I paid for the free breakfast which came on a menu card, where you were to select from a very limited selection.1 hot serving or from 2 colds and one beverage. You will be better served not opting to pay the breakfast included price.
The room service was poor. There were 3 of us in a room, one adult and 2 children. Room service changed the towels once, on our request and gave us 2 towels for 3 ppl!!
I didn't quite understand the bfast offerings when i sought clarification, staff was rude.
I would not stay there ever again and would advise friends, family and the internet not to as well

Unfortunately we had significant flight delays and the hotel gave away our room- even though I had called and told the woman who answered the phone that we would be delayed and told her our eta. She asked for the name on the reservation and told me “no problem, we’ll see you then. “

It was super stressful after an extremely long day of travel and delays to land in an extremely busy city and have nowhere to go. Our family of 4- including our kids- spent the night in the airport as a result since it was too late to get a hotel anywhere else and we had to wait around in the airport the whole next morning until we could go to our cruise. It honestly ruined the whole first day of our cruise and even part of the 2nd day because we were so exhausted when we finally got on board that we were all unwell from lack of sleep.

On the plus side, the manager was extremely apologetic and had no idea this had happened and did his best to make it right, and we were given a full refund. So that was solid. Hope they look at their policies for this kind of thing going forward and make sure that all employees are in sync.

Hated food, the American burger was horrible. The meat was nasty, three others in my group felt the same, we ate less than half of the burger because we were so hungry. We were disappointed from check-in. Staff was less than friendly and welcoming. Forgot a toothbrush and they had none. All three convenience shower items in the shower were empty. The tub was filled with water (it was 2am so no, we didn't ask for another room). Had to call maintenance to get hot water working. Room smelled like pet urine. There was no ice bucket (not that one would have helped with a broken ice machine on our floor). The pool was unkept and filled with debris. Our scheduled and paid for driver to the Port of Miami was a half hour late picking up. Would not stay here again.

The carpet in the room was dirty, sticky to walk on in bare feet, the ac was noisy.
The coffee shop food was very limited and tasted bad, even the oatmeal !!
However, the front desk staff were friendly and attentive.

We were giving wrong information for hotel shuttled, waited well over and hour then took an uber. Check in was ok, given a room where the door hardware was unstable and dead bolt not working. Room change done quickly. Hotel is old, tired and below the standard of a Marriot Cortyard. Food in the cafe took 2 hours to prepare. There was one man trying to serve customers, cook and make cocktails. He did let us know the food would \"take a while \" because it was just him. The only positive thing I can say is the room was clean. Bottom line, stay elsewhere.

We started out calling for their shuttle, after the 3rd call an hour and half later he finally told us the shuttle doesn’t pick up at fort Lauterdale airport! Getting into our 2 booked rooms total disappointment! Beds were full size not queen! Windows so dirty couldn’t even see out them! We reserved a shuttle for the next day which was an hour late, I had paid $90 dollars for (6 of us). The room was more what I would expect from a low end super 8 motel. Paid almost $600 for 2 rooms! Paid $5 for a cup of coffee.
What a disappointment!!!!

The hotel is a bit old, and the rooms are a bit old fashioned with the AC unit in the corner of the room (which is super loud). Some people might not like the smell coming out of the AC since it's too old and kind of molded inside.The Front desk staff and the bistro staff were really friendly. It's located in a convenient area, so if its either for a quick layover, or a couple of nights stay, it's convenient. It can get loud inside the room whenever a flight passes by as its really close to the airport. Nights were usually quiet since I guess that runway is not used for the night flights.

The cleaning will be only done once every 2 days, and we had to request every time we needed the room cleaned. Also, the bistro menu is very limited, so it's better to order food from outside. Overall, we had a pleasant stay,

This hotel needs a makeover in the rooms. The scent is undesirable. The linens were not for 4 persons even though it is on the reservations. The pull out sofa indicated a bed for 2 and it was a twin size. It should not have the marriott name attached to this hotel. Will not recommend.

We had to stay a week due to home renovations, so not a vacation stay. But it was comfortable enough that we enjoyed our stay almost like being at home. The hotel was clean, smelled nice, the room was lovely and well equipped.
Would comment on 3 things: wish the room had a microwave(had to go down to the lobby), wish the fridge was a bit bigger. And the parking situation is a bit of a headache but with patience you can find somewhere to leave your car

The hotel is in the way of airplanes landing route. Too much noisy. Lacks supportive employees; they blocked the room entrance 30 minutes before the checkout time. I went two times to the front counter asking to unblock the door. The woman at the front desk needs a customer care training. This was my worst experience with Marriot’s hotel.

I made reservations for 3 days.
Asked for a non smoking room, ( i have asthma) got there, the room smell like an ashtray. There was a burn on the rug. Bathtub yellowish, no soap, toilet was cracked. The elevator wasn't working. Stay away from restaurant menus that they put under the door. Their food seems to be made out of someones house. My boyfriend ordered a turkey club sandwich and got a piece of bread with cheese and turkey ham. I know this last issue doesn't have to do with the hotel, but they can't allow this people run a business out of the hotel.
