Good stay, but not the 4.4 I was expecting

The hotel is not bad.
They tried to charge me for my wife to just sit with me at breakfast at 1st, when she was not eating due to our personal visit. Then at check tried charge me for my breakfast l, when I paid for breakfast on check in. Also bathroom needs a little attention

Good bye Madrid!

We had a very nice stay. It was our last day in Madrid before we came home back to California. We had some drinks in the bar area. We also had dinner at the hotel. Food was delicious. The next morning we had breakfast at the hotel as well.

Great for an overnight stop

This was a spur of the moment stop for us & it suited our needs. The bed was comfortable & we ate in the restaurant which wasn’t too bad. To us it seemed to be in an area that you would need a car to be able to get to places but for an overnight stop it was fine.

Checked in late and found later in the night that the AC wasn't working in our room. We called asked for help they reset the unit but it was already 2am. We found the reset didn't help. We specified that we would have 3 people in our room 2 adults and 1 toddler and didn't have enough towels in our room. I dont think i would book with them in the future.

Exe Madrid Norte was a beautiful hotel and the staff was very kind! The hotel room was big, clean, and had a great view! The breakfast was delicious and the bar area was great! The only thing about this hotel is the location. It is far from the city center of Madrid and has limited public transportation. The closest practical public transportation is the Cercanias train station that is a 20 minute walk, but is unwalkable due to the hotel being located next to a highway. We had to take numerous taxis in order to get to the closest train station. Otherwise then that, the hotel was great, just not close to any public transportation. Consider this if you are staying here and planning to go to the center of Madrid often.

Nice place that is near the airport. There is not much around the hotel unless you have a car. There is nothing accessible on foot near the hotel. If you need a place to sleep it is fine. Rooms are nice and staff are very helpful.

The hotel is out of the way of Madrid centre and you have to get a bus and the metro. Pool area clean, some restrictions due to covid such as a 2 hour limit at the pool area and no food served only breakfast. Staff on reception helpful as they can be with their limited English. Overall hotel is a 3* standard- could do with an update- especially the bathrooms

The rooms could do with a touch of paint and better finishing. Cleanliness could be improved.

Asked for a bite to eat, was informed it’ll take between 30-45 minutes for room service but it should be ready in about 25-30 minutes if I went down to the restaurant. Since I was hungry, I went down 37 minutes after placing the order, was kept waiting for an extra 10 minutes, collected my plate went to my room (one floor up) sat down and started eating, sadly the food was cold...! (Cold potatoes/fried egg/ham and swimming in oil)

Still charged for it and only “I will speak with the restaurant” reply from front desk.

Very nice hotel

This is a beautiful hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. It is not located near shops or other areas of interest for those wanting to walk around but has a nice cafe/restaurant on site. It is about 15-minute drive from Madrid airport (only 30 Euros by taxi).

The customer service was very good! All staff polite and accommodating. The room is basic but clean, except the carpet was old and stained.

I ate at the restaurant every night because there’s very little in the area, so fortunately the food is quite good! Overall it was a pleasant stay.

A gem,...on the A1 tech corridor. Easy walk to el Cortes Ingles,...pick up some exotic salts and soak in suits tub on the return. Spacious, quiet, with good wifi, room refrigerator, etc., makes multi-night stays a breeze. On grounds parking.

Swimming pool closed?

Chose this hotel mainly for its good price and proximity to both Madrid and Alcobendas. However, without a car it is remote, bus stops close by 171 service good, but nearest Metro station 30 min walk. Room was fine, comfy bed and no traffic noise as others have mentioned (I was on 3rd floor at front of hotel). But my two gripes, it took me 20-30 mins to check in as receptions couldn't find my booking via Expedia. A lot of commotion left me thinking I had nowhere to stay at one point. Other point, the swimming pool shut after my first day, when I enquired the receptionist told me the 'summer has finished'. This was on 15 September in 30c heat. The hotel website says swimming pool open in season, or words to that effect, this should be clearer to avoid disappointment. I was intending to spend a couple of hours by the pool each day, if I'd known it was shut I wouldn't have chosen this hotel.

Good business hotel that needs a caring hand

Te hotel is a little run down. It is especially noticeable in the corners of the room and the carpet which had stains.

I coincide with some other comments that there was a smell of tobacco. We only noticed it in the bathroom the first couple of days.

The breakfast was good, especially the fruit.

Another good thing was that the hotel parking is included in the price.

The hotel is more of a 3 star level.

Used hotel as hub for visiting friends in neigh bough hood - not ideal location for visiting tourist attractions in Madrid (can be done with Metro).

Great, comfortable, affordable hotel. Varied breakfast and friendly staff. Location is OK if you don't need to be right in the city, with street parking 5 minutes walking away from the hotel.
Only detail to be improved, the pillows, too small and fluffy for my taste. Still wholly recomendable.

Spent 3 night at the hotel. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel as a whole. Good family friendly atmosphere. The staff was very kind and very helpful. The pool and terrace are were excellent for relaxing and enjoying the sunny and warm weather. The breakfast buffet was excellent with delicious food and good variety.
The hotel is far away from downtown Madrid; 20 to 25 minutes but well served by local public transit. There is a shopping center within walking distance. Would stay there again.

Clean rooms with good sound insulation. Hallways a bit run down, would definitely merit renovation. Very difficult to find the entrance when driving, spent 20 minutes driving mostly around one-way system. You might feel the hotel is slightly overpriced. On the other hand, hotel staff were very helpful and accommodating.

Typical business hotel in the suburbs of Madrid. I stayed for two weeks and the \"dish of the day\" remained unchanged. Bathroom was old-fashioned.
Not much to do or see around. The hotel is in the business district, where you will find nothing except for the offices, a couple of restaurants and a shopping mall. Downtown is about 30 minutes on taxi.

Good food but some problems

I stayed for 4 days at Novotel Sanchinarro and here is a couple of good things and watchouts based on my experience:

Food: Great breakfast and nice restaurants. Had a problem the first day as I booked a table through an app and they has the possibility to book for 23 hs but actually the kitchen closes at 23 hs.

Location: It is very difficult to access from the north so for me, who was working on the Las Tablas business district it was a nightmare to come back. Two taxi drivers gor lost trying to get to the main entrance.

Room: the hallways leading to the rooms look under maintained but the rooms are comfortable and clean.

The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, just off a big country road. Still you have some bus links to get into town. The most disappointing was the style of the rooms. They look old and dull. Mattress was of medium comfort. Wifi is free but hardly working so if you need to work in the room, this is not possible. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good average as to other hotels this standard level. I only went because I get accor points otherwise would have chosen something different.

I was working nearby so this hotel was great. If you are a tourist, or needing access to central Madrid then this is not the place for you. If you order a cab it arrives with €5 on the meter already because it's so far out. The rooms are a little tired, but clean. Staff absolutely fabulous. I will undoubtedly stay again as it is very convenient for work.

For guests visiting Madrid, driving on the M-30 to the hotel can be tricky. The front entrance is located off the service road and comes up immediately after exiting the motorway. Should you miss it, don't worry. You can take the next exit and access the hotel from the back. Indoor parking is available, ...for €11, otherwise, it's the dirt.

Modern hotel with good breakfast, non heated pool

This is a modern hotel that is off a freeway service road. There is nothing close by for eating or shopping. The hotel staff was very helpful. The room for the four of us was VERY crowded with the fold out bed. No room to walk around either bed or use the desk. For two people it would be fine but the fold out bed made it terrible. We stayed here because of the pool and were disappointed to find it was unheated. After all day in the car we were looking forward to a dip in the pool and a cold pool just didn't satisfy our needs.

I found it easier to park my car at the hotel and it only took 20 mins to get to Sol or Gran Via using a Bus to Plaza de Castilla / Metro. Really good service particularly from the Front Desk staff and the lady at the Pool (the young Life Guard)

I stayed in this hotel for consecutive 9 nights (12 – 20 Jan 2014) and here is what I feel –

Front office and staff – I honestly confess that in my life, I have never come across people who are so helpful in nature. Be it a query or a suggestion or calling a taxi or a printout or even searching for an ATM where my weird card is accepted – this front office never says no and is always more than eager to help as if it is their personal problem. I felt so nice to be in this hotel – its like always being surrounded by a group of friends!

Food – I had only breakfast and it was awesome. It deserves each and every Euro they charge. You have range of dishes to choose from and each one of them is so carefully cooked, presented, preserved. Very nice indeed !

Price – it is affordable. In Weekends, I paid less than 50 Euro and in weekdays, I paid close to 115 without the breakfast. But after all, it is a business hotel, so this is expected

Cleanliness – ultra clean. There is no single piece of dirt anywhere. The bed is so comfortable. I have no complaints

Location – this is far from city center. It takes you 20 Euro to reach Puerta Del Sol by taxi. But then, this is best suited for business travelers. My office was very near and within walking distance, so I didn’t mind paying for taxi to go to the city center. It depends on what purpose you are travelling for.

Overall, if I go back to Madrid ever on business, this is the hotel for me. I don’t have to search again

Everything was good, clean room and fine breakfast, except the location. If you do not have a rental car (parking at hotel is eleven Euros per day), it can be quite inconvenient because the cab, couple with Metro can set you off another fifteen to twenty Euros a day. Nearest Metro is Bambu (the hotel reception will tell you it is Plaza de la Castilla).
