Hotel was beautiful, keith greeted us with a smile and was so helpful with anything, nothing was too much. Unfortunately the night porter was the complete opposite, think he was called adrian. It was like we was an inconvenience, he was very abrupt with the breakfast, this was ordered when we arrived, so on our last day are flight was at 5.45am, so keith explained we can have some breakfast beforing leaving, such as tea coffee, toast, pastries etc. Which was lovely, not all hotels offer this. But adrian didnt seem too happy we came down.

Palma Nova Son Matias Hotel
Hotel is excellent. The best part is it’s location on the beach. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and amenities. Rooms are modern and has a lot of storage space. The hotel mainly geared towards elderly guest. We were in minorities but we stayed out a lot of time. Staff at the reception are extremely helpful and pleasant. Hotel has bus stop less than a minute away and buses go to airport and other resorts nearby.

As a regular visitor to the island this was the first time staying at Son Matias and will definitely come back again in the future.
Just one criticism is the allowing of smoking on the balconies, as a non smoker the smell of smoke coming through the door was the pleasant at all, so maybe only allow smoking from last two or three floors.

Great hotel right on the beach with many delicious restaurants nearby. Management surprised my girlfriend with a bottle of sparkling wine for her birthday (Must got details from passport). It was a nice little touch. There is nightly entertainment but never took part as we went out every night. If you want a relaxing and quiet holiday, this hotel is your choice

My trip was a weekend away with my mum for my 30th without the kids. Was perfect from start to finish. Hotel absolutley gorgeous.
Our flight actually got cancelled and we are currently now in another hotel courtesy of easyJet but we feel it's absolutely nothing on where we have just been at son matias beach. Will definatley return and recommend.

We have just returned home July 2018 after staying at this hotel and we wanted to write about our experience as it was fantastic. The location is amazing, how anybody could criticise this hotel is beyond us. We have stayed in 5 star hotels that weren’t as well managed or as comfortable as this hotel. This was our first “adult only” hotel experience, but the age range in the hotel was mixed with lots of younger people and the majority of other guests were on a repeat visit, some as many as 17 and we could quite see why. Recently renovated, with beautiful bathrooms, incredibly hard working and acccomodating staff. The hotel faces the sea front and was superbly quiet at night, a wonderful nights rest. Will definitely return.

We arrived early and found the lady in reception very pleasant and helpful. Our room on the second floor was ready! Lovely sea view and exceptionally clean rooms. Beds are a little hard but that could just be my opinion. Breakfast we were spoiled for choice (appears to cater for mainly British guests). As this is an adult only hotel there appeared to be varied entertainment but we didn't stay in so can't really comment. We were only at the hotel for a few day's so more wanted to explore and with the situation of this hotel it was easy to do so. Would definitely stay here again!

My stay was ok but the half board where you don't get a soft drink with dinner think is terrible you pay £230 a night for half board you have to pay for a bottle of water with dinner I think is terrible and 2 euro for a small bottle of Coke other than that everything else about the hotel was great food was amazing I've never tasted Bananna ice cream so good and as ever other people say about this hotel is the entertainment team Ian and Michael are so funny made my weeks holiday to remember we only stayed in hotel one night and it was Abba Again Tribute act and they were fantastic and the sun loungers were so comfy

Nothing to do here for younger couples. The hotel is full of elders, with an average age of 55. All the service is focused on them. Wi-Fi is not working in the rooms, however promoted. There is no room service available. The Junior Suite rooms are in the middle of the building, and you hear all the music from the bar until noon. Hotel location is good and close to the nice beach. Did not try the pool area.

Taking a brief respite from our European holiday, the hotel and area were very welcome. If you don't mind being in the middle of the action, this is for you. The hotel, though central, was still not noisy and you could walk to everything you might need. Be sure and visit Sant Elm as well as this is a great, more quaint area. Also be sure and visit the old town Palma. The breakfast was more than adequate and we never took advantage of the nighttime entertainment although it seemed good. It would have been appreciated to have a booklet describing the amenities of the hotel and area in our room. Loved having an inconspicuous clothes line on our balcony. We would consider the hotel again.

A great hotel in a first class position. It had a fresh, modern feel and was immaculately clean. The sun beds were comfortable, the pool was crystal clear and the jacuzzi was fab. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. The bingo/quizzes/tea dances were not my thing but other guests were enjoying them.
