Smooth and efficient check in and room was ready before mid-day. Staff were excellent explaining the amenities offered in the hotel and also throughout our stay.
Fantastic room with an unrestricted view of the Med.
We will definitely be back to Zel Mallorca, just wish we had booked for longer!

Beautiful hotel. Great service. Conveniently located by taxi approximately 20 min to Palma city center. Plenty of restaurants and cafes on strip you can walk. Restaurant in hotel is delicious. Breakfast buffet is amazing. Beach front property- but no beach lounge chairs that belong to hotel- you need to rent them separately.

I stayed at this hotel last year and it was great everything on point, a great venue with great service this year same good venue however service was generally slow and not good. check in took over an hour and then on check out they charged me for the wrong room number when received online invoice and it was over £700 after sending many emails complaining and seeking cooperation to amend this issue ive had nothing sorted and just one email saying we are looking into this now we are a week and a half off check out. I mean how hard is it to see wrong names to wrong check ins and clients paying incorrectly and putting this right? clearly very hard and all after a check in that took over an hour in heat not ideal. shame because the hotel is nice but the service does not match it.

Super disappointing to have to rewrite this review.
We were so excited about our stay at Zel Mallorca - the property is great, the staff are super friendly and it is overall a wonderful hotel. The issues we experienced were really disappointing - the hotel had no Wi-Fi or working entertainment for us for over five days. They tried many times to fix it, but unfortunately it was a massive outage. They promised us they would compensate for the inconvenience. And kept pushing the conversation back till the end of our 10 days when they came back and said they would do nothing. Legally and morally they handled it very poorly, and we left with such a horrible taste from the management. Once they got their full stay out of us they went back on their word, didn’t offer a single bill or credit for the inconvenience. I don’t trust a hotel group of that caliber that don’t value what they say ro customer or even try do the right thing when they fault.
Too many other beautiful and high end hotels to choose from on the island - I would pick another if I had the choice.
Concierge is also hopeless. They couldn’t get us a single reservation at a single restaurant. And we ended up having to do everything else which defeats the purpose of being at a hotel with that service.
The area is also incredibly touristy and tacky.

The style of the property is gorgeous. Friendly staff and quick service. Hotel breakfast & dinner is outrageously good. Great vibe/atmosphere. Will stay again. Only a 2 person occupancy per room though, unless you’re traveling with a child below 11 years old.

Rooms were very nice, but I believe it was over priced for what it is. Dinner and drinks were very over priced, for the quality of the food, thus why it’s so slow compared to other restaurant and bars near by. Very helpful and friendly staff. Gym was missing some equipment that was advertised on picture.

I loved the hotel room and overall the whole Mediterranean ambience of the hotel. It was clean, spacious, and a vibe. The beso beach restaurant in the hotel and pool service guys were amazing. It was a nice perk to have right onsite. However, the one thing that I disliked about the hotel itself was the people working there. Unfortunately they were the reason I did not have the best experience because of the rudeness they displayed my friend and talking about her looks. The people working in a hotel is a big reason people have good memories and want to return some day. I hope they keep that in mind for future guests. Thank you!

Fantastic stay

Myself and my mum just had the most amazing stay at the Zel Hotel. I would highly recommend and will be back. The staff are so helpful and friendly nothing was to much for them to make our stay so special. Stunning beachfront hotel suitable for families, couples and solo travellers

Overall, we had a great time at Zel Mallorca. Checkin process and staff, and Beso beach staff was excellent. The prices at the main restaurant (not Beso beach) were extremely overpriced with poor options and staff could do better (compared to Beso beach staff).

Had a lovely stay in Zel Mallorca in July. Fantastic check in process with very welcoming start and refreshments offered. Rooms were clean and had everything you needed. Only thing to mention was the air con wasn’t the best in our room, but family next door had no issues. The hotel was very attentive in ensuring we were located in a quiet part of hotel due to travelling with children. We hadn’t requested this but really appreciated the thought that had clearly gone into where our room was situated. Grounds were immaculate with pool cleaned every day and enjoyed not having to rush for sunbeds. Breakfast was one of the nicest I’ve had this summer. Plenty of choice each day. Location was fantastic and you were spoilt for choice in terms of supermarkets and restaurants. Beach was very clean and a children’s playground was also close by. Hotel gym looked lovely and free classes each morning.
Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would gladly return.

James and the team made me feel very welcome. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff couldn’t do enough to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. Everything was top class luxury and I felt very spoilt.
I would highly recommend and will certainly be going back.

We’d stayed at this hotel in 2022 and really liked the location and the rooms, but found it a bit noisy around the reception and pool - music levels on the loud side. I appreciate this might be a Melia ‘thing’, but it’s a really lovely hotel.

Based on that, we decided to try it again this year (I’m a bit late on the review - it was October!) after it had change to Zel Mallorca following some kind of take over by Rafa Nadal!

First impression was that it is still a beautiful hotel and the location still (obviously) fantastic. The rooms had had a refresh as well - the accommodation is of a very high standard!

I had a couple of issues through.

1. If you want a quiet stay with quiet time by the pool or a room overlooking the pool, you might find the music loud. It’s loud in the reception areas around the pool and in the Beach Club area too. Really gone for a night club vibe which didn’t seem to fit the target demographic.

2. In the interests I guess, of a more personable reception experience, the hotel has done away with a reception desk. Whilst this seems like a good idea on the surface, it was a bit like running a gauntlet every time one walks through the reception area, with various members of staff milling around. We found it a bit of an odd experience!

That said, the hotel team are VERY helpful (although wouldn’t reduce the volume of the music!), but if you’re looking for a quieter, relaxing time, then rent sun beds beach & parasols on the beach.

You have to check yourself in on an app by entering your own personal info - unusual and time consuming. Probably a measure to save on staff costs. Most of the rooms (i estimate about 2/3) face the back side of the property (road) so unless you pay for a seaview room you experience some road noise. I was also bitten by tiger mosquitos on the balcony of the hotel. These transfer dengue. A shopkeeper nearby told me he wears only hard fabric clothes due to mosquitos. The room condition was brand new, the bed very comfortable. Bathroom was excellent. Compared to the roughly 50 guests at breakfast only a handful ate dinner at the hotel restaurant - probably due to the high prices and limited main course choices - not even free bread with wine. There was no parking available at the hotel (you have to park about 200 meters away). The outdoor pool is unheated - I was surprised by how tiny the 2 hot tubs are - barely 2 people fit. They could afford to invest in a larger hot tub. Overall a good value in low season.

This hotel is more suited to friends or couples rather than families.

It is very \"trendy\" and if you're a regular person / holidaymaker (rather than someone who is super-glamorous or who has had a lot of cosmetic surgery) then perhaps this isn't the place for you.

It isn't somewhere to go with children and the breakfast on offer is a bit unusual (broccoli and sausages rather than yogurt and cereal).

A big deal is made about there being no actual check-in desk, which makes it tricky to do anything quickly as finding a staff member to speak to is quite hard and it seems to take an eternity to get anything done.

On the plus side, the \"disco room\" breakfast is great - giving the hotel a kind of 'night club' vibe, and the rooms are gorgeous. There is also a very decent gym.

The two pools are also great - though the one for children is on the more shady side of the hotel so not somewhere for lying in the sun.
