I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing — not because of the room itself, but because of how an issue was handled.

The main problem was that the TV in my room did not work for the duration of my stay. I reported it on the first day and was assured it would be fixed. Each day I followed up, and each day I was told it had been “marked as completed” — yet nothing had actually been done. No repair, no replacement, a room move but only if I was there for 8am prompt the day before I left, no real explanation. I hated the fact they lied to me.

What made it worse was the attitude. The staff response felt dismissive and indifferent, as though the issue simply didn’t matter. It stopped feeling like a maintenance problem and became a customer service problem. Being repeatedly told something is resolved when it clearly isn’t is frustrating, especially when you’re away from home and just want to relax in the evening.

As a brand that is very well established in the UK, I was genuinely surprised. In my experience, this would not have been handled this way in a UK Premier Inn. That consistency and reliability is what people trust the brand for — and unfortunately, that standard wasn’t met here.

The location is good and the bed was comfortable, but when basic issues are ignored and concerns are brushed off, it really affects the overall experience.

Would I stay here again? Probably not — not because of the broken TV, but because of how it was handled.

Overall, the staff were courteous and professional. The main issue was with room cleaning. It took two days for our room to be cleaned and for towels to be replaced. We raised this several times with reception and were assured it would be taken care of, but this did not happen on the first day and only on the second day after repeated follow-ups. We were told this was due to a third-party cleaning contractor. To be fair, the reception staff made genuine efforts to help and shared in the frustration caused by the lack of response from the cleaning service.

Additionally, the air conditioning seemed to have a life of its own and would not go above 19°C. Given that we were staying in winter, this made the room uncomfortable.

Parking was eady right next to the building but you pay extra for it. You are in the city centet so you need to use the garage. Beds were very comfortable.

We had a great stay here. Everybody at the front desk was pretty nice. It would be helpful, however, if everyone spoke English. It was hard to communicate with some of the non-English speaking staff.
