Ocean view good, staff very attentive. NOT ENOUGH SUN LOUNGERS. Guests get up at 5 a.m. to save chairs and if you don't you won't have one anywhere. Around any pool or beach, Every single day and they do not enforce the rule of removing people's things after not being there over an hour. Ruins your trip!!

The rooms were clean, had great views of the resort, and were spacious for the two of us. We appreciated the multiple check ins by hotel staff to ensure we had everything we needed. There were multiple areas to enjoy the pool and to have either a quiet area or more lively area. The food was A++++ for all meals.

We arrived our rooms were not what we booked we needed 2 queen beds we had a big family teenagers who needed bed not roll away beds ! Also we where charged for gift shop teams after using Apple Pay so double charged , we had know power fist night, no running water ! Never compensated in any . way. The manager lady was very rude in the buffet don’t want to even repeat how she talked to me like I was a child ! Not rude once but twice! The food at the restaurants was good the resort staff was also good the entertainment can be improved! Just buffet lady manager was bad !

The complaints: Took a while to get hot water to the room. Packets of coffee not included in the room after the first day. Having to go thru concierge for dinner reservations then having them push the property tours.

Among the hotels in Los Cabos, I think this one is the best. The pool was amazing, and ordering food was very easy and tasty. I would love to come back again — highly recommend this place! Our suite had a nice view towards the ocean. The staff are very professional. The outdoor pools are great, from the kids pool to the infinity pool and of course the lazy river (our favorite). The beach view from the pool area is expansive. During our visit the hotel wasn't at capacity so easy access to pool chairs. We did not choose the all-inclusive plan at $150 PP/day. The meals are expensive and if you drink very much (we don't) it is probably a good idea. It was easy to spend $75-80/pp for dinner, and $50/pp for breakfast. The alocholic drinks were okay.

The rooms were really nice and the property was well-maintained. My only complaint would be that what distinguished this property for me was the lazy river. It looked so beautiful and relaxing, but it was basically unusable unless you are a small child because it is only about 2 and 1/2 feet deep. If not for the lazy river I would have stayed closer to either San Lucas or San Jose. There is road construction on the road to San Jose for the next 2 years which makes it a 35 minute drive.

My stay at Villa La Valencia was very disappointing, especially considering the $2,600 we spent. While the resort itself is visually beautiful and clean, the overall experience did not match the price or expectations.

First, we were charged $80 per day per room just for cleaning, which felt excessive and unfair — especially since this charge wasn’t clearly explained ahead of time. The food at the resort was not good at all, yet extremely overpriced. I highly recommend eating off-resort if you choose to stay here.

Unfortunately, the atmosphere at the resort didn’t feel welcoming for Black guests. From the moment we arrived, we noticed a clear difference in how we were treated compared to white guests. Staff at the on-site market even followed us around while shopping for snacks, which made us feel uncomfortable and targeted.

Another major issue was how aggressively hotel staff pressured us into signing up for a resort membership. Even after we said “no,” they continued to push — taking up nearly half of our day trying to convince us. After declining the membership, a staff member tried to change the discount we were promised on excursions, only honoring it when we called her out.

To top it off, we were unexpectedly charged a $500 deposit at check-in, which was not mentioned anywhere during the booking process. Many staff members frequently begged for tips, which added to the uncomfortable feeling of being constantly pressured.

Overall, I would not recommend . A waste

My stay at Villa Valencia Cabo was nothing short of amazing. The entire property was spotless — incredibly clean and well-maintained throughout. I felt completely safe during my stay, which made the experience even more relaxing and enjoyable.

The staff truly made a difference — everyone was kind, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. From check-in to check-out, their hospitality was top-notch.

The location is beautiful, the amenities are modern and luxurious, and the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. I highly recommend Villa Valencia Cabo to anyone looking for a high-end, stress-free vacation experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Don’t do the all inclusive.

The room was great. The pools were fun. The race for chairs in the morning by the pool was obnoxious. And breakfast & lunch on the all inclusive worked well and was decent but the dinner situation was also obnoxious. You have to have reservations to be able to sit and for the most part, they don’t have enough capacity for the whole resort so if you haven’t made a reservation by the time you arrive, it’s hard to get a decent dinner on the all inclusive. The Buffet dinner option was actually awful.

No all-inclusive equals second-class citizens

Very clean and great pool and beachfront. What was not so great is you can book non-all inclusive but it feels like they have gone to lengths to make that the inconvenient and expensive choice. For example - you have a coffee pot in the room and cups but you only get complimentary coffee making supplies for your first night stay if you don’t have the all inclusive package; even cheap highway-side hotels offer complimentary coffee in the room and in the lobby!

This is a typical ‘timeshare’ property, all though, they now sell ‘memberships’. The room was pretty. Showers were weak. I don’t like overhead showers so I turned it to the handheld, but the overhead continued to drip cold water. USE Uber! They will try to sell you into taxis and they are double the price (taxis can spiff the hotel). Uber is everywhere!!! We ate at La Taberna/Italian. That was disappointing. The glass of wine was old and had to be returned. The waiter tried to lecture me that glasses of wine are just not as good. That is just not true. They are if they are not properly stored. The dinner…below average. Maybe I should expect this in Mexico. You could get better Italian out of the freezer at Safeway. Overall, I had a great time with my sister! We laughed, read and enjoyed our time together.

This property is outstanding. It’s a beautiful lobby, friendly staff. Safe. The pools yes at least two or three. Multiple hot tubs in the area. There’s a lazy river, w/ Temperature that is perfect.

When we came in yesterday, beach access was not permitted. The currents were strong and the wind was very heavy.

But everything is so mindful here from cleaning off your table while you’re eating, taking away extra trash crumbs on the table to showing you select cuts of meat.

I asked for a double cappuccino at one of the restaurants and it came out in a sniffer with perfectly whipped milk. The shampoo and conditioner and cream in the rooms are Italian in French based. The bed was so comfortable. The view was outstanding. You have to visit to appreciate how distinct it is from other hotels you may have visited.

The property itself is beautiful. We choose to purchase the all inclusive which was an extra 150 dollars per person and 75 dollars for our son. That is $375 per day for the meal. Our check out day, we didn’t have breakfast, but instead choose to have brunch at 1:00. To our surprise, we were charged for our meal! They told us that our all inclusive ended at noon. When asked if they could count our brunch as the breakfast meal since it was the first meal of the day, the manger still refused. We paid for the meal, but it feels like this resort is penny pinching even though we paid a good 1000 per night with the meal included. You would think that the 5 start resort would cater to the guests of the resort. We also purchased a package where there was one free massage excluding the taxes. The tax turned out to be 40 dollars! That’s fine, but then when in the massage room we have to purchase the oil for 50 dollars! When I said , no I wanted the free one, the other option was 35 dollars for application of the oil only. I didn’t want to argue, so I agreed. We also agreed to a timeshare sales pitch ( 90 minutes our time) in exchange for a free pirate show boat ride for the family. What was not included was the 60 dollar Uber ride to get there and port fees.
Lesson learned: free is never really free! We have stayed in other sister companies of this villa resort and have had a better experience. A lot of the staff here are rude in comparison ( not all as there are many great employees )

I am not one to write reviews, I usually think it is a waste of time, honestly. However - I feel the need to share my recent experience (this week, 1/2-1/4, 2025). My son and I went on a solo trip to Mexico, for his special double-digit birthday. We began the first 5 days / nights of our trip at another hotel on the pacific side of Mexico, where that experience was \"to be expected\". Meaning, based on the price I paid. We stayed for the slides, kids' areas and various other activities that catered to his age group. Anyhow, I mention that because we had such a wonderful time those 5 days and nights that we decided to stay another 2 nights. Our current hotel could not extend our stay so, I booked here: Villa La Valencia where I spent a small fortune to not only stay there but to upgrade to the \"all inclusive\" (not worth it, at all). Now, I will say that they have PLENTY of staff maintaining the property because it is absolutely stunning and immaculately clean. However, the \"VIP\" staff experience as it pertains to anything you need is awful. You have to wake up at 6AM to get any descent seat by the pool which than you have to \"wait\" at because if you do not - they will charge you. I agree that saving chairs while you are not actually there is frustrating, yes - so, change the policy I spent $2K to stay at this hotel and I can't even sit at the pool?

When we arrived at the property we were informed that we did not book the All Inclusive package even though I showed them messages between myself and an EXPEDIA representative stating that the package booked was an All Inclusive package. We also booked an Ocean View Room and we could only see the Ocean if we leaned way over the balcony and looked far left to see the Ocean. The hotel blamed Expedia for the confusion that cost us an additional $3000.00 as we wanted to eat and drink when we arrived at the hotel. I am not sure if the hotel is running a scam or Expedia is to get more people to book this property but I could have stayed at a nice 5 star hotel for what it ended up costing us in the end.

Family oriented, enjoyed the lazy river. The infinity pool water was vey cloudy (unsure if there was a cleaning issue). Could benefit from a swim up bar. Also they had one bar in the lobby that closed relatively early. Enjoyed being able to choose what dates we wanted to be all inclusive. The servers by the infinity pool seemed to have had a hard time managing orders and keeping up. Overall beautiful property with 1 bedroom suites.

This upscale resort has all of the amenities that you can think of. Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience at check in. According to them a 16 year old is considered an adult and wanted to charge additional fees. A manager was called and was in an authority power trip and threatened us to cancel our reservation. Some stuff were friendly and others seemed annoyed if you didn't tip give dollars or more. The prices on food and drinks extremely expensive. We were there for a wedding and everything was rushed to the point that champagne was served and was taken away before the toast.

Never Staying Here Again

We recently stayed at Villa La Valencia in Los Cabos expecting a relaxing vacation for our anniversary. Unfortunately, our stay was anything but relaxing due to the constant harassment from hotel employees trying to sell time shares or as they like to call it RTU, (right to use).

From the moment we checked in, the pressure was on. At first, it was a friendly suggestion to attend a \"welcome breakfast,\" and get some discounts on activities which turned out to be a high-pressure sales pitch. Initially we were told it would take no more than 90mins….but, despite politely declining everything thrown at us 3hours later is when we got to leave.

The rooms were fine, and the amenities were decent, but none of that matters when you can't enjoy your stay. Rodrigo…who is apparently the last stage of this scam even went as far as to messaging me on WhatsApp after we firmly declined everything.

The pool rules don’t exist….we were told it closed at 8pm however after 2 days we realized that people were there way past 8 and no one would say anything to them. They have an amazing infinity pool which we thought was adults only but you wont get to enjoy it since they let kids go in there and get rowdy. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice if they want a peaceful vacation without being constantly pestered to buy a time share or enjoy the pool with their significant others.

Save yourself the headache and stay somewhere else.

The resort was beautiful and had great service. The trip would have been near perfect if it wasn’t for an extra charge they added to our room during check out. At check-in, we were told two separate times, by two separate employees, that we had resort credit that we could use anywhere on the resort. During check out we were told that this was only a “Spa credit” and that the employees were wrong during check-in. We had to pay everything we bought during our stay, and we lost our “Spa credit” as well. We were told that there was nothing they could do about it, even though their employees were the ones who told us the false information at check-in.

Resort was convenient with a toddler as it was smaller and easy to get around (basically everything was in a circle around the pool areas).

All the fees is what get you - they charged service fees AND \"environmental fees\" for EVERY meal and service and on top of that about $180 at the end for hotel fees. They even wanted to charge us for an extra Tide laundry pod eek.

Resort is incredible clean which I loved, toilets were even heated, but the fees and the way they try to rip off the visitors really turned me off.

Our stay at the resort began promisingly with a beautiful view and notable amenities like a well-equipped gym and a dedicated lobby bar staff. However, the positive aspects were overshadowed by numerous issues.

The check-in process was poorly managed, with rooms unavailable until dinner, forcing us to use the lobby bathrooms to change for pool and beach access. We were surprised by unexpected charges, contrary to the all-inclusive promise, a concern echoed by other guests. Dining experiences were underwhelming, especially at the buffet and the steak restaurant, which failed to impress.

A major inconvenience was the scarcity of pool and beach chairs, with the advice to secure them before 7 AM being impractical for a relaxing vacation. The resort's early closure by 9 PM limited evening activities, and management's response to our concerns was both unhelpful and costly.

The room service, particularly the restocking of water and towels, was inadequate, leading us to buy water externally and reuse towels. After over a decade of enjoyable vacations in Mexico, this experience was a disappointing first, characterized by an overpriced stay, average food, and a lack of basic amenities like towels and chairs. The hardworking staff at certain facilities, like the lobby bar, provided some relief, but overall, the resort failed to meet our expectations for a relaxing and accommodating vacation.

1) This was one of the most beautiful and cleanest resort experiences. The bathrooms were remarkably clean and regularly wiped down, even the public ones near the pool.

2) This resort has some inefficiencies. It took us 20-minutes to complete the check-in process. When we thought we cleared the check-in hurdle we were asked for $130 in a resort fee claimed to be referenced in the original Expedia reservation - I was unable to verify the claim.

There are two restaurants that require dinner reservations, or a third buffet option. Reservations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance and even then you may be eating really early (5pm) or late (9pm).

Every place we sat for meals or at the pool had a tab that would need to be closed - a long ribbon receipt in triplicate and stapled together which we would need to sign before moving. Guests are walking with an identifiable wireless wristband that opens our doors, but that technology does not help any aspect of the stay except opening your room door.

Check-out started promptly with a printed off closing statement. We were asked to insert a credit card to complete a charge of $1,801.86 (pesos) for expenses incurred during our stay. When I questioned him, it became obvious he was trying to keep charges on my statement until I caught them. I called him on his dishonesty and misleading me. I felt angry at being treated this poorly. His response made it clear he was trying to trick me by rushing me through the checkout payment.

The property was very family friendly. If you want to go to the infinity pool just be sure to reserve a spot by 7am even though they say its not allowed otherwise you wont get spot.
***** be aware that even though this booking says all inclusive it isnt and expedia will provide no support for once you arive. The cost for all inclusive is $1200usd per person and very much worth it. I wouldnt book through this method again due to the confusion.

Great stay a second time

This was our second time staying at Villa La Valencia, and it was a terrific time once again. We enjoyed the pools and amenities. Food was great. Special thanks to Fernanda and Kelly from Kids Club (our daughter didn't want to leave), Alessandro from Pool bar, and Sotero from the Palmita market for being just the most friendly, helpful and terrific.
