Very good breakfast options.
Shower in room had power but, did not stay in the shower head holder, which caused water to go everywhere.
TV remote did not work.
Loud noise from outside. Room was OK but, had seen better days.

Great little gem

Fabulous stay in a very good location. Plenty of bars and restaurants to suit all close by. The courtyard is a lovely spot to enjoy a glass or two and the bar area has a good selection of drinks. Rooms were clean, spacious and well appointed, though we thought ours needed a dressing table.

Great little hotel

Very nice hotel close to the centre of Krakow and everything is within walking distance for everything else. Trans also running close by to get you further afield.

Stayed on my own and was put in the top floor and I must say the room is a little small with nowhere to store your luggage if staying for more than a few days. Clothes hangers were provided so you can hang your items on coat hooks. The rooms on the top floor have a sloping roof so if you're tall like myself you tend to hit the ceiling a few times. Everybody else I spoke to had a great time so I must have been the exception?

There was a fridge in the room and everything was spotless with a choice of a radiator or air con.

The breakfast was the highlight with a vast amount to choose from from hot to cold there was something for everybody including cakes.

The staff were all very pleasant and willing to help you with anything.

At the end of the day the bar is a nice place to relax.

What a wonderful hotel in the heart of the old Jewish Quarter. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was lovely and we loved the garden at the rear of the hotel. I spent a couple of late afternoons in the garden with my Kindle and a G and T for company. The staff arranged for a cake, balloons, a bottle of bubbles and a card for my husband's birthday on the Friday - his face was a picture when we went back to our. room I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would most definitely stay here again. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for making our stay such a pleasure.

I didn’t really enjoy this property. The beds weren’t that comfortable and the blankets were more like thin duvets wrapped in large sheets. They were too big for the single beds and were hard to keep in the bed at night.

Our room was on the top floor. When we got there the blinds in the sky lights in the ceiling were open letting the sun heat the room. This resulted in extremely hot temperature in the room in addition to the outside temperature in Krakow being 30 degrees. The air conditioner did not work. The manager attempted to provide different rooms at another property which were not satisfactory to us since 1 of the rooms did not have air conditioning and in the other property the 2 of us would not be in the same room. Not pleased with this hotel at all.

Nice though needs a loving hand

We enjoyed our stay at the Spatz Hotel. However we found the hotel a bit run down with worn carpets etc. The beds however were really comfortable and the hotel room clean.
We didn't however have airconditioning as it was broken. We stayed right under the roof with two small windows and it was 34 degrees. We were promised that someone would be coming to fix it but no one came. Very disappointing and extremely hot.
We were given 2 fans for our room.
The hotel bar and beer garden was really cosy with amazing cocktails. Service in the bar slow but great drinks.
The area around the hotel is perfect with lots of shops and restaurants and close to the castle and river for cruises.

Fab hotel in Kazimierz area. 5 mins to great places to eat and drink. Helpful staff and the Reception were so pleasant. Great value for money with a lovely breakfast included. There are no lifts if that my concern you. Room had a safe/ kettle tea coffee/toiletries/ fan / minibar. There is also a garden which was lovely to have a quiet drink in. Central for the main square/ Wawel castle and the river. There was city noise at night but not as bad as nearer the main square. Can’t fault it.

We moved to another hotel after booking a triple room for 3 adults at Spatz last year and being given a double room with 3 beds (one of which was a child’s bed) shoehorned into the space with a risk of danger from the overhead bedside lights that then hung over 2 of the beds due to the shuffle along of beds, the only outside light was from a roof window which let the rain in when we opened it for some air! Toilet did not flush well also. Not provided with any suitable alternatives to keep our party together, only to split us up into other rooms across the hotel which is not what we requested when booked.

The staff and service at the hotel were absolutely amazing. They were extremely friendly and helped me with a variety of things, including: storing my suitcase (which the airline had lost and then delivered to the hotel) while i was out for the night, helping look up the most efficient route to the Salt Mines since I didn't book a tour, storing my bags after I checked out since my flight wasn't until 6pm. Everyone was very pleasant and professional, and it really made my stay!

Great place to stay, it is nicely positioned within the Jewish quarter and within easy walking distance of the old town and all it has to offer.
Breakfast is your usual continental affair but with the addition of the choice of cooked eggs (fried, scrambled, hard or soft boiled), omelette or crepes. There is also the option of a full English breakfast for a charge but to be honest don't know why you would with everything that was on offer.
We had a basic double room (two singles pushed together as many of these types of hotels do) which was perfect for a short stay, tea and coffee making facilities and a reasonably priced mini bar (with soft drinks only).
The staff were great and couldn't be more helpful.

First of all the staff didn't welcome us at all and they seemed bored. They just gave us one key which was a bit tricky to use on the door. The Spatz is in a great location, 10 minute walk to old town but situated in the Jewish Quater which has a great selection of bars and restaurants which are a lot more budget friendly. The staff at the hotel were very helpful and knowledgeable, nothing was to much trouble. Stayed in one of the deluxe rooms which was huge and well worth the extra £10 per night we paid. If we return to Krakow I would stay at the Spatz again.

Clean & well located hotel, though the sign could be a little bigger! Some bedroom furnishings were a little worn and our radiator was broken so was stuck on full constantly but they provided a fan and we were able to open the window. Toilet & shower were spotless & welcome drink was a nice touch. Breakfast was well stocked & staff were friendly. Also drinking water dispenser was a really good idea.

Hotel arranged for us to be collected from the Airport which was good. At the moment there are roadworks right out the hotel, road being dug up, but it didn’t effect us with noise etc. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful as we was going on an early trip ( which they booked for us) leaving at 6:25 am they supplied us with lunch bags as we would miss breakfast which was helpful to us. There was as other reviews have stated noise from a bar outside the hotel which goes on till late , but once windows closed it didn’t disturb our sleep. We ate in the restaurant for dinner which was very reasonably priced, loved the chocolate brownie & strawberry ice cream dessert 😊 Overall pleasant stay.

Hotel service was excellent. Contacted us prior to travelling and booked our airport transport and all trips. Hotel location very central, excellent breakfast and packed breakfast prepared when leaving early for a trip. Beautiful city and restaurants convenient to the hotel. Took a horse and carriage trip around the city, visited auschwitz and the salt mines. Definitely recommend this hotel and Krakow for a city break.

Great hotel very helpful staff needs a lift

This is a good hotel in a good location with lots of eating options around the immediate area, rooms are tight but comfortable clean and well furnished, and the bathroom spacious although a shelf in the shower would be a good addition. There was only one problem - no lift and with 3 levels of accommodation above the ground floor entry it needs one.
The staff were exceptionally helpful - thank you.

Great hotel!

Had a great stay here. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, full of recommendations for restraunts and things to do. The rooms were very clean and spacious, beds were comfortable and overall, one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Both the bar and restaurant were lovely and breakfast had a great variety. Also, it was very well located for walking between the Jewish Quarter and Main Market areas. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if visiting Krakow

Overall experience was very good. However, bed and furnitures in the room needs updating. In my room there is one tile that is crack, radiator was bleeding with rust and furnitures and bed has scratches not good to the eyes. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast was good but need one more coffee machine to avoid queueing!

Great Hotel, but avoid if you can't cope with stairs, as no lift, though they do help with bags. Very helpful and friendly staff on Reception and in the Bar, who speak good English. Good, ample buffet breakfast, though maybe need 2nd coffee machine to avoid queues. Some street noise for front rooms and some noise from Courtyard for backrooms, but not too bad. Rooms clean and spacious, Hotel Bar and Courtyard good for pre and post outing drinks. Try the Hot choc with Raspberry vodka for a nightcap. Some rooms have Fan, some Air con, all had minibar and tea/coffee, TV, hairdrier, etc.. Recommend the nearer Restaurants and Jewish quarter, for quieter and nicer atmosphere, or 20 min walk past Castle to main tourist area in the Square and tourist shopping. Beds and pillows a bit soft for our personal preference, but overall loved this place and would def use again.

Spatz Aparthotel - Krakow

The hotel is ideally placed for walking distance to the main square and other historic sites.

The staff at the hotel couldn't be more helpful or friendly and breakfast caters for all palettes which includes freshly cooked boiled/scrambled/fried eggs, omelettes, chocolate and jam crepes of your choice.

For a little extra money the deluxe rooms are very spacious and offer complimentary, toiletries, dressing gown, stocked mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities. We visited in February and the room was always cosy and warm.

It was our daughters birthday during our stay and prior to arriving we emailed the hotel to ask if they could arrange a birthday cake and bottle of wine, when entering the room they had arranged balloons, banners, cake and wine, we couldn't of asked for more.

There are plenty of restaurants in close proximity to the hotel which are worth a visit.

Spatz Hotel A Little Gem

The hotel is located in the Jewish area of Krakow . Set in a pleasant location on a corner , nearby some me lovely restraunts , cake and coffee bars and shops . The rooms are large and nice décor . The hotel staff are very polite and is kept clean to a good standard . The dining and bar areas are well managed and run . The breakfast itself is good with a good choice of food . For visiting the area the hotel is located in a good positionhead south to the river and shindlers factory and Jewish Ghetto area to the north the Wawel Castle and Beautiful Krakow main square . We would recommend also a visit to Auschwitz = Berkenau and the Salt Mines tours both very well organised

Really like the hotel from the minute we walked in. Lovely bar to the left and the restaurant to the right. Me and two friends were staying in a triple room which was a great size. Never felt cramped or in each other’s way! All the staff were very helpful and friendly will definitely be going back!

We absolutely loved our stay in Krakow. The whole experience was exceptional and the hotel was great. No elevator and we were staying in Room 25 which was a very spacious family room right at the top of the hotel. 71 steps to be exact! It was a help in working off the delicious food but would be a definite challenge for the older and less fit traveller. Young, helpful staff who really couldn't do enough to help. Offered to hold on to our baggage on the last day as we had a night flight. Don't hesitate to book this hotel if you are going to Krakow. It's within a 10 minute walk of Wawel Castle and the centre and on the edge of the Jewish quarter with its nightlife and restaurants and street food. Also the breakfasts are great so ensure you take that option when booking.

Great hotel- highly recommended

Really clean and friendly hotel in a great location. Only downside is no lift but then I knew this when I booked and requested a low floor which was perfect. Room was well equipped, plenty of space and an amazing shower. Breakfasts were really good with plenty of choice with fresh cooked options. There is no air conditioning, but there was a huge fan in the room and huge windows and it is an old building so that was part of its charm. Will definitely stay again. Thank you Spatz.

Great apartment which was close to lots of sights

Ideal for a city break as everything was in walking distance. Staff were great, very friendly. They booked taxis, trips and recommended restaurants and every one was worth visiting. Only negative was the slippery shower tray, I need a grab rail! I would definitely return.

Horrible stay. Quiet and safe area. Close walk to transit, some good bars/restaurants. Room backed onto a elementary school where kids screamed all morning! Also our fridge and phone in room did not work, asked front desk to fix it nothing was done. Next day asked again! The manager came and replaced our fridge and took the phone but never brought a new one back. We weren't compensated for anything. Cleaning lady also just walked right into our room, failing to knock. Third day went down to get the free breakfast. It was standard. I was the only person in the restaurant and asked the woman if she had fruit because I could see the fruit salad in the kitchen. She repeatedly said no to me. Another older couple came down to eat, she brought out the fruit salad which she indeed had. The room itself was ok and the hotel was clean. There is barely any wifi. So overall not impressed with the hotel service. Would not stay here again!

Hotel was pretty good, room basic, reasonably comfortable except for window drapes which were a disaster, didn't close properly and one side falling down letting allot of light in which prevented sleep after daybreak.
Breakfast was pretty good and all staff polite and helpful.

Great hotel, staff happy to help you book excursion, bed very comfy, bathroom clean, mini bar and safe in the room. Close to local restaurants and 5-8 min walk to main square! Will definitely return to this hotel

Nice hotel good location to see more then just the old town. The room was smaller than expected, just about acceptable while friends were give larger rooms. Attached restaurant is good value for dinner.

lovely hotel close to main market square

Great hotel for the price. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful with great English. The bar and restaurant is great value for some really, really nice dishes. After a long day of touring it is nice to not have to travel far for a decent meal. One slight niggle I had (which really isn't a big problem) was that the double room consists of two single beds pushed together, which would often be pushed apart, but I believe this is common enough in some European hotels.

Perfect Kracow location.

Great hotel and perfect location.One suggestion is that hotel cleaning staff are far too noisy around 8am.They need to be aware of people sleeping and try not to make such a racket.This is my only criticism, otherwise fab.

Super little hotel.

Fantastic. Clean and very comfortable. Loads of hot water. Staff were so friendly and arranged everything for us including taxi to and from airport. Just remember to allow ample time as airport is extremely busy.

It was an OK hotel, but nowhere on the site did it state there was no elevator. That made it difficult to carry a large suitcase up three flights of stairs.

Practically perfect

Extremely well situated. Lots of places to eat in the vicinity. An easy 10 minute walk to the Old Town. Excellent staff, always helpful. The only complaint would be that there is no air - conditioning in the bedrooms.

Holiday in Krakow

We stayed 6 nights. Everything was fine. Everyone was kind- at the reception and in the breakfast room too. We were in the attic with 72.steps. A lot after a long day of excursions and a heartful meal.Clean bathroom and clean towels every day. Thank you.

Ideal for sight seeing

The hotel is ideally placed to visit the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter. The staff are wonderful an very helpful and the breakfast is lovely. The only negative point would be the lack of a elevator, especially if you are on the third floor, as we were. Other than that I would recommend the hotel without hesitation.

Aparthotel Spatz

The Hotel is in a great location, close to bars and the Jewish restaurant area, the main square is a short walk away, the staff are very friendly and helpful, there is a good restaurant and bar, all in all very good value. The airport pickups arranged by the hotel were prompt. Krakow was a great place to visit for a few days and very good value.
