This hotel is fabulous and set in a nice square with lots of other bars and restaurants. The breakfasts are amazing and apart from the continental buffet, you can order eggs (scrambled, fried or boiled) and sausages. If you want omelettes or pancakes, there is a small additional charge.
The roof top bar is super and we spent a nice evening there relaxing after our trip to Auschwitz. The hotel will make you a packed lunch for 50PLN which we ordered when we went to Auschwitz. It was really good, loads to eat. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and a real asset to the hotel.
We had a lovely room on the top floor with very comfortable beds. You may need extra pillows as they are too soft and thin.
All in all, this is a wonderful hotel and we wouldn't hesitate about staying here again.

Just returned from a 3 day stay at Hotel Rubinstein and what can I say… fantastic hotel and staff, location is great, right in the heart of the Jewish Quarter for local treats, minutes away from the river and walkable distance into the Old Town. Cannot fault this location and hotel, we will be staying again and highly recommend it to all. Thanks once again, especially Eliza, she loved every minute.

Fun in Krakow

The hotel is in a great location. Lots of restaurants and music. We stayed in a suite with a bedroom living room and 2 bathrooms. It was very spacious. People at the reception desk were friendly and helpful. If you like to use washcloths, bring them!

The coffee caddie had a drip reservoir which has not been cleaned. I left the component open so attendant could see the problem. I'm confident that this is only a matter of training and understanding the device, all else being so very perfect.

Exerllent location for us as we like walking and exploring and didn’t want to spend most of our time in the main square like most people.exerllent Staff all very hard working , polite and fully aware of the currant Covid situation. I totally recommend this lovely small , clean and friendly hotel to every one visiting krakow looking a great place to stay . I stayed 4 nights and really enjoyed the experience of Kraków and this hotel .

Excellent hotel at the heart of the Jewish Quarter. It’s 4* and costs a little more than other hotels in the area but we appreciated the decor and breakfast and the ease of the location. Easy to fine and very near a tram stop to take you into the centre and the airport etc. Some really lovely bars and restaurants in the area which are much cheaper than in the old town and are much more quirky and atmospheric.

The hotel staff were very warm and welcoming, and the room was spotlessly clean. The mini-bar and bottled water were of a good selection. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room, which was inconvenient.

A nice long week-end in Krakow

The City of Krakow and especially the Jewis area where we stayed are nice. Our hotel was located in the main square of it. Restaurants were everywhere and it was difficult to choose where to have your lunch and breakfast. The weather was terrible, non-stop rain but we managed to visit some of the most wellknown places in the city. In Krakow the price level in restaurants was very acceptable, quality of food and service very good, portions sometimes huge! We travelled by our car and there were no problems to find parking around our hotel.

Excellent location, shame about the staff

Very mixed feelings about this hotel which claims to be 4 star. It isn't. Good things include it's wonderful location in the centre of the Jewish Quarter, and some charm in the rooms. Our room was cleaned beautifully and we tipped accordingly.

As a 4 star it is let down by, no explanation of hotel facilities (very few) and no offer of help with luggage on check in. No tea and coffee in the rooms. A lack of adequate quality toiletries (combined, shower gel/shampoo AND conditioner, just topped up daily ....really? Poor TV viewing (certainly for English speakers), and paltry breakfasts, which are the same each day. But the worst thing is the staff, unfriendly and in certain cases unhelpful.

How people can knowingly put you in a room where the kitchen fans beneath sound like a Chinook in your room and you can hear he chef's conversation, is beyond me. However our second room on the 3rd floor was fine, but we only got allocated it, after getting difficult with reception.

Very sad, this could be a wonderful boutique retreat, it has much going for it, but for the time being I would not return again to The Rubinstein.

Ready to give advice, he'll organizing tours. Close to many eateries and walking distance to many must see landmarks. Christmas market visit.

Found the hotel on the Internet and wasn't disappointed one bit. The hotel was in a very convenient position in the heart of the Old Jewish Quater and just ten minutes from walk from the main square. Very comfortable hotel with large and spacious rooms which were attractively decorated. The hotel staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you. The package included a continental breakfast which was excellent - particularly for those of us with a good appetite.
As an added bonus there are some excellent restaurants very close in the square.

The Kazimierz section is a great place to stay in Krakow. It's charming and convenient to everything. The Rubinstein Hotel is part of that charm. It's small, cozy, beautiful and comfortable. Great free breakfast to start the day. The wifi extends to retaurants down the block.

This should have been a lovely stay but the poor service ruined it. I was booked for a suite but they put me in a basic room. As I tried to get it resolved, I was only able to speak to the people on reception (they had great difficulty with English), there was no manager made available over the 4 days I was there. The room I ended up in had a broken key card holder (needed for electric), and a poorly fitted shower which leaked. The amenities provided only included the all in one soap/shampoo attached to the wall. As I checked out I asked for something in writing to show the difference on the room I had prepaid for and the room I was provided - they did not give me anything. I had to sort refund through hotels.com and the Rubinstein was less than generous on the difference. For a 4star hotel, the service was unacceptable.

Excellent hotel - good value for money, great loca

Situated in the Jewish Quarter of Krakow, this very clean hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town, the Main Square & many bars & restaurants. There is also much going on locally with lots of warm, quaint, endearing bars.
The hotel itself did a great buffet breakfast, the staff were very friendly & helpful at all times. They looked after our bags all day after we checked out for the last bit of sightseeing.
The cost of the hotel was very reasonable - especially for the quality of the large room. I would very much recommend Krakow as a place to visit & the Hotel Rubinstein as a place to stay.

This is a lovely hotel, a great mix of traditional and modern. The rooms are excellent value, the staff are helpful and you are right in the heart of things. The Kazimierz itself is full of interesting bars and restaurants, with incredible history and atmosphere. It's a fun, cool neighbourhood, around a pleasant ten minute walk to the castle, fifteen to the Old Town.

FROM THE MOMENT WE ARRIVED THE FEMALE STAFF(MALE STAFF DID NOT SMILE A LOT OR MAKE EYE CONTACT) COULD NOT DO ENOUGH FOR US BOOKED IN AND TRIPS ORGANISED WITHIN 30 MINUTES WHICH IS EXCELLENT.THE ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND VERY CLEAN AND EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NEXT TO THE LIFT IT WAS SO QUIET.THE BEDS WERE REALLY COMFY AND SUPER CLEAN.THE BUFFET BREAKFAST WAS VERY GOOD WITH PLENTY OF CHOICE.WE HAD DINNER TWICE IN THE HOTEL WHICH WAS ALSO VERY GOOD.NO PROBLEM BOOKING OUR TRANSPORT TO THE AIRPORT OR OUR EARLY MORNING CALL AND EVEN SUPPLIED US WITH A SUPERB LUNCH BAG.WOULD CERTAINLY RECCOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

Lovely quiet hotel in Kazimeirz district.

Thoroughly enjoyed our four day break at the Rubinstein Hotel in Kazimeirz district of Kraków. Only 20 minutes walk from the hotel to Schindler Factory, Wawel Castle or Kraków Old Town. The staff were very friendly, knowledgable and helpful and the room was spotlessly clean and well maintained with beautiful beamed ceilings and period design. The food was delicious Polish Fare and always well presented. we were able to arrange pick up from the hotel for our tours to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines with no problems. I will definitely return to this hotel.

Very, very polite people. Excellent location if you want to stay in the Jewish Ghetto. I felt very very safe. Not the run of the mill tourists, which I appreciated so much. The morning breakfast is fabulous. Meats, cheeses, brie, different juices, muffins, cheesecake, variety of fruits, assorted cereals, and most of all espresso coffee not the American coffee. Beautifully served..........elegant. I also had dinner was 5 star rating.

Great for families looking to explore Kazimierz

We picked this hotel for its proximity to the Jewish district - with it's bohemian bars, restaurants and shops (as well as tragic history). It's actually in the more touristic of the 2 squares (vs. Nowy Platz) which was perfect for staying with the in-laws - it has great but safe food, street performers playing excellent classical music each night, and a very hospitable feel. I might not stay if I was going away with just my partner (would head further south where it's a bit of a younger vibe) but it does the job. The hotel itself was very good - an excellent restaurant and roof top bar, attentive staff and spacious rooms with good decor. A very minor issue was that the curtains were a little tricky to close without pulling them off (!) but that's really nit picking.

Lovely hotel in a great area. Great choice of cafes and restaurants in area and safe to wander around. The hotel is lovely and in immaculate condition. Heavy tapestry type curtains and bedcover are not really my taste but that is a very individual preference. (I prefer much paler décor.) However if I return to Krakow I would definitely consider staying there. Buffet breakfast was excellent with lots of choice and good coffee. The meal I had in the restaurant one evening was also excellent and portions were the largest I had in Krakow. The presentation of the food was also very good. It was a little more expensive than other places I ate at but not excessively so. I also had a very good lunch the day I arrived.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the breakfast is brilliant. It just can't be faulted in our opinion. If we return to Krakow again, it will be the Rubenstein we that stay at.

We had a good stay and were well looked after at the hotel but we only tried to have one meal in the restaurant, which was unfortunately not satisfactory and we finally sent the food back cold and untouched, the waiter was unhelpful. Many Restaurant right outside the door of the hotel. Public transportation readily available. Walking distance to main tourist area. Hotel in Jewish quarter tourist area.
Bathroom modern, newly appointed. Bedroom area freshly painted, traditionally furnished.
Staff pleasant, friendly and very helpful.
Lighting in hallway to rooms minimal but that did not stop one from getting to ones room.
Breakfast was delicious and workers attentive.
I became ill during my stay and staff was attentive to my needs.
Arrangements were made to have a cab to drive me to the airport at 4:30 AM.

A gem of a hotel in Krakow

We stayed at the Rubinstein at the end of October 2014 and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Set in the middle of the city's Jewish quarter, the hotel is modern, comfortable with friendly attentive staff. The meal I had in the restaurant was delicious, as was the food at breakfast. The only negative was the sound of the trams outside rattling along at 6am but everything else about the place more than made up for that and it doesn't affect every room. It also ensured we were awake early to explore what is a beautiful city. The Hotel's surroundings give off a very Bohemian feel with a number of unique shops and superb restaurants. We WILL be going back and wouldn't hesitate to stay again at The Rubinstein.

We had stayed in Krakow last October in a different hotel, just around the corner. We found the Rubinstein exceptional, we stayed for 4 nights and ate in the rester aunt twice, food, staff, room, friendliness of staff was amazing will recommend the hotel to everyone, best hotel we have ever stayed in, will certainly return!

Great location , and large rooms.

Stayed here in April 2014 , located in the small square in the Jewish quarter. Numerous cafe's , bars and resturants close by , and a 15 min walk to the main square in Krackow. Busy area , lots of tours passing through , and always a few tour carts hanging around. Great to be able to connect to the internet for free in the room , used for Facebook , and Radio London. Breakfast was good, lots of fruit , local cold meats , and cake/croissants.

Disappointing lack of communication

As seasoned Krakow visitors, we were looking to stay in Kazimierz and explore a bit more of the restaurants, bars and cafés down this end of the city. We were booked in to the Rubinstein for a 5 night stay and arrived on a Friday lunchtime to be told we had been booked into another hotel (hotel Pod Roza). No apology, no explanation and no room for us! Ok, so they paid for the taxi to the other hotel, and there was no extra cost to stay at Pod Roza (which incidentally is a very pleasant experience) but meant we were in the top of the old town, rather than in Kazimierz which was kind of the point of our visit.

Quite disappointing to only find out that there was no room for us at the Rubinstein Residence on arrival (presumably this wasn't something that just happened on the day? Although the lack of explanation meant we would never know). However they had made an attempt to find alternative decent lodgings, which saves them from a terrible rating.

Lovely stay far exceeded our expectations

My partner and I have just returned from Hotel Rubinstein Residence.What a lovely place.We stayed in the superior room and it was really comfortable and clean.The hotel is in the jewish quarter and ideally situated for all attractions,bars and restaurants.Staff were friendly and polite and there were plenty of taxis outside the hotel during the day in the square.Its slightly cheaper to book for Autschwitz with the hotel than privately with the taxis outside.Breakfast was lovely,plenty of choice and really fresh. I would definitely use this hotel again and recommend it to people who like a bit of luxury and comfort.

Krakow Hotel stay

Centrally located within 20mins walk of Market Square within the Jewish quarter. Quietly located boutique hotel undergoing some refurbishment. Lovely buffet breakfast. Close to some excellent restaurants. Recommended.

'Kept in the Dark'

Having visited this establishment on two occasions we knew what to expect, or at least we thought we did. Firstly, taking our swimming attire and gym kits was a waste of time because the sauna, Jacuzzi and gym were closed to residents due to refurbishment. Secondly, being presented with a pre-prepared plate of cold meats was not our idea of a ‘buffet’ breakfast, something which the Rubinstein is famous for; this was due to reconstruction work being carried out. Thirdly, the restaurant was closed, so no evening meals available, due to the latter. Which brings me to the question, why had we not been informed of the lack of facilities by either Expedia or the hotel themselves. This had ruined our short break to Poland. I look forward to a reply from Expedia

fantastic break

hotel is undergoing a refurbishment of restaurant & rooftop gym & terrace ( all closed ) no advanced notice. room was ok some of the lights did not work but it was clean & comfortable, reception staff were pleasant & helpful & breakfast was good. its a good location & we loved our time in Krakow. would I stay here again yes I would its good value, just a shame it was not all open.

Great location not as touristy as old town

Lovely hotel, great location would go back next time we are in krakow. Loads bar's etc beside hotel.
