We landed in Miami at 7pm after a long travel day, and needing to get up early for an international flight. There was a message from Sonesta, and when I spoke to hotel manager Luis he said 'unfortunately we are unable to honor your reservation.. So it was canceled, and being high season in Miami, plus war breaking out causing travel chaos, there were very few rooms available near MIA. When I booked the room I called first to make sure there was an airport shuttle and was assured there was. When we landed I called the hotel and ‘Louis’ told me the last shuttle already returned. He was hateful and not helpful at all. I asked to speak to someone else and he said he was the only staff working. The staff at the airport told us the hotel shuttle was still there but by the time we figured out where to go to catch it, it was pulling away.
When we arrived to the hotel the same guy (voice) who said his name was ‘Alex’ was again rude and acted like he was inconvenienced by our arrival. We asked about somewhere to get food after our late flight and he said ‘we could google it’.
Thankfully the hotel room was fine and we just needed a place to sleep.

The room was clean, front desk staff was friendly. However, the airport portion of the title was deceiving. The shuttle does not run early enough to take you for an early flight, which is the only reason we had the hotel. And it was about 20 minutes to get there.

We have been travelling to Miami and looked for a highly rated place at the airport. Unfortunately Sonesta won't fit the bill in the future.Room was clean,bed was good but 5 negatives. 1)Got there at maybe 1pm no early arrivals and not even a sofa or table anywhere to sit at.Had to leave and come back. 2) Shuttle to the airport was at 6am just doesn't work in Miami.3) Quite noisy. Because the door in #332 doesn't set in the frame properly you can see light around it which also means sound from the hall of a guy making a phonecall for an hour.4) Very basic construction materials means poor insulation to the airport sound of planes and 5) the vinyl windows to the parking lot doesn't stop the music from car systems at night . Really did not sleep maybe 2-3 hours total.

I would not recommend this hotel. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, with visible mold and an overall lack of cleanliness. The bed linens and bathroom were not clean, which made the stay extremely uncomfortable.
On top of that, the hotel advertises breakfast on their website, but once you arrive, you’re told there is no breakfast at all. This feels misleading and dishonest.

Room is big and well appointed. The kitchen has all the utensils and it is very big. Mattress and pillows are also good. Everything is new so its really nice. The gym has dumbells up to 50 pounds and some cardio machines. With the addition of a pulley this gym and this hotel will be great. There is space there at the gym to fit the pulley next to the bike.
Its priced well and has a shuttle service from and to the airport. The drivers of the shuttle are great, very helpful and nice. Staff at the reception desk is also very kind. Will be back.

My stay was mixed. I’ll start with the positives:
•The room cleaners were excellent.
•The daytime security guard at the gate was professional and welcoming.
•The lady at the breakfast area was very kind and attentive.
Areas for improvement:
•For a city hosting AFCON (which was the purpose of my visit), I expected to see some level of event awareness—such as banners or decorations in the lobby—but there were none.
•As a hotel welcoming international guests, I expected more variety in food options. Unfortunately, several options were unavailable or closed.
•I experienced unprofessional behavior from front desk staff on two separate occasions, which made the interactions uncomfortable.
•During dinner, I requested food and a glass of water, but a bottle of water was brought instead. When I asked for it to be returned—since I already had bottled water in my room—I was told it could not be reversed because it had already been billed.
Recommendation:
With Morocco set to host the 2030 World Cup, it would be beneficial for hotels to be more open, guest-focused, and internationally minded. Staff training in professionalism and customer service would greatly improve the guest experience.
P.S. The Front Desk Manager was very pleasant. However, guests should not be pressured to leave reviews before their stay is complete 😊

My family and I travel a lot, and this was hands down the best place we've ever stayed. My kids loved the pool, the huge park next door, and the rooms were so spacious and comfy. Free laundry was a lifesaver with two little ones who love the pool and park all day. Plus, free breakfast saved us some cash.

Alex the airport shuttle bus driver was very kind and helpful. Was VERY disappointed when we checked in and although they acted like the two rooms were had made reservations for months ago were close they were at opposite ends of the second floor. I called the front desk and said did they realize how far apart they put us, and he said that it was first come first served, but I made the reservations months ago, and we arrived before 5 pm. Our rooms should have been closer together. Very disappointed.

Rooms are serviced by housekeeping once every seven days, for which regular hotel guests are not informed. This means you have to ask for fresh towels, coffee for the room, etc. Studio suite needs at least one more chair for sitting. Shower has good pressure. Snacks and beverages offered for sale consists of sugary, salty and unhealthy items.

We were disappointed with our stay, not because the airport shuttle was unavailable, but because we were misinformed about it. Prior to booking, I specifically called to ask whether the shuttle would be operating on Christmas Day and was told it runs six days a week, only not on Sundays. Based on that information, we chose to book with Sonesta.
When we arrived in Miami on Christmas evening and called for pickup, we were then told the shuttle was not running due to the holiday. We had to take a taxi to the hotel. While we were able to use the shuttle the following morning to return to the airport, we would not have booked this hotel had we been told in advance that the shuttle would not operate on Christmas.
The hotel itself was clean and met basic expectations. However, considering the price, location, lack of breakfast, and the additional $55 we paid for transportation, the stay did not feel like a good value. There are closer and more amenity-rich options available in the area.
