Parking was tough but possible. Area around had good places to eat. Hotels elevator was broken and didn’t have a bell hop or a cart to use to bring one bags all the way up to the 4th floor. My husband and I had to bring them one by one from the lobby to our building and then lift them to the 4th floor. Pricing was a bit high, more like a large hotel price, but you weren’t getting the large hotel amenities. Pool was nice so was beach access

This hotel is great for families. It gives you a resort style of place without any of the resort amenities. Has 2 big pools (although you have to wake up super early to get chairs and an umbrella). Has a cala which is so convenient. It's about an 18 minute walk to the town centre. Has restaurant options about 100 metres away. My issues with this hotel is the rooms need upgrades (at least the building we stayed on). We had to carry all our luggages to the 3rd floor since there were no elevators on our building. We were a family of four with a toddler. They have no one that offers to help. Plus parking can be a pain, depending on the hour you came back to the hotel. One of the nights, we had to park 5 blocks away because there was no parking on the premisses or near the hotel. If non of this bothers, location is great but don't expect luxury. It wasn't cheap either

The only saving grace about this hotel is the location, near the beach and town. The service was horrendous. The hotel was so jam packed we couldn’t even get a spot on a beach/pool chair the entire time we were visiting, what a waste considering we paid for this location to use those facilities. Upon check in, they let us know that if items are left unattended on chairs for 20+ minutes, the pool guard will remove them so others can sit. Obviously that wasn’t mandated. The hotel is so cheap, not even shampoo and conditioner was included? Towels cost extra, etc. Our room wasn’t even cleaned when we were there. The maid did attempt to clean our room on the morning that we were checking out, and let herself in at 9am WITHOUT KNOCKING while we were still sleeping!!! Simply ridiculous, don’t expect anything to be included - may as well have stayed at an airbnb. Don’t expect any peace and quiet if you are staying here, the hotel is packed like sardines. People
screaming all night long and you can hear everything from your room. Rooms are large but outdated and the beds aren’t comfortable. Food was okay but nothing special.

This place was incredible. Not sure why some people comment negatively about it. Pools are lovely, the rooms were cleaned every day except Thursdays and Sundays which was never an issue. Yes, the rooms are not as fancy as the sister hotel, but that hotel just had a renovations. We will come back again to the same property . The location is the best. Seriously cannot fault anything.

On arrival the staff seemed friendly but when I queried if we could have a room that didn’t look out on to the room the lady rolled her eyes at me. Another lady came over who was more pleasant but wanted to charge more for a room just a bit further down. Even after spending a lot of money for 7 days plus in Esmeralda Park. Nowhere on my booking did it say we would be facing the road. Rooms are covered in black mould in the bathrooms and there are dead bugs splattered all over the walls. Children sleeping on grubby sofas is not acceptable and it should be pull out beds. The pool was vile, so dirty and the sun beds and parasols seem to be about 30 years old. That was when you could actually get one which we couldn’t until the lifeguard moved someone’s stuff which then made them shoot at us. The reception staff talk about customers rudely after they have checked in. I genuinely have never in all my years travelling had reception staff like them. The breakfast staff were lovely though as were the lifeguards. Pool bar staff were quite blunt. Never ever again will I stay at an Inturotel in my life time. Even more so after seeing the structure collapse on top of people at Esmeralda Park. Shoddy cheap work putting profit before people’s safety.

There were a few things that Expedia said that was not available to us. First, there was no elevator and we had to walk 3 flights of stairs with our luggage. Then, we were told because we booked through Expedia we get no room changes, no soap, no hair shampoo/conditioner, no dishwasher detergent, nothing. We were told to go through Expedia and the hotel did nothing. The check in lady was not helpful. After contacting Expedia, they were also not helpful and did nothing. So, pretty much everyone was useless and I had to buy my own soaps!
The only thing nice about the hotel was our partial view of the beautiful water.

Did not have air conditioning in my room the whole time and i was told by the front desk attendant that because i was not superior. It was very noisy in the mornings with housekeeping cleaning the rooms and had not realized it was a family oriented resort... so children all over the place.
Otherwise, the place was beautiful. The island was just breathtaking.

Fabulous hotel! Right on a beautiful beach, with a lovely pool, the hotel is great for family’s! Other beaches were a quick 5/10 minute walk and center 15 minute walk max! Bus services are easy to navigate and stop right outside the hotel, but mostly everything is within walking distance! The staff were also great! Sonia who checked us in was informative, warm and very friendly! Would definitely recommend this hotel!

Overall love this property. It is clean, it is in the town so you can walk to the nearby restaurants. The property itself is diverse and offers multiple pools along with other activities such as ping pong, etc. The one (and very large) downside is the parking situation which is why I could not give a 5 star rating. The property is on a dead end road, with parking all along it, however the spots were completely filled for the duration of our stay. The front desk notified us of a parking lot, which was blocks away from the hotel, and was very small and also filled. Although I loved this hotel, I would not be returning because I had to wait over an hour each time I left the hotel with my car for a spot to open up, and then had to drag the luggage blocks to my hotel room. The property itself is so large, they should have dedicated some of it to a parking garage of some sort to make it more manageable for guests.

Our second trip to Cala d'Or and we loved it. The hotel is perfectly located by the sea and the beach, in a really beautiful cove. The hotel and surroundings are maintained to a very high standard. The staff are very helpful and there are shops and restaurants on the doorstep. We were self catering but we did use the snack bar by the pool and it was very good. We will be going back!

Had a lovely stay at the resort. We requested a sea view and got a self catering room looking directly onto the sea which was stunning.
Staff were polite and helpful, pool cafe was enjoyable.
We hired a car and were able to park outside easily.
We swam in the sea - choice of steps into the sea from the apartments or a 2 minute walk across the road to the beach so perfect.
We didn't choose to use the pool regularly as it was very busy and noisy.
Should also be noted that the inside pool is closed during summer months - we may have overlooked this in the small print.
Short walk to the shop each morning for fresh coissants.

Great stay at Cala Azul, would def go back!

Brilliant holiday in Cala Azul Park!!!!
We were 2 adults & 1 child so there was room in the bedroom to move one of the sofas in so we all slept in the same room & still had a living area separate.
Everything was within easy reach of the complex, lots of bars, restaurants, beaches, etc.
Public transport was easily available & cheap (1.80 euro into the marina, roughly 10 minute journey) or taxis are there too (6euro to marina).
You are able to use all the facilities of the other hotels in the complex, all the pools have the same layout though, just in different areas.
Beach is accessible from the complex down a set of well spaced out steps.
We stayed b&b at cala Azul and it was amazing, it changed everyday which was great and so much choice, I'd definitely recommend it as the local restaurants were a bit expensive for breakfast.
I'd definitely stay here again and would consider going all inclusive as the variety of restaurants/ snack bars in the complex was good & they catered well for allergies (egg allergy in our group). As well as the fact that it was about 50euro average for dinner out for 3 of us each night, I think AI would have been a cheaper option.

Beautiful location go self catering in block F

Just returned from 10 days at Azul Park. The location is fabulous near the shops, restaurants and two fabulous beaches on the doorstep and a bus stop out front with a regular service.
Pool is fab although it can be hard to get sunbed at times. You also have use of all facilities at Esmeralda park across the road which is basically the same but right on the beach, the entertainment is also held here which is great.
This is a 3 star hotel and no more, although you pay the price of a 4 star hotel.
The cleaners/maintenance staff work hard to keep grounds clean and tidy and do a good job of the room although under the sofa was dirty when we arrived.
There is a problem with ants in the room but it did not bother us too much in the end.
We were in block c, rooms are very tired and dated. It is very noisy you can hear the furniture being moved around and general noise, I did tell reception and they offered to move us to top floor but next to a stairwell so we stayed where we were.The food , low grade just shoved on your plate, I would not go half board it is like a school canteen and depressing, it is not a happy place, more harassing. The beach cafe which you pay for however is wonderful with much better quality food service is still not great there. The restaurants in the area are plentiful and lovely with much better food and really good service. Other restaurants are managing during covid times with good service and happy staff, not sure why this hotel can’t do the same.

We were upgraded to a 2-bed apartment with access to one of the private pools which turned out to be fantastic. The boys loved playing here to the extent we only went in the main pool once. The views were also fantastic.
We were room only so cannot comment on the food but there were plenty of places within walking distance to dine at.

A few disappointments .1) The wifi is awful and cannot be relied on 2) The pool does not open until 10.00am so it is virtually impossible to get a pre-breakfast swim. 3) €3.50 A NIGHT for use of the safe installed in the room.Come on !! It is there anyway and is costing the hotel nothing.
Be aware that this is very much a family hotel and, even in school term time , there are lots of families with pre-school children and babies. Not a problem in itself , but breakfast time can be a bit frantic. The breakfast buffet however was excellent

I stayed for a week with my daughter, the location is excellent, right on the beach and an easy walk to the town center. We self catered so I cannot comment on the food.
The rocks are great for kids (and adults) to jump into the sea!
All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful.
My only feedback would be the need for more sun beds , the space is available but there was a lack of beds at peak times, otherwise a very pleasant stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and although our accommodation was a little dated, it was kept immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful, our accommodation had a stunning sea view, with beautiful sandy beaches nearby with lots of ladder access points directly into the sea. 5 day stay Cala D'Or in July 2018

Lovely view from balcony of the sea a nd the food at breakfast was very good. We had hired a car and used the hotel as a base to explore the area. Cala D'Or is a nice clean resort. Great restaurant area and local beaches are wonderful, although we had to be careful as there were a lot of jellyfish which caused a painful sting to me and my son; neither of us were harmed though.

Having said that, our room smelled musty and the decor was tired. There was some mould inthe grouting in the bathroom. The place felt damp. We had asked for a sea view and that trumped asking for a different room, but it was not what we expected.

We were surprised that the safe in the room was not treated as a part of out welfare and security; the hotel choosing to charge 3 euros a day to rent the key to operate the safe.

The hotel pools were overcrowded and sunbeds were 'reserved' from a very early hour. I think they made an effort to remove towels to free up beds where people were not returning but I was glad we were able to get away from the masses.

During the stay, my wife had a Kipling beach bag stolen from our balcony where left to dry. I mentioned it to reception and they said the manager would be in touch as I felt I knew who had probably taken it. No one made contact so I was further concerned as to their attitude to security. I made these points to Inturotel in their own survey and received an email back to say someone would be in touch but again, it appears they are disinterested.

Fantastic location in Cala D'or.

All the hotel staff were very pleasant helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Room was a good size and close to reception, the pools and the beach bar. Breakfast was amazing with so much choice even on our last day we had smoked salmon and champagne. Asked to keep room after normal checkout time as got a late flight home our prayers were answered which was a God send!!. All areas of the hotel were immaculate and would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Large, busy complex, good but not great!

We had an apartment on he 3rd floor, so had to lug cases up the stairs as there isn’t a lift!
Ate in the restaurant once, just about ok, quantity not quality! Pool area busy as was small beach area, ok apart from jellyfish, but I guess they can’t control that! Apartment ok with large balcony, although a little tired.
Local area very busy & a bit tacky, but plenty of bars etc. Cala D’Or has some nice little bays & a lovely harbour with good restaurants, so go there instead!

Accommodation was basic but clean. The reception staff were friendly but often didn't have information necessary and didn't go out of their way to help. We had an ant infestation and I had to identify the source of it (a nest) and suggest how to deal with it - all they kept doing up until then was send cleaners round with a spray which hardly helped. The communal areas and swimming pool areas are amazing - clear, comfortable, well-staffed, lovely pools.

Really peaceful hotel right next to the beautiful Cala Esmerelda. Swimming in the sea or at the pools is fantastic. Rooms are clean and functional, some have amazing views. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. The facilities are shared with the sister hotel so everyone benefits in terms of choice of activities or restaurants.

We stayed in a one bedded apartment. It was well furnished and had almost everything. Just missing a chopping board and larger wine glasses. We did have a few ants in the bedroom and the staff did have these killed unfortunately whoever killed them didn't get them cleaned up. The pool beach bar also closes very early at 6pm maybe this starts in September I'm not sure. But we enjoyed our stay

Superb hotel and unbelievably clean!

I travelled recently with my wife and two young children. The Hotel was comfortable, superbly equipped and very clean. Lots of things in and around the hotel to do, boat excursions, bike hire, quiet (if a little small) beach, good pool and fun entertainment for the children. The food had a huge variety to it, each day, and although a little bland, was more than suitable. We were very pleased with the hotel, on the whole and wouldn't hesitate to visit again.

As much as we wanted to take advantage of the amenities and enjoy the area, Inturotel Cala Azul Park and it's adjacent facilities and beaches are simply too overrun with families to accommodate a couple taking things in their stride- even in October.
You can't relax anywhere (even their small gym that says \"no under 16s\") without the influx of noise from kids (parents seem to enjoy giving very young kids tours of the gym like some sort of play area. There are PLENTY of play areas for kids around, use them!
It is basically a Butlins/Center Parks by the sea.
We were tempted by the adults only hotel but resent paying a premium for the same room and a much smaller pool.

Visiting end of season meant our experience was dependent on the mood of the staff members and how much they needed a holiday; reception were generally poker faced, while the Pizzeria staff were very enthusiastic (and the food good too).

The rooms are in need of an update. Our bathroom had stains on the tiles and grouting, cracked tiles, a green shower fitting and a rusty bath, while in the bedroom beds were lumpy, and there was hair on the floor.

We had a few issues with cleanliness overall- dirty glasses and towels in the bathroom but these were replaced. We also felt that providing a kitchenette should mean a little dish washing liquid (so WE can clean), but on asking for this (even if at an extra charge) we were told \"This is a 3 star hotel\".
And we are sure it intends to stay that way.

a bit tired, but pleasant. Good price.

A very good spot for families with young children. Not the best for couples. Found it strange that a housekeeper entered the room without knocking first.

The facilities were good but a bit worn. Location is fantastic.

Relaxing short break

Relaxing short break in October. Resort was busier than I was expecting but not too busy. Still plenty of sunbeds at 10am. 'Bar' food was very good. We liked that we could visit the other pools that were part of the Inturotel Group. Everything we needed was close by - supermarket, bars, restaurants, souvenir shops. Would come again.

Decent but could be better

Hotel has a great location right on a lovely cove but felt it could do a bit more with it . The snack bar is good but it could be a great early evening bar and restaurant at sunset . Staff were all pretty good and entertainment team worked really hard , Great cleaners and no complaints on that side . Rooms are a wee bit dated ( which is fine ) but the beds are not the most comfortable . You also have to pay for wi fi , towels , safe and local tax on arrival so it can be over 100 euros if staying for two weeks . Also , they didn't tell me that we couldn't put more than 250 euros on our credit tab - which was a wee bit embarrassing when told at dinner that my credit was not good ( despite having placed a card with high limit at reception ) . Good for families and great location . Plenty of sunbeds but not nearly enough parasols for shelter . Food was pretty good for a buffet style and good options for sitting outside most nights . In summary - decent but could be a wee bit better

Lovely hotel bit old fashioned in the decor but clean and spacious rooms. Lovely sea views. I think charging wifi per each device per room is a bit steep though and it would be fairer to just charge a one off wifi fee per room. Also charging for the safe is a bit cheeky. Over all would stay again had a lovely time and staff helpful and friendly.

Lovely clean hotel close to beach and\nSmall resort

Peaceful stay out of season with sunshine. Car hire was cheap and easy to organise. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of choice for places to eat. We really enjoyed exploring the pretty beaches and coves. The marina is well worth a visit by foot or by the land train which is not expensive.
We came last year in April and loved it and we also enjoyed it this year.

Excellent Hotel in a Great Resort

The Cala Azul Playa is a great hotel in a brilliant location next to a lovely beach. Very clean with good self catering facilities.
This was my sixth visit to Cala D'Or. It is ideal for a family it has six beautiful safe, sandy beaches in rocky coves. (Not a place for partying though guys). Great for snorkeling.

Amazing hotel lived up to all expectations

We booked this hotel after an extensive search.
We wanted quality and were not disappointed.
The reviews on TripAdvisor are all a heat and I'd recommend this to anyone and would happily go again.
I'd emailed the hotel direct to ask for a sea view room on the ground floor as I was taking an inflatable stand up paddle board and I got a room exactly as I asked, for no extra cost so well worth the email.
The food was great and plentiful and the dining room was always clean.
We'd read reviews about people even cleaning the bins and we spotted that too.
The access to the sea was via a ladder or a short walk to the beach which was perfect.
The pools are great and clean. One was perfectly sloping so our 4 and 7 year old children had a great time.
The entertainment was as expected but great to while away the time with a beer.
There's a good little amusement park around the corner which has a massive bouncy castle for kids for €3 for unlimited time and a bar for the grown ups.
Town was a 20min walk but we only went twice as the complex was so nice.

Nice resort, right above the cove

We stayed here for 4 nights recently. We had asked for a quiet room with sea views, and we're pleased we got room 109 in Block F. We had views of the stunning blue water from our room, and spent so much time on our veranda as the view was so amazing, and the breeze was perfect, so we could leave the apartment doors open and turn the air conditioner off.

The hotel is within very easy walking distance to shops, cafes, restaurants, car hire, ATMs and beaches.

Highly recommend for a short stay where location is top priority and you don't mind the rooms being a bit tired.

Great location on the coast

The Park itself has fantastic facilities- I enjoy keeping fit on holiday (doing it in the sun MUCH more enjoyable!)- and whilst the gym was small it was adequate, and the indoor and 2 outdoor swimming pools were great - though you do have to go early or late because it fills up with families very quickly!

That said I had no issue with the families at all- we (a couple) were close enough to all the shops, bars, restaurants, local entertainment (Tom Jones impressionist when we went- actually brilliant despite beinga bit before my time!) The beaches are VERY close and the hotel even leads onto this little cove where you can jump into the blue sea from the rocks- gorgeous.

Location is superb, rooms are clean, our STUDIO appt was plentiful stocked of everything we needed to cater for ourselves- we love going to the local shopd and cookibg local food for ourselves.

Great area- bit touristy but for comfort and convenience, exactly what we wanted from this holiday- this is a fantastic little break.

Cutting corners to save money is not good value

This is a MOTEL rather than an hotel, in April no bar or restaurant or any food outlet was open on this site, you have to go to the sister hotel next door for all food and drink or self-cater. The kitchenette is ok, but would be improved if they removed the false cooker hood and put a shelf with a microwave in its place (who doesn’t use a microwave these days). Watch out for many steps as they do not highlight the edge of the steps, so it is easy to miss them and twist an ankle. Uncomfortable sofas in the lounge (but they are good as day beds), comfy beds in the bedroom (for me but too soft for my husband). Overpriced buffet ticket charged at EU19, (but advertised as less on their flyer in the room) so we avoided that, but very clean hotel everywhere with friendly staff. Lots of the hotel was not open in April, no pizzeria, no ice cream, no pool snack bar, NO BAR, no entertainment etc. Just the basic rooms and the outside COLD pool and the spa shop. All other services are at the sister hotel next door, which is quite a walk if your room is in the farthest block from reception. Penny pinching exercises include every other light in the corridors are not lit and they do not clean or service your room on two days of every week. Parking is always an issue and small cars find it easier to get a spot. Not good for a quiet holiday, the screaming toddlers and badly behaved adolescent males put pay to that. We would not go back or recommend it.

Way better than expected for the price!

Really enjoyed a lovely holiday here- super value for money and lovely with the beach and the little train to the marina. Only gripe was paying for wifi unless in the hotel lobby, but that was a minor issue
