We stayed at Cala d'Or Playa last year and booked it straight away when we got home as we had loved it so much. It did not disappoint the second time round.
The room was clean as was around the pool and bar/restaurang areas.
The staff are friendly and work very hard and my youngest loved the entertainment crew and joined many of the activities and games. The slides are great fun for the kids and the main pool layout is great for all to enjoy. People do get io early to get the sunbeds they want but we always found we could get some.
It's in a great location, just a short walk from 2 beaches and a nice stroll into Cala d'Or itself with all the bars and restaurants to choose from.
The marina is beyond the town, perhaps about 20 mins walk but well worth a visit. Reception will call a taxi for you if asked.
I would jighly recommend this hotel especially if you have children of primary school age.

A lovely hotel with clean rooms. It was in a great location for the beach and centre of town. There were a variety of food options too. The only negative encounter that we had was with an elderly waiter who was rude and pressurised us into buying drinks at the meal. His customer service skills were abrupt and he came across as being rude. However, all other staff were fantastic and the hotel itself was great. The kids Animation Team for the children was also brilliant.

The pool facilities were great for the family. The sunbeds could be tricky to get in a good position unless youre prepared to get up early but we always mamaged to get sunbeds somewhere so can't complain. Entertainment was great and staff and aevice really good too. You can walk to two beaches and the town/square but is located in a quiet area. Will look to visit again!

Only bad part about our stay was that we only stayed for one night. Really family orientated hotel with a superb kids pool and a great entertainment programme especially the animacion team run disney show in the evening. So much focus on the kids having a great time and would definitely head back.

We stayed B&B and the breakfast options were plentiful and actual pork Sausages and back bacon were a rare treat for a brit abroad!

Rooms could do with a refresh and always a pain to have two singles pushed together rather than an actual double but overall a great place to stay.

The property was well maintained. Situated in a quiet cul de sac and location near to everything. The room was clean and spacious. The facilities were good and staff helpful and friendly. Possibly could have an area with more relaxed seating in by the tv area.

Very good stay, lovely area, lots to see and do. Reception were very helpful and the apartment was spacious and very nice to stay in. As a retired couple we did find that there were a lot of young children staying at the hotel which wasn't ideal for us! It might be helpful to know that you can have pool towels (for a returnable deposit, or 2 euros if you want them changed), saves bringing them with you.

Nice apartments close to bars and restaurants

We booked a standard apartment that we found was spacious and well maintained. Unfortunately the very large balcony didn't get any sun and overlooked the car park (113). The apartment was serviced every day. Fresh towels provided on demand.

This property is very family focused, with lots for little ones to do, in and out of the pool. Not so good if you are an older couple looking for some peace and quiet around the pool.

Perfect peaceful getaway

My two friends and I had a long weekend here in September and it was perfect. Our room had recently been redecorated and was spotless. The hotel wasn’t too busy or crowded and everyone clearly wanted a peaceful family-friendly break. We didn’t have our children with us but could see it would be perfect for younger ones and we weren’t disturbed by the activities going on during the day - we even joined in one aqua fit session. It’s a short walk to the crystal clear sea (very small crowded beach though so we only popped down for dips). The pool bar serves fab cocktails and freshly prepared food which they were happy to adapt for vegans/veggies. Our three-bed apartment didn’t have a view or much sun, but on the plus side was totally secluded and quiet. We would definitely go back.

Great little place to stay

Very good location, clean throughout, friendly and helpful staff, good animation team and pool area. Situated in a quiet residential area, sandwiched 5 minutes between beautiful Cala Gran and Cala Esmeralda bays (easily accessible through public gardens turning right or left at rear of hotel), and within 10 minutes of main centre, 5 minutes of nearest shops, bars and restaurants and 20 minutes from the Marina.
Stayed self-catering so can't comment on breakfasts and meals, but prices for snacks and drinks at the poolside bar were a little high! Stayed in a comfortable Superior Apartment on top floor of block A (room 305) - good for sea view and quieter as end of block and no apartments above (sound proofing between apartments not brilliant, but too be expected in this type of complex). Apartments cleaned daily.
Pleasant pool area and not difficult in terms of accessing sunbeds when we were there (24 Aug-18 to 2 Sept-18) - as usual non-reserving of beds with towels is ignored by most guests and there is no enforcement of this rule by the hotel and pool staff.
Very family friendly complex, with day and night animation entertainment activities. Can't comment on night, but day was not too overpowering and could be fun for children, teens and adults. We stayed as a family of four, with our two teenage daughters who enjoyed their stay.
Would recommend these apartments and definitely stay there again!

Crowded - Pool too small for number of guests

Decent hotel, with good customer service but prepare to share with 500 people during high season. The one pool is not big enough for the numbers of guests the hotel can accommodate. Loungers were full by 830a, pool doesn’t open up till 1000. Had a room pool side and their entertainment show in the pool area carried on until 1030p. Requested to be moved to a quieter location and hotel accommodated us. It is about a 5 minute walk to Cala Gran (beach). However, the beach is more densely packed than the hotel pool.

One note: everyday for about an hour a smell of sewage wafted thru the complex. Not sure if this was an isolated occurrence.

Lovely holiday, couldn't fault the apartments. Location excellent, you can walk through the gardens down to Cala Esmerelda, the prettiest of the coves I think. The hotel is also a short walk from the centre & bouncy castle fun park. A big hit with our 6 yr old. Hotel pool & entertainment was spot on. If we holidayed in Cala D'or again would book these apartments again.
Loved Cala D'or beautiful beaches even though they were very busy at this time of year. Great fot snorkelling. Lots of places to eat & streets to explore. Definitely recommend a trip to the Marina. Enjoyed a lovely meal watching the yacht's go by.

Amazing place with kids. Lots of animation and water activites for the little ones. Pretty close to two gorgeous beaches. I think this is the perfect hotel if you are a family. Not so much for a romantic gateaway since there are many kids.
The evenings shows are very original and the kids LOVED it.
Everything was clean and the reception was nice.

Nice apartments, child friendly

Very close to the centre. Thanks to Expedia for ensuring that we were offered a room change as our first room overlooked a car park, was cold and dull as the sun did not reach that side of the building.
However, the rest of our stay was very comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would recommend the nearby Indian restaurant but definitely not the Chinese next door!

Het what you pay for

Dod not dtay much in the room. Mallorca is too beautiful. Noise feom drunken Brits next door. They were not aggresive, just loud. In few cases we preffered to go outside to read or chill because of them. asked reception to keep the noise down. It somehow worked at some point. Loud minidisco and entertainment as well, but it’s rather typical. Just not our type of fun. But hey, the price was good, no complaints.

Thought as it was the still remaining end of May there must be something wrong with it. Quite the opposite. Lovely quiet hotel. Clean, friendly staff and pool area lovely with daily entertainment for everyone. Only thing missing is beautiful views of the sea. Also you would need to get up very early if you want to save a sunbed under a brolly!

Hotel don't manage the problem of everyone getting up at 8am reserving sun beds despite fact there are signs up prohibiting it. If you get up late don't expect a sunbed.

Great family friendly apartments. Excellent for children - lots of activities at the pool during the day. Very close to Cala Gran beach, and to the centre of Cala D'or. Our room was basic but very clean and cleaned daily. The apartments are accessed through security gates so no chance of kids wandering off. we were b&b - great selection of breakfast available and close to supermarkets for the essentials

We have stayed in cala d'or playa 7 times now. It is an exceptional place to stay. Not one negative. The staff are so nice and helpful and the entertainment is top class but not too in your face. Will definitely be going back there.

Very clean rooms, absolutely new furniture. In the room is anything for comfort staying-microwave,glasses,plates. Very big balcony. Only was big problems with cleaning, we stay in apartments 1 week and for all week they don't clean our room ( I mean floor, change bedding, throwing out ashtray, clean table),only thing that they do- only change towels and throw out rubbish!!!!

Perfect for young families

Took our 5yr & 7yr olds away for a short half term break.
We all had a great time.
The swimming pools were fantastic but very cold but that didn't seem to bother the kids!!
Plenty of sunbeds.
We had one of the older rooms - the decor is a bit tired, but was still clean and comfortable and well equipped.

The stay here was very good - especially the staff was cooperative and helpful. The facilities were good for kids and family. However the only problem we faced was ac in the room. It wasn't working properly. When the outside temperature is 30+, and humid and the ac is poor, its unbearable. We had to leave after 2 nights and check into another hotel. The staff cooperated in getting refund etc. It was a bad luck but we still recommend this hotel for its cleanliness and good staff.

We only stayed one night before joining my family for a week in a villa in the town so we needed a place to stay that was simple, reasonable and clean. this was all of the above and it also included breakfast which was a bonus as this wasn't included in the booking confirmation :) It was fine - glad we had the week in the villa mind but this place was fine.

The hotel was fantastic. Everything you could want for families, couples or individuals. The facilities were superb and the staff couldn't do enough for you. The food was good and everything was so clean. There were activities arranged every day which you could choose to take part in if you wished, and entertainment each night for children and families. The hotel was only 4 minutes walk from two beautiful, clean beaches so you could choose to swim in the hotel pool or the Mediterranean Sea. We haven't been to Mallorca before but we would certainly go again now.

Vi hadde en nydelig høstferie på hotellet, og både barna og vi voksne var veldig fornøyde. Hotellet var rent, hyggelig personale, nydelig frokost og veldig kjekt basseng. Vannet i bassenget kunne gjerne vært litt varmere. Utrolig bra beliggenhet, nærme både strender og koselige gater med restauranter, kafeer og butikker. Ungene likte også veldig godt lekeparken som låg rett oppi gaten.

The apartment hotel is recommendable. Good apartments . Good size, good suited and clean. Huge balcony. We took half board which is really recommendable. Breakfast and dinner is very good for that price. What is really positive to tell is the animation at this hotel. The shows are super great and a big thank you to the team. Great job.

Rigtig fint ophold for vores familie med mindre børn. Alt fungerende rigtig fint. God rengøringsstandard. Overraskende meget underholdning i løbet af dagen og i sær om aftenen. Placeringen er også rigtig fin - tæt på strand og aftenens byliv. Maden i restauranten var vi ikke så begejstrede for, så vi lavede bare selv eller tog på restaurant, men det var også fint. Kunne sagtens finde på at tage tilbage!:-)

Insalubre et bruyant à ne pas retenir

Dès l’accueil, il a été difficile de se faire comprendre en français, Pour les activités impossible de savoir ce qu’il y avait.
L’appartement était envahi de fourmis que nous avons ramené dans les valises jusqu’en France !
Le personnel est bruyant ce qui nous a réveillé des 8h00 du matin !
Je ne recommanderais pas cet hôtel bruyant et insalubre.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut gelegen und die näheren Strände zu fuss zu erreichen. Nicht gefallen hat mir die Hellhörigkeit, da man is nachts um 2 von anderen Gästen wach gehalten worden ist.

Hotel bien situé , bien entretenu. L'équipe d'animation est au top ( supers spectacles) et les buffets sont de qualité.Le personnel est souriant et à l'écoute. Notre appartement, sur l'arrière de l'hôtel , a pu bénéficier des bruits des moteurs de camion et des \"bips\" de recul dès 4/5 h du matin ... emplacement à éviter !! La chambre est confortable , les canapés beaucoup moins, surtout lorsqu'ils servent de lit d'appoint. Les plages sont toute proches, agréables , bien que petites, et de nombreux magasins satisfont les accros du shopping, de petits parcs de loisirs peuvent occuper les enfants et des restaurants variés jalonnent le centre. En bref, un bon séjour, nous recommandons cet hôtel.

Me and my 24-Year old daughter stayd for 5 nights. Lovely place, clean rooms, great balcony with new furnitures. Everything seemed new in the apartement. Breakfast and dinner was great. Very nice staf. A little to hard beds. Would go here again for sure.

hele fijne vakantie gehad, super personeel, mooi groot zwembad, ruim voldoende ligbedden, goede keuken, we zijn niet zo van de buffetten, toch hebben we hier bijna elke avond gegeten, verse producten en goed gevarieerd. Leuk en niet te aanwezig entertainment overdag. S avonds het entertainment niet gezien, wel gehoord. De kamers zijn enorm gehorig, we hoorden de buren letterlijk praten. Toch zou ik hier wel nog een keer naartoe gaan, de overige zaken waren nml top.

Goed appartement. Schoon. Nette badkamer. Modern

Het appartement ziet er zo uit als op de website. Moderne vrolijke inrichting en schoon. Wij waren er met 4 personen (2 grote kinderen 2 volwassenen). Elke dag kwam de schoonmaak langs en werden de bedden opgemaakt en de badkamer schoongemaakt.
Het gehele complex ziet er netjes uit.
Wij zijn er zeer tevreden over.
Het zwembad water en zeewater was nog erg fris, maar dat is eind april dan ook wel logisch. Prima zwembad overigens.
Bij de receptie mogen ze wel iets klantgerichter zijn. Vriendelijk personeel bij de receptie, maar zegt weinig bij je aankomst.
Cala d'Or is een mooi plaatsje met wat winkels en redelijk wat restaurants. Ze praten je graag bij hun restaurant naar binnen.
Cala d'or heeft ook een paar mooie strandjes. Palma is er wel ruim 45 minuten rijden vandaan.

Bisherige Bewertungen ein Witz

Leider lassen unsere Erfahrungen vermuten, dass die bisherigen Bewertungen alt oder übertrieben positiv dargestellt waren.

Das Zimmer war nicht sauber und es war sehr laut, weil das Hotel in der Hauptsache von Partyurlaubern genutzt wird. Musik am Pool bedeutet, dass viele andere Urlauber grölend auf den Balkonen im Takt zur Musik klatschen oder trommeln. Ab 23 Uhr wurde es dann ruhiger.

Frühstück war ok bzw. angemessen für ein Baus mit drei Spanischen Sternen. Freunde von uns hatten mit dem Zimmer mehr Glück, es war nicht zur Poolseite, somit ruhig und ebenfalls war es laut ihren Aussagen sauber.

Zeer schoon hotel met prima kamer, wij hadden een opgeknapte, en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Dagelijks werden de handdoeken verschoond, het bed opgemaakt en de vloer gedaan. Strand en gezellige centrum op loopafstand.
Wij waren er eind september en nog lekker druk en alles nog open. Prima verblijf gehad en aan iedereen, met of zonder kinderen, aan te raden.

in general everything was good. the location of the hotel also ok. to the beach it would have been too far on foot. But with car - not an issue. The staff and the animation were all super friendly. We did not eat at the hotel. two / three points of criticism are there then: the water from the pool was way too cold !!!! the evening animation was much too noisy !!! Absolutely a room NOT TO THE POOLSIDE book !!

Siamo arrivati la prima settimana di maggio senza aspettarci chissà che cosa...invece siamo rimasti veramente stupefatti da.....tutto!che dire...provare x credere...se avete dei bambini... è la location perfetta... animazioni... intrattenimento e personale alla perfezione.... disponibilità al top....!! l'unico problema lo abbiamo avuto quando siamo andati via..... è già.... purtroppo dovevamo andare via....finite le ferie....!!! consiglio vivamente a tutti....
