The location near Cala Gran was the best part of this property. We paid for a Sea view room which was anything but. Room 151 is on the corner facing Cala Gran but too low to see over the tree. The AC wouldn't go below 75 deg F, and the fridge barely got drinks cool. The bed felt like I was back in college and squeaked whenever we moved on it. Breakfast was pretty good with a nice selection. There is a large pool just mask sure you get down there early to reserve some chairs it fills up quick. I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5

Avoid unless you like a bad hotel

Regrettably the only part of the stay we enjoyed was leaving the hotel !!

Booked as a last-minute trip to meet friends we searched the Internet for suitable hotels where the Tucan was recommended, the dates worked and price was very competitive although at the time of booking it was not made clear the price was based on several caveats one being the role of ‘ car park monitors ‘ ....
it’s important to note if you book one of the special price deals you get the upgrade of hearing the rubbish men come and go at 2am plus a second visit later in the day , not only are you treated to the noise of clunking bins and machines but at 6am you get to see and hear the delivery vans bringing in your breakfast ,, but don’t worry if by chance you miss the excitement the cleaners will be sure to wake you up with the shouting outside to one and other with the possibility of some slamming of doors .

Working on the theory you got so drunk the previous night and slept through then try not to miss the breakfast , it’s a themed breakfast based on the 1980 tv series Hi-de-hi :-)

The food is fully catered for people with allergies , that in the fact of fresh food allergies so provided you like your food cooked the previous night it really will be a joy , we also recommend trying one of the 1 bean water coffee’s from the vending machines , if you don’t like your coffee strong or even to taste like coffee then you will really enjoy.

Only here for 2 nights but enjoyed my stay. The staff are lovely and friendly and everything is very clean.
My only complaint is that my bed springs were squeaky- so much so they would wake me up in the night- but overall still an excellent stay.

The hotel is in a fabulous location as it’s si close to the town and beaches. The hotel was clean and had great air con.
Breakfast buffet was delicious!
The only bad point was the booking system of sun loungers. It just seems like a money making system. When we got down to the pool after breakfast all of the loungers had either tags on them or had towels. And most of these were unoccupied!!

Great stay at this hotel, room was clean, tidy and really comfortable. Room had air con, fridge, safe, tea/coffee, shower gel/soap. Towels changed daily and you also get pool towels to use that can be changed at reception. Breakfast and dinner we're both lovely with lots of choice. We always got a sunlounger around the pool and we went down around 10.30ish. you can pay extra €24 to keep a sunlounger for the week as they hold some back for this bit we didn't need to do this and our stay was the end of July. Beach is near but packed as they are coves rather than a long stretch of sand, too many people but a beautiful beach. Shops, restaurants are all just outside the hotel, it's situated perfectly to leave the pool and go have a little walk or a coffee somewhere. Hotel entertainment throughout the day and eve was good and not in your face. All in all a great stay, would recommend the hotel but wouldn't go back to cala d'Or in peak season because we like to go to the beach.

Lovely hotel fantastic location. Staff great. Entertainment team lovely and not pushy- aqua aerobics every day at 3 - great fun . Food ok and plentiful. Would have liked half board plus so some drinks with meals. We paid a lot of money for half board and were not allowed water with our dinner unless we paid.

Was a good holiday stating here overall but would struggle to say this was a 4 star property. Food was good can only comment in breakfast but the hotel could do with a refurbishment. Change the room doors and carpets down to the buffet room along with the chairs and sun beds

Lovely Hotel in a Great Location

We stayed here for a short four night break. The hotel was clean and well kept with excellent facilities. From the moment we checked in we were made to feel very welcome. The reception, restaurant and bar staff all went out of their way to help. Our room was clean and comfortable and the location of the hotel was ideal for us with pleasant walks to the beach, town, marina and woodlands. The evening entertainment was also very enjoyable.
All in all we would definitely like to stay here again and would recommend this hotel to other couples looking for a comfortable relaxed break in Cala D'Or.

We loved absolutely everything about this hotel and would love to go back. The rooms were very light and airy and exceptionally clean. All the staff, without exception, were the friendliest we have ever come across. We booked bed and breakfast which was excellent, all freshly cooked and such a wide choice. There are a range of activities during the day in and around the pool and entertainment by night. Couldn't fault it.

We stayed on a bed & breakfast one week break. We can only speak about the breakfast experience but have to say that the service was excellent! We had no problem finding a table each morning, tables were cleared quickly and efficiently. Staff were friendly and made conversation. Room was well equipped and had all we needed. Cala D’or is a nice easygoing family resort with a great selection of bars and restaurants and good small sandy coves. Have returned many, many times over many years.

Amazing long weekend getaway

Stayed here for 3 nights in October there just gone and just missed the rain they had so it was a very pleasant stay this time of year. Picked the hotel based on the images and location for surprising our parents while there.
Very modern is some aspects but could be more updated all over to make more of a impression.
Certain points would be the room balcony door has been painted to cover the brown wood but then now doesn’t close overally great and a lot of bugs could get in.
The bathroom door was shamelessly old whilst the rest looked updated little things like that.
Room quite dark
But overall condition very good.
The room was not changed the bed cleaned in the 3 days there we just had fresh towels.
We were b n b and the breakfast however was amazing there was everything on offer just go earlier as Rd on until 10.30.

We arrived at midnight and was greeted by very helpful staff who advised us of a buffet at the restaraunt and promptly booked us in.
We was only there for three nights and did not use all the facilities so can't comment fully.
The Tucan is not a high end luxury hotel but provides a good level of basic comfort and is excellent in every other aspect.

We had Half board which provided for breakfast and evening meal which we asked to change to lunch which was done on request without any problems and was very good with a wide range to choose from.

At all times staff were polite and helpful.

Sentido Tucan Hotel - very central to restaurants

We were half board however disappointed in food offered for dinner. Poor quality and limited choice. We have stayed at other Sentido Hotels before and have always been happy with the food. We were there for seven nights and ate out on four of these. Breakfast was fine. Would not go half-Board again at this hotel particularly as there are so many excellent restaurants in the immediate area.

Third holiday to this Hotel.

A lovely Hotel, in a great location. All the staff work really hard, to make sure that you enjoy your stay. The restaurant catered for all nationalities. The food is of a very high standard with plenty of choice.
You can reserve 2 sun beds and a parasol, for 50 euros per week, which a lot of people objected to, however it stops people from putting towels on more than 1 bed and allows you to lie in and not have to worry, about getting one in the first place.
I think that the only weak link, was the entertainment. They were lovely Girls, but too inexperienced. The couple who organised tha activities last year, engaged most people and were very bubbly personalities. At least one member of the team, should have this expertise.
On the whole, a very enjoyable holiday.

Our stay in this hotel was overall very good, location is perfect for beach, shops and restaurants.
We were half board but chose to eat out quite a few nights as the food seemed a bit repetitive and also found the dining room lacked atmosphere.
We had payed extra for a see view which was gorgeous but with the design of the balcony you could only see it if you were standing up!

Room update was ok however outside on balcony was shabby unfinished painting, tv didn’t work was fixed, fridge not working also replaced, and worst of all the bed was so uncomfortable. It feels this hotel updatei has been done on the cheap. We stayed last August in the Esmeralda adults only around the corner both 4 star however would say The Tuscan is a 3* in comparison. Lauren from the entertainment team was very friendly took time to get to know the guests and Motown Mania group was very good, The elderly bar tender was a lovely man.

A very nice hotel, perfectly situated just 3 minutes walk to all the restaurants in the town centre.and 5 minutes to the beach. Hotel is very well kept and clean.Staff are extremely friendly, all except the reception staff!. They all Seem very standoffish and have no rapport with the guest. When I left and upon checking out I was presented with my 30 Euro bar bill which I paid and that was It. No \"did you have a nice stay\", \"did you like the hotel\" , \"have nice flight\" etc not even a \"goodbye\" ., she just walked off. All the front desk staff were the same. You were the one that had to say \"good morning\" etc. They avoided all eye contact. Very strange. But apart from that a very nice hotel. Would stay there again.

Great central location, close to the beach and the town & harbour. The hotel was very nice, with a very comfortable bed, pool towels provided, a great choice of food, but breakfast not always enough choice.
My only complaint would be the noise from the hotel opposite, as we only had single glazed balcony door, you could hear it late at night, if it was double glazed it would help.
Also you could hear all the chairs in the dinning room below scraping the floor, if all the chairs had felt protectors on, you wouldn’t hear this.

This is our 2nd visit, a party of 4 aged 23 -52 we come for a long weekend to cala dor the same weekend every year for our anniversary... rooms are comfortable and spotless as is the rest of the hotel, we go all inclusive for convenience but we always eat out as this is what we like to do in cala dor... as one of the few affordable adult only hotels here we will be back again next year.

Went all inclusive for five days for our birthdays
Check in was extremely quick Arrived around 11.30 am our room was really which was great as our flight was at six in the morning.
Food and drinks were better than most all inclusive hotels alway something lovely to eat at all meal times. Entertainment good only tribute band Abba was poor .
Nice town for shopping
Would book this Hotel again

Lovely hotel, convenient for the centre and beach.

The staff were friendly and efficient. The buffet restaurant serve a varied selection and was of a good standard, catering for different nationalities. Around the pool, the fast food outlet was popular. Especially if you wanted to take part in the poolside activities.
Our room was comfortable and clean. My only criticism was a smell of cigar smoke. Rooms do have smoke detectors but perhaps the previous guests had been smoking in the bathroom. The cleaning staff did their best to eliminate the smell, but it was four days into the holiday, before the smell had completely gone.

Nice just not for us

We are a couple in our 30's. This hotel is crazy noisy because of a neighbouring hotel, which means we got no sleep. All inclusive in Spain means only certain hours of the day, not 24/7 like we are used to. The hotel is 95% a Thomas Cook hotel, meaning there is no proper welcome or info for non TC guests. The general population was 55+. The pool is also cold, not heated, apparently not even by the sun as agreed by the staff. The location is good for the beaches and the buffet dinner is nice enough, but not excellent. In our opinion this is a 3 star not 4, but a nice enough one. Also the area is very Brits Abroad, so if you like English food or have young kids it is a nice easy spot.... but per the title, just not for us.

Great hotel near the beach and the town.

This is the third time we've had an all inclusive short break in Cala D'or. This was the best.

We had room 151. It's on the corner facing the see and has an extra balcony. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom was nice and had a massive dinner plate shower.

The pool area is large enough that finding a sunbed isn't too challenging.

The beach is just across the street and the busiest part of the town is almost just as close.

The food was very good. Much better than the usual buffets that you get in this type of hotel.

All in all, great value.

We came to Mallorca to deep water solo. We didn't spend very much time at the hotel and didn't use most amenities. The food was pretty good and the staff was nice. We were disappointed on how uncomfortable the beds were. We had requested a queen and had received two twins that were very hard. Please invest in some foam or extra padding please. We liked having the balcony off the room. It overlooked the pool. The location was great and walking distance to all the shops for souvenirs. Also, all-inclusive is a stretch. If you don't want to eat and drink on their schedule you are coming out of pocket.

Great location, lovely interior

Staff were very helpful, location was perfect- only a short walking distance from the beautiful cove beach and near lots of restaurants and local food shop. My boyfriend and I stayed all inclusive, which was worth it for the waters and drinks we had throughout the day. Food was a little disappointing but there are lots of places very close by if you fancied a change. Hotel interior was modern and clean. The room was lovely. The main negative for me, was the sun beds. The arms on them were a bit awkward and made of metal so became too hot to rest your arms on in the sun and they needed a good clean as tanning creams had made them a bit sticky. Overall, they aren't very practical and could do with an upgrade... Regardless, we had a wonderful stay at Sentido Tucan, and consider returning in the future with friends (hopefully they'll have new sun beds by then!)

Stayed with my parents and siblings. Was less luxury than we expected but still a good break. Food was varied but had to pick the good bits from the buffet. would not come back to the same hotel especially as the small beach nearby is just too crowded.

Clean basic hotel in a great location

Reception staff checked me in early which was great, but the rooms are very small and I think I got the last room in the hotel - facing a building at the back. The room itself was nice, comtempoary, clean and comfortable.

The reception / bar and pool area are great. Really spacious with plenty of seats and sun loungers. The pool was immaculate and the staff were friendly.

The hotel has prime location in Cala D'or, 2 minutes from the beach and 2 minutes from the centre of the resort. Cala gran gets quite busy, so I'd recommend walking to some of the other beaches on the other side of town.

The only let down was the food, which was pretty terrible. I went half board but I'd recommend skipping food and eating out at the nearby restaurants. That being said, you can't really complain for the price.

I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again, I'd just skip half board. If you can get a cheap all inclusive deal, it might be worth it for the alcohol alone.

Expected more fresh food for breakfast, and quite a bit of information is missing to know what the product is and what it contains. Playgames are pretty old and broken like darts. More, the depth of our room was dirty and the pool was Really cold. For a 4 stars, it doesn't deserve it.

Good points: Manual at the desk, music's evening, kind people and beautiful lights inside the bedroom.

Une nuit ici, arrivée et départ parfait.
JacuZi piscine etc… petit déjeuner très complet.
La ville à bcp de charme et la plage est à 2 pas. Séjour de 5 jours avec 1 nuit ici car nous avons fait le tour de l’île en scooter.
