As always great, but fix the lifts and warm pools

Refurbishment of hotel and room superb. Only problem lift not working , same in other blocks. Never saw anyonevtrying to fix them we with a baby in a pram in our party and on 3rd floor so hard work. Pools are cold even in Drago land, sea was warmer !! Entertainment very good. We have been on numerous occassiobs and updating of Esmeralda park is to a very high standard.

Clean room, housekeeping cleans and restocks room daily which was so nice to come back to! Beautiful resort, beach is very close and staff was extremely helpful! Parking can be tedious but it’s the way all over the island! They provided crib for us and the store right across the street has everything you need including some baby supplies!

Beautiful property, the beds were ok, not the most comfortable, everything else in the room was perfect other than having one day where our hot water wasn’t fully working. We knew this would be a family resort, and had adult only areas but the public beach and dining is full of other people with young children and it’s very busy and loud. I would come back if I bring my kids with me, otherwise, I would go with an adults only resort for a more relaxing experience.

Perfect location right next to a beautiful beach. Adults only pool in mid September was not that busy.

Rooms were refurbished in May this year but already many scratches, doors not closing properly - it’s clear it was not the most high quality refurbishment. However sound proofing was great.

We had Breakfast in our room rate which honestly was not great, and quite shocking in the number of options

We enjoyed our stay as the hotel is extremely well located, but there are some gaps. I imagine in peak season the hotel is extremely busy.

After visiting a the hotel post renovation, everything looks beautiful, but unpractical, the pool shrank significantly and its impossible to enjoy without bumping into a child/adult.
For babies/toddlers will be perfect, but not for 4+ as the big pool is now very small for the volume of guests.
The new pool restaurant was ok but expensive.
The kids show looked very improvised and repetitive.
Even the DJ was distracted chatting with staff around him.
The mail restaurant needs for staff, plates were pilling on the table without someone being attentive to pick them up.
The staff that we recognised from our previous visit, really makes the effort to do as much as possible, but more staff is needed.
Half board doesn’t include drinks, be aware, expedia does not advertise this.
Luckily we got compensation after claiming this via chat.

This hotel is in a beautiful setting in a picturesque cove.
The room was well maintained, comfortable and spacious.
The staff we met at reception, in the outdoor restaurant and cleaning our rooms were always very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast offered a very wide choice of food options.
Children enjoyed the play area.
Didn’t like the very busy and crowded family swimming pool.

Beautiful lobby, terrible experience. Check-in was slow and disorganized, rooms scattered across different buildings, and basic amenities nonexistent — no welcome water, no working toilet flush, no functioning TV remote without a maintenance saga.

The pool bar served overpriced cocktails that took forever to make and tasted awful. Showers blasted water everywhere before you could even use the overhead, and the “shower gel” was so ineffective my 7-year-old son complained he still felt dirty.

The final insult-No iron — unless you rent one. In 30+ years of travel, I’ve never seen that.

If you want a hotel where functioning showers, drinkable cocktails, and wrinkle free clothes are “luxuries,” this is your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere.

100% BED BUGS

We first entered our room on the night of our arrival there was a crib in the room we had not requested. Hair on the floor and a pink lipstick sort of smudge on the floor. Worst is that I noticed a small bug near headboard. Woke up with bed bug bits- classic three bites. On arms, wrist. Next morning they offered to exchange the mattress which would be the worst thing to do as this would lead to spread of contamination. They reluctantly offered another room in another nearby building. When I went to inspect the room it had not yet been cleaned, which is fine, but when I moved the night stand table there were many bed bug nymphs, same as my previous room. They reluctantly offered another room. This room was cleaner. And I reluctantly agreed but the stay was very stressful and had to be very careful with all belongings. Leaving them outside. At the end of the trip many new classic bed bug bites had developed.. coming back home was a big hassle to get rid of many belongings and “bake” all items. I have been home a few days now and I am still in fear. I hope it’s over. Pics of my wrist, other pics will not be attached as they are of other family members.
On a much lesser note, very tacky that when you order the meal package they charge you for a glass of water or drinks during dinner. Very tacky cash grab is what it feels like. Dino park is very small and adult are charged- even higher rate than the child’s cost. Not worth it.

The design of the bathroom is awful, I’ve been to plenty of hotels and this was the worst. You couldn’t take a shower without the entire floor being flooded, including where the toilet stood! Also, I’ve never had to pay for use of an iron. I thought the 6 euro daily fee for an iron was ridiculous!

False marketing: the room we were given was nothing like publicized on the site. Management was dismissive and not willing to give us a reasonable solution: we were told the only option we had was that room that was a clear downgrade from what we had reserved. We cancelled our stay, but the hotel refused to give even partial refund of the 2900 euros we paid for our stay. Expedia also refused to give us any refund, even if it does not reflect the cancellation policy on the site. Expedia’s excuse was that the hotel refused even partial refund.

Overall given the price of this hotel, we were unimpressed.

We are a family of 3, with a 3 year old girl.

It was impossible to get a sun bed around the pool, all towels on loungers by 8am and the staff didn’t take them off. That would be ok as there is a small water park, which had plenty of beds however it was 22 euros per adult, each day. Incredible when our little girls was only able to go on the 2 smallest slides.

The hotel is next to great small beach however it is again massively overcrowded and difficult to get sun beds or even a space on the sand.

The breakfast buffet was average and again overcrowded, with 20 minutes wait most days.

The positives were the area is great for families, we found a lovely cafe for breakfast in the centre and some wonderful restaurants in the evening. It felt safe with a good atmosphere. The beaches are beautiful but busy and difficult to get to with prams ( no ramps).

Overall I think that if the hotel was a 3 star hotel, with that price tag it would be acceptable.

Good hotel. Close to a great beach and a great cafe next to the beach that’s adults only. The hotel has a kids club. The kids club was enjoyed by our 5 and 7 year old. The 1 bedroom only has a sofa for the kids that can be modular to accommodate two kids. It’s not an extra dedicated bed for the kids. Staff was friendly.

Average stay, our bathroom leaked for 6 days (floors flooded) and only offered a room change the day before we left. Offered a 70 euro compensation to be spent at the hotel however when we purchased drinks, only given 50 euros credit- too late to speak to anybody as again this is as only offered the night before we left.
Pool facilities great but overcrowded and no sun beds available from 8.30 daily.
Restaurant good but little to no vegan options, no vegan options for dessert at all except sorbet twice.

Not Ready for Guests – Disappointing Stay

Sadly, our stay was very underwhelming. The hotel is still under refurbishment, which wasn’t clearly communicated. There was no pool bar, a sewage smell coming from the air con, and the lift wasn’t working—especially dangerous and inconvenient with a baby.

Staff communication was poor, and there was no real apology for any of the issues. The hotel might be nice once finished, but right now, it’s simply not ready. Wouldn’t return until everything is fully complete and functional.

Very nice hotel. Access to the two cala’s is superb. Many outdoor options available throughout the resort. The room was very clean but outdated. I believe they have started renovations of the rooms as the one we had did not reflect the pictures at the time of booking. My only criticism is although it’s a family resort, I booked it anyways as the property description indicated there were family and adult only separate pools. Crying children were heard although this was the case. Same at breakfast, kids were running around the breakfast area as if it was a playground.

We stayed in a top floor premium apartment which was very nice, spacious and light with a lovely large balcony. Food was nice with plenty on offer. Every member of staff we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. Beautiful location with a small sandy beach which was very busy but it was high season still, very busy around the pool too. We will definitely return but probably at a slightly less busy time!

Pool way too busy, could barely move - has an over 16 pool but way too short on space to restrict one in my opinion. Lifeguards patrolling to remove belongings from sunbeds. Service areas such as beach restaurant neither friendly nor efficient. Begrudged paying for sunbeds on the beach which were clearly Inturotel as was all their signage. EUR 9 for two coffees when EUR 3 in the bakery up the road. Breakfast in the restaurant has long queues snaking through reception so never bothered. Nothing particularly wrong with it but certainly wouldn’t stay again peak season

Expectations are higher for the amount of service received.
Had to pay for the beach loungers and umbrella at the beach side whereas the ones by the pool was free. CardSlow and inefficient process accessing to most of things. ie. Needed to go to reception to activate the safe with unnecessary deposit. And interestingly, they could not make an authorisation on the card but asked for cash instead which did not make sense. Needed to wait until after 10am to get beach towels…

Loved the location for the beach and there was an adult swimming pool that we could use to get away from noisy families. Xisca who was the room attendant to L212 who was polite and smiling all the time and was always happy to help with the extra towels.
The life guard should on one occasion did not do anything about the dogs mess that was on the grass near the adult when I informed them of it and it was still there by the end of the day. Not a good thing if the hotel wants to good to continue with the clean look of the resort.

Nice area. It was right by the Cala esmeralda beach and close to restaurants. Our room was clean and had a sliver side view of the water. The breakfast was good. They had typical items such as salad, bread, eggs, yogurt and one day they had smoked salmon and another day they had Belgium waffles. I didn’t like that the juices were from a machine. The coffee was also and the capuchinos were just okay. The parking was tight and not enough but free. We got lucky coming back late one night. Our room was very cold for two nights by the time they finally fixed it. They have a kids club which seemed nice for kids and parents. Our kids 6 & 7 enjoyed the indoor pool as it was cold in late April but it gets very crowded as everyone was there. The staff were all very nice. Place was clean. Beds are comfortable and there is a small kitchen. Room set up was great for families.

It is a good experience

Our first room had an awful mold odor that made my spouse sick. We went to reception and they immediately looked for another room and changed us.

They have lots of entertainment for kids but there is so much of Mallorca to see that you want to rent a car and explore the island. We did that. Appreciated the free parking lot on the side next to M apartments.

The breakfast was alright. Hit or miss on some days. One day they had great vegetarian options, the other day it was like a pork fest.

We had a wonderful stay at the Inturotel Esmeralda Park. We’d booked a Premium Seaview room and it was lovely. The seaview was great but slightly ruined by the road in front of it but the room itself was very clean and comfortable. Staff maintaining the grounds and cleaning all the time. Sunbeds all over so plenty to choose from but people were getting up and leaving towels, that said I did see one of the lifeguards removing many after 45 mins. Lovely area with some great bars and restaurants.

Exceptionally clean resort, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful location. The resort is spread across various properties which are located around Cala Esmeralda, a beautiful cove with clear emerald water and soft sand. We stayed with two children and the resort is most definitely family friendly. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by with the centre of Cala D’Or a short walk away. Excellent holiday!

Seriously wrong check in process and room comfort

FIrst of all, the location of the hotel is perfectly placed for easy access to the child friendly Esmeralda beach
In fact the entire setup is ideal for kids wrt location, entertainment, safety, food etc..the kids club is great but the kids discos is superb
Check in was a major issue. I arrived before a group of 20-30 people to check in. I was told my room wouldn't be ready for another 90mins which I accepted. But I noticed everyone who checked in after me got their keys but not us. We had to wait outside in the hot sun with all our luggage incl perishable food items. When I asked if our room can be cleaned next or asap they said no. Super rigid housekeeping process and when we did eventually get the room (Premier apt), it was on the ground floor in a dark corner with sunlight. The floors had sand and the a/c was broken so it was always too cold. Didn't sleep well as we could hear footsteps above us and the sound of every flush above us through the soil pipe. Thanks Inturotel for accommodating our 3yo child and making our last 2 days of holiday \"memorable\"

Brilliant hotel for young families

Amazing hotel for our little family. We travelled with a 8 month old baby for our first family holiday - lots of other young families were at the hotel which made us feel more relaxed and we didn’t have to worry when our little one was grumpy or cried. We upgraded to a sea view apartment which was worth the money, especially as we were on the ground floor and could use the baby monitor from the grassy area in front of the balcony when we were sunbathing. We stayed on a B&B basis - breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had in a resort stay. The neighbourhood has some great restaurants and they all catered for a young baby. It’s a short and easy walk to Cala d’Or centre with even more restaurants and was simple enough to do with a buggy too. Hotel is immaculately clean, cleaners are brilliant and we had a daily housekeeping service. Only (slightly) negatives are that the rooms didn’t have any guides to inform you of facilities or services available, which meant we missed out on a bit / weren’t aware of what was offered at the hotel. Our room also had ants in the kitchen/lounge (a housekeeper came with some spray but this didn’t help much) but this can only be expected in this climate. Overall, we would definitely come again, especially with our young children and would recommend this hotel. We look forward to our next stay!

Shame the premium rooms do not have a freezer for ice. Would also be great if the cafe by the pool opens earlier so we can have morning coffee by the pool 🙂

Nice hotel - great for a family

The hotel was nice, it actually surpassed my expectations. We stayed self catering which was perfect as we prefer to go out and explore. The rooms where great for a family. Nice beach but busy. The pools very crowded. We did book this hotel as it did advertise kids club and activities. We found out that this was all cancelled due to covid. We knew about the kids club before arriving. The biggest disappointment was that the gym was also closed although Hotels.com advertised that it was open (as well as the kids club still open). Although the front desk throughout the stay seemed excellent, on arrival and when questioned about the gym, the response I received was “well do you want to stay or not” obviously I am not going to change my mind at that point with my family having flown from the UK. I did not receive any further information from that particular staff member on facilities or food options. The next day was a totally different story, the receptionist explained all the facilities and from that point and beyond, all super helpful to even changing a broken TV within 5 minutes of reporting it. Nice hotel, clean, good location and what we needed.

Stayed for 6 nights in October. Room great, food lovely and pleased to say this has not changed since we last stayed. We are normally late Eaters on holiday but always found there was loads of choice and all very fresh. Room cleaned by Cathy daily to a really high standard with a few nice touches. All staff acknowledged you as they pass which shows a high standard of training. Not one for entertainment on a night but also found this to be really good!
Location lovely right next to the beach.

The staff are the outstanding feature of this Hotel the things that could do with improvement are the gym needs more things in there like free weights & barbells, the dining area reception & bar area could do with being updated. There could be more variety in the Restaurant & Vegan options available like plant based youhurts milk & vegan choices at Breakfast & Dinner

Tourist trap

Hard to get a sun lounger after 10am. This resort is absolutely heaving with people and the actual complex is massive. The local town of cala d'Or is a tourist trap. Nothing interesting about it at all. The sea views are nice. The man at the front desk had a bit of attitude. We checked in at 5pm. Apparently you can't get a towel for the pool after 5.30pm. Would have been nice to know that at check in, as we would have liked a little swim before the pools shut at 7pm. When we went back to ask for a towel he spoke to us in a tone as though we should have somehow known this.

It was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good - lots of choice and good quality food. The hotel is also in a good location that is fairly quiet but also very near to shops and restaurants.

It is always annoying to be charged extra to use the safe. The hotel has signs asking people not to reserve sun-loungers with towels but a lot of people still do it and nothing is done about it.

Great resort and was happy with the premium apartment we chose.

Parking is not clearly marked. I was still confused after speaking with receptionist at check in. My partner found a secure car park leading into the complex the next day which would have been helpful if we’d been advised at check in

I loved being right in the ocean and the separated adult only pool from the family pools. It would have been nice to have free weights in the gym. The cost of eating in the restaurant was a little pricey and it would have been nice to have coffee served earlier without buying a breakfast buffet

Lovely complex, but consider room suitability

Stayed in a premium Apartment on room only basis. Having booked 8 months ago, requesting a quiet room, and as a couple in our late 40’s/early 50’s we were extremely disappointed to be allocated an apartment (M101) directly adjacent to the kids entertainment stage and under 12’s playground, our balcony was literally next to the stage.... not what a couple want from a holiday (perfect for a young family with small children!) Slightly surprised at receptions initial reaction of “what do you expect in a family resort” This complex is marketed towards familys, couples and groups alike, hence having an Adults only pool. The complex was full with no possibility of a swap until night 3 of our holiday. Thanks to Sara, who was most efficient in sorting our move to P303. The apartments are spotless, contemporary and of good quality. Public areas are immaculate with beautiful grounds. Staff are friendly and helpful and although the hotel was busy for the first week of October, they could reduce the numbers of loungers around the pool to allow a little space around each! We only ate once in the beach snack bar, good service, nice food and reasonably priced. Overall we enjoyed the last 5 days of our stay very much.... after being moved from stage side “kiddyville” This complex can cater for all, and does so very well... just a little consideration to room allocation and location which is best suited for those occupying them. We would recommend to our grown up kids and their families too.

Had a great time with group of friends. Stayed in excellent room, Select Apartment which had been recently refurbished. Very good restaurants in local area. Staff very helpful

One negative aspect was being charged for room safe - in other hotels we have stayed at around the world this facility has been free of charge. Also friends charged for daily beach towel which is not the norm (we brought own towels)

Beautiful apartments

We arrived late evening and was greated with a warm welcome. Check in was quick and we were given clear directions to our apartment. The apartment was really nice, well equipped, spacious and very clean. Everything was top quality and modern. The shower was amazing.
We had a large balcony with comfortable chairs and table. The pools were lovely and everywhere very clean all the time. The apartments were very quiet. The bed so comfortable we have ordered the same mattress for home.
The location is very good, with restaurants and bars within easy walking. Nothing was too much trouble.
