Everything about this hotel was perfect. Greeted us like family. Room was spotless and was cleaned every day. Air conditioning was excellent. Beds very comfortable. Kitchen staff friendly and breakfast was always excellent. I would highly recommend the Rayon to anyone who wants to go to Negril and be steps away from the beach. We’re hoping to go again
next year. One tip book early. This is a much desired hotel with repeat visitors.

Staff is lovely. Beautiful landscaping and in spite of cat 5 hurricane staff quick to clean up and property is beautiful and lush. Free breakfast daily. Restaurant offers lunch and dinner as well. Cute bar beside pool. Room service . All the amenities provided even as staff are dealing with their personal post hurricane clean up. Rooms comfortable and staff always available. Just cross the street and walk down a short path to beautiful sun beach. Strongly recommend. Have stayed here several times. Jamaican owned.

Lovely Hotel and Staff

This hotel is a true gem. The staff can’t be more helpful, kind and sweet. We arrived before 10:00 to check in and we only had to wait a short time to go to our room. I didn’t get the names of the staff but the amazing lady in the restaurant is just so sweet and the fab lady at the reception was brilliant, along with the other fantastic staff! The hotel has access to beaches across the road which are beautiful. Breakfast is included with the option of continental or Jamaica breakfast……. plus a pancakes, waffles etc. we also had dinner in the restaurant one evening which was yummy and cooked to order. Will be back for sure when back in Negril.

Charming, locally owned property, across the street from the beach. We stayed in the villa; 2 adjoining bedrooms (and their own bathrooms), an eat-in kitchen and small sitting area.

The accommodations were very clean and the beds, comfortable. There were some hiccups- they'd forgotten to turn on the water supply (quickly rectified), and one of the bathtubs leaked during showers. Several lightbulbs were burnt out, there were no batteries in the safe, and only enough dishes for two. The curtains fit tightly to the rods, so it wasn't easy to open them to let in light/air. One of the windows was missing a screen, and since we opted not to use the air conditioner, it got a little stuffy at times. But we spent little time in the rooms, opting to sit on the balcony when we were not on the beach.

The included breakfast was a choice of Jamaican or American. Portions were generous, and included an appetizer of fresh fruit and cake. We had dinner at the restaurant once, and it was hearty and delicious (but be sure to order in advance).

The staff was pleasant and helpful, from the front desk, to housekeeping, to the bartender. Our arranged transportation was friendly and on-time.

The friendly security guard helped us cross the road, several times, making it far less daunting! Once across the road, it's a short walk to the beach, the star of the show!

Overall, the property could use a little refresh, but it was more than suitable for our family of four. We would gladly return.

Dinner options were tasty and reasonably priced, though sometimes limited. The staff was phenomenal. Special thanks to Trish (dining room)! We just returned from a 10 night stay at the Rayon . Wow ! We were so impressed with this charming property . The staff are amazing .. all the way from management to housekeeping to security . The complimentary FULL daily breakfast was fabulous and the girls in the restaurant are top notch . Shout out to Miss. Pansy for operating such a wonderful property . We are definitely returning . We have stayed at many properties in Jamaica including some 5 star all inclusives . This by far was one of our most memorable holidays . Well done Rayon ! Keep up the fantastic job !!

Overall, we had a wonderful stay at the Rayon Hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was great and close to the beach, and the security guards kept us feeling very safe. The rooms were very outdated, but clean, and since we did not spend much time indoors it was just fine for us. We did not end up using the pool but the pool area was very beautiful. The only reason why I’m not giving it a five star review was the food: american brealfast was good, but we ordered dinner there on the first night, which took 1.5 hours to arrive and did not taste good. The food service was often quite slow at breakfast. Not a majpr issue, but factor it in when planning your meals! That said, it’s a great good value option and I would stay there again.

I regret not booking my entire stay here. The staff were nice and attentive. I stayed in 112 which is an apartment. Nice setup, clean, and cozy. The breakfast was delicious and free. I tried to book the apartment again for March but it sold out. My advice to anyone considering Rayon…book it now!

I had a comfortable 8 night stay in an apt with kitchen at this lovely hotel. It is centrally located with access to the beach across the street. This was a peaceful oasis. Crystal greeted us and checked us in. Everyone from the chef to the security team was super welcoming. The hotel is in close proximity to so many things the beach is a 4 minute walk. The best in the west restaurant is a quick 3 minute walk. There is a shopping center about a 7 minute walk. Margaritaville is a few minutes walk. There are cab drivers right in front ready to take you anywhere for a reasonable price. The free breakfast is also a great bonus! The pool was great and it was so relaxing. A special shout out to Noreen, Sky, Alison, Odane, everyone was great!

Let me preface this review by stating that I did a same day booking. However, this is no excuse for the condition of the room I was given. There was absolutely no toiletries in the room so I was unable to shower, the toilet paper was on its last roll and a backup wasn't provided, the toilet tank was turned off due to a leak and a swarm of noisy mosquitoes wreaked havoc throughout the night.

I tried calling front desk multiple times to have these issues rectified (around 7pm) but the phone rang out every single time. I did not receive a call back.

The property is okay, the staff courteous and the breakfast was good but I still left feeling peeved about the multiple shortcomings in the room.

This was by far the beat place i've stayed in Negril! The property is not on the beach but there is beach access right across the street. They have a beautiful pool to lay poolside. The staff was friendly and had daily housekeeping service. The water was hot and plentiful. I only wish the bar was open and there was music playing throughout the property to make it seem a bit more livelier. I would definitely stay at this property again actually I didn't want to leave just yet. A full kitchen was very nice I was able to prepare my own meals, minus breakfast because that was provided free with our stay every day!

First of all keep in mind Jamaica is a very poor country. Their 5 star accommodations is our 3 star accommodations. Our cleaning lady Jackie was awsome and did a great job. We had all of our Landry done before leaving and only cost $10. Clean, dry, folded and everything came back smelling great. The hotel was quiet and I would stay there again. Right across the street from 7 mile beach, great location, great restaurants etc.

What a cute place! We stayed for 2 nights before moving to an all inclusive for the week. The front desk staff was polite and helpful. The property was clean and quiet. While not beachfront, it was a very easy walk across the street to the beach area. The dining area was good, but when they say cook to order, they mean it, so be prepared to wait. Having breakfast included was a nice touch and it was delicious! We will definitely be back!

This was our first time at the Rayon. We loved being right across from the beach so most of our time was spent there. The room was clean and our house keeper, Floreen was amazing and so friendly! If you are looking for a quiet, quaint place to stay and walking distance to so many things then this is definitely the place to stay. So much more fun and affordable than an all inclusive. The staff was absolutely amazing. They treated us so special. The groundskeeper overheard my wife and I talking about our anniversary, and when we came back from the beach, they had decorated our room so nicely, including balloons, and also had a bottle of wine. One day it rained all day, So the Owner had them prepare a special dinner for us that night, and everyone ate together in the restaurant as an event. The facility is an older building, but very clean. It’s literally right across the street from the beach, so you can walk across the street and onto the beach, and walk up and down the beach, where all of the restaurants, bars, etc are accessible. You can also walk on the sidewalk in either direction, leaving the hotel, and find Jerk chicken stands and Homemade Patties,(plate-sized overstuffed meat pies) and desserts, and local stores. This Hotel is a great Value. In other places, and did not nearly receive excellent, thoughtful Setlist, that we received at this hotel. Hats off to Allison, Garrett, Jaikiara, Coreen, Crystal, and everyone at the Front Desk. The Owner is approachable, perceptive, and concerned about his Patrons. We definitely recommend this Hotel. Not Luxurious, but cozy, clean, comfortable, and affordable.

Restaurant service staff really behave like they dont want to be there. Very unaccomodating.
Poor manners, dont smile. It literally takes nothing to smile and be friendly, especially in service industry.
