Located in Negril, The Boardwalk Village is on the beach, a 3-minute walk from Seven Mile Beach and 12 minutes by foot from Bloody Bay Beach. This beach hotel is 0.7 mi (1.1 km) from Bloody Bay and 0.8 mi (1.3 km) from Booby Cay.

First off this is my 4th different resort in Negril ive stayed.
The Resort is nice, clean and safe. Because of the off season it was slow and the bar/kitchen staff showed, no smiles no laughing. Just dead inside really. They were more intrested in talking to each other then helping. So the room was great and close to the ocean. The bed is a bit hard but that's a personal opinion. Water in room was sometimes weak but didn't effect us much.
The beach was nice and clean. The lifeguards are the most welcoming.
So the food here is hit or miss. But the price's are not. They're is now a food tax and a service fee on all your bills. So plan on spending on avg $75 and up on most meals for two. And then they ask you to tip. The service fee goes to all staff so the service has slacked because of it. Coffee in the mornings here will cost you $5 us. And you have to pay for refills. So we just bought local coffee and requested a coffee maker for our room. They have a snack shop on site but plan on spending alot for very little.
If you need a ride into town, walk out tge front and across the street and there will be a taxi that will only charge you a few bucks to go to the store. Don't let them get you a driver!!
For dinner we went to Jamwest just down the beach. Its expensive but at least the food and atmosphere are nice.

We loved having the restaurant on property, an ATM machine on property, lots of chairs and space on the beautiful beach, the rooms were large and clean, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The property is very clean and staff are great. The beach and ocean are beautiful The lifeguards who handle setting up beach umbrellas and cushions for chairs are wonderful. They get to know your habits and get things set up very quickly.
If you like Reggae music and people watching The Boardwalk Village is right for you. Reggae plays all day and on some days bus loads of visitors come from the cruise ships. Imagine watching grandparent-aged people drink beer and smoke dope.

Beachfront location is wonderful with calm clear warm shallow water. There are no beachfront rooms despite the description. Food is great at the restaurant. Renovated suite was tall, spacious enough but could have used a chair. Beach is walkable both ways. Staff very friendly and helpful. Large old trees on the property and adjacent private property. Fireman's Lobster Pit nearby is the real deal with good side dishes as well. There is an off season for lobsters and this was not it!

The more I travel, the more I realize that one person's pros are another's cons, so here's a list of what my husband and I experienced. This was our 6th time to Jamaica, our 4th to Negil/7 Mile Beach.
-Spacious room with AC, kitchenette, a selection of kitchenware, beach towels, TV
-Clean, quiet beach area with more than enough beach loungers. Cushions/umbrellas/plastic tables are free for guests.
-Excursion groups arrive around noon to enjoy the beach and leave by evening.
-Many of the rooms are rented to Jamaican security, not tourists.
-Many opportunities for water sports along the beach.
-Limited shops/restaurants due to large all-inclusive resorts on either side.
-Fewer beach vendors than the south end.
-One trial-size shampoo, lotion, 2 soaps, and 2 rolls of TP provided. If you want more, you have to ask.
-Shared outdoor seating on metal chairs and tables.

As for the hotel resto, don't go there when you're super hungry. It takes them 40 mins to an hour to cook your food. I don't understand what took them so long to toast bread and fry eggs and bacon. They don't seem to be understaffed when we stayed there.

Our group of 7 all came to Negril, Jamaica for the first time for Dream Weekend and we must say that this hotel stay was perfect.
Before we arrived, Ms. Elaine was very helpful with making sure we had transportation from Montego Bay airport to the hotel at a very reasonable rate for a group our size. The check in process was extremely easy and streamlined and we were even given delicious welcome drinks to kick off our stay.
The property was extremely clean! COVID practices were being observed property wide, there was literally someone cleaning the entire time. I saw staff cleaning window panes, door handles, railing, disinfecting floors through the day and night, everything. This was extremely reassuring to see. The rooms were clean, organized and very spacious. The hot water was hot, sheets were clean and fresh, air conditioner kicking. The rooms were cleaned daily. The beds were nice and firm. The young woman who cleaned my room Kadia deserves a special shoutout as she went through the trash for me to retrieve something mistakenly thrown away, just overall excellent service.
The staff at the restaurant/bar on site were superb. Raecine, Cavar, Alecia and everyone else provided excellent service and laughs the entire time. The food was delicious! Wide selection of American and Jamaican dishes.

There was nothing wrong the property or the staff. My problem started when my room was supposedly paid for to Expedia and the hotel said they never received payment for it. Very embarrassing. My wife had to call her credit card company to see if the charge had gone thru and it had not. So I ended up paying cash for the room which was not my intent. Very disappointed with Expedia.

Our stay at Boardwalk Village was beyond our expectations. We arrived late, and were greeted by the friendly, and helpful security guard. He walked us to our room, and made sure everything perfect. The next day, we were so pleased at our garden seating area, and even happier when we walked to the restaurant and found the sea right in front if us. Each day we ate and enjoyed real Jamaican cuisine. Every meal was so delicious , we even brought some friends to also enjoy the food, and ambiance. The host, Richard, was friendly, and greeted us by name . We were pleased by the small touches, like how each day the sand was raked, the pleasant music, the friendly waitstaff, the cool Ac, warm showers, comfy beds. This will not be our last trip to Boardwalk Village, and look forward to spreading the word about this Jewel of a find in Negril. We will be sharing your link to our Website !
