The beach was great, the pool was also very nice and beautiful, a backdrop for wonderful photos. Everything was nice. The wifi was reliable as well. It was a nice stay for my first time at this end of the island. Since I have a phobia of cats that was the only thing that I didnt care for, the 3 that apparently live there.

It’s always an absolute pleasure to stay here! I’ve stayed more than 5 times last year and it’s still my favorite. The staff truly embraces its temporary tenants. The sign in the front says welcome home and they mean it. The food at the bar is really good, all day! They never miss! Romeo, Ramone, O, and so many others have been so good to us. It’s literally right on the beach for a perfect beach day. I stayed during Hurricane Melissa and they truly took care of us and luckily the property didn’t receive any major damages and is still functioning as it did before the storm (I’ve been back twice since). I can’t say enough about this place!

Have stayed here multiple times over the years. One of the best places to stay in Negril. Sad that the beach is totally eroded up to the restaurant from hurricane Melissa. And disappointed in restaurant staff. Forgot our order first day, wanted to just pay for our coffee and had to wait 20 minutes for our bill. Ended up eating off property the rest of our stay.

After staying in an all inclusive resort our flight was cancelled. We found Travelers and this place is amazing. It’s real Jamaica ! Clean, safe, friendly staff and good food. They also have the best driver in Jamaica !!! Ask for Eddie Murphy and you won’t feel like you just bc some off a roller coaster ride.

The room was very good, not great. For me, the lighting was insufficient, the counter space in the bathroom was way too small, the HVAC didn't work perfectly part of the time, and there was no microwave. On balance, however, it was a good room and I would go back.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and the female servers were friendly. The male servers were not friendly. The service was always slow and sometimes extremely slow. It once took 80 minutes from the time I ordered dinner until it arrived.

Second stay at Traveller’s and I’m still in love. Smooth check-in with a yummy rum punch welcome drink. Room was nice and clean, water pressure in the shower could have been better. Delicious Jamaican breakfast. Bartenders were awesome especially Ricky. Let’s not forget the amazing and inviting beach on seven mile. Planning to return for Mother’s Day.

I stayed at Travellers Beach Resort for the Thanksgiving holiday and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The staff was more than hospitable, and the location was scenic and beautiful. The beach was gorgeous with its white sand, and the water was crystal clear. For my first-ever vacation in Jamaica, this was top tier. Cannot wait to visit again!

We had a great stay we met up with our friends there and between us had 3 children aged 4-9. The pool and beach were accessible and well staffed. The hotel was clean and comfortable and any issues that we had were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
The food was nice and affordable and the breakfast wristband is good value.

This rating is for a small quiet family run hotel not an international resort. There is a definite Jamaican themed at the hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. The food in restaurant and I’d Jamaican themed but does not vary. Staff are friendly approachable and helpful. Entertainment is quite limited.

I would not plan to stay longer than three or four days to avoid repetition

Room 55 had two bedroom, two full bathroom (one tub), kitchen, full fridge, microwave, two burner stove, coffee maker, pots/pans, silverware, plates, cups, two balconies, and basic toiletries. This room was quiet and spacious. The bed was so hard!!!! That’s the only drawback. My husband slept on the sofa and I could only sleep on my back in the bed. A mattress topper would have made a wonderful difference. The food is great and I highly recommend the Alfredo with chicken and / or shrimp. The pool was warm. The ocean was warmer. We also enjoyed the lounge at night where we played games with the family. There were live entertainment nights with karaoke, steel drum band, and a DJ. Some of my family experienced not having hot water and switched rooms. This was an excellent experience considering the recent devastation from Hurricane Melissa. I’m glad we decided not to cancel. We will be back soon.

had a very disappointing stay at Travellers Beach Resort. I booked two back-to-back reservations for the same room type and confirmed multiple times that I would stay in the same room, yet I was given keys to a completely different room than the one on the form I signed. The first room had a foul odor, looked dirty, and had several cats outside the door, which is a problem because I’m allergic. After a long discussion, I was finally moved to the room I was supposed to have.

Our group also had major room inconsistencies—half received renovated rooms while the rest of us got old, worn-out rooms that looked nothing like them. On top of that, we didn’t have hot water for two days, which is unacceptable.

Service was inconsistent as well. Many staff members didn’t acknowledge us, yet they were noticeably friendlier with certain other guests. There were a few great employees—Oval and Shanika at dinner and Ricky at the bar were wonderful. However, Antwinette repeatedly had an attitude whenever I asked questions and only became polite after I asked for her name.

During my second reservation, I was told I needed to move rooms again and would have to pay extra to “upgrade” just to stay in the same room, even though both bookings showed the same room type. Only after another staff member stepped in was I allowed to stay.

The storm damage explains some of the property’s condition, but not the poor communication, inconsistent rooms, lack of hot water, or uneven treatment of guests.

Travellers Beach Resort Truly Cares!

My husband and I stayed at Travellers Beach Resort in Negril from October 21–November 2, 2025, during Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm. The staff went above and beyond to keep everyone safe and comfortable — bringing snacks, water, and meals to our rooms, keeping power on with generators, and staying in touch through WhatsApp.

Even when flights were canceled, they extended our stay at a reduced rate and continued to serve with smiles, kindness, and compassion — even while some couldn’t reach their own families. They also helped non-guests who needed shelter, showing true humanity.

Travellers Beach Resort made us feel like family during one of the toughest times, and for that, they’ve earned our loyalty forever. We can’t wait to return! Thank you, Travellers Beach Resort — you are the heart of Negril!

Great modern (recently renovated) boutique hotel in Negril. I'd rate it a 3.5/5. Only issue for the area was the it seemed like somewhere along the beach at around noon daily, a large amount of polluted water was released into the ocean which rendered the beach and ocean very unsafe. I'm unsure where this polluted water was coming from but this needs to be rectified! Great restaurant, amenities, and room and we overall enjoyed our stay.

For a family of three, our room with a queen bed was too small, so we were offered an upgrade, which was very kind. The staff is outstanding.
Not one time while our daughter was at the resort did we worry. She loved the lounge and quick access to the beach and pool. I loved the grounds and private patio. All around a great stay!

I am giving this 1 star. But here is the context. The property, staff, cleanliness and location were all wonderful. No complaints. However, I booked a night at this property via Expedia. There was no indication at the time of my booking that the resort required a $150 deposit fee. I realized that AFTER I booked and got the confirmation email. By that time I was already on a bus enroute with my daughter. Actually, we stayed here three years ago, my daughter liked it and her only request for her birthday was to go back to Travellers. I barely had enough money to do so and used the last of my cash to make her request happen. This in mind, when I got to the resort I explained that I learned about the deposit after the fact of booking. I explained that I was meeting a birthday wish. I explained this for near 30 minutes, after 9pm in the night and the Front Desk Clerk kept telling me that her manager was insisting on no deposit, no check in. Finally when I decided to reach out to Expedia to help, the Front Desk Clerk came to me and told me that they decided to waive the fee. This was now 40 minutes of humiliation later. I do not blame her. God bless her soul, she did everything to act as an intermediary and was very helpful. But the whole experience felt crushing and unfortunately, I will never stay here again. To be clear, I am not against their deposit policy. What I found blindsighting is that it was stated AFTER booking. It was humiliating. 😒

This was my first time in negril and I couldn’t have picked a better resort to stay at during my time there. The staff was amazing, accommodating and nice. The signature cottage was exactly as pictured and such a home away from home. Drinks and food were great and other options were near by as well. I would definitely stay again!!

I recently booked this hotel from Sep 10-15 with my cousin for my 40th bday. We stayed in a standard room #42. Great spot in front of the pool and short walk to the beach and restaurant. I found it strange that we had an actually key to lock our room and not a card key. Food was delicious at the restaurant and well priced. Beach view is stunning ! Note: When there’s heavy rain the river goes into the beach and the water turns brown/yellow but last about 2-3 hours. This happened 2x during my stay.
Tucker, beach security was great. We really appreciated him as we noticed that other security was not as attentive. This hotel has a local vibe which is what we were looking for.
It is low season so it was not crowded which was perfect. We did not have hot/warm water for our showers but we didn’t advise the hotel staff as were too busy lol we managed.
Great hotel on a budget, this is not a high end all inclusive. Not much service on the beach. We often ordered at the bar, not a big deal as the bar is pretty close to the beach. Some female staff was not as inviting as the males lol. We walked to the souvenir store and local stores for whatever we needed. Kenneth, one of the drivers drove us around and he was great and we recommend. Short drive to Rick’s Café. Loved Negril and would go back!

Staying at Travellers is always a pleasure. The staff is exceptional at front desk and at the bar. All the servers are top notch including Romeo, Ramone, Rodger, etc.
Jermaine at the beach and the other guys were amazing and my housekeeper Fiona was over and above fantastic.

My little cottage was nice, and the kitchenette was handy. The room and bathroom were well-maintained and clean.
