Beautiful property with a nice beach that is quiet and away from the crowd but a close enough walk. Customer service could be improved. Hotel is fairly basic but met our needs. Great cook to order breakfast for purchase at the restaurant - not too pricey. Would stay again.

Coral Seas deceived me. Photos online show a modest hotel with amenities. Being on the beach was very important to me and photos show the beautiful beach. The room I stayed in needed updating badly. There was mismatched furniture and only one mirror, on the bathroom wall, no full length mirror. No safe, no hangers, no TV remote. The worst part was there were stains on the bed sheets! I requested them changed and was told there were no more. Needless to say I didn't sleep on them.The following day the maid came and still same sheets. I complained again and she gave me the sheets to change because her shift was over. Totally unacceptable! This was the double room I stayed in. I had friends staying next door same room except clean sheets. The staff was friendly and pleasant. I gave 2 star rating for the beach and surrounding area and for the kind staff. I did get a glance into the suite it was totally updated. Coral Seas needs a makeover for all the rooms! I would not book there again.

First day no towels and no toilet paper, this happened twice in the first 5 days. Two days we had no water, toilet plugged and no one to fix it. Got locked out the first night, security doesn’t have access to anything not even a plunger, will never stay there again, left after 8 days

As most of the reviews state, this property is very very basic. There are no bells and whistles.
It's pretty much just putting a roof over your head.
If you are planning to stay here be sure to pack yourself a bath towel washcloth and a beach towel, as they very well may not be available to you.
The restaurant and the bar was good. The beach was amazing! The staff was very friendly and accommodating, that along with the affordable rates will be what brings me back.
This place is very outdated, so if you are looking for luxury look elsewhere. This is at best a 2.5/3 star hotel ✨.
At least I know what to pack to make my stay more enjoyable next time around. Which will be my own bed/bath linen and cleaning supplies. Be sure to stop at the market to pick up water and snacks and don't forget the alcohol!!
So remember if you're looking for affordable rates in a clean safe friendly environment this is your place.
Oh yeah and the taxis are always at your service to take you anywhere you desire right at the front office (ask for Chuckie) he's at your service 24/7.

Enjoy your stay and don't sweat the small stuff, after all you're in beautiful Jamaica!!!🇯🇲

For the first 4 days there were no beach towels,
Everyday they would rash on on the regular bath towers and only give one towel per 2 persons per two days.
On 3 of the days I ran out of toilet paper as they would clean the room, and say they ran out of paper and waiting for delivery.
For one of the days there was no water at all throughout the resort.
For two days we slept without pillowcases as they said they ran out.
The duvet smelled like urine.
They used the same mop water for cleaning all the rooms and they use the same mop water for the toilet bowl brush.
The whole resort smelled like dirty mop for days, including our room.
In the room we stayed at 906, the debris/mud from roof dripping on veranda when raining. We asked them to mop the veranda, but no one did.

Run down, chipped tiles both inside & on porch. There was no internet access nor restaurant. No ice machines. Building had chipped paint on railing & rotted wood. Front desk staff not friendly nor helpful with getting luggage to the room which was up two flights of stairs. Did not explain how safe worked. Overall I would not return nor recommend.

Coral Seas Beach is Jamaica for me. If you want to snap your fingers and get exactly what you want immediately go to the all inclusive 5 star places. If you want to support the local economy and don't need everything to be perfect this is the place. Great people, clean rooms and a perfect quiet spot to enjoy the beach. A short walk to everything the seven mile beach offers but you can come back to peaceful rest. Settle into the soon come pace and smile.

There was a smell as if the room had been locked up fpr days, there was brown cloudy liquid in the toilet, lizards and ants inside the room, patch marks on bath tub, brown staina on tub, sheets with small brown stains, and more. The pictures advertised seem to be for a room that was renovated as what was seen was very different.

To start, I could not find this property based off of the address provided. I called 3 times a received very vague directions to “just come down the road”. Our room had all kinds of wild life from lizards to ants and mosquitos. I did not feel comfortable walking around barefoot or showering due to the condition of the room. There was no security and seemed to be a lot of men hanging around the property the which was concerning as a mother with 2 daughters on vacation. I definitely would’ve been more uncomfortable if I was alone. There is no food, amenities in the room besides soap and the refrigerator and microwave did not work. Also, when asked about the pool we were once again given vague information and told it was at the other property somewhere up the road. I would’ve been more comfortable saving my money and sleeping in the car.

I have been staying here each year for the last 7 or so times I'm in Negril for the annual Reggae Marathon. Checking in is easy, and the staff really works hard to help and make your stay enjoyable. The beach is lovely, and the area around the beach is extremely relaxing. It's a short walk to the square or a quick hop on the taxi for shopping with lots of fresh fruit selections.
It is great value for money!

Property was run down, my room TV didn’t work, no shower head. grounds had no beach chairs, umbrellas. Restaurant was not open, bar was not open on several days, when it did open, closed when they felt like it. No security. Anyone can walk in the property. When I arrived, was never asked for identification. The beat think about this resort was the maid Ms Sharmaine and the grounds keeper Mr. Melvin. Never again

The first thing we encountered was that the face basin was clogged, it took several days to be cleared, room was not cleaned because housekeeper did not have extra key, air conditioning was not cooling although was reported several times but we were not able to change room as they were fully booked. when it became unbearable, it was after 9pm we told security of the problem we were having with he air conditioning, we asked if he could contact the manager for a change of room since that day they had lots of checked out, he did not have telephone number to contacted the manager, as to what we were told that the manager does not like to give out her telephone number, hence, security was unable to contact her.

I go to Negril every year, and usually stay at different resorts. This is the first time I stayed here, and I would definitely stay again. It's right at the end of the beach towards the Craft Market, and it's very quiet which is unusual on the other parts of the beach. Wendy at the front desk is outstanding, as are the other girls! Carmen the housekeeper was also great. The place is very clean and you feel right at home. The room was pretty as well, our room faced the ocean and it was beautiful.

On arrival the reception was in accessible as the doors were closed and the was no receptionist available to check us in, the keys to our room was given to us by a young man by the name of Melvin, the restaurant and bar were closed with no access to drinking water or food. There was no one available to provide any information regarding any emergency issues. The room looked unclean with caked dirt in the corner, the sink taps were disgusting, the air condition leaked, at my request we were moved to another room, however this room was only marginally better. There was water on the floor which appeared to be from the toilet when flushed.
I would not recommend this property to anyone as a complete refurbishment is required to bring it up to a better standard, infection, prevention control does not appear to be a priority the management of this property.
I would appreciate a full refund as I am very disapointed.

It's a good value for the price. A bedside lamp is usually a given but not here 🙄 (I asked) nor did the light in the closet work. Beach towels non existant. Bar/restaurant staff aren't friendly ... would sit at the back of restaurant ignoring customers standing at the bar. I stayed here many years ago so was familiar with the place. It more than meets my needs.

But the tv was a boxy type from the 1990’s. toiletries are provided on the first day only; a small shampoo, soap and lotion. The fridge in room was a plus. The restaurant serves delicious food. But the restaurant staff could you some training on service. The Best part is that it is on the beach. The price was a value for being on the beach.

Overall my stay was good, just need to have the wifi improved and 2 waiters trained on their service .

Restaurant and bar service slow and not friendly. One other table of customers at restaurant and it took 10 min for waitress. Anothet 10 min for coffee Server ran out of coffee for third cup. Waited another 30 minutes wanted check no one came to the table. Time total almost an hr for two cups of coffee and two drops she put in the thurd cup before running out. Room service was not much better had three adults two kids. They gave us two towels and two glasses. When inquired about more they had to check if they had any extras from the hotel across the steet. Hours later we got two more towels. In the nean time we had to share our used towels.

I have been going to Jamaica for over 35 years. And I have stayed at probly 90% of the places in Negril. Coral seas on the beach is my favorite. Every single person that work there was absolutely amazing. The office people, the maids, the grounds keepers, the security, the bartenders, the chef, The servers Very nice people. I felt very very safe with security. And everything is so clean. I will definitely be going back to coral seas on the beach.

Love the location. Right on the beach. Close to the middle of all the action. Perfect for attending the Stepping High Ganga Fest down the beach! The room was just a square with 2 beds and a TV. Thank goodness for AC too. No mini fridge. No iron. The pillows were hard. When asked about an iron I was told that the hotel was full so no iron available right now. There was one sitting behind the front desk. I guess there’s only 1 on the entire property and it was booked out. I was told by a guest that mini fridges were available if I asked for one. I asked and was told that the because the hotel was full that none was available. Huh?? Oh, and not even a courtesy bottle of water was in the room. There was no gift shop either where I could easily buy some water or snacks.

The beach side restaurant served great Jamaican and American breakfast. Ackee and Saltfish with boiled ground provisions (green banana and yam), fried dumplings and blue mountain coffee ....plus that beautiful ocean can’t miss.

I think I’ll try different accommodations when next I visit Negril!

I have stayed at many budget hotels in Negril. Coral Seas is among my top 2 in the disappointment category. The staff are helpful and the food and drinks were good. But the rooms I had were not kept up well. My room was dirty (cigarette butts from previous guests on the window sill and porch). My room was also flooded out due to 2 leaks and staff were slow to respond. At least they changed my room. Crystal at the front desk and the Security guard were really helpful when the flood occured after normal business hours. That was a plus.

The locked on the door to enter was falling off the door. When we arrived, the AC was off and could not turn on although we tried with the remote. Finally, the outdated tv couldn’t change channels and the volume was stuck on loud and could not be lowered. When I contacted Travelocity about the issues cited above, the hotel attended to the matters immediately. Maintenance fixed the lock and AC and replaced the outdated tv with a flatscreen tv.

The location is what saved this booking. Gorgeous beach and not too busy. The property however needs updates, easy ones like new linens as all the towels and bedding were stained. The staff were either cranky or grudgingly helpful. I know Jamaica well and while there is laid back service and then there is outright rude. I'll not return no matter how inexpensive the deal.

This is a very basic hotel in Jamaica no extra frills. A place to shower and sleep is what I’d consider this. The lady at the front desk was constantly rude and the maid was a sweetie but there were 4 of us in our room and every single day they would only give us two towels after cleaning our room. After asking for a week for there to be 4 towels in the room I gave up and my husband and I shared a towel with one of our kids. Then I asked if they had an extra blanket and they laughed at me. We will stay there again because we know it’s just a place to sleep and shower and for the price I’m okay with that but seriously know that it is super basic

This was my second stay at Coral Seas Beach. It is a simple hotel with spacious rooms and verandas to hang out on. The beach is huge with lots of shade and since Coral Seas is the last hotel on the beach before town it seems there are less hustlers around. I would not call Coral Seas Beach a resort however since it is a smaller venue and there is not any water sports available. For the price this is a perfect place to chill out and enjoy the beach.

I spent 2 nights at this place the first night the bathroom was flooded from a water leak coming out of the wall and the toilet made terrible noise all night. I was just too tired to move to a different room. The second day we were moved to a different room. But that too had the stinking sewage water seeping out of the floor when we flushed the toilet. The smell was so bad I had to open the windows and doors. This Started happening at around 1-2 AM. We were not given a number to the front desk. So I decided to walk to the office to get some attention to the situation only to find the office locked and no one in sight. It was a nightmare. I am currently trying to get a refund for my horrors, however Expedia states they can’t get in touch with the Hotel with the phone number they have on file. So I continue to live this nightmare, still no closure yet.

I had a great time staying in this hotel. But one thing I didn’t like was the Wi-fi connection, it was not strong at all. It was kind of frustrating since I had to go on the internet for work updates. The restaurant/bar had delicious breakfast food and the restaurant staff was very helpful and nice. However, the front desk staff at the hotel looked kind of miserable like they weren’t happy to help guests with anything. The housekeepers were nice and friendly. Overall I would stay here again but hopefully the Wi-Fi can be stronger next time.

The good stuff: beautiful location, polite & friendly staff, lots of potential!

The bad: faucets leaking- sometimes on the floor, poor quality & shortage of bath and beach towels, poor wifi and internet connection, old TVs, no pool, very slow service which costs them money on drink orders, no additional services like snorkel equipment, etc.

Needs an infusion of cash to bring up the quality. Lots of potential!

My room was not ready until 5:40 pm. I gave my number for the receptionist to call when ready, this was not done.
I reported the fridge not working and nothing was done to correct or replace it.
I went for breakfast and waited over a hour and a half.
