Terrible parking set up and hidden fees. They charge you $33 dollars on top of your room to park in the parking deck that you have to circle the block. Free parking is on the street. The room was so basic and old for almost $200 a night, no fridge and you have to use your key to use the elevator so when your hands are full better get that key ready. Staff was fine it’s not their fault the set up was outdated and inconvenient they just work there.

The carpet in the room wasn't very clean. Our coffee maker had no basket to make coffee . Our Body wash container was empty. WE had to ask to get someone to clean our room.
The front desk girls were all excellent. We enjoyed the bottled water and cookies. The coffee shop was useful since we couldn't make our coffee in our room.

Exiting the hotel was confusing. Gate asked for hotel key card which we had turned in – like everyone else. Walked in to learn we just had to push the HELP button and they would let us out. Would’ve been nice to know!

My stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Orlando Downtown was a bit underwhelming overall. Upon arrival, there were no luggage trolleys available and no bell staff present to assist with bags, which made check in feel less welcoming than expected.

The hotel itself feels somewhat outdated, and getting there was more confusing than it should have been. GPS directions did not lead clearly to the entrance, which added some frustration at the start of the stay. While the property is centrally located in downtown Orlando, which is convenient if you want to be in the city center, the hotel does not offer much in terms of standout amenities or perks.

Additionally, the front desk service fell short of expectations. The staff member I interacted with was polite but not particularly warm or upbeat, especially compared to the level of hospitality I have experienced at other DoubleTree locations.

Overall, the stay was just okay, mainly convenient for location, but lacking in service, clarity, and overall experience.

Our visit was awesome. Every employee we interacted was polite, friendly and professional. Everyone greeted us with a smile and they went over and beyond - Did not encounter a sour person. Our reservation was for a handicap accessible and they were able to change to a roll in shower. Can't laud them enough. Room was large and comfortable.

This place isn’t worth it. Seriously go to another Hilton for a better experience. The toilet wouldn’t stop ghost flushing every 12 mins, the carpet had stains, the room isn’t worth it. You’re literally paying for the view and bed. Fixtures weren’t working, room was completely outdated. I could go on. I’ll stay at a different Hilton.

It was a decent hotel with a good breakfast and clean rooms. I stayed there for a convention( the ballroom was nice) since the downtown area isn’t my preference.

The only downside was the pool. It needed an urgent upgrade with plants and a vending machine.

Parking was expensive, but I suppose it’s downtown.

The last thing that bothered me was the loud flushing sound. It echoed through all the rooms next to, above, and below mine.

Parking is 35 dollars a day, unless you park on the street outside which is limited. We got our first rooms smelled terrible. It was very moldy. And we had to switch rooms. No fans in the bathroom. Hotels is pretty old. Our toilet dos not flush properly and it had a whistle sound when its filling up water after each flush which is funny but could be irritating for the other person if you get up late at night and use the restroom.

Very Disappointing Stay – Poor Cleanliness and Unprofessional Service

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. From the moment I arrived, the entire building smelled strongly like weed, which immediately created a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere.

When I got to my room, it was clear that cleanliness was a major issue. The room itself was dirty, and even worse, the bed sheets had clearly not been changed or properly cleaned before my arrival. I had to request fresh sheets and then wait over an hour for new bedding, which is completely unacceptable after checking into a hotel.

To make matters worse, the front desk staff were unpleasant, unprofessional, and not helpful when addressing these issues. Customer service goes a long way, especially when guests are already dealing with problems, and this team failed badly in that area.

Another major inconvenience was the fact that there was no microwave in the room, which made the stay even more frustrating and inconvenient.

This hotel honestly has potential, but it feels like it is being run by unprofessional management with little attention to cleanliness, guest comfort, or quality service. With better leadership, proper housekeeping standards, and staff training, this property could be much better.

I would not recommend staying here in its current condition until major improvements are made.

Staff couldn’t find the reservation at first. Had to go find a manager.

They did not do turndown service. When we asked about it they said they don’t unless requested. There was no notification of this whatsoever.

The room key is supposed to open the garage gates, but did not ever work. We told them each time, they re-scanned but still did not work. I feel they probably should have replaced the cards because we saw that others did work.

The garage elevator also did not work. Again, would have been nice to just have gotten a heads up and an apology.

Staff seems to know about the problems yet have no interest in doing what they can to make it right or easier.

The rooms need to be upgraded. Ceiling peelings. The remote control didn’t work properly. No microwave. The central air was not cooling. The doors were difficult to open and close. The room key was supposed to open the lever to enter and leave the parking lot but it didn’t work. I had to call for help each time and this included a $35/day fee for parking.

Charged for parking when I already paid in the hundreds for the room. No one told me I needed the card to get out of the garage when I checked out because they were all in the phone but just took my keys and said “you’re good” I then had to pay to get out of the garage. Which you will also charge me from the deposit. The bathroom was disgusting and the toilet had a leak. So your feet/socks got wet when you had to use the toilet. For the price, I would never recommend this hotel. Way nicer and updated hotels that don’t nickel and dime you for the same price.

We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The pictures online are extremely deceiving—the property is much more dated than what’s advertised.

When we arrived in our room, there was leftover food from a previous guest that looked like it had been sitting there for days. The room itself felt dark and uninviting, with no overhead lighting—only a few lamps, which didn’t provide nearly enough light.

The kitchen area was especially concerning. It looked like there had been a leak under the sink at some point, but instead of properly fixing it, the cabinet floor was left with visible water stains and what appeared to be mold. There was also a strong, unpleasant smell—we couldn’t tell if it was coming from the old food or the water damage, but either way, it made the stay uncomfortable.

Another issue was the AC unit. The switch was positioned low enough for our toddler to easily turn it on and off, which is a safety concern. On top of that, the thermostat didn’t seem to work properly. We tried adjusting the temperature multiple times—even setting it as high as 85—but the room stayed freezing cold. We ultimately had to turn the AC off completely just to feel somewhat comfortable.

While the lobby looked nice and updated, everything beyond that was a letdown. Overall, this hotel is in serious need of a major update. For the price you’re paying, it simply isn’t worth it. The experience felt more like staying in a slightly upgraded motel.

What a great stay. It was very peaceful and quiet. Clean. The bed was very comfortable had great sleep the entire time. Sadly can't get that at my home. If I ever come backnto Orlando I would def go back. The location was perfect close to downtown but just far enough to feel and escape. 1 mile difference from where all the action is going but perfect for me because it forces me to walk just a little bit.

We had two rooms. 2nd room couldn't provide heat, so moved to another room, which was dirty. Toilets way too low for a normal person. I was charged for a third room that I didn't authorise or ask for. Cost of food! $34 for fish & chips. $22 for a burger. $4.50 for a soda. The communication via telephone with the hotel and customer service left much to be desired. Will to use this hotel again.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price I paid and my status as a Hilton Honors member.
The parking garage felt very old, poorly maintained, and unsafe. Unfortunately, that same concern continued with the elevators. When I checked in and used the elevator to reach the 13th floor, it felt unreliable and concerning.
Upon entering room 1301, it was clear that cleanliness and attention to detail were lacking. The bed appeared to have been quickly made without proper cleaning. The bathroom was unacceptable—the tub had visible dirt, and there was hair around the toilet. Additionally, the box spring cover was partially hanging off, which made the room feel neglected. The windows were also extremely dirty, making it difficult to enjoy the view. Left side lamp had a completely broken lightbulb with wires handing out.
To make matters worse, the ice machine on the 13th floor was broken. When I tried calling the concierge, no one answered until I selected the care line. I was then told I would need to go to another floor for ice, as they do not deliver it.
Overall, this stay did not meet expectations in terms of cleanliness, maintenance, or service. It was particularly disappointing given the cost and my loyalty status.

Property is VERY worn. Carpet in the Oversized Room was thread bare at the doors. Very dated, no exhaust fan in the bathroom so it filled with steam. Elevators felt like they wouldn’t make it up the floors. Zero parking unless you paid for their parking garage or you parked on the street around the hotel. Ironing board I had to lean against the wall to keep from falling over.
This hotel does not deserve a 3 or 4 rating at all other than the staff was very nice.

My stay at the hotel started out great. No problems for several days. However, by the 5th night, I got terribly sick. I went downstairs to get some Imodium I had seen the day before, but there was none left. The girl at the front desk at 3 am did not have a key to replenish the stock. I can imagine I was not the only one who was sick. After having to spend the night in the hospital, the doctor said that I had contracted the norovirus most likely from the hotel, as I had not been anywhere else.
1. Norovirus - I had to go by ambulance to the hospital because I was severely dehydrated from this virus and felt as if I was going to faint. The symptoms were from 9 pm to 4 am. It was awful.
2. I was caring for my sister, who had surgery, and when I had to leave the hotel to go to the hospital, she called down to the front desk and asked for a room that she could use because our room should have been immediately quarantined. The housekeeper brought a spray bottle and handed it to her to clean. She had surgery just days before and that was not possible. They finally let her use another room to go to the bathroom. The housekeeper came around 12:30 to clean. I leave via ambulance at 4 am! That is not right. The hotel should have been more proactive in protecting my sister and the other guests. I had a very contagious virus. They were not helpful, and they saw me leave on a stretcher for goodness sakes.

Requested from Madison a receipt at end of trip and got told there would be no need to have a receipt as there were no charges. But I wanted a receipt to confirm such. Had to argue with her that it is my perogative to have a receipt...

No place to have breakfast after 10:00am as the restaurant closes. Another negative was parking costs more than $30.00 dollars. If they bring back the chocolate chip cookies that might help.
