My only suggestion would be to upgrade the breakfast options – a few more choices would make it perfect. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. Thanks for a great stay!

We booked a junior suite for myself and my daughter specifically because there was a bedroom and in the living area, a pull out couch. We wanted our separate spaces. When we arrived the pull our couch didn't have any bedding. I went to the front desk to ask for some and was told we couldn't use the pull out couch. We were also not comfortable with the area so we ended up leaving the hotel within the first hour and staying elsewhere. This room was paid in advance so we lost the entire cost for our stay. It is our fault for picking the location but the hotel shouldn't advertise a pull out couch if they won't let you use it. That is on them.

Large shower head in 202 sprayed everywhere. Might want to check it out. Noisy at night and from above rooms. Those were only negatives.
Front desk staff were very friendly, helpful, and excellent at their job. Great breakfast for 8 euros. Good air conditioning and comfy beds. Very helpful booking taxi for the airport.

We loved our stay even though it was for only 2 nights we had an awesome view from our balcony of the acropolis at night. It was a bit of a walk to the metro but taxis are right across the street. I would definitely stay again.

I got a Nice comfort clean studio.the area is horrible to walk just around the hotel in the night might look dodgy ,full of drugs abusers and prostitutes day and night smell of pissing in the corner, but it’s okay they are harmless ,it’s close to the city center like 15-20 min walking
I don’t think you get mugged.
location is very good waking distance to tourist attractions

After 10pm they shut the entrance door so if u come back you need to call them to open the door for your..what if you don’t have a phone ? Visitors are not allowed !!!he embarrassed me in front of my friend and did not allow him to enter my room.plus I had massage therapist appointment to come to the hotel to relax as I walked all day he turns them away and didn’t let them in....
not recommended this hotel.
I stayed there 28 days alone in my room no visitors are allowed....Voilà
that’s why I have to change the hotel to another. I would never stay at the this hotel again just because of there dishonest behaviors and finally the housekeeping every 3-4 days didn’t really clean well dust all over .....etc

Staff were helpfull from check in to check out. They all spoke english and were happy to share the local knowledge. The front desk is open 24 hours so no standing around at night waiting for a night porter. The hotel looked great and I was impressed as I walked into the lobby which looked clean and welcoming. Quality bottled water and sanitising gel were ready on the kitchen table. The entire apartment was clean and comfortable and everything worked as it should. The location is ideal as coffee shops, takeaways, bars and a supermarket are 1 minutes walk in every direction. Omonia metro station is a 10 minute walk. Only drawback is some noise otherwise this accommodation couldn't be better.

I received a very warm welcome from Katalina... Who also helped me with my ferry reservations. The room was very clean and met all of my needs. It was within walking distance of all of the major attractions, so I did not Use taxi or metro except when arriving from the airport and going to Piraeus for the ferry. Many good places to eat within a few blocks. I felt totally comfortable walking in the neighborhood after dark… Absolutely no problems

rooms was more or less ok, not a nice neighborhood, dishonest personnel. my friend visited me for 20 minutes to collect his birthday present, beside registration (which is fine) they charged him a big fee, half a night just to access the floor. it was so embarrassing. i asked for explanation, they say it's hotel policy. a totally invented policy, since i didn't sign any acceptance for that, and it's written nowhere. she just made up a charge and did not even want to release a receipt until i insisted. i had paid for a double room, and the difference between single and double occupancy is few euro per night, so even if my friend had stayed for the night he should have paid 10 times less. such a dishonest behavior of personnel doesn't really pushes you to go there again

Nice, clean and convenient Athens hotel.

The Athens Comfort Hotel was a very pleasant stay for us. The place was everything we needed; a refrig, a small sink and stove, a/c, good firm bed, quiet room towards the back, small elevator, friendly service/desk, easy check-in/check-out, about 9min walk to Larissa station, 5min walk to Bazzar supermarket, small clean bathroom, and reasonably price. There was also a very nice bakery across the street from the Bazzar S/M with lots of delicious sweets and fresh bread. The hotel even had a complimentary water for us. We would stay here again.

Have you ever seen those movies where the character drives on a winding small road through a beautiful landscape blessed by the sun. The road passes through a small villages, goes around an old church and ends up though a small passage at a gem of a villa with an amazing view over a large valley nested between the mountains, with a peek at the see that can be seen somewhere not so far. Have you ever wished that you could have a vacation at that villa?
This is exactly this kind of place. You would wish your vacation would last longer. The villa is recently build and, as the owner mentioned that he build it for himself, you will see that reflected in the care taken for every detail. You have all the amenities that you could wish for (cooking, washer, dishwasher), a grill outside the house and a patio where you can rest at the end of the day. A porch in front of the house will let you savor your coffee in the morning, while admiring the gorgeous landscape. If your search brought you this place, don't hesitate and book it. You will love it!

This hotel is relatively new. Cab driver said 2 years old. The desk service was great. The reservation said a balcony with a city view. There were 2 balconies. One looked into a dilapidated apartment building across the street and the other looked into an apartment building and another hotel. The street noise and noise from other rooms was quite loud. The price was good. The location of the hotel is terrible and gave us a bad first impression of Athens. The desk clerk told us it was about a 30 minute walk to the Plaka district where the bulk of the attractions are. He neglected to tell us we would be walking through the slum area of the city. There were lots of drug users and drunks along the street. They did not give us any trouble but it was a little unsettling. The hotel arranged the ride to the airport with the local cab company. The car was a Mercedes. The driver was at times doing 140 - 160 kph and talking and texting. I probably never will be going back to Athens but if I did I wouldn’t be staying at this hotel just because of the location.

Excellent Value Near Athens City Center

Located a 10 minute walk form Omonia Metro station, about an hour away from the airport. The area around the apartments is a little rundown, but quaint and quite safe really. There are also many cafes, restaurants and convenience stores in the area.

My 1 bedroom apartment on a high floor had a little balcony overlooking the street and the Athens Novotel hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the apartment was kept spotlessly clean by the daily housekeeping.

My apartment was modern and fresh, with a little kitchenette with electric hotplates, fridge, jug and the necessary utensils and crockery. Tea, coffee and bottled water were provided. The living area had a comfortable sofa and a large wall-mounted LED TV, and the bedroom had a similar TV, comfortable king bed, and a safe in the wardrobe. The bathroom was modern, with excellent shower and lots of of hot water. There was excellent free wifi throughout, and also a modern air-conditioner, and the apartment was very quiet.

Everything worked as it should, and I couldn't have asked for more, especially with the very reasonable price. I would certainly stay in these apartments again, and would recommend them highly.

Very good value - take a taxi to get there

We were fully satisfied with everything except the area a few blocks south of the hotel in the direction of Omonia square, where there appears to be an open air drug market/homeless encampment (hotel staff could be more proactive in warning guests about this). Fine to stay here but take a taxi at night. Women who are alone will be aggressively leered at by multiple groups of non-Greek young men in the neighborhood.

Property is nice. Staff is good. Not everything/ all appliances work in the rooms... ie door latches, outlets... but the staff does their best to accommodate.

It is very loud in this neighborhood. And with no A/C, it is hot and the doors to the balcony must remain open. It is very loud here. Loud people/ neighbors and street/ loud music from bars, loud traffic. It is loud until around 2am

Nice place with decent service. Neighborhood was extremely sketchy. Witnessed a man smoking crack, piles of human feces and urine everywhere. Not an area I would recommend while visiting Athens. Bedroom was located directly across from a bar/lounge that played loud music until 3am. Room was spacious, and reasonably clean.

Be careful on up charges!

We almost got mugged right in front of the hotel as we unloaded our car! Be very careful in this area, even though it is so close to the city center. Also, the manager there was very mean. We paid for 10 adults to stay at the hotel and we had 1 extra kid (4yrs old) and he didn’t wanted to let us keep our kid in the room. My sister booked this hotel and accidentally listed 1 person staying when it was actually her and her husband. They tried to upcharge her for the extra person even though the rate for 1 & 2 people are the same online!!! I would never go back to this hotel based on how we were treated!

Do not stay here. The people who run this place are looking for every chance to make a few extra bucks so they will come up with reasons to charge you more; they don’t care how this might spoil your trip or experience. Customer service/satisfaction is not their priority. Something went wrong with our booking for 2 and it ended up showing up as a queen or king bed for 1 person not 2. They insisted on charging us 20€ more per night even though when we searched online for the same hotel, the price difference was minimal if any for 1 vs 2 people for the same room (mind you, breakfast is not an inclusion so it shouldn’t even matter how many people are in the room as long as it is within the allowable limits). And the price we paid was already much more than the price we found that day for a room for 2. They still wanted more money. This was our first day in Athens and it made us so upset that we decided to book another hotel instead. On principle, we refuse to support a business that finds any way possible to cheat you of more money. If you’re looking for a smooth experience where people treat you kindly and respectfully, don’t stay here.

Bad neighborhood. Waaaaaaaay too much noise.

I had a few days between a business trip in in Turkey, so I figured I would travel to Athens for a day. While I was walking from the train station to the hotel, two guys started following me. As a black person, I was obviously not from the area. They kept walking past me then slowing down, so I turned into a convenience store so they would go away. I took off my backpack and realized it was half unzipped and that they had stolen my battery pack. That being said, the neighborhood is really sketchy and loud. On top of the noisy people in the surrounding area, the walls were thin and I could hear every conversation, cough, foot step and chair drag across the floor. Additionally, the elevator was loud. The only thing I could see out of my window was a concrete column and clutter on the balconies of the people across the street (see picture).

Very good value for money, the novotel is straight across the st but double the price.
They let us check in early which was fantastic as we were very tired from our long flights. Room was clean and tidy and quiet. Within walking distance to metro and we walked to the square also. Taxis right outside for going further or just handy if you don't want to walk the streets at night. We really not enjoyed our stay as it wasn't so overrun with tourist in that area.

Pillow was dirty, however, the clerk at the front desk gave us another one.
That one was smelly, I put a clean t-shirt on top of the pillow so we can have a good sleep.

This was our second stay at the hotel, since last year. We arrived very early and were given a room after a quick cleaning. This was great since we were had taken the express bus from Volos at 4:30 am and needed to rest for an extra hour and then wash up for are day. The beds and pillows were great, clean bathroom and the kitchenet was nice too have. Disappointed that they don’t have the handy cellphone anymore.

Put it this way: I'm going back for sure. Large suite with sofa and cooking facilities (who h I didn't use .. except to make coffee). Very helpful staff, (insider's guide to Athens) good bed but the best bit was the bathroom...shower wouldn't be out of place in an expensive 5 star place. Walking distance to main train station and 4-5 stops to Acropolis and heart of Athens. Great value!

Originally surprised at the surprise of the front desk person to my news that I was going upstairs to my “Junior Suite” to prepare my dinner, I soon realised the cause of his reaction when I began cooking. It is a juggling act with pot and pan that do not fit on the “Junior” hotplates and the “Junior” sized work area makes culinary creation difficult. That aside, the small or “Junior” apartmentette was quite comfortable, with good aircon and generally clean (I do wish the southern Europeans would give sinks a good seeing to with an antiseptic and abrasive cleaning agent occasionally, however).
Speaking of which, Omonoia metro station was my choice for transport. It was a 15 min walk but in the morning it was cool enough and you have to savour the texture of the city, yes? Athens Comfort Suites is sort of in the immediate Northern burbs. Other transport is available at the door almost.
The front desk people were eager to please with directions and suggestions. Their English is good, notwithstanding that slight pregnant pause after you speak as they process your accent (mine caused a slightly longer gap before response), and they are friendly.
It was value-for-money with one of Hotels.com’s putative “deals”.

The Apartments themself are very nice, spacious, clean and modern. Very good quality for money! However the neighbourhood is horrible with drug addicts and stuff. If you decide to stay here plan your entrerance and exit routes carefully. Not family friendly neighbourhood!

The area is awful. We saw many hookers and a guy injecting drugs on the sidewalk...
The guys at the lobby where nice and helpful.

Initially we were given one bed instead of two for me and my son . It wasn't convenient at all. After two nights staying they changed our room for one with two beds. Staff was very nice trying accommodate our needs. Area around not the best but we were told its safe and haven't had any bad experience. Room is clean. Very nice and and cheap mini market behind the corner with host from Bulgaria.

Has all the basics you need is nice and modern and well maintained. It is close to major attractions but is in quite a rough area so would not recommend if you are planning to walk to get to Acropolis etc.

Family Reunion

Very clean hotel and were able to accommodate my large family that needed EIGHT rooms! The only downside was it's not walking distance to the main attractions, but you can easily get a taxi to bring you wherever you need to go.

Felt blind sighted by the positive reviews left previously. The only positive side of the situation Was that we got upgraded to a superior room from junior room. However, the room was not clean; there were sewage problems with fruit flies throughout the entire unit and the dining/kitchen seemed like it was not cleaned. The bedding had dirty streaks on it. However, the room was very spacious. The area is not safe for tourists according to a local police officer that we spoke to at the metro station, especially at night, even though the front desk argues that it is. I would not recommend roaming around in that area unless you are taking the taxi. I did not feel safe walking out to dinner in the area, and ended up getting delivery to the hotel for dinner. The night before our check-out, the front desk told us that they have arranged a taxi for our leave, but was yet to be done the morning we left and told us to flag our own taxi on the street. However, the taxis on the street were all full and is very difficult to flag one down. I would recommend other tourists to stay in a more tourist area for safety reasons.

Great accommodations - Not ideal location

The hotel condition was very clean and comfortable with every suite offering a sitting area and small kitchenette in addition to a bedroom and bathroom. The location of the hotel was not ideal because it wasn't centrally located near either of the two metro stations, which can be tricky when towing luggage on foot. The hotel staff was friendly, accommodating, and very personable in nature giving great suggestions for enjoying places to eat, visit, and explore.

This is an excellent location to be near the train station. We could easily walk there even with our luggage. Our suite was comfortable, clean, and seemed newly remodeled. The man at the front desk, Vyous, was very helpful with directions to the station and suggesting an excellent restaurant.

Comfortable and modern hotel.

This hotel is a gem. The rooms are mini-apartments, but they're very comfortable, modern, and well designed. The reception is small, but the hotel staff was friendly and recommended great local restaurants in the area. Overall, great place.

Comfortable and clean. Surrounding neighborhood is unpleasant, but fortunately there is a metro station only a few minutes away that conveniently takes you to the centre of Athens.

PERFECT place to stay in Athens!!

The hotel was AMAZING!! The staff was fantastic! Extremely attentive. Could not have been better! The hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel. The room was HUGE! Loved everything about it! The hotel across the street was 3 times the price and wasn’t nearly as wonderful!
