Not a clean room . Bugs everywhere . Bathroom is oddly designed with an impossible design feature that you literally chance to be a contortionist to get into the shower . Staff is not that friendly and neighborhood is as alot to be desired . The only good thing is the location. It is overpriced by any amount you pay . There are other choices around the \" Omonnia\" metra station \" that you can stay at this cleaner and more safer .

Unfortunately, my parents' stay at this hotel was very disappointing due to a severe bed bug issue. My parents’ room was infested, and my dad was bitten several times. They were moved to a different room, but sadly, it also had bed bugs.

This experience was extremely distressing, and it’s unacceptable for any hotel to have such a widespread pest problem. I truly hope management takes this seriously and brings in professional pest control immediately to resolve the issue.

For the price it was a good option but the room was tiny with no real amenities and there was one elevator that fit two people. The front desk were friendly and they cleaned the room each day. If you need somewhere cheap relatively close to Athens, it's not a bad option for a few days.

As a young woman traveling alone, I felt extremely unsafe and unsettled at this hotel and the surrounding areas. Immediately upon entering the hotel the smell of cigarettes was potent, and the cleanliness and aesthetic of the hotel left much to be desired. Once I got to my room, the cigarette smell was even stronger than the lobby. I intentionally booked a non-smoking room, and the ashtray provided in the room made it clear that smoking was not only allowed, but encouraged. I informed the front desk staff that I would need to switch rooms to which they told me they always told guests to smoke on the balconies and not inside the rooms, as if that would make a difference for the smell. They gave me a new room and there was absolutely no difference in smell.

I debated sticking it out as it was only a two night stay, but the smell isn’t where my discomfort ended. As a female solo-traveller, you can imagine how it felt to walk back into the lobby only to be stared at by four grown men, who had stopped their conversation to look at me as I passed through. And on my way out to get some fresh air, I was informed by the desk clerk that it was hotel policy to leave my one and only room key at the desk each time I left the hotel

‼️ BED BUGS!! ‼️

Do NOT stay here!! Terrible service!!!

This hotel has a bed bug infestation and cockroach’s in the room. We found out within 2 hours of getting into the room, so luckily we didn’t get any infection on us.

The front desk guy was nice and let us change room from 401 to 505, but then we found the second room has even worse bed bugs in the mattress.

We left the hotel immediately at 2am even though we booked for 4 nights. When we asked the hotel for a refund, they said we have to go through Expedia. But then they just refused to give us the refund through Expedia and offers no apologies. Even though they are completely at fault and we didn’t stay there at all.

Very disappointing terrible experience!

See the photo for proofs of bed bugs. There’s one big adult one that I killed, and also many traces of them in the mattress.

The room had everything in it that I needed for an overnight stay, including a fridge. However, the hotel has clearly seen better days. The showers base was badly cracked, the basin tap dripped continually and there were notches cut out of the bathroom door to allow it to open without hitting the toilet! The pillows were rock hard, and the guy on reception seemed fed up. All that said, it was a hood price and prefect for getting to the airport by train. (€9!)

Budget hotel in the center of Athens near many of the tourist attractions. Walkable to some and near metro or tourist bus for others. Room was small but clean. Small elevator available.

Surrounding area looked a bit run-down, but we didn't have any problems (unlike the tourist we met who was staying at a fancier hotel near a major square and stated that she saw drug users on the street near her hotel). Room was somewhat noisy, but to be expected on the 2nd floor of a city center hotel in a big city.

Staff were not especially helpful. When we couldn't get the AC to work one night, desk clerk had no suggestions, did not offer to take a look at it, or call anyone. We did finally get it working again. Since we were there in the middle of a heat wave, this would have been a bigger deal if we hadn't managed to get it going again. Overall, acceptable hotel for the money to be close to the center of Athens.

While the hotel and staff were good. The area around the hotel is...well rough. The rooms are loud especially if next to the elevator. The hotel is fine, but not good for kids. My son was so afraid they we had to book another hotel. There was some lady screaming, someone tried to open our door. I would recommend for people use to big city, and noises. But avoid id solo or with kids.

I had made this booking because I needed to spend a night in Athens before continuing on next morning by Train. It is walking distance from Omonia metro station. The area is rundown. I arrived at 1pm (solo female), had no problems with anyone on the street, and left at 6 pm ish. I had a good 5 hour sleep. The hotel itself is budget but customer service was fine. A bit noisy. The shower was a curtained off portion. I would use the hotel when passing through for a couple of hours, not for a longer stay.

Management was super nice and the location is great, about a 10min walk from Larissis station, plus it's incredibly close to both a laundromat and there are cheap restaurants everywhere. The rooms were pretty solid, shower was hot, ac was quiet and worked very well, we even had a balcony with a table and chairs. Only issue was even though it was a non-smoking room it still smelled slightly like tobacco smoke but it wasn't overwhelming, and you could here traffic just a little bit. All in all would recommend a stay, but the smoke is overwhelming and pretty disgusting. You shouldn’t let others who are killing themselves by smoking, kill other guest who don’t smoke 🚭

The only reason I didn't give a perfect rating is because the shower area is just too small, with a short plastic curtain surrounding the area which means water splashing out into the bathroom floor! Otherwise, I really liked the place (great AC and WiFi), especially the location! It's a short walk to Athen's center, Acropolis, Metro, and everything you want! For short stays, Pergamos is a very reasonable place to stay at!

In a very bad area with graffiti, stripped motorbikes, drug users and general shady looking people! Bathroom was comical in size as door couldn’t shut without banging against toilet seat, shower nearly could fit in! Had to plug in the fridge myself and no adjustments so froze my insulin!

Get what you pay for and surprises

I wasn’t prepared to have to leave my physical key at the front desk whenever I left. But nothing was stolen and the desk was manned 24/7. Bathroom pictures are deceiving. You are literally standing on the toilet and wrapped in the shower curtain when showering. But for the price it is what it is. The bed so comfortable I wanted to keep it. And it had an ok-ish working AC.

A really pleasant surprise

Having in mind this is a 2-star hotel that I booked just for a layover in Athens, I really didn't expect anything special, so everything I actually found, surprised me nicely.
1. A clean, spacious and well maintained room. Even kind of stylish, as photos show. OK, single beds, but clean and comfortable enough.
2. A very friendly service
3. A decent breakfast included in the price
4. Perfect WiFi - better than my probably 10 hotels of quite higher category around the world.
5. Convenient location - less than 10 minute walk from Omonia square and from there - by metro, minutes away from the city centre and many of the top sights in Athens.

Night staff and cleaners are extremely rude, and the cleaners speak no english so its extremely difficult to communicate with them if you need anything. One of the night staff in particular, an older man, his behaviour was disgusting, the way he was speaking to us and shouting at us when we arrived at 2am, and he told us our room was cancelled and nearly kicked us out of the hotel whilst they had charged us in full for the 3 nights. Rooms are quite outdated and old, breakfast is not worth paying for to be honest, as there are barely anything there and also juice taste like water, but you get what you pay for i guess. If your on a budget and don't mind staying in a rough area of Athens, then this is OK, otherwise if staying with kids especially i would not recommend this hotel at all.
having said this, 2 of the guys in reception during the day were quite friendly and went out of their way to make things comfortable for us, bringing us pillows to our rooms, as their pillows are like sleeping on stones. would not return as there are better hotels in safer areas of Athens, which we figured out afterwards unfortunately.

Check-in was seamless and the hotel was easy-to-find; Juliet balcony was nice to have even if it only looked over other apartments; 2 European-standard twin beds set up strangely in a small room... we couldn't open the closet fully. The bathroom was VERY small - VERY. Like in a camper van! Wifi was inconsistent on the 6th floor, though there were also several electric/thunderstorms that passed through; may also have been many users. Continental breakfast was standard with European-style foodstuffs and beverages. Also, the elevator is 3-person... fitting 2 people and luggage was a laugh.

Hotel was really cheap so wasn't expecting anything spectacular. For the price it was fine. Room was ok, although the bathroom was very small and initially had a bit of an old cigarette smell. Breakfast basic but again ok. Location north of the center but not a bad walk. For less than £40 per night all good.

I have no idea how the staff received good reviews for friendliness and helpfulness.. maybe after they finished yelling at you or scolding you like a child, and you did what they wanted you to do would they even say hello, welcome or say thanks... and that came from both receptionists and the breakfast lady. All we received was rudeness from the moment we came in the door until the time we checked out. And the room was so small, they crammed too much furniture in it and it smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke, when we woke up, we smelled as if we bathed in a ashes and smoke... and the shower is so tiny, even my slim wife could not shower properly....the breakfast served cereal with warm milk, tea with warm water, watered down orange juice (I think it was orange juice) and oily ham with bread and old cake... the best part was the hard boiled eggs... The hotel was so bad I wanted to check out early even though we were trying to rest before a road trip. The neighborhood was fine... as it looked like the rest of Athens... getting ready to fall apart that is... and the distance to the main attractions wasn't that bad.. uber was about 4€.. walk was about 18 -20 mins.

This is a budget hotel with nothing worth mentioning. The triple room we booked was relatively good enough and thr beds were fine. The overall impression is bad though because of lack of cleanliness and very small bathroom. The breakfast was uneatable (same poor things every morning). If you can choose another hotel, do it.

Hotel is okay. Rooms are tiny. Bathrooms are tinier. Showers are so tiny you can't really shower--barely big enough to stand in. No way not to get water all over the floor. First room I had, the toilet was immediately in front of the sink. I had to bend over just to squeeze around. The balcony they advertise is small and looks over a dirty city street. The woman in the woman was friendly. The guy late at night acted put upon when you came in to get your key.

You CANNOT get to this hotel without walking through a zone of prostitutes. Very seedy area. Though I did not see any prostitutes working in this particular hotel, they are all over.

The AC worked at night, but was hard pressed in the early morning once the sun rose.

The wifi is less than useless. If you need wifi do not stay here.

The only hotel I've been in where they did not offer yogurt for breakfast. The breakfast offered was boiled eggs, some very dried breads, not healthy looking fruit salad, and some cereal. The orange juice was gross.

The bed was the only thing that seemed confortable in this hotel : the room is really small and the shower/bathroom in general is ever smaller. Thankfully, we didn't need to stay at the hotel since there's a bunch of stuff to do in Athens.

During our stay, we noted that there were bugs in the shower area and that they were doing repairs on one day, so we didn't have electricity or hot water during that time. The breakfast that was included tasted funny (if not horrible), the wifi is close to terrible and the shower head isn't fixed properly.

However, the personnel is really kind and is attentive to the needs of their client (for example, if you need an electric adaptor for your cellphone, you can ask at the counter and they will let you borrow it during your stay).

If you want some info about Athens, I highly recommend you pick up the map of Athens at the airport (City Link) as it will show you all the cool stuff to do, USE THE METRO AT THE AIRPORT IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF MONEY IN THE LONG RUN and if you want to stay at this hotel, keep in mind that it gets the job done and is cheap.

Very good hotel,room was clean but not very big,perfect for a couple,bathroom small but clean,towels were provided. Soap was provided,but no shower gel or shampoo. Maid service was done every day which was much appreciated. Breakfast was good, there was bread,ham and cheese,butter,jam and boiled eggs. There was also milk that could be used for cornflakes,coffee,tea and juice. All in all,great stay! Friendly staff,good wifi! Neighbourhood was not the greatest,as it was full of immigrants,but very near,5min of omonia square.

It is a pretty centralized location, roughly 10 minute walk from the museum, and about 20-30 minutes from Monastiraki Square and the Acropolis. Just be aware that it's in a slightly shady area so if you're coming back late at night it's best to get a taxi.

Hotel was not in the best neighborhood- too far to walk to any of the attractions. The room is very small, the bathroom was too small- barely could shower. However, the staff were very nice and helpful and made the stay better for us!

In first I check in 00:10 23rd July. The room was not same in hotelsome website. The desk information very bad person there. The breakfast was bad really . Nothing serious from customer support. For that it's last time to made the booking with you . Also I will tell all my friend's about the bad services.

Positively surprised!

Even though the surrounding neighbourd isn't the nicest during the night in Athens, the Pergamos Hotel is a safe spot, very nice and pleasant. We've payed 35€ for a double room thinking we wouldn't get much? but once we got there, the staff were really nice and attentive towards us. They've showed us where to go, where to avoid, which places were nice, to pay attention in the subway and in some places. This was very kind of them! Once we got into the room, it was a nice double room with TV, AC, wifi, a bathroom, small, but that's not a problem at all. The bed was great, everything was clean and the shower had hot water. The breakfast is good too, with a nice amount of options for somethig that is free. After we checked out, they allowed us to store our luggages. From the moment we've arrived till our departure, the staff was really polite and attentive. I would definitely stay here again.

Surprised about room and hotel's low quality considering the 'discounted' rate I booked under. Tiny, dark room. One of the pictures posted. Only stayed for one day. Also, the tv didn't work.

Nice little hotel

Well decorated and maintained, made the most out of quite little space. Staff are friendly and free breakfast is adequate - basic continental but more options than expected for free! Close (10 minute walk) to metro with easy access to acropolis, so a great location for those just using it as a Base. If you prefer to stay near the hotel area though, Omonia is not the nicest - a bit run down, had no issues but doesn't feel as safe and less going on. On the whole though would definitely recommend.

Close to the city centre, but a little weak.

In the hotel we slept 3 nights. Great service very helpful. Rooms quite large, but the bathroom very small. Obese guests may have a problem. Breakfast is bread, canned ham, cheese and cornflakes. For this juice, filtered water and coffee / tea. Very close to Omonia Square, subway. On the roof terrace with a magnificent view of acropol and Lycabettus hill.

The room was very clean. Fresh towels and linens, also the bed was made everyday. Wi-fi in the room worked wonderfully. The shower space is very small, but both the temperature and pressure of the shower were completely decent.

They are Friendly Ants

Fun Style budget hotel with FRIENDLY Staff! Uncomfortable Beds, Very Inconvenient Toilet/Shower, Biggest issue was this response \"They Are Friendly. Sorry We do not have another room. How about a Free Drink\" When we noticed our room had a severe ant problem in the bathroom which was spreading into the bed area. Recommend Passing.

The rooms are small, but it would probably be better than a hostel. The neighborhood is a little rough. Staff is AMAZING, though, and super helpful and friendly.

The area is really run down. The hotel staff were awesome. The rooms were clean. Could hear everyone in the rooms around you. The rooms were extreamly small deff not comfortable for 2 people. Good rooms for single and small people. Bathrooms were way to small and shower you were able to move.
