Great amenities and kind staff. A few language barriers with the cleaning staff and a few of the service areas. On property food and drinks were fantastic. Beautiful views from most locations. Recommend eating at the golf club once on the patio. The spa staff on point for all items. The workout facilities had all the latest equipment.

Beautiful hotel, terrible service. The F&B team and overall service standards were shockingly poor and completely undermined what should have been a great stay. We’d seen other reviews mentioning the same issues and regret ignoring them. Nearly a year on, the hotel still isn’t up to St. Regis standards. Not worth the premium price.

I had high expectations for The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, especially given how new the property is and the price point, which is very much in line with what you’d pay for a luxury hotel in New York. The hotel itself is stunning. The design is modern and elegant, everything feels brand new, and the setting in Cap Cana is beautiful. Rooms are spacious, well thought out, and exactly what you would expect from a St. Regis in terms of aesthetics. The beach area and pools are also very well done.

Where the experience really falls short is the service — and unfortunately, at this price level, that’s what matters most. Service across the hotel felt inconsistent and, at times, surprisingly poor. Simple requests would take too long or require multiple follow-ups. There was a general lack of attention to detail and proactiveness that you would normally expect from a brand like St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. It often felt like the staff was either undertrained or not aligned with the level of service the hotel is trying to position itself at. Dining was another mixed experience. The food quality was decent, but service in restaurants was slow and sometimes disorganized, which made meals feel more frustrating than enjoyable.To be clear, this is not a bad hotel — far from it. The physical product is fantastic. But when you are charging top-tier luxury prices, guests expect top-tier service, and right now there’s a clear gap between the two.

As Marriott brand loyalists we were severely disappointed in our recent stay at St.Regis Cap Cana. As a family we travel to multiple luxury hotels under this brand such as Ritz Carlton, St.Regis and JW Marriott per year so we are very familiar with the brand. I became alarmed prior to arrival given the lack of response or delayed response from the concierge via email. Upon check it this became even more concerning…. No warm welcome, no welcome drink etc, Through our stay the lack of service only grew. Out first dinner on property we were told our table wasn’t ready when the restaurant was almost empty then when seated I alerted them of a gluten allergy and they asked what gluten was, then when I explained the server asked what wheat was. The breakfast food was always cold and lacking variety. Had we not prepaid it we would not have returned. We quickly shifted the remained of our lunch and dinner reservations off property at Eden Roc which was more up to par. We had a butler with our room type. This wasn’t like any butler we had had at other properties. We had to ask multiple times for simple requests like towels and ice. The customer service is just severely lacking at this resort. We have never encountered this before especially a St.Regis. It truly felt like we were a bother to the staff other than the St.Regis bar staff that went above and beyond. This is such a shame given it’s such a beautiful property. I feel like I let my family down with selecting this property.

Beautiful new hotel and grounds..Everything was wonderful other than the food which was average considering the price. Breakfast was really good but with 28 % automatically added to the bill it was $58
There is butler service for every room but it was hit and miss.

I’m currently on my flight back home from my trip and honestly was very sad to leave today. I had a wonderful stay at the St. Regis Cap Cana- stayed from 1/19-1/23/26. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and the staff is truly wonderful - they are truly courteous and attentive. I know some reviews mentioned the lack of hot water in the shower but that issue seems to be fixed - there was plenty of hot water and the water pressure is great. I would say the only thing I think they would could improve on is more food options/restaurants. I especially loved Nina and Marola and was disappointed with dinner at Cassava. I had lunch by the pool everyday and they were great but again, more food options would be a good idea. I loved the St. Regis Bar - it’s more than drinks, they have such attention to detail and the drinks are so inventive and delicious. Overall it was a very relaxing trip and I would absolutely return.

Completely lacking gluten free options for people with celiac. It was very important for us and we specifically chose St. Regis hoping they would be able to accommodate. Unfortunately, for a hotel chain this big and upscale it is very disappointing.

Gorgeous hotel (specially bar and Amber room), unfortunately not ready to open yet. Personal at reception, cleaning service, breakfast and butler service is not properly train.

First and last day there was no water at the room (I have to shower with bottle water) after it came back, it was brown in color.

They are not the ones to blame for the sargassum, but the beach was impossible to get in due to this issue, as well as the unberable smell... it SHOULD be at least mention the days prior to our arrival or give something complementary to the guest to do at the hotel.

Hope they can solve all of these.

Brand new hotel with a lot of potential, the hotel is the most beautiful I’ve seen in Dominican, the staff really give the extra mile to take good care of you. Is new and there are some things that are still missing: no pizza in any of the restaurants, staff is still a little bit fresh and learning how to navigate around but thise things are going to improve with time.
Loved that they bring you a cooler with water when in the pool or beach, also during the afternoon they bring non alcoholic drinks and

Beautiful property and layout. Brand new hotel, Hardly any other guest. Wished we were placed in a better room - It was overlooking a partial parking lot for golfers, we did have ocean view & it was beautiful. Pools and staff excellent. Prices are outrageous at the restaurants & food was not good. $10 for a coconut water then fruit plate & tax & tip equals $67. I asked for papaya, I was charged for a full fruit plate. Breakfast is $50/person. No Uber eats allowed. Go to Jumbo, you can get fruits etc to take back. Dinner first night for 3 was $212. John, Aissette & Junior were amazing! Friendly, courteous and extremely helpful to us. Made our stay welcoming and worth it! Book excursions- it’s worth it. Unfortunately there’s a seaweed issue on beach but the clean it every morning.

The staff requires enhanced training in quality customer service and retention strategies, emphasizing immediate resolution of issues rather than just apologies. The shower hose was installed incorrectly, rendering it non-functional, and there’s no towel hook outside the shower. Several electrical outlets are not working. Gardeners should operate earlier to avoid disturbing guests on their balconies. To improve efficiency and reduce errors due to language barriers, the hotel should implement an in-room dining app on iPads instead of relying on WhatsApp for orders. Restaurant staff must promptly clean spills and pay closer attention to details, rather than repeatedly ignoring them. The hotel is breathtaking, but it must employ competent, capable staff. The Dominican Republic’s reputation for subpar customer service and quality demands that business owners prioritize excellence to protect their brand. Skimping on this is unacceptable for a property of this caliber. While there are additional concerns, I’ll stop here. Acknowledging the hotel’s recent opening, there’s still significant room for improvement.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in (and I've stayed at many hotels). Obviously this is a brand new hotel and you can tell. Everything is sparkling new. Everything has been so well thought out. The attention to detail is just insane. Check in was a little slow but we were offered beautiful drinks and a cool towel which was a nice touch. The staff were so kind and sweet with my 2 year old boy - playing with him and giving him attention. The room was stunning (we were upgraded). The views - breathtaking. Then our butler arrived. They offered us coffees throughout and waters. Butler service was good but can be improved and refined. A few times we waited longer than needed for our drinks. I'm sure with time, they will improve this service that they offer. Hotel facilities are divine. Dining is pricey but amazing. Be prepared to spend a lot of money to eat at this hotel (if you come to PC you know eating out is expensive anyway!). The spa treatment was very expensive but worth every penny. I would have used the spa for longer. Their relaxation area is amazing and the nibbles they provided were gorgeous. One of the best treatments I've ever had. For $195 I would expect nothing less! I would 100% return - if they don't raise their prices too much (which they most likely will and so they should!) Check out was also too slow.
They are still working on their processes but apart from that I highly recommend.

La habitación y las instalaciones del hotel son espectaculares, el personal super amable! Solo los baños de mi habitación tenían un ligero olor a caño de repente el cual mi butler muy amable trataba de solucionar pero creo que es poner más filtros o tapones en los WC, lal playa es hermosa pero el último día nos tocó una montaña de sargazo, el spa es muy bueno y el masaje súper rico, mi única queja es que a los precios de por sí ya elevados les ponen un sobre costo de 18% por impuesto más 10% de propina y adicional te piden que dejes más propina lo cual se vuelve inviable y los más afectados son los trabajadores que hacen su labor impecable…
