The beach was not used by any guest. The seaweed was so bad that it wasn't usable. Despite the fact that the formal policy is no tipping all staff expected a tip. Also despite the policy of not needing a reservation at restaurants each one asked if we had reservations. Our concierge never asked if we wanted him to make reservations anywhere. We felt pressure to upgrade our room while checking in. The food was very bland and nothing stood out as good. The room, bathroom and pool were beautiful but that is the only good thing I would say about it. I won't be returning.

Una falta de respeto total, invadieron nuestra privacidad constantemente tocando la puerta, encima de eso para la categoría que tenían nuestra habitación que era 25 28 prefer todo estaba espantoso , no respetaron mis sueños resulta ser que tocaba en la habitación constantemente para estar molestando incluso dejé el cartel de privacidad en la puerta, y no respetaron eso y constantemente empezaron a tocar la puerta, encima de eso la comida pésima muy repetitivamente el mismo menú jamás en mi vida volvería a estar en un hotel como ese me arrepiento y me siento como cliente afectado jugado psicológicamente con mi dinero y mi economía en haber invertido un dinero para relajarme en mis vacaciones y lo menos que hice fue relajarme les voy a dejar la foto del personal de la carpeta el último que nos atendió fue muy grosero muy poco Cortés muy homofóbico le pedí de favor que me buscara un taxi ya que yo no sabía cómo se manipulaba el protocolo del Hotel y me dijo vulgarmente que ese no era su trabajo y siguió constantemente siempre está la atención, me dijo encima de eso que debía $135 dólares y al final lo que debíamos eran 8 dólares, jamás en la vida les recomiendo a nadie que pueda leer esto este Hotel si le diera una clasificación le diera una estrella , las bebidas no tienen variedades hasta un cierto límite cinco de la tarde no tienen calidad de bebidas ni variedades de comida tampoco en el snack en fin una falta de respeto total la habitación el aire acondicionado es 0

Secrets Cap Cana is such s beautiful resort. I would like to thank all of the workers who with a beautiful smile did a wonderful job making our stay an exceptional and pleasant experience. A big shout out to our concierge, Jourdain, who went above and beyond to meet our needs and then some. Loved our Bali. We really appreciated all his attentions. Maria at the pool and in the evenings, so happy and energetic making sure everyone was having fun. Roadin who served us at the beach, was sweet and fun to talk to. Eddie “Murphy” at the french restaurant gave us exceptional service also fun to chat with. Really everyone at this hotel deserves praise. We want to go back!!!

Secrets, Cap Cana, was a kept secret for us, LOL! First time there and what a pleasant surprise. The resort besides being beautiful, is just the right size for me (not too big but not that small either- no extreme walks to get to the pool area, breakfast area, etc.) The room was super spotless. The staff was extremely helpful (they went out of their way to help/guide, etc.), very courteous and cheerful as well. No complaints about the food, plentiful and great tasting at the buffet as well as the different restaurants. Great seafood place for lunch, tried the Hibachi, French and seafood for dinner and they did not disappoint! Wow! Definitely coming back here more often!

We stayed at Secrets Cap Cana in a swim-out room. While we did receive a swim-out as booked, the initial room was clearly older, and the swim-out area was dark, cold, and very secluded. For us, it was essentially unusable — not the relaxing experience we expected or paid for.

We raised the issue early and even offered to pay to move to a different room, but unfortunately, we weren’t relocated until day 3 of our 5-day stay, which was disappointing given the short length of the trip.

That said, once we were moved, everything changed — and for the better. The new swim-out room was bright, open, and overlooked the main pool area, with bar service directly to our patio. It was sunny, lively, and exactly what we had envisioned from the start. There was no upcharge for the new room, and we truly appreciated that.

Overall, the service throughout the resort was excellent, aside from the room delay. Food and drinks were good, and both the pool and beach areas were outstanding — beautiful, well-maintained, and enjoyable.

Bottom line: Secrets Cap Cana is a fantastic resort with great amenities and service, but room location and condition matter. If you’re booking a swim-out, I’d strongly recommend confirming which section you’re in to avoid a similar experience. Once we were in the right room, the stay was absolutely worth it.

Everything was great! Hector, the trainer at the local fitness center, taught me more Caribbean Spanish and gave great advice on lifting.

The resort offers a wide variety of food options—Japanese, French, Italian, and more. This is the best all-inclusive resort I’ve been to.

The tours, especially scuba diving and Scape Park at Cap Cana, are highly recommended. The resort feels very safe, and I’ve never seen water so blue.

The beach is expansive, clean, and absolutely beautiful.

We stayed in the preferred section in a bungalow suite. Everything was fantastic. The preferred area at the beach had a lot of space between chairs and was easy to get chairs. I cannot say enough about how amazing the people who work there are! Jesus at breakfast, Angela and Morris on the beach always made sure we had everything we needed. But there was one person who went above and beyond…our butler Ricardo. He treated us like family and took care of everything! We ended up having to visit the hospital, and he went with us and stayed there the whole time…until early morning! He even arranged for the most yummy grilled chicken to be delivered to our room at 2:30am when we got back (kudos to the chef…it was delicious). We always felt safe and well taken care of at the resort! We will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed at the resort for 7 nights. Everything was clean, the room was spacious, the service was excellent, and the food was awesome. We had a minor issue with the hot water, but the hotel addressed it quickly. Unlike other great resorts nearby, Secrets has huts on the beach, which I personally prefer over umbrellas.

The only downside—something the resort cannot control—was the sargassum. We did not expect it in December, but it was present. It wasn’t significant, but it did make the ocean less appealing for swimming.

However, if you’re a pool person, the pools are fantastic! If we can find a time of year with minimal sargassum, we will definitely return,

We went for our honeymoon! The grounds are gorgeous, the room is very comfortable and clean and we had a great view of the beach. I love that housekeeping comes twice a day! The service is great, they truly don't want you to lift a finger. Our butler, Ricardo, was fantastic! So attentive and left us several sweet surprises for our honeymoon in the room. We did the preferred club and recommend it. It gives you access to a quieter pool and beach. They are only a few things they could work on. Service can be a little slow at the Seaside Grill/Oceana and the main pool. Food is mostly good, but not fantastic. The large shower is nice, but water tends to pool outside the door and is a slipping hazard (as we learned the hard way). There aren't too many options for entertainment at night, so it's great if you are looking for a chill vibe, but it's definitely not a party resort.
Overall, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and we would definitely go again! I've been home telling everyone how amazing our honeymoon was!

Beautiful property. Biggest negative was the muddy murky ocean and seaweed that washes ashore. You are able to see the beautiful blue water beyond the barrier but the water you swim in is horrible. The staff was wonderful, friendly and always happy. The \"butler\" that came with our room was not very present and didn't follow through with our requests for room service on the morning of my birthday. The resort was hosting a 700+ person convention with people trickling in during our stay. Luckily the majority and main event was happening after we left, they were a bit overwhelming. The property is large and somewhat difficult to find activities/events that are going on. The map on the app needs an update as it's very basic. First time at Secrets, loved the resort but probably won't return to this location based on the ocean conditions. Preferred option is worth every penny!

Room was kept spotless. Great room service. Great staff/servers by the pool during the day and on the beach. The servers are all so friendly, always smiling and happy, so happy to get whatever you need or want.

Beach had a lot of seed weed but not anyone's fault. Just mother nature.

Bars/restaurants very well equipped with whatever you wanted.

Once again, I have been to many all inclusive and non and the staff at this resort were incredibly happy and wanting and willing to help and get you whatever you wanted. I was extremely impressed. I should have taken some names down because there definitely a few that needed to be mentions and pointed out to how hard they work and want to make the guests happy.

We would like to start by giving a big shoutout to DJ “Cepillín.” From day one, he was the only one consistently making sure our group was taken care of—helping us with seats, drinks, and recommendations on the best things to do. His energy and professionalism truly stood out and made our stay more enjoyable.

That said, there are areas that need improvement. Even though we had a concierge assigned, it often felt like we were guiding the process instead of being assisted. We upgraded two out of three rooms for our group of six, but the service did not reflect that upgrade. The champagne and snacks that were part of the package were requested several times and only delivered on the last day. One bathroom had two showers, one broken and never fixed despite reporting it, and in another room the A/C was too high and nothing was done about it. At checkout, our concierge asked us what time to pick up luggage, but it was never arranged, causing the airport driver to wait 30 minutes while we rushed to leave.

The entertainment team overall—including the DJ, dancers, and bartenders—was fantastic, always making sure guests had fun. Food was good overall, though one night at the Italian restaurant the bread had ants, which was disappointing.

This property has great potential, but service and follow-through need work. With better attention to detail, this could easily be an outstanding experience.

We enjoyed the stay. 1. The food is good. A lot of seafood, everything delicious and fresh. The hotel has 1 main buffet and 5 different restaurants. The best restaurants are Italian, French , Mexican. No need reservations.
2. The service on the very high level. Everyone try to help you and make you laugh. When you just arrive from airport you will be welcomed with glass of champagne. The best experience . 3. Just recommendation from us , if you want to swim in ocean go there between December and March . Otherwise the beach will be in seaweed. Which is also doesn’t bother if you’re not on beach. They have a beautiful pools where you can enjoy your vacation.

Exceptional customer service, they are always attentive to everything. The cleanliness is excellent—there’s not a single spot that looks dirty. The food is exquisite! However, if you enjoy nightlife and a bit of partying, you won’t find it here. They don’t have a nightclub, about 70% of the guests are middle-aged or elders, and the music is mostly ambient. If you’re looking for peace and tranquility, this is the perfect place, but if you want a bit of everything, maybe not.

This was hands-down, the most amazing service and experience we have ever had. The staff is exceptionally kind and hospitable, attentive to detail, and go above and beyond in every way. We have stayed in many luxury hotels and at highly rated resorts, and this surpassed everyone of those experiences. We have never felt so personally cared for on vacation before! The views from your room are beautiful and so is the beach, there was a seaweed problem in the ocean water sadly but with the pools, the great weather and views it really wasn’t too much of a problem. The rooms, pools, restaurants, bars, spa, and lobby are seriously top notch, very clean and built beautifully. The worst part was leaving at the end!
