It was worth the price, pool side rooms were fantastic? Except high steps not suggested for the elderly, they are very accommodating if need lower steps from room to exit from room to pool… restaurants are not listed on directory, best to ask and get situated as dinner times get very busy, buffet is good choice too, less wait. rooms were clean, every staff I encountered was friendly and polite. I would visit again

I had a wonderful stay overall. The staff were amazing, hardworking, and made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my visit. I also loved the spa—the massage was fantastic! My only concern was the room's cleanliness. It could have used a deeper clean, as the curtains had some small but noticeable stains, and writing on the shower glass would reappear with steam, suggesting it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned with any chemical cleaners . Despite that, I had a great time and enjoyed my stay.

Just came back from one week family trip. First the positives:
Great entertainment did not even expect it! aqua fitness class with Chocolate was excellent! every night there is an elaborate and fun show!
Hard working staff!! they really try to make every guest happy :)
A lot of restaurants to choose from
Great Spa!
The whole hotel is s the staff is cleaning non-stop
The location is beautiful!
Jorge is an excellent concierge it's a great benefit with the Sun's club membership.
We had full sun for the whole week! the a/c was working great!
Now the negatives:
Before you go check if they have algae, we could not even swim in the ocean in front of hotel, from April to Aug there are really bad algae, the water is brown. This is not their fault but something to consider, we would not have gone there, had we known that. You had to drive like 1 hour away or take a boat ride to find blue water. My review would have been 5 stars if not for the algae.
Some advice:
DO BOOK a ROOM with SUNS CLUB benefits. (They do upgrade customers who book through Expedia for free). SUNS CLUB is very much worth it! 2 exclusive restaurants with great food and more perks.
DO BOOK on 2nd or higher flr, our ground floor room was very humid, they upgraded us after a few days.
Book building ONE if you can, it's quieter, the entertainment at night is loud.
Bring a lot of single $ for complimentary tips.
Best activity the Secret River (bring water shoes)
Bring lots of sunscreen and water shirts!

The food and drinks were very good, and there were plenty of activities and entertainment throughout the day. A great all-inclusive option for a relaxing vacation in Punta Cana, it’s not a luxury resort but it’s great for a short trip . 🌴🍹✨

This was my 6th trip to the DR and by far my worst experience. Let me begin by saying that we booked 6 rooms, 3 of which were supposed to be swim up rooms. When we went through our VIP check-in experience they gave us pool access rooms but after walking around the resort and not seeing swim up rooms we believed that the rooms we got were what they called swim up. 4 days into the vacation the kids found the swim up rooms on the backside of the building down qhat appeared to be an ally way. I went and spoke with the manager after the lady in VIP area argued with me. They then admitted they messed up, great, he had a room ready for 1 to move over later that evening. The other 2 wouldn't be available until after 3 the next day. With only 2 days left one room wanted to move and the other chose to stay put. The manger offered 6 massages as a im sorry gift- also great. I was also told by the Mgr that he was emailing to get me a refund for the difference in the room prices. Fast forward to check out day, no refund has been processed and nothing but a verbal from mgmt stating a refund would be issued. I go to check out and all they have is an NDA form stating they gave the massages to make up for the room difference, I refused to sign. Mgmt sends me an email Upon my request stating the terms of the refund. 2 weeks later after messages and emails with booking agent, booking agent issued a refund because the resort would not respond. Only bright spot was Emanuel our concierge.

The best thing about our experience was the bartender at our building Ruth. She was delightful, friendly and created an amazing atmosphere.

At check-in we were bamboozled by one of the managers, Stevens. He said we are being upgraded to VIP and do not need any reservations for any restaurant. Our room was not too appealing and less than expected for VIP. As we proceeded to the first restaurant we were told that is not true. We then were charged for our dinner which was insane. We were also charged for wine another night. This is the first time we were charged during an all inclusive trip.

The overall food was disappointing and mediocre at best. One of our family members was sick for 2 days after eating fish at the Mexican restaurant.

We came back to our room one evening to find water leaking through bathroom ceiling. We notified the front desk. After 45 minutes and multiple trips downstairs to the desk, we were finally moved to a different room. This room happened to be much nicer and possibly the real VIP side.

The overall staff was very pleasant but we could never get in touch with Stevens again. We were told multiple times he is not working today.

We will not return to this resort. We have had much better experiences at other resorts in DR.

The area and place is set up beautifully. Palm trees and white sands. The staff are really engaging...until you need something dire. Their safe malfunctioned in our room with my son's meds in it. We were told someone would be right up and wait in room. 6:10pm. After five visits to the front desk and three phone calls out night was done as they finally came at 10pm. Not cool.
The room shower leaked water under the wall into bedroom with each shower and nearly every light switch didn't do anything.
I don't know. Would I go back to Dominican Republic? Absolutely. Would I stay here? Nope.

The property is the dream vacation you expect. Our room was always clean in the timely matter. We thank Carmencita a lot, she even came in, lined up our shoes, organized our belongings and put them in front of us. We never felt like our belongings were unsecured. The staff of the resort was phenomenal, Yurke was the sweetest at the sunscape club pool bar, she went above and beyond to get us drinks, even if she didn’t have the item, she would find anything to make our drinks. Ariela at the kaleidoscope host stand always had a wonderful smile every time we came in. I don’t remember the name of the servers we had, but they even started remembering how we liked our coffee, our allergies, our seating preference, and it felt very personalized. Our vacation was long enough that within the first three days they learned everything by paying attention, and they provided an exceptional service. Nicholas at the Sharky bar was awesome. The ladies at the host stand at Tierra were awesome too. The entertainment was definitely 10 out of 10 except for the variety show night the dancers didn’t know what they were doing half of the time BUTA seeing how pissed the host was that night at the dancers was just super funny, I believe his name is Chocolate and we loved him. We would definitely come back!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana!! Make sure you speak a lil Spanish when you go to make ya stay a lil easier. They definitely have things going on throughout the day for entertainment. The food was ok the best being Chop Stix restaurant. As mentioned previously it was a lil difficult get a wash cloth from the staff because they didnt really understand what I was asking for. Also, when you place a call for service the staff kinda takes there time to make it to your room. Overall I enjoyed my stay at Sunscape Coco Punta Cana and will definitely be back again. Just and FYI they have free water sports on the resort towards the beach and can set you up for excursions as well thank me later!!

We stayed at Sunscape with our family of 5 (3 grown adult children) 5/18-5/25, 2026. The check-in process was a little slow since we were "sun club" which was due to our Family Suite rental. The space in the family suite was great with a bedroom with two double beds, and a king room and then the living room in the middle. The sofa is not a sleeper but they brought in a twin for us. As a family of 5 we loved the 3 full bathrooms too! Also loved the huge deck with the nice view! The pools are amazing on property. The main pool is where we spent most of our time because of the awesome activities team. We loved Gasolina and his team who put on great entertainment & games along with night time shows. The Monday night beach party was great! The main pool bar was always crowded and the staff weren't as friendly there, however Nicholas by the waterslide pool was great and his drinks were THE BEST! We also liked the bar by the pizza shop which has limited hours but there was never a line there and the drinks were good! The beach unfortunately had a lot of sargassum when we were there but they do try to clean it out as much as possible. We tried most of the restaurants during our week stay. The best was probably the Hibachi. We also liked the Sunny Side Grill and Tierra. We also had Tiki Taco and loved it the first time but for some reason the second time was not good. We didn't like the Italian restaurant at all sadly. The buffets are fine, breakfast is better at the SunClub Buffet.

The room was spacious.It could have used a little more useful furniture.Such as a dresser or a small chair, it did come with a table and two chairs.But no dresser, the bathroom was nice.Could have used a better shower door so that watered didn't get the floor wet. Disappointed in the beach, but we did go during the time.Where seaweed is bad. Maybe if they had a beach cleanup crew to remove all of the dead seaweed, it did smell pretty awful.

The hotel is ran down and not well kept in terms of cleanliness. A lot of the staff only speaks Spanish which is hard to communicate what’s wanted or needed when most do not understand you. I don’t expect them to be fluent but to atleast know the basics working in a hotel in a high tourist area. Our water didn’t work for about the first 2 days - the water pressure was SUPER LOW and didn’t warm up. I asked for cleaned towels and one of them had a HUGE brownish water stain on it. The drinks are ass, my favorite part was the food though. I also didn’t like DR as a whole as there’s entirely too much construction going on, takes away the beauty from the island.

The pool area where I was at was dirty every day, I couldn’t enjoy my walk out pool. It was kids in the pool every day making a mess and being loud, the beach was so dirty the water look orange. The resort is robbing people because everything I planned they told me one price and when I went to check out it was a different price. I had a dinner on the beach. They told me 110. I have it in a text message when I went to check out they charged me 170 talking about. I was supposed to use the coupon that they gave me but they never told me about the coupon when I was booking my dinner on the beach.Its robbery they find any way to get money out of you. Don’t waste your money. I will never stay at this resort again.

For the price it was a good little resort. Because we booked through Expedia, we were upgraded to the sun club , which gives you access to a quieter buffet, private pool and beach lounge area. That was really nice! Many bars can be seen throughout the resort. Wasn’t much area for dancing as the club was closed- but there is a bar with dancing which was fun!

Food was decent nothing extravagant, but enjoyed the coffee and breakfast the most. Seems some restaurants are open on certain days, so that’s something to be aware of.

Sand on the beach was nice but only downside was the seaweed which was pretty much scattered across the beach even in the sun club area- so that was a bummer. Otherwise it was a good resort and would still recommend.

The dining option was phenomenal the food was one of the highlights of my trip you have so many options to choose from. If you considering stay at. Sunscape resort i would definitely recommend you to booked the sun club you will definitely treated like a VIP. I want to make a big shoutout to JORGE from the sun club concierge he went above and beyond to make my vacation a great I recommend to definitely ask for Jorge to be your personal concierge he will treats you like a VIP ROSA from the beach bar was great as well . A special recognition to chef MICHEAL from the kaleidoscope restaurant for making some special meals, always have a smile on is face and welcoming you to the restaurant .Nicole the hostess at Kaleidoscope was amazing as well, The property is well kept and very clean, front desk team is super attentive as well always ready to assist you, The entertainment at night time is great and is very family oriented. The room I was in was a little outdated. When I asked to switch they moved me to another building with the same exact room only worse. They have a lot of food options which is good. The beach was decent but the water has so much seaweed that it’s uncomfortable to enjoy the water. The drinking water got me very sick. Only drink the bottle water and no ice. I’ve never been sick on vacation so it was disappointing.

This hotel was good enough for the price we paid. Property was clean, day and night entertainment were amazing, almost all staff member were helpfull. Food was ok sore of tough to get into the sit down restaurant, buffet was always available and snack were also good options.

The food was definitely not high quality but the presentation was well. We drank mostly bottled water and we were told that water from restaurants/bars was safe to drink but we had some stomach problems. The staff was great!! It’s all inclusive but we ended up having to pay for the nicer dinners and you have to reserve the Cabanas at $35/day but there is staff the brings you food and drinks so that was well worth it. There were so many guys that do not work with the hotel and they walk up and down the beach to try and sell you stuff, very annoying I wish the hotel staff would stop them from talking to you. DO NOT BOOK ANY EXCURSIONS/BOAT TRIPS WITH THE PEOPLE WALKING THE BEACH THAT DONT WORK WITH THE HOTEL, NOT SAFE AT ALL!!! If they cancel on you or you’re not on time for your trip they will not refund you. We paid for a high end private fishing charter and we went on a big boat but it was not nice and the people on the boat were intimidating and not safe. If you book any excursions book them through the hotel!!! I would definitely stay here again but I would not eat at the Buffett and only drink bottled water. SUN CLUB is totally worth it and sunnyside restaurant right on the beach had great breakfast and is served right to your table and was so good! Bring a lot of $1 dollar bills so you can tip all the staff!!

Booked with Expedia so check-in & check out was great, assigned a wonderful concierge named Emmanuel who used WhatsApp to communicate & stay on top of things for us. We were granted sun club privileges free thru Expedia which was nice. We only ate once at windows buffet & it was awful as far as breakfast choices, service & they ran out of plates! Most other restaurants were adequate. We found the language barrier quite high as a lot of staff didn't speak English. Music extremely loud at the pool & forget getting to the swim up bar as people parked there & stayed preventing others from getting up to order. Worst thing was our toilet leaked & wouldn't flush properly many times. They even gave us a new toilet & the problem still existed. Took 3 hours for them to respond to our pleas to fix it our last morning. Two out of three beds were comfortable. AC worked great. Safe in room was nice. Drinks at Sun Club were excellent but limited in choices. No elevators was a bummer as well so limited our room choice. Beach was nice. Free use of paddle boards & kayaks. Enjoyed the Latin Show at outdoor theatre. Cecelia was great at getting us dinner reservations. Pizza/hamburger place always had cold french fries sadly. Didn't particularly like having to brush teeth & make coffee with bottled water but they made sure you always had plenty of bottled water. Our deluxe suite didn't have privacy for shower so we had to hang up a sheet which is a major flaw!

We had the excellent private concierge service. Frailin Cordero provided great service by keeping in close contact with us and supporting us for restaurant reservation, answering our questions regarding the resort amenities and Punta Cana in general.

Beach was also awesome. Sea was clean and resort kept good maintenance by sweeping the weeds.

It was a large property with lots of bars, pools, and restaurants. We have been to many all inclusive in the last 20 years and unfortunately this was one of the worst. The staff was not overly friendly, the pools had lots of scum, bugs, and debris floating in them, our bedsheets had blood on them, our bathroom smelled like sewer, and our TV did not work for 3 days. However, our concierge Frailin was helpful and then Pedro at one of the bars was great. The food was mediocre but the beach was pretty nice. They also could have had more entertainment. All in all it was just ok for us.

The staff were amazing, friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. They truly made our stay so much more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a great experience.

One small suggestion would be to add more seafood options to the menu.

A special thank you to Anabelis, Chocolate, Coca-Cola, Gasolina, and of course all the beautiful ladies on the team, including the servers, housekeeping, and every staff member who made this trip unforgettable. Thank you all for the wonderful memories!

All food was great. Fresh fruits and salads. Staff made you feel very welcome.
Our concierge Emmanuel went above and beyond. He checked on us several times a day to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was truly paradise. Venillia and Elvin at the beach tended to our every need from food to drinks to making sure we had shade at the cabana.

Our conceirge Emmanuel was fanatstic!! Such an amazing person and made a horrible experience into a somewhat tolerable one. The room smelt musty & of mold when we first arrived, the corners, windows, and mirrors in the room weren’t properly cleaned and there was dirt piled into the crevices and corners. When we requested things like robes and waters since we were sun club they never came, the robes never made it to our room, and the waters we had to personally go down to the desk and ask. Im not sure if they use proper sanitary equipment and procedures as my friend and I were both sick nearly the whole time, along with many other guests. The resort is family friendly but the beach vendors are soooo pushy.

The Sunscape Coco was an affordable option that offers upgrades. We booked the Sunclub option because we reserved a room with a private swim up pool. This is the fourth resort and 7th trip to the DR. Buffets consisted of typical resort food, there were plenty of options and the food was good, no complaints. Much of the lobby furniture, was broken; couches are already low and sag further.
Room was beautiful and seemed recently improved. It was open concept, no dressers or drawers but the closet was spacious. No full length mirror, just the bathroom mirror. Private swim out pool was lovely, warm and clean. Lots of bars available but often understaffed and had to wait for ice.
Overall we had a positive experience at Sunscape Coco but we have learned some resort travel tips and here are some observations:
Upgrade/fix furniture in large common areas
Softer beach towels (the bath towels were great),
Increase bar staff during peak hours and make sure ice is available,
Full length mirror in the room,
Clean the light fixtures in the buffets; they were full of dead bugs
Bracelets/wristbands to delineate different packages,
Staff were friendly but seemed unsure of disinterested in their positions; not a lot of customer service,
Entertainment or music in the lobby during the evening.
Again, we have traveled to AI resorts before and these are just some things we've learned and noticed along the way. We figured out a lot of info on our own and were happy to do that.

The check in staff was nice and had great customer servie. The Kaleidoscope restaurant had horrbile customer service. Most of the time I had to go find my own drink. The bartenders at the beach were not very friendly either. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful.

My mom treated me for my birthday to this resort.
This resort has plenty potential. However, they need to make some adjustments. The room was not cleaned properly. There were garbage in a corner from the previous guests. The bathroom wouldn't flush properly you could hear the water running and have to wait to flush. No hand soap in the bathroom. No iron or ironing board in room. We came back from an excursion famished around 5pm, went to the buffet and they were closed until 6. All the restaurants on the property were closed. We were not given a guide so we had no idea. I was there for my birthday and trying to make a reservation for their Japanese restaurant was pure hell. We had to wait until the day of at 5pm to make a reservation for each day. I was out, thankfully I met a solo traveler who was able to make the reservation for me.
The food is just OK overall. Nothing to write home about. The BEST part of my stay was the staff!!! Very attentive, nice and courteous. Honestly I spent more money in tips then anything else😊. Would I stay there again , most likely not. But because of the staff I might....

Awesome room, super clean and updated. Great views. The beach was beautiful, the pools were amazing. The staff were EXCELLENT. Everyone was so friendly, our Expedia agent was especially helpful as well as the front desk people. Great food as well and the shows were awesome.
