the room was very spacious and always clean thanks to house keeping the staff was super friendly we had the pleasure of always seeing stevens our concierge and luis at our bar they were always extremely helpful and super nice. the resort had a lot to do we were always busy many different restaurants to try and the food was super tasteful. overall super fun experience.

Overall underwhelming. The beach and pools had people packed in like sardines and you had to claim a chair at 6 in the morning to ensure you had one. Food was bland. I only gave it two stars because the staff was great. Otherwise it would have been one star.

Only cons- room could have been cleaned better and towels are hard to replenish as the resort is quite large with a lot of people and if you don’t request beach towels early, you won’t be able to get one. Same goes for dinner reservations. Long wait times unless you are able to reserve early

I liked my trip overall. Short staffed with bar service which is most noticeable at the swim up bar, the rest was better. Great vibes, tons of pool selection with great beach front. Our stay was great and staff (especially our concierge Jorge) were excellent to deal with. Rooms were clean and private. Only issues were with the very small lip at the base of the shower which caused water to flood onto the bathroom floor easily. Also the toilet seats would not stay up in the ope position when in use.

The room smelt very strong of mold and was extremely damp. The food was horrible, many bugs and fly’s around the food until you swarm them off.

Upon check in.. I asked if we needed to make a reservation for a specific restaurant, we knew the restaurant itself was an additional charge, they had a digital menu to choose from with the prices. Dinner for two would average about $50. (Super reasonable for steak).

The front desk said “that menu is not available, fixed menu and $90 for both of you, you pay right now or charge to the room, and it’s only steak or lobster and unsure of what sides they would be serving”

We ended up walking to the restaurant to check it out.. and the host said.. “its not possible to make reservations and it’s not a fixed menu and it’s not $90, prices are on the menu based on what you want”… same restaurant..

Anyways, called the guy that booked it for us and he said “ok I cancel for you”… I don’t even understand what he was booking and he just wrote on a piece of paper $90.00 “reservation” and had me sign.

Anyways won’t be returning, mostly because of the room mold smell/dampness and the food was below average even for an all inclusive. They purposely act like they can’t fully understand you to try and get away with making money on extras.

Staff was friendly and very hard working but many details were missed/ not clear/incorrect.
Information should be clearly given (map, schedule of activites, menus and times)
Rules should be reinforced such as reserving lounge chairs that were not used for most of the day.
Rooms should be ready and deep cleaned. My room lock was not working and i found a cockroach in it. The staff made me walk back and forth instead of dealing it with it.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana was a very pleasant surprise in ‘almost’ every way. Our ONLY complaint was the check in. We arrived an hour early so we did the check in process they told us to come back at 3:00 to get our key. At 3:00, there were 20 to 30 people in the room, passports were all over every available desk space and it seemed like chaos. We had to wait over an hour until I finally pressed someone to confirm our room was ready and to find our key. This didn’t leave us feeling very optimistic for our two-night stay. OK…that was the bad. Now I want to say that with that one exception, this resort surprised us in every way. We prefer adults only. If the resort had an adults only section, we would go back to this place for certain. We never had the opportunity to try any specialty restaurants but the buffet was fabulous for every meal, the pools were wonderful and the beach was like every other resort. The room was beautiful, was kept very clean, nice shower plus a Jacuzzi tub. If they had an adults section, we would definitely return.

I would not recommend this resort. We have been to 7 other all inclusives in Punta Cana and I have never left a review. We stayed in the sunclub-not worth the upgrade in my opinion. The restaurants take HOURS to get into if you can get in at all. Certain restaurants are only open Thurs-Sat. If you are there for a week it’s important to get into them. The hostess at these restaurants are extremely rude. I have never been to a resort with such rude staff. In the morning it is impossible to get coffee or drinks. After the first day we realized we needed to bring bottled water to breakfast or we would just not have a drink. On our 2nd day the resort ran out of certain alcohol. Count not even get a margarita at the pool. Mimosas were impossible to find. Things I have never experienced on vacation. Lunch was a nightmare. Everyday the beach grill ran out of food. After waiting in the extremely long line just to be told there were out of 1 thing or another -30 mins after opening. All in all I would not recommend nor will we ever go back.

Too many people for the facility, constant battle to find beach or pool chairs. Poor restaurant logistics- lines to get in, but empty tables once in. No bookings available in the app, but then empty tables. Paid for SunClub experience, but not enforcement of exclusive areas. Over-charged for late checkout. Nightly entertainment was good, room was good.

The whole experience was just not up to par.
When we( myself and my flight attendant )first arrived and stood in line for who knows how long, as we finally get to the check-in desk we were told we are at the wrong place for checking in cuz we are “VIP” status. (That only meant you were given a “golden” paper key and as I found out later they tried to sucker ya into attending a 90 min. sales pitch/session as to why you need to buy a time share with Hyatt.) After getting check in we walked back to check on the status of our luggage only to find out it would be about an hour or so for bell staff to deliver our bags to our rooms! We told them heck no and found our luggage among all the other bags, grabbed them and headed to our rooms.
The rooms were just so so as my room the a/c wasn’t working properly. Upon entering the room it was fridged cold which felt good at first but then went to turn the temp. up but nothing happened, so turned the a/c fan from MED. to LOW which I discovered later did NOT work and the unit stopped working all together. So either you were freezing or you got so warm you could sleep! First night was miserable, to say the least!
Maintenance was contacted but nothing was done as the control switches were unavailable so put up with the on/off of the ac.
Early morning around 4:50am that same very morning was woken up by a loud voice over the loudspeaker in the hall, informing everyone to immediately evacuate their rooms due to the building, being unsafe.

First, booked two rooms, gave one and waited hours for the second room. Rooms pretty rundown, towel rack broken, balcony door broken. One room, 3 out of last 4 days no hot water. They also somehow booked our two rooms to someone else as middle of the night someone came in and the other room key stopped working. Went down to front desk and staffs were not apologetics. We have the right to be upset!.
A la carte restaurants food not as bad as the buffet. As the staff, not as attentive, no cups no water and no utensils most of the time. Only complaint on A la carte is Sunny Side staff, maybe because booked last timeslot and we were rushed. Took my wife plate when she's not finish. I would say most staffs friendly but not all. Room housekeeping did pretty good job making the bed and changing towels.
Last, the beach sea weed sea weed everywhere and I mean a lot when staff used a dozer to clean the sea weed but did not do a good job.
Over all, I would not recommended this resort to friend or family. We can say worst staying in any on Caribbean Island.

This property was very clean, had excellent restaurants, and good sized, but you don’t have to walk a mile anywhere, pretty centralized.
The spa was very good.
Waterslides were under-whelming and no where near the main pool.
Wait staff-not good at all. Bartenders had zero ambition and half the time no regard for requests (like no milk in a drink, etc), it was almost impossible to flag down staff in the Buffett for coffee or anything needed.
Prepare for 20 min. To check in when you arrive, and another 15-20 min when leaving.

Concierge, Housekeeping, maintenance, and the app were horrible. They gave us the lower tier room at first. Trying to get anything on the App was a nightmare. Took over 5 hrs to get towels. Customer service with the concierge was subpar. Otherwise the resort was easy to walk around and al la cart restaurants were the best food options. Beach was average with lots of boats in front.

I didn’t like the service; it was too slow. By the time I finished my meal, no one had come to serve me water or coffee. I often had to ask for service. The menu was too basic, and they should offer more options. Additionally, the restaurants should assign specific nights for guests, as waking up at 9 AM and trying to see what’s available is not an easy task. Also, someone the furniture in the buffet spots are extremely dirty.
