We had a good time, food was perfect for our taste, very good chefs. We love all the activities around the pool and the Dominican night. Maria, Theo and Galan are always in good spirits and willing to give their best to make sure you have fun
The beach was very nice considering they have to clean the algae that comes to shore. We definitely recommend this hotel.
We saw a lot of construction in the surroundings , so for now just stay at the hotel

Los empleados del Serenade hicieron nuestra estadía excepcionalmente buena. María de entretenimiento, Omy del pool bar, Rafael el Somalier, Adonis el mesero, Domingo del Tepanyaki Ramon de recepción y Luis y Jesus del Lobby Bar son empleados excelentes que dan la milla extra en hacer que uno se sienta bien atendido. Las instalaciones estan muy limpias, el cuarto es muy cómodo y lo limpian a diario.

The property looks nice and the beach is pretty. However service was really bad. We were given VIP check in and a butler. We’re not really sure why. The VIP check in just made the check in take longer. 4 other family members that went were checked in much faster at the desk. The Butler was an absolute joke. He did literally nothing for us. Didn’t make any dining reservations. Nothing. After day 3 he stopped responding to us altogether. Day 2 we were on the patio and the door handle dropped down and locked us out. It was a swimup so we couldn’t just walk around. We flagged down a passing security guard and explained what was going on. He got in his phone and made a call. Nobody came. We texted my sister in the next building and she called the front desk. Nobody came. Finally my brother in law found a housekeeper who came and got us. We were out there for over an hour. Our last day housekeeping never came to our room. Asked in the app for them to come. We got a notification it was done. It was not. The day before we left we requested help with our luggage and the morning we left I called down to confirm. They never showed up.
Hostess at LaPalapa was downright nasty when we asked to be seated for the evening entertainment. Reservations were almost always full then when we went to the restaurant it was less than half full. The food was mid at best for the most part. We will not be returning.

Our stay at the Serenade was absolutely amazing. We stayed in the Adults Only Suite and it provided us with all of the privacy and romance we could ask for. The resort was very clean and modern. Room was extremely spacious and amenities were great! Our room package included a private butler, to help with dinner reservations, entertainment, and literally anything you need to make your stay more exciting and comfortable. We also had elite member benefits that included free bottle service and a private balcony with jacuzzi. I had 1 complaint it would probably be the buffet food which is being extremely picky. But the don't have good concepts of American food. Culturally they make very food, and all the dine out spots were amazing. A special Thanks to Christian (our butler), Jesus (bartender main lobby). And Eduardo (poolside bartender) whom were amazing gracious in their service to us.

We recently enjoyed a week long stay to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. During our stay, we also celebrated my husband’s birthday. Our butler, Joan, was very kind to make special arrangements for his big day. There were a few minor issues during our check in which caused our children to be reassigned a room farther away from ours but it all worked out. There were some issues with the kids door lock and my sister-in-law’s tv went out in her room that took quite some time to get the attention for replacement. All in all, we enjoyed stay at Serenade, including a couples massage at the Spa. We were a party of six with three rooms reserved. This was mine and my husband’s second visit to the resort; however it was everyone else’s first visit to the resort and the island. Our children have said it was their best vacation ever. Many special thanks to Joan and all of the staff at Serenade. We had an absolutely wonderful family vacation.

Very very clean property.
The food was horrible. But for the most part the staff inside the restaurants, buffet, and beach was very accommodating!
But I didn’t like how if ur sitting on balcony enjoying the view Housekeeping would walk right into your room without notification after room has already been cleaned just to ask if I needed towels. This happens twice I was on balcony I turn around and housekeeping was n my room. It really freaked me out as I was staying in resort by myself.

Before traveling, I asked if they have transportation from the hotel and was told no. Now that the trip is over I was told that they have a transportation company. Upon arrival, the staff were very nice. Once we got our rooms they gave me a room with one bed even though it was requested for two beds. They then switched the room to two beds but the room smelled of mildew, it was hard to breathe. After explaining, the manager Melvin upgraded our room to a pool/ocean view with a double bed. I scheduled excursions for 7 am two days back to back and wasn’t able to reserve dinner because they accept them at 8 am. I called the hotel to reserve a reservation and after saying they don’t reserve over the phone, the worker told me he booked a reservation at one of the restaurants. After going to my reservation we were turned away because they never reserved it. After complaining they were able to get us a revelation at the Steak House. There were many issues with the rooms and rules of the hotel that many guests dealt with. However, after complaining the staff is accommodating and tries to work with the guests. Would recommend the family side as it appears more lively and active. The rooms are also better and more up-kept. The food here is really good, that saved my trip.

The property is beautiful and well maintained,The elevator was very hot,no air conditioning and no air conditioning in the hallways, the lights in the hallway goes off and on when you walk down, Most of the staff is very rude and if you don’t speak their language they look at you crazy,The food is horrible and the soda is flat, My lock box on my door broke and it took them two days to come fix it,after I complained… The water went cold and I couldn’t shower until it was hot,You have to brush your teeth with bottled water because the water stinks… The excursions was not worth the money and time spent, the horse was not clean and wouldn’t corporate and the buggies were a waste,no mud and they tell you to slow down.. So unfortunately I would not stay there again..

From the moment we arrived we received 10/10 service and our stay was AMAZING!! The staff is so warm & welcoming, a lot of them even remembered my name during our stay. The property is kept extremely clean at all times. Our room/view was beautiful! All of the restaurants on the resort were included and the food was so delicious. I don’t think we had anything that we didn’t like, the ocean buffet was probably our most favorite (breakfast, lunch and dinner) We did room service and that was also sooo good! The beach was just a quick 2 minute walk from our room and was also beautiful. The pools, swim up bar, oh man the drinks were all 10/10!!!! I could go on and on but this resort deserves to be in the top 5 of resorts! This was our first time in DR to celebrate my best friend’s bday & our experience here created such an amazing memory for us! We will definitely be back to stay here again!

I had high hopes for this property. Check in was smooth, but they wanted to try and up sale you on Elite package. I refused to have the demonstration. Long travel day. Property seemed very clean. The downfall is the property shuts down at 11 pm. By shut down, I mean lights off and no staff. Room service ends at 9:45 pm. The sports bar that is open until 2 am refuses to serve you after 1 am. The main buffet on the adult side was closed. That left us with a smaller buffet with fewer choices. Also, you had to absolutely have reservations for the 3 restaurants they had on the adult side, but you are only allowed to make 3 reservations on their App which is crazy when most people are staying more than 3 days. We had no phone our room which you need to do room service. We asked for them to replace our phone and it took 2 days and multiple trips to guest services for that to actually happen. Majority of staff wasn't friendly. I was very disappointed in my experience as a whole. I have visited lots of all inclusive resorts and never experienced anything like this. I mean what resort shuts down at 11 pm?

La limpieza fue fantástica, pero el servicio es el peor que he visto, desde la llegada a recepción y un check-in de más de dos horas porque no se organizaban, realizamos reservas a la llegada y al llegar a los centros de consumo no estaban, se robaron el andador de nuestra abuela de la playa y no ayudaron en nada para saber qué pasó, nos dieron 3 versiones diferentes lo que dio a notar que no tenían ni idea. Es lamentable, tenía 7 reservas para los próximos meses con un grupo y cancelaré todo, no vale la pena.

The hotel was nice. We had a beautiful 1 bedroom suite with a hot tub on the patio. We had a butler upon arrival which was nice for booking our dinner resteraunts and telling us about daily activities. The swim up bar was great but I did miss having someone walk around and bring drinks to us poolside. We did have great service on the beach chairs they came around often there. My husband had really good interaction with the chef in the ocean buffet he was so kind finding him lemon when he wasn't feeling well and going above and beyond with making him extra items and feeling like VIP. We really enjoyed the food. We also had a wonderful server in the gourmet resteraunt Ricardo. The room was cleaned daily and minibar stocked. The only bad experience was when my husband's finger was crushed in the beach chair and broken and bleeding the medical in the hotel charged us $269 for basic first aid like wrapping his finger to stop the bleeding with gauze and tape which I thought was really unreasonable and just a bad look overall.

The property and the beach were beautiful and the staff was excellent! I didn’t like that at the adult side they advertised the Market for eating and it was closed. Just because it’s considered low season should not be a reason to not have it open. The breakfast also only serves until 10am where as the family side serves until 11am.

My friend and I had a great overall experience at Serenade. The staff was amazing, Darius made sure we were enjoying ourselves daily! The only downside was that the property could’ve been better well kept (chairs had stains and damage from daily use) but, all in all, the scenery made up for it and the property itself was gorgeous. Overall the resort was fine. It was my husband and I’s first time at a resort let alone out of the country so I don’t have much to compare it to. We still enjoyed our time. We booked the master suite which came with perks such as Elite service which meant we got a butler who could book reservations for us. Our room however had a jacuzzi on the balcony which was broken. We booked the room specifically for that reason which was unfortunate. The buffet food had a large variety but was overall mediocre. The restaurants they provide vary in quality. La Palapa was the worst and we don’t recommend people go there if they can help it. Braseria and Koi restaurants were great! I strongly recommend Koi Teppanyaki which was their Hibachi. The swim up bars and all bars we went to were totally fine. The service members at the Elite Desk, the Bulter, and the man who sold excursions were able to help us a fair amount but regular staff members weren’t as helpful and most spoke only Spanish which was difficult as English speakers. We noticed the guests who spoke Spanish fluently had a different and more positive experience than us English speakers. The room was clean and maid services came through daily to tidy it up which was nice. Our room was frigid as it was one of the only areas of the resort with AC. Just be aware and maybe bring extra blankets. We still enjoyed our time these are just observations we made. Since we had Elite status I believe that’s why we had more positive experiences

The resort was beautiful but the beach was awful. Nothing but seaweed! Not the beach in the photos. No one was in the water. However, the thing that makes the vacation is how well you are treated by staff. We felt ignored and brushed off. We were made to feel like we were bothering them. Also at check in more time was spent on trying to get us to upgrade our rooms rather than explaining where things were located. No plans for repeating this resort visit! 👎👎

This place was a perfect getaway for our Anniversary. Every worker we dealt with here polite, helping and fun to interact with. Our Butler Jorge was great, kind and each day letting us know what was going on at the resort, all while making sure our stay was satisfying. Jose at the pool bar made some of the best drinks we've had! He is a lot of fun, energetic, and made sure you were have a good time around him. All in all, great food, service, stay, and beach was amazing!

Property was overall nice, maid staff was always available. Check in was easy. We stayed in the elite service room with hot tub and balcony. Jorge was our butler and he was great made making dinner reservations a breeze. Was always available. Very friendly staff. All the restaurants on the property were great except the sports bar but other than that staff were always pleasant and willing to assist. Will be back again. Tips download what’s app for communication it makes it easy. Pools were clean and accessible. Nice nighttime entertainment on property. More of a quiet resort if you are looking for party party this may not be the resort for you but still was fun. Overall 9/10.

Do not stay here. Roaches located in restaurants and in our room. Most of the Staff are not helpful and are rude. They acted like they did not want to be there. Multiple restaurants were not open and majority of restaurants required reservations that could only be made in the morning by another staff. Our door did not lock the whole trip and it was very unsettling for one of the hotel rooms we had. We had to sleep all in the room that the lock did work. We were 5 lady’s and did not feel secure. In addition, We were relaxing in the lobby bar and they turned the light off so we could leave. Room service not 24 hours. The pools and beach were really nice and the bartenders were nice as well as the lady’s at the coffee bar. Other than that I will not be returning and wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Also I did not have a great time on excursion to Saona! It was way too long and felt like we stopped at tourist traps. I should have just stayed at the resort.

My stay was amazing! They did daily pool games/ activities, Staff always catered to us no matter the area!! Definitely so worth the price! Food was 10/10 for resort food, Theirs people on the resort and beach daily for you to book excursions to, 2x daily housekeeping. Room was amazing just so good over all!!

Was a pretty nice stay however the entertainment on adult side of resort was more like a nursing home the regular side has many events and shows and had a lot more information regarding what’s going on for the week the app for us also wasn’t very helpful seems like it is rarely updated but the staff was great very helpful not pushy about tips or getting you to do things room was clean door frames are questionable and food could be a lot better steak house was not good for us. It is a very small resort but all and all was a great trip worth the money

Muy mala atención al cliente , las personas no tenían ganas de trabajar , no hay ningún servicio exclusivo para los elites , la comida pésima , habina bichos q tenían q estar fumigando, para ser elites tuvimos muy mala experiencia , las toallas y sábanas de la habitación machadas, el jacuzzi de la habitación sucio y cuando se abría salía agua con mal olor , la secadora de pelo no funcionaba , terrible .
