Not an overwhelming resort - more like a cozy family feel. Staff were extremely friendly, respectful and courteous. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Food was excellent and the entertainment was enjoyable. Beach and pool were both outstanding - this was our second stay at the Hyatt Ziva, and we are definitely going back for a third time.

Great food, amenities, events by the pool during the day and in the lawn in the evenings. Plenty of activities for kids so the beach remained pretty peaceful and not crowded. Probably the best hotel/resort gym I’ve ever seen. If I had one recommendation, it would be to add more umbrellas on the beach. There were plenty of chairs, but umbrellas became a Hunger Games situation as there was one umbrella for every 10-15 chairs (versus one umbrella for every two chairs by the pool).

On the positive side- Hotel is big and updated, rooms are quite spacious and stuff is very nice.
We had a small issue with air conditioner and it was fixed in 15 minutes.
If you have kids - they have kids clubs, evening movies with popcorn, kids pools etc

But - if you like good food, that’s not your place to go.
Our daughter got food poisoning the first day we came;(
And in general the variety of veggies and fruits is very poor.

We had a wonderful stay at the resort and overall everything exceeded our expectations. The property was beautiful, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the amenities were well maintained. Our room was comfortable and clean, and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere throughout the resort.

That said, the only aspect that didn’t meet our expectations was the Blind Butcher restaurant. While the concept was interesting, we didn’t feel the food quality justified the experience, especially when compared to the other on-site restaurants. We found the food elsewhere on the property to be noticeably better and more enjoyable.

Aside from that one dining experience, everything else about our stay was excellent, and we would absolutely recommend the resort to others.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana, and I'm delighted to share our outstanding experience at this beautiful all-inclusive resort.
From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by every aspect of our stay. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with immaculate grounds, breathtaking ocean views, and a perfect blend of luxury and Caribbean charm. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, greeting us with warm smiles and genuine hospitality that made us feel truly welcome throughout our entire visit.
The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully appointed with all the amenities we could want. Our accommodations offered spectacular views and provided a peaceful retreat after days filled with activities and relaxation.
The resort's facilities are world-class. The pools were pristine and never felt overcrowded, the beach was gorgeous with plenty of comfortable loungers, and the various dining venues offered excellent variety. We particularly enjoyed the dinner restaurants, where the quality of food and service was exceptional. The entertainment and activities kept us engaged without ever feeling overwhelming.
One small area for improvement: While breakfast offered good variety and options, the quality didn't quite match the exceptional standards set by the rest of the resort's dining experiences. Elevating the breakfast to match the dinner service would make this resort absolutely perfect.

From start to finish,the staff and I mean every staff member was genuinely nice.
There is always something to do or something going on for everyone.
The food was really good as well with some being a little more desirable than others,but overall really good.

Our stay at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana was memorable, mainly thanks to the incredible staff. They were warm, kind, and truly made us feel cared for. Their energy is what makes this resort special.

Check-in was easy, but there was miscommunication about our room. I had inquired the Club Master One Bedroom and was told the upgrade decision would be made on arrival. Instead, we were told the original room was not available at all and had to take the upgrade, which cost us over two thousand dollars. This should have been communicated before we arrived, especially with two toddlers.

The room was large and comfortable, and the staff handled our bedding requests very well. However, the room was not as clean as expected. Our toddlers found nail clippings and dusty corners, and even after asking for deep cleaning several times, it never felt fully done.

The Italian restaurant was our favorite, with fresh food and friendly service. The wine selection was limited even with the Club upgrade. The Turkish Mediterranean restaurant was disappointing, with long waits and no bread or kids’ food even after repeated requests, so we left. Pronto’s and the Mercado buffet were convenient for the kids, and the staff there was always helpful. Special thanks to dinner manager Juan Carlos for his outstanding service.

Before we left, guest relations reached out and handled our concerns professionally.

Overall, the resort is beautiful and the staff truly shines. We had a good stay and made great

The literal best all inclusive I’ve ever been to. The staff is top notch. They remembered my kids names and their drink orders. There is constantly activities, movie nights and shows. Every single person left an impression from the people checking you in, the ladies at the coffee bar, the staff at kids club, the amazing bartenders (shout out to Marco), wait staff, even housekeeping! Truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my kids first resort. The rooms are spacious, the food is great (including room service) the water park is fun. Not sure what else I could have asked for. Exceeded all expectations.

We recently stayed at the Hyatt Ziva and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The entire property was spotless and beautifully maintained. Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed. Even though it rained on most days, in true Caribbean fashion it never lasted long, and we still enjoyed plenty of time at the beach and pool. The staff did a great job keeping everyone entertained despite the weather.

The water park was fun, clean, and never crowded, and the resort overall felt peaceful during our stay (we traveled in the slower season). Although we didn’t use the gym this time, it’s one of the most impressive we’ve seen at any resort — spacious and well equipped.
Every staff member was friendly and professional, but Mariokely by the pool, Sol from the kids club, Luis at the buffet meat station, and Gemelin at the buffet truly made our trip special with their kindness and attention.

If I could suggest small improvements, I’d love to see fresh fruit mixes for drinks instead of concentrated ones, and maybe smaller batches of fried items at the buffet so they stay hot and crispy. Also, having the coconut station a few times a week — we missed it during our 5-day stay.

Overall, we had an amazing time and can’t thank everyone enough. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Hyatt Ziva, Mariokely, Sol, Luis, and Gemelin, for making our vacation so memorable! ❤️

Since I’m a Expedia gold member we were told of the benefits we will get like free wine and discount at the spa, we good 20% off for the spa but the wine we didn’t get it until the very end of our stay after mentioning it a couple times, we never got it until we went one last time to the lobby and asked for it before checking out. Overall the stay was good! And the upgraded room was amazing!

I stayed here for 3 days and had a wonderful experience with my family here. It’s not too crowded or too big and the staff are wonderful.

I had planned to propose on one of the evenings… plans got confused… and Flor the property manager stepped in to make it right. She and Karina in the Consierge helped me create a wonderful memory with my fiancé and I will always be grateful for this.

The room needs attention.

My experience at Ziva Cap Cana, a 5-star resort, was disappointing. Everything was fine, but the downside was the room itself. I paid for an upgrade to access a private pool, and the room had mold. I could smell the mold. Hopefully, they can take care of that issue. I stayed in room 3106. Also, the food on the Mercado was rancid, I had shrimps that I could not eat.

Food was on consistent one day look like they use 2 different meat on the same plate it was lomo salteado Peruvian restaurant some meat was soft some where hard.. big point very limited on top shelf liquor for they vip smart business for them but not for customers also they should have the blind butcher for free when you book x amount day on the hotel I not cheap to give something back for those who stay at least 4 nights like the old day and the fact that the beach was no even 1 out 10 need to balance the sheets. The staff at this resort are truly what make the property outstanding. From the moment we arrived, they exceeded our expectations with their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care. In particular, Francisco P. at reception went above and beyond to ensure our stay was seamless and memorable, his attention to detail and willingness to help made our entire family vacation exceptional. Hansel from the entertainment team also stood out, keeping us engaged in fun activities throughout our stay. Thanks to him, my children were always happy, active, and entertained, which allowed us to relax and fully enjoy the experience as a family.

Another highlight was the food. Every meal we enjoyed was prepared with clear dedication and passion. Each dish was cooked to perfection, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. From breakfast to dinner, the quality and consistency were outstanding, truly some of the best meals we’ve had at a resort.

What impressed us most overall was the genuine service. The staff didn’t just provide excellent hospitality; they made us feel valued and cared for at every step of our stay. It is this combination of exceptional staff, delicious food, and thoughtful service that has left such a lasting impression. Because of this remarkable experience, we are already planning our next vacation at Hyatt.

We had an amazing six night stay at the Hyatt Ziva. We have a 10 year old and there was so much for her to do the entire week. I am a foodie and food content creator and I enjoyed the food. There were some dishes that weren’t as seasoned as I would make them but that is to be expected when cooking for a large number of people. We stayed at the Hyatt Ziva in Cabo and wanted to experience the Punta Cana location and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
