We could not have picked a better resort! The people who worked there were ALL magnificent! Atmosphere and food was amazing & they had entertaining events all throughout the day & night, at night there is singing and dancing ( look for manuel- he is the life of the party & does everything he can to make your trip spectacular!!!!)

el hotel esta bien , el personal es amable , muchas personas del hotel trabajan para que los huéspedes se sientan realmente bien , sin ser empalagosos, la comida es algo que debe mejorar urgentemente . también en la mañana el personal de limpieza de las habitaciones hace demasiado ruido y hablan y eso se escucha clarito en las habitaciones, aunque el check out es a las 11 am , hay personas que nos gusta dormir y descansar.

My husband and I just got back from a fantastic trip! From the moment we arrived at this luxurious hotel, we were treated like royalty. The room was a great size and especially loved the large bathroom and shower. Just wanted to mention a shout out to our pool girl, Dionicia (Didi to us). She was the best and was always there each and every day with a smile on her beautiful face. Also to our activity guy, Alfred. What a great personality and really did his best to gather up people for beach and pool activities. Overall, the place was amazing. So much food to choose from and each of the restaurants were excellent. No complaints here. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Everything was perfect. We live nearby in Bavaro and have seen and visited many of the local resorts. This was a special occasion for my wife and daughter and the resort delivered much better than expected and the local status quo!!! The staff is amazing. We have been waiting to come to this resort for over two years and sadly it was very disappointing. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The front desk staff were very welcoming.

Unfortunately we found a dead cockroach in our room as soon as we entered it. There was also a small cockroach that crawled across our table at the Blind Butcher as soon as we sat down. It made us wonder what was in the kitchen. When we told one of the staff members the lady responded by saying \"It's okay\". No it's not okay. At most of the restaurants the waiting staff was unfortunately not good at all. We constantly had to ask for water and silverware. When asking waiters or bartenders for drinks we were given not such nice looks. We also asked for plain hamburgers and hot dogs due to a dairy allergy one day. We were given hot dogs with chilly and cheese all over them and a hamburger with mayo and mushrooms on it. They were not plain. It was very confusing to communicate to the staff members. Lastly, the food was very good but I wouldn't recommend eating any kind of red meat as it did not look or taste like usual red meat.

The pool and lazy river and splash pad were great! We were really hoping to return to this resort but sadly will probably not.

From the state-of-the-art gym and amazing fitness classes to the beautiful pool and endless entertainment options, we found something fun to do every day.

We were celebrating our birthdays, and the highlight of our trip was dinner at The Blind Butcher. The food was exceptional, and the overall dining experience, entertainment, and atmosphere made it one of the best birthday celebrations we’ve ever had. It was truly unforgettable!

Estube en el Hyatt Zilara en Mayo del 2026. Voy a decir lo positivo y lo negativo del Hotel. El hotel muy bueno en general, lo tenian bastante limpio y organizado. La calidad de comida fue muy buena. El buffet tenia bastante variedad y carnes buenas como New York steak, picahna, Salmon, Tuna, etc. De los restaurantes el Steakhouse \"Waves\" fue el mejor y el segundo lugar se lo daria al French restaurant. El servicio ha sido el mejor que he visto en todas las veces que he estado en Punta Cana. El personal en geral es muy educado y amable, te tratan 10/10 la verdad. Una de las cosas Negativas fue la playa! estaba llena de sargazo, pero a un punto que el agua estaba color cafe... solo pude banarme 2-3 dias de los 7 que fui lo cual fue muy decepcionante la verdad xq viaje alrededor de 10 horas en avion principalmente por la playa. Pasa una maquina aplastando el sargazo de la arena pero el agua no la limpian por lo que cada dia se ponia peor. Otra cosa negativa fue la animacion en la noche. El zilara no tiene teatro, por lo que las noches son bien aburridas. si quieres ver un show tienes que irte al hotel de al lado que es el Ziva (el cual esta lleno de ninos cuando tu pagastes por un hotel de adultos). Lo tercero negativo fue que el Buffet del Zilara esta cerrado en las noches. Osea que si quieres ir a un buffet en la noche tienes q irte al hotel de al lado (Ziva). Yo andaba con mi mama en una silla de ruedas por lo que eso de estar caminando de aqui pa alla no era lo ideal, y mas

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana was a very nice resort. First time there. The staff was friendly just not over the top friendlly like we have seen at other resorts in CanCun. Could be a difference in cultures. I enjoyed the food at the Pier, the hibachi place and the Pesto. Drinks were decent. We had professional pictures taken and they were AMAZING! The beach is why we go to these resorts and it was very clean no seaweed, we loved it. It was a very nice stay. :)

Room is just ok, better detail on cleaning. We had the ocean view swim up. $1600 a night is a little steep. The resort however is absolutely amazing. Best staff, great meals, great drinks, beautiful grounds, plenty of stuff to do, beach is unreal and looks fake. Would definitely recommend Hyatt Zilara to anyone. Great hotel with great amenities and spectacular beach. Our room was a master suite and exceeded expectations. Hotel is very modern and very well maintained. Lots of options to eat, drink, enjoy the beach and pool area. Staff was extremely attentive and we were very well taken care of. Im not an all inclusive fan and was concern about being too crowded and finding activities that personally dont enjoy common in this type of hotels but was not the case. This was my second time staying here, and honestly, it was even better than the first. I had such a great experience from start to finish.

A huge shoutout to the housekeeping staff, especially the lady who cleaned my room — she was absolutely amazing. Every single day, my room was left spotless, smelling fresh and wonderful, and the bed was always perfectly made. Every time I came back from the beach, someone had already come by to clean and organize everything, which I truly appreciated. Her attention to detail did not go unnoticed.

Also, Axel at the front desk was so helpful and informative. He made the check-in process smooth and welcoming. I had requested an early check-in, and they were kind enough to check me in at 11 AM instead of 3 PM, which was a huge plus since we had a very early flight and arrived at the hotel around 9 AM.

The amenities were 10/10, the food was delicious, and I honestly have no complaints at all. One thing I especially loved was how they had so many food and alcoholic drink events by the pool throughout the day — it made everything so convenient when relaxing poolside because you could just grab something and head right back to your spot.

Overall, I had an amazing stay and will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend!

Pros: The staff are friendly and kind, and they try to be helpful.

Cons: There was a food safety issue during our stay. The way the hotel handled the food poisoning needs significant improvement. Instead of avoiding responsibility, we hope the hotel would take such matters seriously and conduct a proper investigation. Food safety should always be a top priority to ensure guests feel safe and cared for.

Due to the food safety issue, we made a specific request to the hotel. Although our request was declined, they offered an alternative solution, which we eventually accepted.

If the food poisoning incident had not occurred, this could have been a great trip. Unfortunately, because of what happened, we were not able to enjoy our stay as much as we had planned and expected.

One star thanks to the late night manager, who quickly took my husband to the clinic — he is the person I appreciate the most.
One star thanks to Manager Pedero, who provided us with an alternative offer in the end.

Clean, neat, organized, and kind staff. Yeferi at the front desk make check in and out simple and quick. The chef, front desk person and male server at shutters the VIP restaurant were amazing and kind. The woman putting towels out at the infinity pool closest to Shutters was one of the best people at that place and she should be serving drinks or working with the people there more because she has a great personality. Only thing is VIP was not really all that different, not worth the money. Also you can’t make reservations for the most part, so plan to get to places early. One last thing the additionally paid restaurant, the blind butcher, book it before you come! Worth every penny!

My husband is a cigar smoker, there was limited places for him to smoke on property. Additionally, the designated places on property did not have shade. Additionally, we were not offered to upgrade at check in, would have appreciated the opportunity, but it was not offered. We have been to Punta Cana multiple times and have stayed with Hyatt Zilara in Puerto Vallarta, but will not return to this property.

Given the amazing reviews we were so excited for a couples get away. Unfortunately the snow storm in NY led to a cancelled flight and no flight available to get us to our destination in time to make the reservation. I contacted the property and was told they could not assist me with my reservation. Contacted Expedia and after a few days they said the hotel never responded to our request to move the dates. Beware of booking in the winter or you might find yourselves out thousands of dollars. Very disappointed with the hotel and with Expedia.

Excellent hotel. A wonderful, spacious, and clean room with a great view. Very friendly and caring staff. The hotel buffet is the best we’ve experienced among all all-inclusive resorts.

The grounds are beautifully designed and very convenient — pools, bars, sun loungers, and walkways are all well organized. There is plenty of space, yet everything is within a short walking distance.

The hotel is adults-only, which allowed us to enjoy a peaceful stay without noise or crowds. A lovely beach — clean and spacious enough that we never had any trouble finding a spot. Plenty of activities available on the property.

The resort was extremely luxurious for an all inclusive. The staff were all very friendly and always went above and beyond to make you feel taken care of. Even at check in they have you sit in the lounge and come to you with the paperwork so you don't have to stand in line. The resort was beautiful and super clean. The room itself was very large and modern with a giant bathroom and really nice shower. Much nicer then every other all inclusive ive stayed at.

The food and drinks were the real highlight. All inclusives usually mean average at best food and watered down drinks but here was truly comparable to going to an expensive high end restaurant or bar. The restaurants were very upscale and the food was all plated beautifully. Think small super fancy portions displayed on a plate with multiple courses. Even the buffet wasn't really a buffet, everything was served for you and most prepared fresh while you waited. The drinks all over the resort were also very strong and each bar had a different vibe and cool specialty drinks. I loved the martini bar, the vibes were super classy 1950s hangout with cool leather couches, bartenders dressed in bowties and a piano in the corner.

The only thing I wish I knew before I went is there is a \"Club\" membership. Essentially you need the membership to sit by the first main pool and eat lunch at any of the sit down restaurants. So without it, you are limited to the one furthest away pool and only the buffet or bar food for lunch.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Someone was always availableyo assit with whatever we needed. Our room was clean. The facilites were well kept. Very spacious and relaxing. Loved the open concept of the entire property. The beach was ok but due to the seaweed, I did not get in the water. Buffets had a good variety, except needed more vegan protein and desert options. Resort management should look into how to prepare i.e. tofu dishes or get a supplier for alternative vegan products, i.e. non-diary ice cream. The desert bar in general could use some work. Presentation was good but taste and texture were lacking. Overall would recommend.
