2/5 Stars. A nice place, but two main issues to be aware of:

The beach/water is not accessible unless you want to walk through meters and meters of sea weed. This makes beach enjoyment impossible, especially if you have children or don't want to walk through the sea weed. It was like this the entire day, all day, everyday, for over a week. I would not have booked this resort if this was the case. One of the main reasons I booked the resort was because of course the beach/water. If I just wanted to sit alongside a pool all day, and not a beach, I would have booked a different resort.

They advertise that their rooms are soundproof. They are not. You can hear noises easily from other rooms. BUT, on Thursday night of this week, the resort had a \"private event\" in the pool area, with a DJ and LOUD music until midnight. You could hear the words easily to the music, and even with ear plugs in, you could feel the base. If I wanted a party resort, I would have booked that, but I assumed the Westin had quiet hours. They do not.

Based on these to issues, I would not recommend staying here.

We had an amazing stay at The Westin Punta Cana. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and exceptionally clean. The beach is stunning, with soft white sand and crystal-clear water( with sargassum, normal at this time of the year, but you can see beyond this) and there were always plenty of sun loungers available.

The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, always willing to help with a smile. The breakfast offered a great variety of options, and the restaurants served delicious food.

The location is also very convenient, being only a short drive from the airport. The grounds are immaculate and create a relaxing atmosphere perfect for a getaway.

The only small downside was that food and drinks can be a little pricey, but this is common for resort hotels. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Punta Cana.

Clean rooms, food was very good, grounds & landscaping looked great, and staff were very friendly and helpful overall.
Negatives: location of Spa noted with signs still remain in building,
And laundry times on the checklist sheets need to be corrected to match what times the actual drop off/ for next day service should be (which didnt match the hours of service as per the Express Service).

Location is great, just a few minutes from the airport. Beach front access and pool are also great. You can totally get into “relax” mode. The staff is attentive, friendly and the property is well kept like you would expect from a Westin Hotel. The only part I would improve is the restaurants and food options. Several restaurants only open Friday and Saturday. The rest of the days we stayed, they were closed, so you’re limited on food selection. The property is far from other places to eat and the shuttle operates until 6pm which is too early for dinner. We ended up stuck with the 2 options on those days, regular bar food and a nice Dominican style seafood restaurant. Once you’re past that, I would stay there again…

The Westin Punta Cana Resort was an excellent experience. The service was wonderful from the moment we arrived, and the staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The food options were great, the amenities were great as well, and the massage was amazing. Transportation was also very easy to different areas in Punta Cana, which made everything even more convenient. Highly recommend this resort. We are definitely coming back!

The overall experience for property was good no doubt, but the breakfast menu was decent, but it leaned heavily toward non-vegetarian options. As someone who prefers vegetarian food, I found the choices quite limited. It would be great to see more variety in veg dishes. Also, there aren’t many nearby restaurants offering good vegetarian options, which made it a bit inconvenient.

Not pet friendly. But pets are allowed. After several employees of the hotel warned me that “my dog was not allowed to leave the room during our stay”, I went to the reception to clarify. She confirmed that the employees were mistaken and that he could leave the room to relieve himself, but only if he was basically out of sight of any potential guests to come in contact with him. She suggested I use the service entrance. Our dog is part of our family, we don’t go through the trouble of traveling with him so we can abandon him in the hotel room, or sneak him through service entrances. Very nice (beautiful) hotel. Breakfast buffet is amazing. $30 suntan lotion in the store and the food is also very expensive. Staff could be more friendly.

Overall, the staff and service was not good. At all of the restaurants other than one bartender and one waiter, they hardly come to check on you and you have to chase them down to get any refills etc. They seem more concerned with getting their tips and you signing the bill at the end than anything else. Additionally, the rooms have zero privacy. We were a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters, and there is no door on the bathroom, only a glass door that is not private and had a huge gap between the sink and the toilet and shower. The rooms need redesign for sure.

Our stay at The Westin Puntacana Resort was a wonderful experience and a perfect way to unwind. The location is ideal—just minutes from the airport, yet far enough from the busy, crowded hotel zones and beaches, offering a much more მშვიდ and relaxing atmosphere.
From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. A special thank you to the receptionist who checked us in early in the morning on March 11th—unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was absolutely wonderful. Her warm welcome and efficiency made a long travel day so much easier, and we really appreciated getting our room right away.
The property itself is beautiful, well-maintained, and perfect for a laid-back getaway. The beach area is clean and peaceful, exactly what we were looking for.
If there’s one small area for improvement, it would be the beach restaurant—we would have loved to see a bit more variety in the menu. That said, for a short stay, it was perfectly fine.
Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay with excellent service. I would definitely return!

The staff very professional and friendly, always showing genuine hospitality. We were very impressed, and I have to tell you we have been in many 5 stars, specially in both coasts of Florida.

This was a beautiful property, with comfortable rooms and a lovely, uncrowded beach. Three on-site restaurants were both very good, and there was a convenient shuttle service to take us to other restaurants and shopping. But what really made our stay a wonderful experience was the staff. Every single person we encountered was pleasant, friendly and willing to help.

Great staff and facilities. The pool water was somehow too cold, but the ocean and beach were lovely. On site food was more over-priced that I expected. But, if you don't think about that, it was a nice place to be. There are a few on-site or walking-distance activities, but with an extended stay, off-site activities will fill the time. We found some great options (in addition to golf and spa) that were fun for the teenaged kids.

I was very disappointed with my stay. When we checked-in we got little to no information about the property. There was no information about the amenities, bikes, activities, excursions ect. We learned about all of this on our last day, very disappointing. The room was nice, altho i would of enjoyed to have a mini bar. Overall the staff was ok, mostly accommodating. The beach was my biggest disappointment, seaweed , seaweed and more seaweed, water was a dark brown, so that was a major downgrade. I would definitely not recommend staying here

Several onsight restauraunts we tried 3 of them. The service charge, gratuity and a 3rd charge felt excessive everytime we ate in a restaurant.

There was a lot of sargassum at the beach which no one mentioned at the time of booking nor at the time of arrival. This was very disappointing because we ended up not being able to enjoy the beach!
There was a water bicycle available that would allow one to \"cycle\" past the sargassum, however the cost was $50/hr. Not even a slight compensation from the hotel to make up for this which was very disappointing. We left the day after ...

Everything was beautiful, beyond our expectations (beach, hotel, resort, services, transportation, ocean, pool, ).
The only thing that surprised us was the high service charges & government taxes added to every meal/drink at the restaurants, so be sure to book your hotel stay as \"all inclusive \" (if there is an option).
And if you are leaving the Punta Cana airport on weekend, make sure to be at the airport AT LEAST 3 hours prior to your departure!!!!
Enormous lines and no air conditioning at the airport were exhausting!!!

The room service was over priced for and could not get our order right. Burger, club sandwich, fruit tray, ice cream. $90.24 - the fruit tray was never delivered, the ice cream arrived as a melted bowl of chocolate milk. Called to ask about the fruit tray and was placed on hold 3 different times. They deliver guy instructed us to call about the fruit tray and said he was sorry about the ice cream. When finally getting through to someone about the fruit tray they said they could not make out what I was saying because of the static on the call. The phones in the rooms are cheap wireless phones. Other than this issue the property is beautiful.
