Great resort. Rooms had a great view and were clean. Only issue was accessing the ocean, but a 10 minute walk up the beach and you can access no problem. Amazing stay for the family, we’ll be back! Food also very good

Prior to arriving at the Dreams Cap Cana we had read some reviews and quite frankly we were a little nervous. But once we arrived, and we had our first interaction with staff we could see we were in for a great vacation. We had booked for 10 nights and coming from a cold climate we were very much looking forward to the warm weather and relaxing days. Checkin was seamless and they upgraded us to the Premium Area ( nice touch). The rooms were very clean, spacious and our balcony had a nice view of the ocean. The next day we met up with our concierge for the week (Carlos) and he catered to us everyday, always inquiring if everything was going well and if we needed anything else to make our vacation better. When the Premium lounge didn’t have Canadian whiskey, the next day a bottle was in the lounge. The restaurants all had an abundance of different food options and for an all inclusive, the food always kept its flavour and every meal was enjoyable. The bars each offered their own appeal, where you never waited very long for a drink. The staff were always very attentive and polite. The Beach, all the posts we read prior to arriving were accurate about the beach, unfortunately it isn’t very swimable in front of the resort, but just a short walk and the beach’s were absolutely beautiful. For us this wasn’t an issue and we walked on the beach for an hour each day. We would stay here again. Thank you Carlos and the Dreams Cap Cana team, you made our vacation very enjoyable

Overall the property was decent. I have been to a few other dreams and since this one is fairly new there were a few things missing, for the room we needed to call to bring towels, shower caps, and lotion.
They did upgrade us to preferred which was nice and we got the pool view which was also a plus. The room was beautiful and spacious. The restaurants were so so, the one we enjoyed best was the Caribbean restaurant, the other ones I will give a 6/10. The drinks were also so so unless you had a preferred drink which those were good.
I think they just need more time to prepare and learn things about the dreams properties.
The beach had lots of rocks and see-weeds, if you want to enjoy the water beach you will need to walk about 10mins out , the water gets better with less rocks.

The staff at this property was great and our butler Seneida took really good care of my husband and I during our stay for our Honeymoon. During our stay, we only experienced minor inconveniences such as the room not being ready during our 3pm check in time and our room being a little humid at times despite the AC being on. Other than that, we have no complaints and would recommend the resort to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation.

Room was nice and clean if not a little tired. Bed was comfy and it was peaceful. ROom 4105 doesn't have best view but it was fine for 4 days. No hairdryer in room and had to ask twice before it arrived. Premium alcohol cannot be delivered to room and Presidente lager is not the best so I had to stick to the Preferred bar ehich was a bit annoying

Amenities are nice on the surface but the reality is disappointing. We were 'Prefered' guests but the reality is that it doesn't really mean anything. Our butler was friendly and spoke to is daily but we did everything ourselves.

There are not enough cabanas or loungers for everyone and people camp out overnight to reserve everything and then they don't use them all morning. There are towel attendents who warned us that you couldn't reserve beds but the reality is everyone does it and they do not enforce the rule, meaning it's everyone for themselves which is not what you expect in a place like this.

The food is OK but again a la carte places portions are tiny. We preferred the buffet which had a good choice daily. There were massive lines to get into Adian Nad Steakhouse and often wait times of more than an hour.- very disappointing.

Staff are mostly friendly but some were sullen and unhelpful. Some were really nice.

24h room service is a lie. We ordered food and they stalled, then delayed for an hour. We waited 2 hours and it never came. Imo, they just couldn't be bothered

Extremely Unprofessional and Disturbing Experience. Not one room but two rooms.

My stay at this hotel was deeply disappointing and escalated into an unacceptable situation due to a complete lack of professionalism from both staff and management.

From the beginning, guests were openly disrespected, and management allowed it to happen without correction. The front desk receptionist, Jimena, was dismissive and unhelpful when concerns were raised. The manager, Esmeralda, failed to properly address serious issues or de-escalate the situation, instead allowing it to worsen.

After using the valet service (handled by Juan and Endy), $500 in cash was discovered missing from my vehicle…money intended as a birthday gift. This was reported, but the matter was not taken seriously and no accountability was offered.

We had extended our checkout time because we needed additional time to shop outside the hotel. Despite this being communicated, security prevented us from leaving the property, effectively holding us against our will. Only after I stated that I would begin recording did their behavior suddenly change. At that point, staff attempted to offer refunds, an extended stay, and even a free room. I declined all offers and contacted my attorney.

No guest should ever feel disrespected, ignored, or confined. This was not hospitality it was a serious failure of professionalism and management. I would strongly caution anyone considering staying here.

The roome and the staff here are fine. Nothing relate to complain about there. The beach however he’s not very nice and the preferred club section is nothing more than a small roped off area with crummy loungers, and only three cabanas. All of the furniture down there needs to be replaced. The real big negative at this resort is that the food at every single restaurant is just awful. I’ve never been to an all-inclusive where I’ve actually lost weight before the only restaurant that we’ve found so far where we can find anything that’s reasonably well done is at the steakhouse. The Japanese restaurant is absolutely terrible as is the Italian restaurant. The food is disgraceful and they really need to step up their game here. One less comment on the beach is that you can’t swim in the ocean there. It’s all rocks.

Preferred bar was poor. Ran out of glasses every evening and poorly staffed. Servers were washing glasses instead of serving guests.
Beach grill was good …. Ramon was best in class server. He always was attentive and worked hard to make sure we had what we needed.
Sports centre was great. Miguel was excellent and a pleasure to spend time with. Very knowledgeable about the sports.
Room staff and security was a challenge.
In the evening (9pm and later), they would gather on our floor and socialize. This was unacceptable. (Room 1207).
Feel like the hotel has declined in quality since it became a Dreams property. And the Preferred customer model is not a value add at all. Some restaurants were not staffed to support the flow of customers ( ie. steak house and Mediterranean rest.).

Nuestra estadía en Dreams Cap Cana, Punta Cana fue simplemente maravillosa. Desde el primer momento todo estuvo impecable, limpio y muy bien cuidado. La atención del personal fue excepcional, siempre amables, atentos y con una sonrisa.

Queremos destacar especialmente a nuestro conserje, quien estuvo pendiente de cada detalle durante toda nuestra estadía. Constantemente nos sorprendía con lindos detalles en nuestra habitación, lo que hizo nuestra experiencia aún más especial y memorable.

La animación del hotel es un 10/10. Cada hora había actividades diferentes, divertidas y bien organizadas, logrando que todos los huéspedes se mantuvieran entretenidos y disfrutando al máximo.

La comida fue muy buena, con excelente sabor y variedad, y los tragos deliciosos, siempre preparados con dedicación y mucho cariño.

Sin duda, Dreams Cap Cana es un lugar al que volveríamos sin pensarlo. Totalmente recomendado para unas vacaciones inolvidables.

The pool was dirty. I stayed For 5 nights they came to clean it once. Also I accidentally broke a glass plate called it in around 10am staff didn’t arrive till about 4/5pm after I had to continuously call. Everything is slow. Room service took 1/2 hours to arrive every time I called. I requested late check out they approved then waited till the day OF TO tell me I couldnt Do a late checkout after they already told me I could. Food @ all resturants was a 4/10.

I reported a guest stalking us and being rude to my 2 daughters and myself. I text the concierge, talked to the front desk and they did not even respond or talk to me. When we left we were told they provided transportation, we had to pay the driver because he said that was not something the resort does. I felt very mislead and upset by the management. I feel a phone call or email is due.

This was our third group trip to a resort, and unfortunately, it was by far the worst experience. While some staff members were excellent, the service overall was marred by extreme inconsistency and what felt like a clear bias.

At the 24/7 coffee shop, we encountered two very different levels of service. One staff member was wonderful, but the other was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. My entire group shared the exact same sentiment.

We noticed a recurring pattern across the resort and the cafeteria: staff were energetic and friendly toward some group (which I can't mention here due to expedia/Hyatts review policy/rules) but be prepared for a very different level of \"hospitality.\" based on where you are from.

Beyond the service, the food was mediocre and the pool was underwhelming.

Hyatt needs to invest in serious diversity and hospitality training. When you treat paying customers poorly, you can't expect them to return.

Best of luck - we are never going back there again.

Pros: The room was very nice. We had a ocean front corner room which was amazing. The pools were great. Service and staff were pleasant & very good. They were always willing to help with a smile.
Cons: The beach was nonexistent. I called ahead to find out was there a good and swimmable beach they told me absolutely yes. Cap Cana beach is terrible.
The food was disappointing, not 5star...more like 3star.

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel was extremely clean and well maintained, which made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. I stayed at Villa swim out and loved every bit of it. My butler Gary was amazing safer me from a disaster for a wedding I attended. The people were amazing and so sweet they truly loved to make you happy and if you want or needed anything they tried their best to accommodate you. I’ve only put 4 stars because the beach although the workers did their best was awful with sea weed. They really need some type of machine to clean up the mess the guys doing the cleanup by hand was just too much for them and it didn’t do anything. Also the spa massages were wonderful it wasn’t worth the prices they asked. I got a pedicure that was expensive but it was not worth even $25. I’m short so the chair was uncomfortable for me the lady that did my pedicure was nice but didn’t know what she was doing. Hardly any massage at all mostly just clean up and paint. Which wasn’t much to choose from. I had to sit in a regular chair so she can paint my toes it was like having it done by a friend more than anything. I paid $80 for a $10 pedicure and having pain in my back doing so because I had to hold my foot up for her to do it. Other than the beach and the spa I would definitely love to go back to that resort. Overall I loved staying there.

Most of the staff were great. The food was ok, the Italian restaurant was not the best. The hotel needs some updating. Upgrading the room was not worth the extra money.
You could not even walk in the ocean it had so much seaweed and large rocks and the sand has a lot of coral and concrete and stones.
The highlight was making some new friends.

First of all we upgraded to a preferred club room that comes with your personal butler which we never met or came to greet us . The preferred club bar and restaurant seems like it was open to everyone sinces there was no way to tell what guests were preferred club or not , so the extra money spent wasn’t worth it. And last but not least in some hotels when you pay for vip or preferred service you have a separate or private check in, instead we got greeted with “ time share” options on the first minute of your family vacation , not an ideal time.

The steak restaurant was good, buffet didn’t offer much compared to other hotels I’ve been too in the area. This is an average hotel to be inside cap cana , I would have thought it would have been better especially the service . There really isn’t much entertainment for kids , not considered a family friendly hotel , more like a senior resort . I would rate the hotel a 3 out of 10 .

I really wanted to love Dreams Cap Cana, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet expectations. I was a Preferred Member, yet I didn’t feel like one. The “preferred” bar was so far from the pool that we constantly had to get out just to get a drink — and when I finally did, the drink I wanted was often out of stock.

Overall, I didn’t feel I got my money’s worth for the Preferred upgrade. The resort itself is beautiful, but the service and convenience didn’t reflect the level of luxury I paid for.

The beach area could use some improvements. There could be more trees for shade and it needs to be cleaned everyday. The only other things that I would’ve like was more food options. The menu was the same all week and it became boring.
