Fantastic stay!!

Gorgeous resort and staff. This place was marvelous. Exceeded my expectations. We booked a 2 bedroom suite and were upgraded to a 2 bedroom with private pool. This resort had everything — bikes, tennis courts, beach, kids and teen clubs. Wish we could stay for 6 months.

I absolutely DO NOT recommend patronizing this place given their horrible management and the predatory experienced I had. I fell ill and could not travel to Thailand. I notified them of the cancellation, circumstances and provided documentation from my physician. Expedia tried to assist numerous times as well. Despite all this they decided to keep the entire amount for my stay (about 3k!) ignoring their own stated policy. It appears they value money for no service provided above respecting their patrons. I will never stay here or recommend anyone to stay here in the future. Book at your own risk.

This is an absolutely beautiful place and the villas are very well-suited for the surroundings. You will have a serene, private, and relaxing vacation here. The beach is gorgeous and fun but it is not really a good kids beach. If you want local interaction, there's some of that in the vicinity (along with lower prices for drinks and meals). It is far from most of the touristy things in Phuket so if you're coming for that, it's not your place.

Absolutely stunning, lush grounds. You feel far from the rest of the world, yet are proximal to some nearby stores, restaurants, etc (not that you have to leave the property, as there are multiple restaurants with flavors from various global regions...nor do you ever really want to leave your villa!) Not a single detail is missed within the villas, from the lighting to the beautiful wooden built-ins to the private pool. It is truly exquisite. The team is on top of everything: the front desk with checking in, the concierge for booking excursions, the breakfast staff assuring your mimosa flutes are full and you feel at right home. Speaking of breakfast, it was THE absolute best we’ve had at any hotel/resort stay. Totally over the top in terms of selection, yet utterly laid back in terms of your ability to lounge there for a lovely brunch hour (or two!) The staff are among the warmest of all of the Anantara Mai Khao team, and always make sure to chat and teach you local lingo. The main hotel pool is very beautiful, and although we came during high season, the layout allows for privacy and space. The poolside Infinity Bar keeps the spirits flowing, and provided some of our favorite meals of the trip (Short rib burger and Caesar salad - sounds basic but it’s super yummy!) My only qualm about this property is the sea on which it sits. I wondered prior to coming why no one was ever on the beach in the hotel photos. Upon arrival, we found that the sea water has a rather foul smell.

A beautiful and exciting property with awesome private pool villas, and an otherwordly vibe due to the winding lagoon, quiet boardwalks, landscaping and nighttime illumination. The staff are also incredibly welcoming, kind, enthusiastic and helpful - it seemed they would do anything to ensure our optimal experience. Not too far from the Phuket airport, making it convenient for arrival / departure, but you feel nowhere near an airport or the usual bustle of Phuket. It is on a very quiet and peaceful stretch of Mai Khao beach - walk on the beach for 5 minutes and you can have a portion all to yourself. I would gladly return anytime and will highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Phuket.

The staff were simply fantastic, the food at the La Sala restaurant is amazing. We tried both Thai and Indian and loved it. The General Manager, James and his team are so welcoming and humble. We traveled with our 18 month old son and all his needs were swiftly attended to. I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing and enjoyable stay

Just make sure you use the mosquito repellent they provide..I forgot to and got bitten everywhere!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay with this hotel. The service at the breakfast restaurant was wonderful and there was a huge variety of food for us to choose from. The servers were friendly and very hospitable especially to my two year old daughter.

The downside is that the food is on the pricier end compared to the restaurants nearby.

Also if you’re looking to head out to patong/ neighbouring areas, expect to atleast a 50 mins car ride. Having said that, it’s only 20 mins from the airport which is great when you’re traveling with kids.

Service was excellent. Our butler helped us find activities and made reservations for us at a nearby spa. We were there during monsoon season, but despite the forecast, it only rained on one of four days. This resort has multiple nice pools and beach access. Some amenities were overpriced, but as a whole the trip was well worth the money. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing vacation.

I have to say it was one of the best 'hotels' we've been to, as much for the staff as for the lovely layout and atmosphere of the place. Communication with the property before we arrived was excellent, and they responded to all requests promptly, efficiently and accurately. I simply cannot fault the staff. In terms of the resort itself, while it may not be in the most convenient location, you would never know this as soon as you walk through the doors. It was like being in a tropical jungle. The Tree Top bar was the best place to have a drink, especially in the evening. But the food throughout the property was good, with breakfast being exceptionally good. The pool bar was ok, but we hardly spent any time there due to either being by our own pool or away from the resort diving. Conveniently there were bikes all around the property that you could use. The beach was nice, but most of the time the breakers were quite heavy, but that’s a weather thing. If I have to pick fault (and I have to really look for them), the deck in our Sala was a little tired, with a bit of warping on the raised deck by the pool. Some of the bathrooms looked a little tired, but always clean.The pillows on the bed were soooooooooooo soft I had to roll one up to get any comfort. But the bed was comfortable and the overall villa was just great! Lovely pool and outside areas and very private. The outdoor shower is a bit of a disappointment, not so much a shower as an open pipe (a pretty one tho).

This property was absolutely incredible! Every part of it was picture perfect from the moment you entered it. From the grounds, and villas, to the spa, restaurants and beach (all Instagram worthy). It had everything! For being such a vast resort it was amazing how you could feel so secluded. The private pools were paradise. Not only could you enjoy your day feeling totally free swimming but you could also take a late night dip after walking to Turtle Village just next door for ice cream. Our villa host Nan was so sweet and accommodating. Bending over backwards to attend to our every need from setting us a special surprise for our daughter upon arrival, to restaurant reservations and even setting up special bubble baths in our out door tub connected to our pool at night to relax in under the stars. Our daughter also loved when Dae paddled in during breakfast to deliver sweets and fruit and especially loved feedin all the fish and watching the ducks. Spectacular place and staff! Will most definitely be back as soon as possible.

a great stay to enjoy privacy at with your own pool and unpopulated resort. you can expect the room and pool to be as seen on the photos. the buffet breakfast can get you as full as you want with the wide variety of cuisines, including some tradtional thai method to deliver fruit and desserts. a surprise came from the complimentary caramel popcorn with a hint of spice was exceptionally delicious from the happy hour drinks by the pool. room service was efficient give to the size of the resort, and the staff were forever helpful along with the sincere smiles and greetings, definitely made our stay more pleasant.

Easy access property from the airport with good food and Long Beach. The private pool villa was ideal for us. There is a small shopping mall next to the hotel where you can find snacks and also local street food. Service was also great, we tried in villa dining and we were pleased. For sports there is a decent gym and lots of outdoor options. We would highly recommend this property.

Spent 2 nights and 3 days at Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas. Received an upgraded room and 15% off food thanks to Expedia. Staff was extremely friendly. Restaurants were great, especially the breakfast buffet. We had our own pool and an enormous room. Hotel is north of airport, so not near Phuket town. If you are looking for relaxation, this is ideal. Great beach, bar area, pool, and nearby shopping.

Facility is extremely outdated and needs A LOT OF maintenance. You will not enjoy the pool because it is dirty even after they clean it.

Lovely villa, wonderful staff

We really loved our stay here. Our villa was beautiful and private and the staff made sure it was clean and smelled great all the time. The staff at the resort were amazing - they were always smiling, extremely helpful, and completely in-tune with every aspect of our stay. They were one step ahead of us and always made sure we had what we needed.
