The resort was great and the staff where fantastic. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was very large and had all the required amenities including a fully equipped kitchen.
Our kids especially loved the children's activity play centre and the beach. The first couple of days it took as a while to get our bearings walking around the resort as it is so spread out.
We only had a couple of annoyances:
1) Hotels.com advertised our breakfast as a full kitchen continental breakfast with no further description. The vast majority of guests at the hotel had a buffet breakfast at JW Cafe. To our disappointment, a Full Kitchen Continental Breakfast actually meant eating at the Siam Deli and being offered only one Beveridge and one of only a handful of menus listed in their menu. It was definitely not a full kitchen! We were not able to upgrade to the buffet breakfast and had to pay the full fee for that option.
2) We paid top dollar for our accommodation. Had we researched better, we could have had the room for close to a third of the price had travelled 2 weeks later in April.

Very clean and tidy rooms. We had a two bedroom unit. We thoroughly enjoyed our eight night stay. The kids loved their time at kids camp. We enjoyed the pools and poolside service.

The location is beautiful and the property is well kept.
There are plenty of things to do here for kids and adults alike, and plenty of spots to laze the days away if you don't feel like doing anything.
The highlight was every single member of staff. Such lovely helpful and genuine people that were so welcoming and friendly to us.

Nice staff and decent food. Very good for kids with the designated pool and kids club. My only gripes would be the noise from people walking around above (the Marriott in Khao Lak has the same issue) and the staff not handling PCR documents with appropriate sensitivity.

There was 4 of us on this trip staying at the hotel. 3 of us got sick with vomit and diarrhoea. We only ate pretty much the entire time at the hotel. We were able to pretty much identified the food that caused the sickness as I did not eat the same food in the hotel hence I was not sick. Pretty miserable really and we certainly did not expect this for the price we pay. Needless to say, we will not stay at the same hotel chain and I will not book another holiday using your website.

Spacious rooms (2 bedroom apartments can sleep 6 if the sofa bed is used), beautifully landscaped gardens, quiet location and good facilities except for the dining facilities.
Only drawback is the dining facilities which whilst there are a number of options do not provide value for money and lack local taste (too sweet or not spicy enough).

Fabulous apartments but eating at hotel pricey
The 2 bedroom appts are called villas by the staff but are actually appts in 3 story blocks. Very well laid out and fully equips for 6 people 2 no bedroom has 2 queen sized beds and own bathroom if you want adult only ask for north pool size of the property as this pool is very quiet. This is not a place to stay if you want lively Thai resort as 30 mins north of the airport $30 taxi ride to Patong. One criticism is the prices of food and drinks sandwich from deli £7.50 large beer £7.50 and since all bills signed for it's easy to accumulate a steep bill! So budg

We recently stayed here for over a week and loved every minute. The location is amazingly beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, and they made our stay the best vacation we have ever had. If you love being close to the beach, swimming in picturesque pools and staying in a room that has all the comforts of home (plus 24 hr. room service), I strongly recommend staying here.
There are six onsite restaurants to choose from, however our favorite was the Andamon Grill where we had our Anniversary Dinner. This location has an amazing sunset ocean view, and our server Tan made our evening extremely special, and the food is really delicious as well.
Several nights we enjoyed the late night Happy Hour provided at the Blue Bar, and while the Mojito's are incredible and were our favorite drink, they have a variety of others to choose from. Our bartender's Aey and X-Man were so friendly and interactive, and they mix drinks to perfection. I highly recommend stopping by the Blue Bar and having a beverage, ask for Wan, she also makes a great drink but what we really enjoyed was how she made each visit feel like a special occasion and really took the time to speak with us and learn our names.
During our stay we also enjoyed, the Spa, where we treated ourselves to a Thai massage and loved the relaxing, calming and professional atmosphere and staff. We made use of the onsite gym and free workout classes, there were a great way to start our days and the instructors were very good.

Wonderful experience in every way
I rarely write reviews but this hotel has been perfect in every way. The staff are friendly -- all of them and very professional. My daughter hurt herself biking and they immediately bandaged her up and also delivered milk and cookies to her later in the day. The beach and environment is natural and gorgeous. The pool is large, the tennis court in great shape, a beautiful gym, and lovely yoga room. This is a perfect place to come with a family - including a great kids club and a kitchen. I highly recommend this hotel.

Restaurants on the pricy side (but great food) but here are other local options too which aren't more reasonable (turtle village). Kids loved tree kids club. Can't wait to come back.

We had a great and relaxing time with the family at Marriotts Phuket Beach Club. The resort has Excellent facilities for kids and adults- good thai food, swimming pools, kids center, Gym and spa etc. It is close to the airport but however far from town. If someone is looking at just putting your feet up and relaxing for a long weekend in Thailand close to the beach - eating, sleeping, drinking and swimming, this is the place to go to.

We LOVED Marriott Phuket Beach Club. Great for families. Loved the pool and the beach. The service was top notch. Like most 5 star hotels, they go the extra mile. Loved the welcome drink. :-) I gave room cleanliness a 4 instead of a 5 only because I saw some ants and a little lizard in our bathroom. I suppose it's hard to avoid that anywhere in Phuket because you're basically in a rainforest. Also the water had some yellow tint whereas the JW Marriott rooms had clear water. The bathroom could use some re-grouting. Other than those small things, everything else was great.

Amazing hotel complex on the beach
Marriott's Phuket Beach Club is such a lovely place to stay. We stayed for 9 nights in January 2015, and it was a great relaxing getaway. The hotel sits on Mai Khao beach, where there are several stalls where you can get a massage, manicure or have your hair braided. All of the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, always saying hello when you walk past, and are willing to help with anything. There are 3 huge swimming pools on the complex, which are very clean and cater for all ages (there is an adult's pool, kids pool and the 3rd pool has a swim up bar). All of the pools look out over the beach which is lovely.
As for the rooms, we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was extremely clean, tidy, and overall a really nice room to stay in. The master bedroom has a king bed and the bathroom has a huge bathtub with a large shower. The slightly smaller bedroom has two double beds with an ensuite. The beds are very comfortable as is the furniture in the rest of the apartment. There is also a useful kitchenette, dining/living area and a balcony.
The hotel offers so many things to do: water sports such as sailing and snorkelling (free kayaking and paddle boarding), Thai language lessons, and even have a go at trapeze. This hotel is a brilliant place to stay and we highly recommend it to anyone.
As for the rooms, we had a 2 bedroom apartment which was extremely clean, tidy, and overall a really nice room to stay in. The master bedroom has a king bed and the bathroom has a huge bathtub with a large shower. The slightly smaller bedroom has two double beds with an ensuite. The beds are very comfortable as is the furniture in the rest of the apartment. There is also a useful kitchenette, dining/living area and a balcony.
The hotel offers so many things to do: water sports such as sailing and snorkelling (free kayaking and paddle boarding), Thai language lessons, and even have a go at trapeze. As for the restaurants, some are too expensive but the food is good, and the service is excellent. There is a huge variety from Thai to Italian to Japanese.

True 5-Star stay, but mixed experience with kids
We (mixed french/danish family of 4 with 2 small children) had a great 4-night stay there. There are very few bad things to point out. Its a true international 5-star resort with a large variety of restaurants, pools etc. All great and the kids club is fabulous. The international angle takes away most of the local flavor - like it or not. The reason we are not giving this a full five on all points is that we were rejected at a restaurant which on one night was adults-only. This was not advertised very well and doing so could have saved us a rather embarrasing rejection at the entrance door. Though I can rationally understand that the resort wants to give honeymooners (and other adults) some peace, the adults-only concept is very alien and bordering on the offensive to a Scandinavian. The adults-only applies to one of the pools as well - in fact the one nearest our otherwise wonderful suite.

The 2 bdr was fantastic. Rate was very good value. The facilities are very good. My kids had so much fun with all the kids activities and the kids club was fantastic! Services was great, they prepared a chocolate cake for my husband's bday and decorated the room with flower pedals and cute towel swans for our anniversary.
The negatives are: the food is on the high side and weren't that good either. We end up cooking ourself since we has kitchen. The area is a bit out of everything. But it's good to have a small mall next door to eat and buy things. Although at night pass 12 there is absolutely nothing to do.
Overall we were very happy with the resort and would recommend to family with kids and we would go back for sure.

Wonderful holiday
We are expats who love to travel. We have been to many different countries and stayed in many different hotel chains. We keep coming back to Marriott because we know what we are getting, no matter where we are in the world: clean rooms, good service, and a comfortable place to stay. This particular hotel was phenomenal. We were concerned initially to travel to Thailand, knowing that water quality is an issue [and we have infant twins and were concerned that they might drink the bath water]. Everything was fabulous, though. Complementary water is given out each day by the maid service. The hotel restaurants are clean and we never got sick in the 2 weeks we were there. We booked excursions and ate at the restaurants they took us to, and no one had any problems. Every person we encountered at the hotel, from the front desk people to the cleaning staff, were friendly and helpful. We had a 2-bedroom villa that was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. The facilities, from the lobby decor and torches at the front entrance, to the pools and lush landscaping, were gorgeous. Our children, 13, 10, and infants, all felt welcome at the kids' club. It was a great vacation.

Fantastic Resort - Paradise in Phuket
This hotel is amazing. The Marriott Phuket Beach Club shares the grounds of the JW Marriott. We had a 2 bedroom villa which was beautifully appointed. The beach club rooms are all garden villas with only a short walk to the pools/ beach. The gardens are amazing - the best I have ever seen in any resort.
Our 2 boys aged 11 and 8 loved the kids club even though it was undergoing refurbishment and was temporarily relocated for our stay. They went 4 times during our 8 day stay, and as it was open until 8pm, we even managed to have an early romantic dinner as a couple at Ginja restaurant (which was outstanding). We ate at all of the restaurants (although never ate at the buffet) and thought they were of the quality they should be for a five star resort. Prices were reasonable - Siam Deli was a favorite as it covered all bases.
The pools were amazing - loved all 3. The gym was also great.
Turtle Cove shopping was only a short walk away - we had breakfast at the Coffee Club a couple of times which was good value for money. We booked a day tour to Phi Phi / Maya Beach / Ko Phi Phi Le (swimming in that lagoon was surreal) through the resort. It was hassle free and well organized - being picked up and dropped back at the resort was worth what we paid.

Happy By The Pool
Great destination for families
We have five children and the villa was great. Lots of room for everyone, clean, washer and dryer and full kitchen. The only thing we would do differently is bring food with us because we got tired of eating so heavily at every meal. The Kid's Club allowed our young children a place to get out of the sun and gave us a minute to relax at the pool. The \"Blue Pool\" was the best but people were putting an item on a chair to reserve it for the day and they they would never appear. I watched for an open chair for 1.5 hours and one never became available but there were plenty of chairs without bodies on them. The resort needs to get creative to keep people from claiming a chair for the day.

The Marriott Phuket Beach Club is connected to the JW Marriott and shares all facilities. It is an outstanding hotel for families. We highly recommend the 2 BR villas for families with children as you have a full kitchen and living room.
