The hotel is in a historic building, beautifully renovated. The Library with a fireplace was a warm and welcoming room. There was a misunderstanding about the shuttle, which was not available at the time we needed it, but the staff arranged for a taxi (at our expense). Very comfortable beds and a large room. Close to airport.

The staff were amazing! The shower had the most water pressure I've ever seen in any hotel anywhere in the world! The bed was soft and comfortable and breakfast was good. Some construction out front but didn't see or hear anything happening. Just scaffolding, probably typical of drain maintenance.

The rooms and dining area of the hotel and breakfast were wonderful . Maureen was a lovely host . My husband left his phone there and they immediately called the cab co and we got it back ! . Only not so great is the entire facade was under reconstruction- that’s great they take care of an old building but a bit daunting when you drive up .

If you saw the Bates hotel movie, this would be like the house behind it, very creepy, arrived at night with very little light to find the way up the narrow drive and front door, narrow staircase leading up multiple stairs that you can barely fit a suircase up. This room was booked for my dad for a one night stay. The hotel was beautiful. Very tastefully restored to Georgian grandness. The room was compact but very tastefully decorated & he said he slept like a log. There was bit of an issue with the flushing mechanism of the toilet & he informed the receptionist. The staff were all very lovely & he enjoyed his breakfast.

Second stay here and again very much enjoyed it. Both dinner and breakfast options at the hotel are excellent. Nice whiskey collection. Rooms are comfortable though noise does carry. Fairly close to the Glasgow Airport and off High Street in Paisley.

Wedding in Coates.

Surprised to find the Hotel was a fairly old building, though saying that our stay was very comfortable. The lady on reception was extremely nice and friendly, and though we arrived before check in time, she went out of her way to get our room ready for us. She also noticed my wife was using a stick to get around, so she changed us from a room on the 2nd floor, to one on the ground floor. Which was very much appreciated.
The en suite facilities were excellent, as was the breakfast, location was great for attending a wedding in Coates (approx 300yds away) and the security was also great. Generally our hotel stay was very good.

Great stay at a lovely hotel, lovely welcome on arrival, evening 3 course meal was lovely (complements to the chef!!), bed super comfortable, shower was hot and had amazing pressure (needed after a long days work), breakfast choice was great with the Scottish breakfast being the perfect size for a hard day back at work. 100% be back for sure.

This property is quaint, but old and up a steep hill for parking - beware if driving manual. There is no elevator inside and many small hallway stairs to navigate. Spiders in bathroom and windows in need of cleaning. All in all the ppl were so nice and accommodating. There is not an airport shuttle - they will call you a cab you must fund. Area is bustling and loud if you like that.

I wish we could have stayed longer. I even offered to leave my family and stay on to help because I didn’t want to leave. (Kind of kidding.) After a whirlwind trip with lots of stops, this was our last place before we departed the UK. We decided last minute to stay at Ashtree in Paisley instead of staying in the city, and it was our best choice of the trip.
Our room was beautiful and charming with a big window overlooking the garden. We had tea and coffee and hot chocolate in the room, plus cookies! The bathrooms was luxurious, with great water pressure and a nice and hot shower while looking out to the sky.

We enjoyed some beers while we played some games in the parlor before we went to bed and got to meet some other tourists. In the morning, we were greeted with the most delicious breakfast, made to order!

Maureen, one of the owners, could not have been more gracious, caring, and kind. We felt so cared for. In a world of automated check-ins, this experience at Ashtree reminded us of why the human touch is so important. It elevates the experience and shows us that when we connect with other people, our journey is that much more meaningful and memorable. I would come back just to stay in this lovely inn.

The Ashtree is an absolutely gorgeous property, the pictures do not do it justice. From the moment I walked in I felt welcomed and cared for. My room was filled with charm and I had a beautiful view looking down onto Paisley. The chef was so kind and made the most delightful meals. History in the heart of the town.

The location was good in Paisley and the room itself was nice. But it had a strong chemical smell that was unpleasant and a bit nauseating. The real disappointment was the included breakfast. We had early flights so arranged, we thought , for breakfast at the 7:30 start. They weren’t prepared and thus we got tea/coffee and a croissant. Then, on departing we were given a bill for £20 for four tea and store bought cookie packs which we thought were complimentary. The lady was very unpleasant when we explained our misunderstanding and our disappointment on breakfast. She was anything but apologetic.

some years ago I had stayed here and had a wonderful meal in the dining room. Unfortunately, through Covid, evening meals were no longer offered due to lack of staff and the surrounding eating establishments were pretty grim. Hotel was still very nice and everything clean.

The place itself is clean, staff are friendly and the room was comfortable. The only issue is that my gps wouldn’t get me directly where I needed to be, and the area around the place is questionable. As a solo traveler I didn’t feel safe in parts of the city and a lot of the food places were closed. Hotel was perfect, area was questionable.

Beautiful hotel with wonderful staff

This hotel is a hidden gem. A real old fashioned hotel with beautiful rooms and warm, friendly service. It is very convenient to the airport and one train stop from Glasgow Central Station. Paisley is an underrated town with so many beautiful buildings and a long and storied history.
We will definitely be back and will stay at the Ashtree House Hotel again.

Nice hotel with adequate breakfast

Accommodation was very good, service at check-in was fast and efficient.
Room was of a good size and temperature just right.

Breakfast- bacon and black pudding was good however, the toast was cheap white bread and the sausage disappointing, no choice of juice and no real choice of cereals, pancakes not available.

Hotel is up a slight hill and set in a small grounds which is nice however this end of paisley is less nice and you need to wander down the the Abbey area to find anywhere that does a good evening meal

This is lovely house. It is more like a B&B although we had to pay extra for breakfast. Due to Covid there was no room cleaning so trash collected and we had to ask for more towels.

The owners could not have been more obliging and friendly, they even left me a wee note with instructions if the recommended (and great) taxi driver did not show up. Always willing to help and a wee gem of a hotel. All incredibly positive.

Place to go in Paisley

The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room we reserved was on the 2nd floor and the winding stairway to the room would not accommodate my full size suitcase. We were offered a room on the 1st floor. Unfortunately that room had not been updated. The bed was fine but the bathroom was moldy and the window would not open. We did not opt to stay a 2nd night.

The owners were outstanding…… drove me to an appointment for testing when the taxi was late. and waited while i had the COVID test completed and brought me back. if i had missed that test i would not have been able to fly home the next day. Warm and friendly owners and staff and a beautiful place to stay…. five minutes walk to the train station for a 9 minute trip to Glasgow city center. i will definitely be back….
