The room had a stunning view over the River Clyde and it was a delight to watch the sunset. The room was great, with a clean, king size bed. My only qualms with the room was that there was a moth in the bathroom upon arrival and there was no rail for the hand towel (only one hook on the back of the bathroom door for the bath towel). The walls are quite thin. I could hear my next door neighbour opening their wardrobe, running the water, and flushing the toilet.

Despite that, I would stay here again as it’s very handy for attending events at the OVO Hydro, and well connected with a train station just over the road. It’s also a nice 30 minute stroll along the river into the centre for the shops, or a lovely 20+ minute walk up to explore the west end of Glasgow.

Once again booked at Crowne Plaza and their is renovation works underway. No advance warning again. On this occasion the lifts were under service/renovation. 20 minutes waiting on lifts that were full from the floors above. I dont know what has happened to the restaurant but the meals are getting worse and this one was the worst ever experienced. The steak meal was cold, undercooked and had a skin on it from the hot plate, the other was a burger, totally inedible and certainly not worth £19. The options for eating around the Hydro is limited and this was a better appeal for the Plaza, but will certainly think twice about booking for future visits. Cannot fault the reception or service staff.

Took until 3.30 to get room serviced on 2nd day. Not convenient when you come back to rest and refresh before going out again. Room facilities good, would say the room we had was in need of an update, especially the bathroom. Breakfast I would rate as one of the best I've experienced. Drinks are expensive, and dinner service was very slow. For the prices they charge for overnights, I think there are better places in the area of higher standard to stay. While we enjoyed our visit, we would not return.

We stayed with 2 wee ones (7 months and 28 months) and the hotel provided 2 travel cots set up on arrival. We had a suite too which allowed us access to the club lounge on the 15th floor. The girl in the lounge was lovely and allowed me to take a few bits back down to our room as our kids were asleep.

Was there for Peter Kay gig. Hotel was really busy but efficient. They have a system where you can pre-order drinks for after the show and set up a dedicated table for you. It was all waiting for us when we got back.
One of the lifts wasn’t working (under refurbishment) but it was already mentioned online, so we knew what to expect. There was a huge queue for checking in and staff came round with free glasses of wine which was a nice gesture.
Overall we had a lovely stay at the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, staff friendly, my only issue was the pillows, I didn't sleep well, the pillows don't fit the bed, and are very thin, but if you put two together are you high, had a sore kneck in the morning, need to put better pillows on beds ones that fit full length of bed and are memory foam.

The stay went pretty well until the last day. The room was a bit dated and I had to ask multiple times for a replacement blowdryer as mine was broken. The restaurant was great and vegetarian friendly. When I checked in I was warned an elevator was out due to construction and there would be construction noise during my stay. All fine. But one day I come back to my room around noon to join a work call- my room door is open and a team of 6 construction workers is actively drilling in my room. I was given no notice of this, so my jewelry and dirty laundry were out for all to see. I also had had my do not disturb sign on the door. I told the men I needed my room back to join a work call- they said sorry, cant do,work has to be done today. I reported the issue to hotel management that I was concerned my room was unavailable to me during that period, as well as the obvious safety and privacy concerns of people entering my room without notice, in a nonemergency circumstance. Message I got from the hotel was they didnt tell folks on my floor that all rooms on my floor were being worked on that day as they also had no advance notice. But someone knew or else the construction crew wouldnt have had access to my room. Ive been doing business travel for decades and this was bizarre, never had an experience like it. Next time I am in town, I'll stay elsewhere.

We sent this email last week with no response
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding our recent stay, which was significantly disrupted by ongoing works within the hotel.

We had taken annual leave specifically to enjoy a restful break; however, from approximately 8:15 am onwards, the level of noise was extreme and continuous. There was constant drilling, chiselling, and heavy construction noise coming from multiple rooms surrounding ours, with a large number of contractors working directly outside and across from our room. The scale and intensity of the work were impossible to ignore it felt as though we were placed in the middle of an active construction zone rather than a hotel environment. For that reason, after breakfast, we decided to check out and go.

While I understand that maintenance and upgrades are sometimes necessary, it is completely unreasonable to allocate guests to a room in the centre of such extensive works. It was clear that multiple surrounding rooms were undergoing refurbishment at the same time, and this should have been anticipated and managed in a way that did not impact guests to this extent.

The level of disruption was unacceptable and entirely undermined the purpose of our stay. What should have been a relaxing break was instead a very frustrating and stressful experience.

The hotel is next to the SEC and we stayed one night for a concert.
We stayed in a Premium room on a high floor with a stunning river view.
The room was well appointed and presented, but the fan in the bathroom (which is always on) and the older-style aircon were very noisy.
Sadly the soundproofing isn’t great and we could hear quite a lot from other rooms.
The bar area is nice, but the staff couldn’t keep up with demand and they all seemed like they didn’t want to be there. There were very long queues when we returned from the gig.
Breakfast was ok, and efficient, but we were disappointed in the continental choices, especially the pastries. The cooked selection was better.
A good hotel for convenience to the SEC, but it has now been overtaken in terms of quality by its newer neighbours.

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Glasgow was fantastic from start to finish and I loved everything about this hotel. I stayed on the Club level and really enjoyed the lounge access in the evening. It was a great space to relax with beer and wine along with light appetizers, which made for a very pleasant way to unwind after a day out in the city.
One of my favorite parts of the hotel was the leisure facilities. The pool area was spotless and very relaxing. Having access to the hot tub, sauna, and steam room made it feel like a full spa experience after a long day exploring Glasgow.
The location is also incredibly convenient. The hotel sits right next to the hop on hop off bus stop which made sightseeing around the city very easy. It is also beside major concert and recreation venues which makes it perfect if you are attending an event. Despite being in such a lively area the rooms were impressively quiet and peaceful, making it easy to get a great night’s sleep.
Overall I had a wonderful stay with excellent facilities, a great location, and very comfortable quiet rooms. I would happily stay here again when visiting.

We were next to the service lift and it squealed every time when in use,which was regular from the early hours in the morning. The staff were also talking loudly through the wall. A room above us was obviously being renovated and the sound of hammering and drills was constant throughout the day. Not a peaceful stay

The hotel was okay. Very close to the SEC so useful for conferences. However, the room was a little dated and needed refreshing.
I was supposed to have a queen bed but it seemed more like a double. The mattress was hard and the pillows were hard/lumpy. The duvet was also very hot to sleep under.
The temperature control was old and was very loud - there was no automatic switch off when it got to temperature.
The elevators were incredibly slow and mostly broken so we had to use the service lifts. There was also relentless drilling throughout the day during most days of my week long stay.
The food in the kitchen was good, but my overall experience was not.

Room shabby, service in restaurant slow and staff appeared untrained. Quality of English was poor. Lifts defunct, air conditioning in room noisy. Only positive is location to OVO arena. Would not stay here again. Important to note that service was so bad in restaurant we did not tip which is rare for us but when we checked out the waiter had added a service charge even though we signed without leaving any! We refused to pay of course. That smacks of dishonesty.

Booked in for a birthday treat with grandchildren. Enjoyed the pool. Room was adequate, however, duvet covers appeared too small for the bed. We ate in the hotel restaraunt which was a huge disappointment. Had to embarrass a staff member into taking our order. The restaraunt was not busy. The waiter brought the main courses out at the same time as the starter. When we pointed this ge refused to taje the main course away. In fact he refused twice and the third request threw a hissy fit while removing the main course. Very disappointed in the experience, especially given it was gir a specific occasion.

Reception staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a problem with our heating which was promptly resolved.
The leisure club was very busy, but it was the school holidays so probably to be expected.
We ate in the hotel on both nights. Service was a bit slow and food was average. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice.
Overall a good stay in a convenient location.

Room was pleasant- air conditioning was not efficient and extremely loud. Saturday room was not cleaned until 3.30pm but we had to get ready to go out early so had to ask someone to clean it quickly at that time. Sunday room was not cleaned at all and we had gone out and left towels on the floor expecting clan ones when we got back so I had phone reception and ask for fresh towels and refreshment refills. The bar was a lovely area and had a nice vibe. Breakfast was over priced for what was on offer.

When entering the hotel we met a lovely receptionist called Maria, she was so helpful, we got into our room early, the room was spotless, we had dinner and breakfast at the hotel also, the service at dinner was excellent, breakfast was self service, there was plenty of choice, and the cooked food was all tasty, the haggis was a great touch for burns day, we will definitely be returning, we will be recommending the hotel to family and friends

Located right next to the SEC, it’s easy to find, has a decent sized and reasonably priced car park and covered walkway to reception. My room, allegedly a Premium Kingsize, was very disappointing. 2 single beds posted together should not be described as a king size bed!! The shower over the bath was terrible! Not just weak water pressure but the 3 x soap dispensers, soap dish and hand rail on the wall made it impossible to move without hitting something. Dinner was overpriced but ok. Breakfast was also average. With about 6 other hotels in the area, this place needs to do better.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious and the dining areas very comfortable. Pool and Sauna was great. I felt the floor in the changing rooms a bit slippy so would recommend flip flops. A spinner for wet costumes would also be useful for those intending pool/sauna use on arrival and next day.

Hot tub was dirty and broken round the edges, could do with some maintenance, the room vent was really dirty, bathroom sink dirty, and bathroom could have done with a bit of work, air conditioning had water dripping from it which required putting a towel down, lifts in hotel werent working and were under maintance overall really disappointed
