The room had a weird smell. The elevators were broken a few times. There was no toilet paper. The sheets had stains. Felt unsafe as well. There were men who were not staying at the hotel using the outside lobby as a smoking area despite it being forbidden.

Hotel is a good location next to Charing Cross station. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming and checked us in early as we had an early flight. In general the place was clean despite being slightly run down. The room had tea and coffee facilities, hair dryer, mini fridge, iron and ironing board and the bed was comfy. We were quite surprised by the massive(!!) tv on the wall which seems very out of place. The hotel would look and feel better if their budget was spent on paint and maintenance rather than such extravagant entertainment.
The breakfast was offered a lot of choice but wasn’t very fresh so some of the bread and pastries were stale.
Lastly, the hotel was being used to accommodate asylum seekers which we were not notified of during the booking or upon check in which I feel was misleading.

When we arrived at reception, there were two staff members behind the counter, neither of which acknowledged us. One got up and walked away, while the other kept working, right in front of us. No acknowledgement we were there. Eventually they decided to acknowledge we were there!
The room was tired looking with lots of marks on the window sill, bath and shelving. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was nice. Would not stay again, especially at the price we paid.

My latest stay here and was on the top floor this time, meaning I had a brilliant view. Perfect to see how close it was to The Hydro where I was going to a concert. I usually get the train to the hotel but as I had a liitle time from my bus arriving and my check-in I decided to walk from Buchanan Bus station. It was closer than I thought to the city centre.

It was necessary to ask 3 times for toilet paper. Even then, the room was not serviced with coffee replacements or trash emptied. Hotel was advertised as having a bar and restaurant, neither of which is true. They have a fair breakfast, but no restaurant for other meals or a bar. Very disappointed in this misrepresentation as it caused extra stress finding meals within walking distance for two seniors.

Stayed here due to a cancelled train. Paid £130 for the pleasure. Bed was stained and plug hole was completely blocked by hairs. Not sure when it was cleaned. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Excellent location! Close to a lot of bars, clubs, shopping and restaurants as well as a subway line. I did think it was strangethat there was no attempt to perform room service while we were staying there. It was only four days so it wasn’t a big deal and I don’t like being disturbed, but I would’ve thought that they would’ve tried to clean the room it at some point.. it’s a value hotel so I wasn’t expecting anything fancy. There was also an issue with the room key. We went back twice and had the key even replaced, but at any given time there was only one key that worked.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Over a 4-night stay, the bed sheets were never changed, and there was no room cleaning at all — not even basic housekeeping in the morning. Towels were not replaced, and despite requesting it, toilet tissue was never provided on the third day.
The room lacked even a basic telephone, making communication with the front desk difficult. To make matters worse, the receptionist was rude and unhelpful when we raised these issues.
Overall, a very poor experience. I would not recommend staying here.

The property has lots of public transport options . But the main highlight is its staff. I was greeted by hotel staff Kate who was so lovely. I had some medical issues and she went above and beyond to check me in early and made sure my room had the necessary facilities to keep me comfortable. Such staff deserve a medal for their excellence

Terrible, staff are so, so rude, rooms dirty and outdated, full of assylum seekers. One member of staff told me to park my work vehicle in the alley next to the hotel, woke up this morning to a note on my windscreen and a maintenance man screaming and shouting at myself and my wife, absolutely no respect, I've never been spoken to so rudely in a hotel. Never stay again...

Nice staff. The room cleanliness isn’t horrible, but it also isn’t the best. There is a pretty consistent ticking noise that in the room. The walls are also pretty thin. Those 2 things prevented me from having a good night sleep.

Hotel is a bit dated could do with some work, especially as the roof had fell apart and a bucket was collecting leakage right outside our door. But no big deal. The room was spacious, clean and beds were very comfortable. The shower could be better but it has a bath which is not common in alot of hotels i believe. Just off sauchiehall street, behind the kings theatre so very close to everything you're needing for your time in Glasgow. Plenty restaurants and bars nearby.

Improvements have been made, but the fact that you can’t control the heating in the rooms - not good - far TOO HOT!! You can’t open windows (totally understand why).

Night out in Glasgow to watch SA V England. Booked the hotel before reading some of the previous reviews and then thought should i cancel but only one night so ventured forth. On arrivel on the website said 4pm booked in but we arrived at 3pm and staff were happy to inform us that was okay and checkout was later at 11am. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was tidy and clean though alittle on the small side would be my only issue. Also bar was closed due to upgrade apparently but there is a pub restuarnt right oppsite the hotel. Actually not a bad stay at all and would book it again BTW the parking next door is half price if you saty at the hotel and they endorse the ticket.

The staff were very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. I asked to change rooms as the room I was given initially smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The staff gave me a different room straight away, without question, which was clean, comfortable, and nicely furnished. I wasn't in any way made to feel like I was being awkward. And they gave really helpful suggestions for where I could go for food. Thanks very much to the kind staff.

The hotel advertised free wifi which was false and was an inconvenience for me to get some work down. You had to pay £7 for 24 hours of free wifi or go to the restaurant/bar to access for \"free\". I had to use my own data as a hotspot. My room had paper thin walls and I could hear noises of the highway and the running trains. My only pro for this place is that it was conveniently located next door to the Charing Cross train station. Also not an inconvenience but I found it strange that the TV was small. I felt like I was staying in a college dorm room. There were only 2 outlets in the room for me to plug in my devices. Also the middle lift made a scary sound when the door closed or opened.

The room was very dated, with a minuscule TV and tired paintwork, and chipped wood. The seat was covered in crumbs, there was long strands of congealed hair in the toilet bowl, and around the toilet seat - pretty grim. Obviously, the toilet / shower hadn't been cleaned.
There was a black bin liner and empty lager boxes stuffed under the bed. Dismal and depressing room, even if cleaned. Overall, feel of the room was an 1980's remand centre / young offenders institute / borstal.

I recently stayed at this hotel for 10 days. The staff at the reception were professional, welcoming, and always had a smile. I want to give special thanks to the two ladies who checked me in on the evening of September 22nd.
My room was spacious and had all the basic necessities. I was glad to find an electric kettle, something that I have not found in other hotels in Glasgow (hard to believe, right?).
Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but I was disappointed with the cleaning staff. Firstly, they didn't clean the room every day, even after reminding them every morning before 9 am. Additionally, when they did clean the room, they never replaced the used cups despite my daily requests at the reception. The way they made the bed looked like it was done by children. After a hard day at work, I expected the room to be immaculate. I'm not fussy, and I understand if they miss one or two things, but it seems like the cleaning department and the cleaning manager have not set any standards for the staff.
