The room was freezing cold. It was also noisy. You could hear the music from nearby pubs and the adjoining room. It felt like they were in the same room. We complained to the receptionist about the room temperature only not be told room was fine. Eventually after complaining they brought us a heater up.

The room was poor, the heating didnt work (the staff helped and provided a small fan heater), two of the lights in the room didnt work, the walls were stained, and the desk chair also had horrible brown stains. The room itself was great, only annoying part was the daily cleaning - the bed was roughly made and my dirty coffee cups were just left without anything being replenished! They do have extra coffee and milk etc in reception but would be nice to have in room already. But over all I was pretty happy with my stay!

We had no heat in our rooms the first night, so the staff brought in portable heaters. Then, the next day we had no hot water. The manager did not charge us for one night of our stay. He was very apologetic.

Also, my daughter's reservation was not in their records. It turns out she canceled the credit card she used to reserve the room and opened another. Instead of contacting her to say the card was denied and ask for another form of payment, they cancelled both night's reservations. The Hampton had no rooms available for our stay, so she had to find another hotel to book a room.

Checked in good, dropped bags and went to the theatre. On our return the musty smell in the room was intolerable. Staff were good offering a reduction, however we declined as it was very unpleasant and clearly had a problem. This is a great hotel in a great location..handy for the centre, the Concert Hall, Sauchiehall Street & Buchanan Galleries and is an easy 10 minute walk from Buchanan Bus Station.

Ended up checking out the night before we should have left, the AC had packed in and the windows were locked - on a 26ºc day the room was like a death trap. Bed was so lightweight it moved across the floor when you sit on it, and really firm. The bathroom was from the 90's and was given a disabled access room, meaning the toilet was not even 7 inches away from the sink making it near impossible to sit on it without wedging your knee under. Then the final straw was stepping out of the shower to 3 tiles that had obviously given way on the joist underneath, so sank and nipped my foot as the tiles went together.
The place is tired, the staff couldn't really care less - but the breakfast and location is excellent.

The morning front office and breakfast staff were excellent in all respects - efficiency; friendliness; helpfulness; attitude towards guests etc. Sadly this did not extend to the afternoon/evening crew: never greeted incoming guests with a smile on returning over 4 days; guests were treated as an inconvenience to deal with; not welcomed with a smile on checking in - sign here 3 times; lifts around the corner first door on right; here are your keys; bye! Arrived on a very wet night with several bags; cab driver very helpful but was chewed out by a male supervisor for putting a bag against an automatic door but made no effort to move it or take to reception to assist couple in mid-70's; just kept scowling. Thanks so much. Welcome to the Hampton. Observed this same attitude to other incoming guests - not an isolated case at all. Morning crew 5/5; evening 2/5 and being generous. Breakfast food selection good and replenished quickly; tables cleaned promptly; staff friendly and courteous. Maintenance staff fixed a door issue promptly but liaison was with morning crew. Certainly a mixed bag. Rooms are smallish but adequate and housekeeping done efficiently. Maybe management could observe for them selves discreetly and make some changes in attitudes.

The hotel is in a great location with shopping and dining options in easy walking distance, Also only a 10-15 minute walk to the train station. Hot breakfast is good with plenty of options. Staff was helpful and generally friendly. Hotel felt very safe. Hotel and room itself was clean and comfortable. The only issue we experienced was with housekeeping failing to leave enough towels on the second night, and also failed to replace the two glasses in the room which had clearly been used by us. Front desk staff took care of the towel issue, delivering more than enough towels after we reported it. This issue caused me to ding them one star in the \"cleanliness\" category, but I still give the hotel 5 stars overall.

I had an awful experience at this hotel. On one occasion, none of my towels were changed, and the room wasn't even cleaned or made up. That is completely unacceptable for any hotel.

As for breakfast – don’t even bother. If you show up around 8 a.m., most of the food is already gone. When I raised this issue with the staff, I was shocked by their response: “If you don't like what's here, you can go eat elsewhere.” I’ve never been spoken to like that in my life, especially by hotel staff.

This place seriously lacks basic hospitality and professionalism, and it's clear that guest satisfaction isn't a priority. I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone.

The room was cold in parts, the fan heating only heats the main room so the Toilet & corridor were cold. There is no hotel parking so had to park in a private carpark at £27 for 24hrs so a bit expensive

Just an overnight, overall the stay was good. We checked in late afternoon, and were back out for a meal before going to the theatre, so we didn't spend a lot of time there, however the room was nice, a good size and spotless.
We used the bar later on, the prices were pretty normal for a city centre hotel in Glasgow, and the staff were friendly.
The only issue we had was that the shower was terrible. No matter how we tried to adjust the temperature knob we could only get a trickle of luke warm water. It was only possible to get a proper flow of water by lowering the temperature to fully cold, which was not pleasant. When we checked out, I expected to be asked if everything was ok, but I was not asked.
