We were not told that George's Square (one of the main reasons we stayed here) was totally closed for construction. We had to park 10 min away and roll our luggage from there to the hotel. The dining room was not open - when I asked the clerk why they showed a restaurant for dinner on site, he said, 'well, we have one, it is just not open at all'.

Lovely stay - friendly helpful staff, spotless room and so comfortable and spacious. Central location right next to train station so ideal for shops and restaurants. Only drawback was no hot water in sink or shower and bathroom felt cold as heated towel rail wasn’t on.

Food options were non existent, no restaurant and when we went for breakfast we were told we couldn't get fried eggs as they were needed for the next day. When we queried this the story changed to there wasn't any and when we asked to be refunded for the cost suddenly we were told we could get them. We still took a refund as the attitude from the staff was less than helpful. The road outside the hotel was under repair so access wasn't great, definitely won't be returning and couldn't recommend the hotel.

Hotel really is on the centre of everything. So handy for train and bus stations. You’ve got everything you need on your doorstep. Bars restaurants cinemas etc etc. Our was fabulous. Asked for walk in shower and it was way over our expectations. Staff all very courteous too. Would hesitate to return

Room was comfortable and spotless. Reception staff were excellent and I was extremely touched by them leaving a birthday card for me upon checkin. The downsides were the breakfast (no vegetarian breakfast for my husband despite being told otherwise), the room was absolutely freezing overnight and then melting hot by morning, and access for wheelchair guests is extremely embarrassing and pulls staff away from the front desk. Although gowns and slippers are advertised, these feel like wrapping yourself in wire wool and are not sized for guests without short arms or above a size 10 dress size

Lack of vegetarian cooked food, Nobody checked if we had any needs, just told to sit anywhere and help ourselves. Room was clean, just a bit tired. Staff were all lovely. Pillows were dreadful, so lumpy! Standard lamp in corner of room would only work when ceiling light was on which rather defeats the purpose of having it! 2 sockets were not working.

We stay overnight in Glasgow a few times a year and it’s the first time we’ve stayed at the Millenium. Won’t be staying here again as the rooms are very tired and there are many modern, fresher hotels in the city centre at a lower price.
Room decor, particularly bathroom was poor and in need of refurbishment. The lifts had ‘new’ controllers held on with cable ties and old tatty ‘Covid’ related notices were posted outside the lifts. Overall, the place doesn’t look loved.

Very basic. The noise from other hotel rooms made it difficult to get to sleep - the walls are paper thin. Only half a roll of toilet paper on my 1st night - I was there for 3 nights.

No windows that open so room did get too hot at times.

Hotel is well situated in city centre an d next to train station.

We stayed here 5 years ago and was looking forward to returning but what a let down. Although rooms had been painted the furniture was damaged & toilet didn't flush properly. The front of house staff weren't as nice and happy as last time. On check out we asked if we could get a coffee to be told the bar wasn't manned as it was Saturday and it would be busy in the evening (it's advertised on their website that the bar is open 24hrs) so leaving customers don't seem to matter sadly also it would have been nice to let customers know about the work in St George's Square as we were woken every morning to hammering and vehicles reversing at about 7.30-8.00 am. We paid extra for a city view. So disappointed after our last stay. Only person's who were pleasant was the cleaners.

Fantastic stay!! George square is in complete disarray due to construction which made the city view less appealing, but still beautiful skyline. The construction also made the area surrounding a bit more precarious to navigate, but all is well. Just be aware when booking if that’s an issue for you. Cheers!

Reception staff incredibly helpful, room overlooking George Sq was spacious. The decor and furniture in room was a little dated but the important things like comfy bed, excellent soundproofing and cleanliness were excellent. Price was competitive and location is superb. Your recption staff are a credit to the hotel (housekeeping too). The eco friendly options for room was great....and observed! Well done Millenium you did Glasgow proud!

Hotel seems to be living on it's glory days and could do with some TLC. Elevator panels literally zip-tied to the wall and paintwork that needs refreshing.
Our room was at the front of the property and there was a lot of noise coming in (I've stated in similarly old and located properties without this issue). The room had adjoining rooms both sides with just single doors, so again, any noise from the other rooms could be heard... drowned out only by the noisy heating fan.
The hotel itself seems nice, service is fine and I didn't eat in the hotel but I wouldn't actively look to stay here again.

I was expecting a lot more than we got based on the pictures and star rating of the hotel on this site. It wasn’t great. Elevator was sketchy, the hotel bar couldn’t make even a basic cocktail, and they only serve a very mediocre buffet breakfast. The room had a shower that wouldn’t drain, the carpet has holes in it, and the entire establishment looks like it hasn’t had any attention since the late 70’s.
Not going to stay here again, as it was not at all worth the price they charge.

Good breakfast. Staff professional and helpful. We rented two rooms. My daughter said there were small moth like bugs in her room. She alerted the staff when we checked out so I am sure it has been handled. Shops just a couple of blocks away as well as several restaurants and pubs. The train station was right next door.

THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE FELT LIKE ‘WELL YOUR HERE WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? THAT WAS THE FEELING FROM CHECK IN TO CHECK OUT WITH BREAKFAST IN BETWEEN. THE BREAKFAST FOOD WAS AWFUL & THE SURROUNDINGS & AMBIANCE OF BREAKFAST WERE JUST AS BAD. THE ROOM WAS LARGE BUT TIRED & DATED WITH ONLY ONE SOCKET AVAILABLE OPPOSITE WHERE THE BED WAS SITUATED! Proximity to train and dining was excellent. Staff was excellent and room was clean and comfortable. Very spacious and quiet room. The hotel and room was in need of a serious upgrade. The carpet was thread bare and overall the room needed updating. However, the entire staff particularly Alasdair (sp?) In the dining room and Uri in the bar were helpful, informative and engaging.
