Hotel very convenient for bus station and entertainment venues such as the Pavilion, the Royal concert Hall, and the Theatre Royal. Enjoyed the quirky decor and the appearance of the hotel inside. Staff were helpful at check-in and in the bar.The room would have benefited from having tea making facilities in it, and there wasn’t even a plastic cup to be able to have a drink of water, so I feel that could’ve been improved.

Room was clean, but a little old feeling. The staff was great, there was an issue with the key cards when I arrived (they weren't working) , but the staff were vigilant in making sure that they were available to escort me to my room and let me in with the master key. Thankfully that only happened the first evening I was there. It also appeared that only one of the elevators was working. Despite being on a \"high floor\" (the 5th) the noise from the street could still be heard, which didn't bother me, but I could see how someone expecting quiet could be bothered by it. Overall a good stay, the hotel is located near shops, restaurants, and the Buchanan bus terminal.

The first bad experience I've ever had attending a hotel in the entire 10 years. Usually, I book a hotel for attending a concert and after arriving I just wanted to relax. Bare in mind, this was booked months in advance and was an exciting day as we were arriving to see the Deftones concert.
After arriving, the very rude staff member with the long hair and an accent asked me for ID, I showed him my NEC Card (which is a disability card for anxiety) and he outright declined it telling me he requires a passport, something I don't own as I'm scared of flying, so don't need one.. the then told me to show him a drivers license, I don't carry one as I don't drive so said I can show him a photo.. which he again declined.
After telling me to sit down and phoning the manager, he told me the manager declined us as we can't prove our ages (I'm in my 30s..) and he wanted a young scot card (commonly for people 21 or under).. I felt interrogated and increasingly anxious and he essentially just wanted us to leave. This staff members tone was dismissive and patronizing, I didn't know what to do. I booked this months in advance with my same bank card I had on me.
It was now 30 minutes until we leave for the concert and we were asked to leave being stranded in Glasgow with no where else to book last minute carrying heavy luggage we can't exactly bring to a concert (which would have been a 30 minutes walk too) and the entire night was ruined after months of looking forward to this

The lounge is a wonderful place to relax - I've not seen another hotel with such a large and comfortable lounge - it's like a real living room, and rarely busy so you're almost guaranteed to be able to spread out with a coffee and the papers!

The hotel is ok, nice modern features as with all citizenM hotels. However the maintenance is poor. Door handles hanging off, bedside tables look like they have been chewed by a dog & the blackout blinds were rubbish as they were so bent they let the light in anyway. The room can be controlled via an iPad however this proves difficult when the charger for the iPad is broken.
You can order food from the bar downstairs which is great for a quick dinner.
Overall the hotel is good for a quick stopover but I wouldn’t want to stay more than a night.

The bathroom door wouldn't close and the thick layer ifdust at the window/bed was disgusting. The staff were also unable to stamp my parking ticket despite advising me to park there costing me more money.

For me, this hotel isn't quite perfect - but the positives far outweigh the negatives. The real negatives are pretty minor - but mainly it is about the ipad controls for the room. It's gimmicky and a bit pointless. It's never going to be quicker to log into an ipad, find the section for say lighting and then adjust it - than just flicking a switch in the room. I guess the idea is that this is modern, but it seems a bit daft when you find there are no USB outlets in the room. I guess I don't mind the idea of a self service check in too - some might gripe - but since I wasn't really sure what I was doing, the receptionist pretty much had to steer me through it anyway, so I guess for frequent users this is great - but for me, again, didn't really add much.
With that said though - the room was lovely. I liked the bed, it was comfortable - and crucially, the room was quiet and I got a great sleep.
I used the co-working space on the 1st floor and it was great. The wifi is great - I had no problems getting connected, and I was able to do some video calls no problem.
Finally, the breakfast was absolutely outstanding. A really great variety with options I think to suit many (I saw vegan croissants!) It was really delicious and about the only thing I can criticise is that were I to stay here too long, I would gain weight.

This is definitely a style over substance experience. No in room facilities for making tea/coffee , no drinking water or even a glass to use with the tap water. No ironing facilities to use in the room, you have to stand at the end of the corridor and use one hardwired in to a wall.

Check in very smooth. All done on ipad. Receptionist very helpful with a nice manner. Room spotless and very quiet considering located on front. Did struggle a bit with at first as everything controlled by ipad. Paid extra for breakfast but have had better choice of cooked items. Did not see any gluten free options, although to be fair I didn't ask. Hotel is quirky and is well located for all amenities.

Overall, our stay at citizenM was great. It was located in a great, central part of the city and easy walking to restaurants, attractions, bus stops, etc. About a 12 minute walk to Queen Street station. The room was cozy - very compact and not a lot of extra space at all but they had a nice lounge. Check in was easy and the front desk team were helpful. Room was mostly spotless but found some pink hairs on the sheets (they stood out!) that weren't from my blonde head.

so IF you are into tech, then you will probably LOVE the property _ I am almost 70 & HECK NO, I do NOT want to use an i-tingy to control every aspect of room activation. Comfort was great, lounge areas awesome, walkability to EVERYTHING, minutes away. I had to check myself in, create my room key etc ETC. We even had to call in I.T. to help us operate the t.v. which SHE couldn't figure out. They maybe need to go back to drawing board, to look at CANCELLATION options OR as I guess they would call it, a system upgrade.

This hotel has a very cool design and is very high tech. I can imagine that it would be harder for older folks to figure out the technology in the rooms. We did not eat the breakfast there but it looked amazing!! It is also centrally located.

We stayed for one night and the Hotel was fine for what it is. The public areas (reception, sitting areas, canteen etc..) we're really nice & stylish. Staff we are encountered were all good too. The rooms are fine but nothing too fancy. Bed being in the back corner is a bit awkward having to climb over each other but it's done to maximise the space I suppose. The bed is really comfy & the blackout blinds were good. Shower was good but the bathroom set up might not be for everyone - not a lot of privacy with it being in the corner of the room and just being frosted glass. All in all it was a good stay

Only downfall was the temperature in our room; it was too warm despite having the setting on the coolest option. Management didn’t help. But did bring us a fan. Couldn't offer another room due to full occupancy. Everything in room is managed by a tablet which is limiting.

I stayed for 3 nights on a business trip. The room was clean and the location close to the city was convenient. However, only one elevator was working during my stay, which was inconvenient, and the bathroom fan couldn’t be turned off, which might bother light sleepers.

It was great for one night but room would feel cramped if staying for longer. Wasn't familiar with the citizenM hotels so it was a novelty but I can see how that would run out pretty quickly. Great techology in the room with the lights/curtains/tv being controlled on an ipad but it didn't 100% of the tine. Tv channels were hit and miss and a few were in german (plus no BBC?). So overall, convenient and great location, but prefered the hotel next door

Bed was huge and comfy. Nothing bad to say except that the selection of TV channels is not great and most of them break up or freeze a lot.
