What a place! We stay in Glasgow every month or so but this was our first stay at The Dakota! Absolutely superb. Attention to detail is brilliant, but it’s the staff that make this place- true five star service! We booked a signature suite and it was beautiful. Turn down service, well stocked complimentary mini bar - huge bathroom, with feature bath tub. We loved Jacks (the cocktail bar), super menu and service. We booked the Dakota grill for dinner and it was superb. We usually head to Porter and Rye in Glasgow for a steak, (which is always fab), but Dakota was equally as good. Again great service, the sides are delicious and the steaks (fillet, CB) were prepared to perfection. Can’t wait to stay here again!

I’ve stayed at Dakota hotels before and they were quite good. This was… a very bad experience.
The rooms are quite dark, even with all the lights on, and they require a keycard inserted to turn the electricity on, similar to a La Quinta Inn back in 2005. I can understand a budget hotel having this design, but when you choose a 4- or 5-star hotels it should allow you to avoid such hassles. Further, the cleaning crew would come in daily and remove my card and take it leaving me without electricity and one less keycard. Twice they left the windows of my room open so I came back to a freezing ice cave. Every day I would ask the front desk if they could tell the cleaning crew to stop taking my key card and every day the cleaning crew took it.l
The location is somewhat industrial and not at all as nice as the central station area. I’d recommend you find something there.
I had a sweater sent to be dry cleaned and it came back with HUGE holes in it. When I showed it to the front desk the woman promised to take care of it. But later she called me and argued that it was not cashmere because the label says wool and that they shouldn’t owe me so much money. They destroyed my only sweater in a very cold country and you’re arguing with me about a $20 difference in refunded money? How tactless! In the end they confiscated the sweater as evidence and didn't provide me with enough money to buy a new one. so I feel like this was handled in a way that left a very bad taste in my mouth.

From the bathroom accent nightlight and heated towel racks, to complimentary waters and spacious clean and quiet rooms with soft close doors so you don't hear your neighbor guests coming and going, this hotel checks just about every box for me. I was extremely happy to stay at the Dakota Glasgow. Bonus points for having Sky sports on the TV which let me watch my NFL team play live. I also appreciated the gym discount to a massive full service gym 3 blocks away for only 5 pounds. I would definitely stay here again and will look for other Dakota hotels as this was my first time staying here. Also the staff were all really friendly and really helpful. I wish my other hotels were this awesome during my stay in Scotland. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We had a really comfortable stay at Dakota Glasgow. We were travelling with our nine month old baby, and the cot provided was excellent – they even included extra blankets for her and a teddy bear. The bed was also very comfortable.

( which for this property and the prices paid is not right). when asked to stay till noon we were charge 20 GBP which was about 40.00 Canadian .... Would not stay here because of this ... we travel here 2 times a year and thought we would try this hotel ... We will stick with the Kimton just brown the road.

Hotel looks pretty new, room was spacious, with a (super dusty) nespresso machine, a plus. It’s black on the outside, black or painted very dark on the inside including the room, so it feels pretty cavernous and dim. Location is not great, next to student dorms and a couple of cheaper hotels. Easy to get Ubers or taxis, but walk to nicer parts of town is 20mn or more. Lots of construction in the area currently, which affects traffic.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel! Nothing was too much effort for the staff and there was a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Our only slight (extremely minor) criticism is that the rooms and the bathroom were really dark! I think there was muted lighting to add to the relaxing luxurious mood and decor, though having the option of some better lighting would be nice (for doing makeup, for example).

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely amenities! The heated towel rack in the bathroom was amazing along with the rain shower! The bed however had too soft pillows and a very hard bed. Loved that there were blankets on end of bed to snuggle with. It was chilly outside! It is in a good walking location from the bus too and restaurants! Service in the bar was terrible but the front desk staff was efficient and thorough. Overall we enjoyed our stay! Love Glasgow!

I literally can't fault this hotel at all! The staff were so friendly and genuine from the moment I arrived. I was checking in and had a pleasant surprise of being upgraded to a suite for my stay, check in was easy and quick. Finding the room was easy. The room was absolutely immaculate and beautiful, the bed was so so comfortable. I ordered room service at one point which was delivered super quickly with no fuss. The staff also had a birthday card and treat sent up to my room while I was out with no knowledge from me!! Such a lovely touch and made my day!! On checking out it was super simple and quick again. The staff were so friendly and nothing was any trouble. I had such a great stay, can't recommend enough, thank you Dakota!!
