Hotel public areas and room very clean. Did mark down condition only because the room had a few scuff marks in various places, probably caused by clumsy quests but also curtain was also not on track so looked a bit messy. All staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast ran well, plenty of food available and good choice, not the top quality ingredient but acceptable and a good start to the day. Staff were on top of clearing tables and topping up foods, well done all. It took a bit of getting used to using room key to get lift to move up to rooms but was easily mastered.

The Maldron Glasgow city is centrallylocated between the Queen Street and Central Glasgow stations. 20 minute walk to the Glasgow Cathedral. 30 minute walk to KelvinGrove Park. An oasis in the heart of a busy downtown full of shops and restaurants. We ate most our meals at the restaurant because the food was good and the service was excellent. I would absolutely stay at a Maldron again.

Stayed overnight after a concert at the Hydro. While the room was spacious and the location ideal, the service fell short.

The fire alarm went off at 12.30am with no information from staff about what was happening. After several minutes it stopped, but the disruption made it difficult to get back to sleep.

What frustrated me most was the checkout experience. I wasn’t given any apology or explanation, yet I heard other guests being offered both apologies and generous discounts for the inconvenience. This inconsistent approach to customer service was really disappointing.

Maldron hotel is a beautiful hotel, very clean and easy to get to. The biggest issue I had was the room was far too hot, I asked reception for a fan but there was none available so they told me that they would turn the heating down for me. Unfortunately it didn’t go down and the room stayed at 19°c the whole night. I did turn the AC off and open the window, but kept waking up due to the heat.

We stayed at Maldron Hotel Glasgow City for Valentine’s weekend while visiting Glasgow, and overall we had a lovely experience.

The staff were absolutely wonderful – friendly, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. The food was very good, and our room was spotless with amazing city views, which made the weekend feel extra special.

The only drawback was that the room was quite cold at night. The thermostat doesn’t go above 23°C, but it honestly felt closer to 16–17°C in the room. The team kindly provided us with a portable heater, which did help somewhat, and we appreciated their effort to resolve it.

Unfortunately, my wife has Raynaud’s and systemic sclerosis, so the cold temperature did cause her some discomfort and pain. It would be great if the heating could be improved or adjusted during colder months to ensure guests are fully comfortable.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay thanks to the excellent staff and cleanliness, and with a small improvement to the heating, it would have been perfect.

The room was a good size and tea/coffee making facilties were offered.The bed was comfortable and bedlinen was clean.
Negatives were the shower tray needed a better clean as it was mouldy in parts. Also an awful view out of the window at a construction site with a hotel being built, though this isnt the hotels fault.
The reception and bar area was clean and welcoming and the hotel is positioned quite central. All in all we had a pleasant stay.
