The hotel's in a prime central location within walking distance to plenty of clubs, restaurants and shops. It's everything you need for an overnight stay. Unfortunately for having communal bathrooms, one stall's lock is broken and another was out of toilet paper which was a bit of a bother considering there was three stalls overall.

DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT stay in this hotel on Friday or Saturday night. There is a nightclub directly below and the booming dance music will keep you awake until 3 AM and then about an hour and a half after that, the club goers are out on the street in front of your hotel screaming and yelling and still partying. You will not be able to sleep until 4:30 in the morning - it is horrible. F***ing horrible. You might as well be inside the club trying to sleep. I paid for two nights at this hotel in a private room with a private bathroom. I left after the first night of staying there (Friday night). I did not care that it was nonrefundable. It was worth it to pay for a more expensive hotel and lose that money I paid the Revolver for Saturday night. I cannot speak for the other nights of the week. I was not there. But I will never stay at this hotel again. NEVER.

I rebooked after a brilliant stay in their Apartment before, but this was not the experience I hoped for. Room wasn't what I'd requested, they did offer to move me the second day but wasn't really worth it so I stayed put. I appreciated the offer though. Shared bathroom was one tiny toilet (smelt horrendous, didn't look clean) with shower and sink between ALL the rooms on that floor. The only other one was out of service. Whole place was boiling hot it was obnoxious and no air con. Otherwise generally fine but wouldn't recommend unless you go for the apartment or a room with en suite. The entry way stank of smoke, and the whole time there were about 20 bags of laundry stacked up cluttering the place, clearly their pickup never came. Sadly disappointing compared to previous.

Super clean and very comfortable — it felt more like a hotel than a hostel. The bed was excellent, and the staff were really nice and welcoming. I also really enjoyed the bar and the communal areas — they’re cosy, lively, and offer plenty of entertainment, clearly designed with guests in mind. The location was great — right in the heart of the city and close to everything. I’ll definitely be back!

The loudest, bassiest, hotel. It is right above a nightclub.the nightclub closes at 4am. No sleep ever. Not even earplugs will help in this circle of hell.

They don’t mention 1 time that you can hear clubs downstairs all hours of the night, and I was visiting on week nights not even weekending I assume it’s much worse on the weekends . They provide you with ear plugs but I believe they should be disclosing this information before booking and payment. Windows don’t open at all so the room is constantly musty. Showers were clean that’s the only good thing I can say.

I love staying at Revolver it's right in the middle of town close to major transport links, it is always spotless and clean and the staff are fab. Down side is the nightclub/bar downstairs it's open till 3Am but what do you expect in yhe middle of town.

This is one of the worst hostels I’ve ever stayed in. My first night there was a Saturday night and I was in room 212. The nightclub below the hostel was so loud that it shook the bed. They don’t seem to care that people are yelling either. The noise didn’t stop until nearly 4am. My last two nights were a little quieter. There was someone in the room who snored so loud it sounded like a chainsaw was running. I woke them up probably a dozen times on Sunday night. The security guy stands by the front door and smokes so the entire place smells like cigarette smoke. Are you old enough to remember 1997 AOL dial up internet? Unfortunately you’ll wish their internet is as fast as that. It’s so slow it’s worthless. If you want to sleep, do not stay here.

The room was dirty visibly i have pictures and videos. The decor was dated. The entrance way to the hotel had guests loitering drinking alcohol and smoking all hours of the day and night. Very intimidating environment fir a woman and child alone

Revolver is like a cool, queer-friendly frat house (which could be super fun!) — except I’m a 34-year-old woman who has regrettably aged out of the vibe.
Pros:

- Plenty of showers.
- Delmonica’s, the queer club downstairs, is super fun!

Between the two nightclubs downstairs (one closes at 4AM!!!) and the people upstairs (making attempts at?) having sex - dear Lord, I did not have even one restful night! The complimentary earplugs, coupled with my noise-canceling headphones were no match. I was on the first floor, right above/inside (?) the subwoofers apparently. Please invest in soundproofing!
- Bathrooms were gross by evening — smelly, unflushed toilets, sticky floors. Not the fault of staff, but other guests.
- A bit unsocial in common areas. Not a big deal, just less friendly than I expected.

The “upgraded room” had a leaking smell of sewage in the night, and I could hear the sewage pipe very loud and clear running down the side of the wall, like people upstairs were flushing the toilets very frequently.
The loud club music downstairs was invasive.

I stayed for use of the hot tub / sauna, but it wasn't available 😕. Big dorm room was okay and comfortable, but only because it had an air conditioner. The smaller dorms did not, and the air was stuffy as hell

The Revolver Hostel is like a 1970's fever dream, with a disturbing mural of an anime girl on the wall with magic dust up one nostril! Condoms and earplugs by the bed. Very responsible and who knew we were going to need them. The carpets in the halls are red and don't smell too good from lots of boys walking out of the shared showers, down the halls dripping. The ventilation isn’t too flash. Thursday night's EDM night club downstairs finished at 1am, but Friday night went until about 3am. Outside local drinkers, druggies, fighters and chancers mixed it with the too numerous local homeless community. The rival men's corset club, hotel, and 24 hour shop and teenagers letting loose provided more entertainment. (Lara don't waste your time on him he sounds like a loser.) Of course we couldn’t shut the window to keep a little noise out. Other than that the place was a Scottish gem.

The previous guest’s towels and sheets were still all in place. I returned to the front desk and was told to sit in the lobby where I waited for 30 minutes and finally my room is ready.
I’ve been warned at this hotel was in a noisy District, which proved to be correct. That is not the reason I’m giving it a poor rating. The poor rating is because I was given a room that had not been cleaned.
I was then given a key to my room along with the elaborate directions as to how to get there. When I arrived at the room, the room had not been serviced. Very affordable and central. 10 mins walk from Glasgow Central Station. The single rooms consist of a dorm with holes in the wall with a mattress and a retractable screen. Temperature was very high probably had the worst night sleep of my life but for the price I can't complain.
My bed hole was up a 6ft ladder so if you have issues climbing request a low bed.

I liked the simplicity of the check-in and check-out, the decor and cleanliness of the hotel, the bar area and the friendliness of the staff. The only complaint was a bit of noise in the morning like a washing machine in the next room.

Overall this place was great value for money. Only issue was I stayed on the hottest day of the year and the windows don’t open and no fan. It was so hot I had to leave early but that’s unusual for Scotland!!

The Revolver is in great position to access local sights/public transport. It is budget accommodation. Clean.
As advised it can be noisy at night as there is a night club across road. However wasn't as bad as we were expecting.

My partner wrote these points for us both and sent them directly to Revolver.
This was really quite the worst hotel stay I had had for some years. I would like to draw to your attention the following points:-
1) The 'ration' of water released by one push on the tap opening device in the washroom lasted only about 5 seconds, making it difficult to wash one's face or hands adequately. If you put enough soap on, it was difficult to get enough water to wash it off again properly. It was not possible to use a nailbrush because for that you need two hands under flowing water for rather more than 5 seconds.
2) The lighting over the washroom sinks was angled so that it was impossible to inspect one's eyes properly.
3) Even worse was the lighting of the mirror in the room itself. The lights were very dim and by the beds, nowhere near the mirror, which also faced the window so that even in daylight one's reflection was of a face in shadow.
4) As a result of these three points I developed an eye infection which troubled me for a whole week and required antibiotic ointment, which was very difficult to apply in these conditions.
5) The overall lighting in the room itself was so poor I had difficulty reading in bed, even on the first night before the eye infection developed. It was so dim I could barely find things in my luggage. Note that I do not usually have an eyesight problem, and despite the infection I could find things afterwards at another place where we stayed.

We stayed here for 2 nights, we didn't know there was a bar/club right beside the hotel and they were bumping noise tell the wee hours of the night, there was people smoking outside and we had our windows open - the hole room smelt like smoke. They were yelling and screaming all outside and through the halls.
The bathroom was so gross, everyone uses the same toilet and there was pee all over the floor and seats. The fella at front desk barely even wanted to talk to you. Pretty disappointed.

I would recommend a stay in this hostel for a couple of nights. Very central and easy to get to places in Glasgow. Do not have a proper breakfast and the alarm they installed in the bathrooms set off because the steam after 5 min which is annoying at best. I could also find how tut on the lights inside the room. Nice common area.

I brought this issue to the attention of the staff and was moved to a different room, but unfortunately, the curtains in this room were also broken, resulting in a lack of privacy. Additionally, the toilets and showers were in an unclean condition, and there were no toiletries provided. Furthermore, the showers caused flooding after use.

Had lovely overnight stay at Revolver Hotel.Checked in quick. Staff really friendly.We were on the 2nd floor and never heard any loud noise from the nightclubs. Room spotless and comfortable with little extras. Was a shared bathroom but never at anytime did it cause a problem.

Had stayed before a few months ago whilst visiting friends and had a mixed bag as the nightlife surrounding the building was a bit distracting at points when trying to sleep. Decided to give it another go as the beds are really comfy and even the cheapest room provides you the comfort and slight privacy with partial curtain/wall.

It was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the area was buzzing with activity right in the city center of Glasgow. It is loud from the clubs nearby, but the hotel provided earplugs on each bed.

Tiny little bunk beds, but very comfortable. I mean length is ok, but space between beds is very small. I had really good night sleep despite hostel being in the centre of Glasgow. Free ear plugs available and you will find them on your pillow. Super staff, friendly and helpful. Good amount of showers on the floor. I'll definitely stay here again. I didn't go for breakfast so I can't say anything about it.

Hotel was directly above a loud nightclub, this wasn’t clear when booking so we struggled to sleep. If any of this was clear during the booking process we wouldn’t have booked this hotel.
