Superb Hotel, Very clean, value for money, excellent staff, food excellent and location less 8min from Argyle Street train station. View of the river and two brdges from the hotel room was breathtaking. Thoroughly enjoyed this stay. Would fully recommend anyone coming to Glasgow for a stay

Staff were all great, especially housekeeping. Great location, within easy walking distance of everything.

However, and this is a deal breaker for me, it sees like they have recently changed linen supplier/quality. This isn’t a cheap hotel, so getting polyester bedding which is incredibly cheap, hot and rough was a surprise. You can’t open your window so you either sweat or have to have the AC on. I mean it’s February and I was sweating. Whoever made this decision seriously needs to rethink this. I wouldn’t stay again with bedding like that.

We had a super room on the top floor, it was clean, very comfortable and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The lifts were fast and efficient. The coffee machine was great, the fridge was very handy. We stayed for 2 nights, took advantage of the 9am early check in which was convenient after arriving on the Caledonian Sleeper from London.
We had breakfast on one morning, a great selection of traditional scottish cooked food and more healthy options.
We made use of the luggage holding facility which was helpful.
The hotel is conveniently located for central glasgow.
Our first stay in a Clayton Hotel but probably not our last.

The hotel is beautiful. It’s absolutely spotless clean. The staff were all lovely, very helpful, friendly and professional. We chose the Executive King room and had requested a river view. The room overlooked the River Clyde and most of the Southside of Glasgow. The room was a good size, plenty of mirrors and lighting and was exceptionally clean and inviting. There was also dressing gowns and slippers provided. The bed was SO very comfortable and we had a really rested sleep. The hotel is literally round the corner from the city centre so location is perfect. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return . Thank you for a fabulous stay .

The room was a good size. However, the white sheer curtains were in desperate need of ironing, and the room could have been vacuumed better as there were small bits of paper or cotton on the carpet.

The stay was very noisy. Neighbours were playing loud music until 2 am. We were staying with a small child, which made this especially disappointing. A message was left via Expedia but it was ignored.

Breakfast was not worth the money. Staff were unfriendly, the bread and pastries were dry, and the bacon looked boiled. There were no options such as hot porridge or eggs, which are usually available at other Clayton hotels. We previously stayed at the Clayton in Bristol for a week and the breakfast there was excellent, with a wide selection including porridge, smoothies, and eggs.

Overall, we left quite disappointed.
