We’ve stayed once before, and that time there were no issues at all, it was lovely. This time, not so much. Upon arrival we were checked in and offered a free ‘upgrade’ to a room further from the train tracks to allow for better sleep, which was kind, but the people in the room next door were loud (shouting and banging) so we had to call reception twice, midnight and 2am, to ask them to send someone up to have a word. The pipes/ something in the bathroom made dripping noises all night to the point of me fully worrying the toilet was overflowing. The room looked lovely, but one of the pillow cases had what looked like makeup stains and we found a fake eyelash under one of the pillow cases. I made reception well aware of this when we checked out and she seemed not to care one bit. Nice toiletries and a comfy bed, but we won’t be staying again any time soon.

We paid for a \"superior king\" room with a river view, we were two floors up from reception and the only thing we could see out of the window was the set of train tracks. The trains on those tracks kept us up late and woke us up early and were so noisy that we requested to switch rooms to a quieter part of the hotel. Something which I have never had to do at any hotel I've stayed at before.

We were then moved to a room for the next two nights at the front of the hotel which overlooked the main road. This room was even worse than the first one noise wise, we barely managed to sleep a few hours a night because of the traffic & road noises combined with issues in the room and people shouting in the hallways.

The second room had a broken air conditioner/heater which made a lot of noise, the fridge was missing all the shelves and the TV wouldn't work properly.

While I'm under no illusion the hotel can be responsible for noise outside, the stay was terrible because of these reasons. Considering we paid for a superior king room in an already expensive hotel we felt very let down by the quality of the rooms.

We checked in on line and was instructed we would receive an email telling us when our room was ready but we never got an email.We got our key card at the reception desk which was fine.Staff were all pleasant.Room was clean and had all necessary facilities,iron,ironing board,hair dryer,tea and coffee facilities and a small fridge which was excellent.toilet and shower were lovely even face cloths were provided and of excellent quality,my only concerns were the room lighting was inadequate with only one ceiling light at the door the bedside lights were fine but to get good lighting to room I had to turn the bedside lights facing up to the ceiling,the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were too hard the noise from the air con was annoying as it was a bit noisy when on and train noise was annoying.

Second time we have stayed here and this time brought family we had recommend the hotel to. Only thing that could be improved is that despite adding breakfast on through Leonardos own pre-arrival email system this wasn’t documented and we were left to feel like we were trying it on by check in staff. Disappointing along with having to ask for the complementary drink that was part of our rate. Maybe Expedia can liaise so your systems align and avoid this embarrassing experience for future guests.

Have no real complaints. Room (601) was satisfactory, and I had a good comfy night's sleep. A decent sized room, with all the expected facilities - tv, tea/coffee etc.Also a good sized bathroom. Heating worked great, once I worked out how to operate the thermostat. That wasn't easy as it was hard to see the thermostat properly. Which brings me to my only real issue with the room ...

I found the room to be quite dark. There was no \"MAIN\" ceiling light in the room - only a small spotlight in the ceiling of the entranceway. The only other lighting consisted of bedside lamps and one single floor lamp in the corner of the room near ther window. This really wasn't enough to light the room in order to see the thermostat properly, or read the information book. Basically, the side of the room where the TV, wardrobe and coffee making facilities were was just too dark to see anything.

Other than that minor annoyance, I found the room perfectly acceptable.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and, unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing due to constant noise and lack of comfort.

Housekeeping on our floor early in the morning was excessively loud, with continuous rattling of glass bottles outside our room and staff talking very loudly. Throughout the night, there were repeated loud door slams on the floor, random door clicking noises, and the air conditioning made intermittent loud sounds that disrupted sleep. Between approximately 6–7am, there was also a loud noise that sounded like water draining, which was particularly disturbing.

The room offered no real sense of relaxation. Despite the TV volume being capped at 40, it was barely audible due to the surrounding noise. As a result, we had very little sleep over the two nights we stayed. The mattress was also extremely firm, adding to the discomfort.

Because we were so exhausted from the noise, we were unable to make use of the breakfast we had paid for, as we needed the time to try to sleep instead.

Overall, this was the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in, and the level of noise was completely unnecessary and unacceptable. Sadly, this stay fell far below expectations, and I would not choose to return.

It was so lovely to walk into the room with all the lights on made it even more cosier as wouldn't have done myself. Staff knows me by name feel like part of the Royal Family Welcome.

All of the above, great check in staff, super clean, always smells wonderful. All boxes ticked five star ( apart from to tv remote control which is an absolute mare to understand, still hadn’t figured out how to change the volume by the time I left, that gets a one star.
Thanks for a wonderful stay will definitely be back and recommend

The hotel its beautiful and big. Staff at the main bar reastaurant are not. No personalities ' young inexperienced. Really upset me and my husband . 1st ordered baileys coffee & cream' they came & told us after 5mins no cream in whole hotel' then orderd americano' came down cold 'sent it back 2nd one was fine' kids food came down cold' our starter was a joke chilli prawn' we then cancelled our own food. Was so frustrating ' then while one of my sons was still eating and my husband was finishing his pint they came down & asked for payment . That was the last straw for me. I explained it to young girl that was sent down to us who does that ' her supervisor send her down. I went up to her supervisor & said it to her. Why would you come down for payment when we were not finished' she couldnt answer. To me it felt like she taught we were not going to pay little did she know we were staying in the hotel. I was so upset. I brought it to hotel management they were nice. They were looking at receipt to see if money was taking off the bill. As we said it had nothing to do with the bill it was how we were treated. How does a chef not get the food out hot. We had to leave and go else where for dinner. This is at 8 in eve out in the freezing cold kids hungry and us.The next morning the manager came over & said we would get our breakfast for 18p and kids free to make up for night before. Breakfast was lovely fresh
Made omelettes infront of us and kids pancakes. Rooms were lovely.

Absolutely fabulous hotel in a central location.

We were offered and paid for an upgrade on arrival, which allowed us to access the executive lounge, which meant we had free hot and soft drinks and snacks for the whole stay. We used this extensively.

The room was very quiet, even though we were next to the central station and the lift. The room was very comfortable and cosy.

The hotel was spotlessly clean and staff were charming and very helpful. They were all also extremely industrious. No one was ever idle, nothing was left undone, and they worked constantly and seamlessly, e.g. at breakfast everything was tidied and cleaned straight away, everything replenished, at the front desk, staff were ensuring they had everything to hand and the public areas were spotless, etc. It was a seamless operation. I felt that everyone genuinely cared about what they did and this enhanced the customer experience.

Breakfast was varied and good. The guy on the desk at breakfast was a delight.

This was a great stay, made exceptional by the staff. Highly recommended - I certainly will be back.

We have traveled all over Glasgow and this hotel has been the best most exceptional by a million miles! The staff are so friendly and helpful! Even at breakfast after the first stay we were recognised immediately and seated by a staff member who clearly cares enough to know his guests. Unbelievable service!

Breakfast was very good, large variety of food available and is served up to 10.30. Only downside is the noise from the street and the trains, but if you want to be close to the city centre and transport then the noise is expected.
