I booked this hotel because of its pool, so I could swim whilst away from home. When I checked in I was informed the pool was closed. No advanced warning, no apology, no offer to use another hotel's pool.

Room was okay, very basic, sachets of cheap instant coffee and a couple of teabags, no snacks or even water.

Probably not the hotel's fault but the whole place was evacuated because of a fire alarm and we had to stand on the corner of a freezing cold windy street whilst the fire engines came and went one evening. Again, no apology.

I came back from my conference exhausted, made my way to my hotel room to find the key didn't work, had to go back to the lobby and join an extensively long queue to have my key reactivated. Again, no apology, just a barrage of questions from a young woman who clearly thought I looked like some sort of criminal trying to break into my own hotel room, in my smart conference wear, and quizzed me relentlessly before she sneered at me and reactivated it without apology.

If the staff learned to apologise for the errors that impact guests' stays, they'd land a lot easier. But this was a catalogue of errors dealt with by utterly miserable staff who haven't learned the word 'sorry'

No idea what the breakfast was like as apparently it wasn't included.

The staff on reception was friendly but food not state which floor our room was on.
There wasn’t a welcome pack in the room so we had no idea when breakfast was. How to operate the heater/air conditioning. Tv
The room was clean but basic. For a king size room I was not impressed.
The bed moved when you sat on it. That was awful!
The shower room was small.
The air conditioning in the shower room didn’t work, Everything got moist with the steam.
The coffee and tea provided in the room was foul.
The parking is under the hotel. £18 a day paid in advance although we left by 8 a.m on the third day. The lift service can be accessed from the car park giving access to all floors. Ideal for easy access to the hotel.
The hotel restaurant has excellent staff and chefs. The breakfast was buffet or you could order from the à la carte menu at extra cost. I have lactose intolerance and they catered to my needs in a friendly efficient manner. That was the highlight of the stay.
I have stayed in the hotel a couple of times .
On this occasion I am considering perhaps I should find another hotel for my next stay in Glasgow.

The room was generally clean and the staff were polite, which I appreciated. However, the bathroom facilities were not suitable for the room(king one bedroom suite with lounge access) toilet felt inappropriate for the space, and the shower was too small, making it uncomfortable to use. This affected the overall experience and could definitely be improved.

We had a great stay with the family. The rooms were really clean. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The Pool and Spa facilities were great as well and with a 5 year old who loves swimming this was well used by us. Only one slight feedback was the pillows were a bit too soft but everything else was great. In one of the rooms the air con wasn't working but we were given an oil heater, fans and even the option to change rooms but the heater and fans were more than enough.

Good property .Centrally located near the main shopping area of Glasgow .Room was fine — shower excellent .
Breakfast was disappointing — being a vegetarian not many options and the que for breakfast was unacceptably long.
Wanting a coffee at the bar area proved to be challenging — they seemed to ignore me for about 10 mins !!
Overall a decent experience — would stay again.

The breakfast was one of the best and the honeycomb was a brilliant touch.
The restaurant for dinner was disgraceful both our meals were uneadable and very disappointing. The staff didnt come near to ask if everything was ok! It cost £50
We left and went down town for dinner
Overall our stay was very enjoyable. And gave 5☆

Breakfast was delicious and very good choice.
I always stay here when visiting Glasgow.
The pool was warm and the jacuzzi was the hottest one I’ve been in.
There was also live music in the bar.
Car parking is located underneath the hotel, lift takes you straight up to reception £18 for 24 hours.
Thanks again Hilton for the wonderful stay.

The room was not well maintained at all. We found bed bugs in the bed and a dead worm in the bedding. For the disgusting incident, the hotel removed the one room service charge on the bill. I can guarantee that I will never stay at this Hilton Doubletree again

Tom behind the front desk was very friendly, informative and helpful. Leah in the spa/swimming dept was also brilliant as I lost my pearl earring and thought it was in that area, and she searched the whole place for us and then was so happy to hear that we'd found it in our room before we left. So very kind and genuine.
The room was spacious and clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfast the next day was also brilliant.

Reception staff were really friendly and very helpful and you get a warm welcome cookie too which is a nice touch. The hotel is modern and very clean and the pool area is small but has everything you need like a jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The room I booked was premium and very spacious and the food and drinks in the bar were delicious. I’d recommend anyone to stay here if visiting Glasgow as it’s also in the city centre and easy to get to everything.

The room was very nice. However, check in was very slow, not enough reception staff. Bar service was very slow late evening, apparently not enough staff. As for the queue for breakfast, it was shocking, at least 30 people in front of us, then a shortage of hot food when required!

Hotel has a lovely impressive reception area, check in person was very nice. Welcome cookies were a nice touch. Our room was clean, modern and smelled really nice. Breakfast was extremely good. Everything you could possibly want for breakfast was on offer with no long waits for table or food.

Downside for us was the leisure facilities. Pool was nice but the changing area was a real let down. Quite dirty and the showers were not working properly. Floor was also soaking wet. I get that it from the pool but could really do with someone coming into clear it regularly as not great when trying to get ready. Changing rooms could do with a good clean and upgrade. We ended up just drying off quickly and getting showered in our room.

The reception and restaurant staff were great, very helpful. Room was clean and well equipped except for it being heated by a potable electric radiator which wasn’t ideal. We hoped to use the leisure facilities but were informed that they were at capacity and there was a queue of people waiting outside. The pool seemed to be full of young children even at 7pm. It would be good if there could be an hour or so for adults only to use the pool either early morning or later in the evening. Disappointed they we didn’t get to use the pool at all.

There was a damp smell with the room, the rooms air-conditioning wasn't working, showing a spanner and lights flashing. Room was cold reported this to reception was told there were a number of rooms reporting this and that the system needs updated. Reception told us they would get a heater to our room nearly an hour later staff came to door with extra duvet to keep warm as they had ran out of heaters. Very poor for the cost, was suppose to be a nice relaxing time away but couldn't wait to get home.

The leisure amenities were nothing short of shocking. I have never experienced changing facilities as bad as this not even in public swimming pools. There were no individual cubicles for privacy but the worst part was there was not a dry spot anywhere to change. The floor was a huge puddle of water making changing into dry clothes extremely difficult. I would not return as the pool was the main reason for booking this hotel. It ruined the experience for myself and my mother who was appalled by it.

I have stayed here many times in executive rooms . Have ordered breakfast to the room also had a late night hot chocolate delivered . This time they required a service charge for these things to be delivered honestly it’s not worth the money . Room was frozen I tried calling to receptionist they said they would fix it never happened. Also my quilt was so thin it was like a sheet of paper that should be warm and cosy not good enough
The rooms were very clean cannot fault this . But if I pay extra for an executive room I expect more .

Location fine for theatre and fairly close to main shopping area, although not the nicest area in the city. Staff friendly. Hotel generally well presented but can get busy with events going on. Only issue was walls seemed thin and we could hear neighbours easily. Also noisy fans outside if you're facing inwards. Pleasant enough but wouldn't stay again.

Overall, the hotel itself is nice, however the condition and cleanliness of the rooms were disappointing.

When we arrived, our room had not been cleaned properly and we had to request for housekeeping to return. After this, we also noticed that our bedsheets were not clean and had to ask for them to be changed. Although we stayed for three nights and the room was serviced daily, it never felt as though it received a thorough clean.

On the second day, only one towel was left in the room. When I contacted reception to request another, I was met with the response, “Do you need two?”, which felt unnecessary and unprofessional.

The room itself lacked several expected amenities, there was no fridge, no slippers, no robes, and the tea and coffee facilities were very basic. We had considered extending our stay by an additional two nights, but for the price, the overall standard of the room and service did not justify it.

We also specifically requested non-feather pillows, however only two were provided as there were reportedly not enough available.

Unfortunately, due to these issues, our overall experience did not meet expectations.
