Overall, the stay had some positives and a few challenges. The service was attentive and friendly, and the location was excellent. However, the scent in the lobby was quite overpowering—possibly from a diffuser—and the hallway carpet pattern leading to our room was visually disorienting. With a few adjustments, this could be a very comfortable stay.

The only real highlight of this hotel is its location by the water, quiet and away from crowds, yet still walkable.

Unfortunately, everything else fell short. The restaurant was a disappointment with very limited breakfast options and a 40 minute wait for food with only a few guests. Café Amalfi in Building 5 was a much better choice.

The room was just okay, not soundproof, and the towels were worn and torn, definitely not what you expect for the price. Service at the front desk was also lacking. My upgrade request was brushed off without even checking availability which felt dismissive.

Overall, not worth the price. You are better off spending a bit more for a place with better service, friendlier staff, and much nicer rooms.

Room service was good from the hotel restaurant. We did not visit the bar or restaurant in person but turn down service was accommodating for extra coffee for our mornings before we headed out on the town. Room was beautiful and loved the balcony view. Had to ask for refrigerator for medicine, but they got one for the second day. No microwave in room.

Location, staff, cleanliness and amenities are all excellent, but they need to do a better job with maintenance. Lock box didn't work. A drawer was broken. The doors to the Juliet balcony were very difficult to open and when you did open it, the screen was torn. It's a tale of two cities. Furniture was dated but bed was super comfy and the bathroom, other than a cracked sink, looked brand new. I'd definitely stay there again. Staff was lovely and they had all the desirable amenities- robes, waters, teas and coffee in room, iced tea, lemonade and fruit in the lobby all day, valet parking and a nice quiet courtyard in the front to pull your car up and check in, which is a rarity in the city.

They truly EXCELL at Customer Relations- even anticipating your needs!!

The Hotel is INCREDIBLY WELL APPOINTED, down to every last detail!!!!

Location is FANTASTIC!! Close to Quincy Market, The Aquarium, The North End Restaurants, Government Center- ALL walking distance!!!!

SOO close to everything, but the moment you walk into the Hotel, it’s like being in a RELAXING SPA!!! Soooo relaxing & tranquil!!! Will ABSOLUTELY BE BACK& HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Didn't go to the bar, we did have breakfast which in my opinion wasnt worth the money, it taste old & awful. The staff were extremely pleasant from the front desk, to the restaurant, to the valet. Beautiful place. Clean. Quiet. No mini fridges so prepare for that. Room was spacious with a beautiful view.

Well located on water and rt next to the north end. Large rooms with water views. One significant complaint: Similar to a number of hotels built in recent years, the toilet is behind an opaque door, and there is no fan, so there is a lack of privacy in my opinion. There was no reason for this; a solid wood door could be there. How any designer or builder could believe this makes sense is a mystery to me

Large bright room with big windows on two sides. Tastefully and comfortably furnished, with a proper desk. Fantastic bathroom with separate loo and a wetroom with showers and bath. Wash basin and vanitry unit between the two, so space and privacy if you're sharing. Plenty of hanging and drawer space. A fridge would have been nice but it was extra. Breakfast - both buffet and a la carte good and generous. The one dinner I had was adequate if not exciting. Nice bar and lovely obby with view of the harbour. Easily walkable to the centre of Boston through the charming Italian quarter and the historic district. Three subways close by. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return

The property location is great and the building and room is in great shape. There were some minor details that are unexpected. Some light bulbs were burned out, some outlets didn’t work in the room and the scale also was very dirty and had a dead battery. The housekeeping was very friendly and accommodating, but some of the other staff wre not that friendly, and when I needed to use a bottle opener (there wasn’t one in my room) I had to talk the front desk into bringing one to my room, and when it was delivered, the woman said, “be sure to get it back to us,” as if I intended to keep it. Not the worst treatment in the world, but annoying and uncalled for.

One disappointment was finding out that the sauna was no longer included in the amenities. This had been a standout benefit for me in the past to use the fitness center and then 15mins in the sauna. Now it appears to be an additional $20 day pass, which is an expensive option for hotel guests that are looking for a brief sauna luxury.

It was okay. Advertising,That you have a sauna and steam room to use is great way to trick people booking. But when you get there it’s only for paying treatments or day pass for 60 a person. So booking this for a birthday present for my daughter thinking she could have some nice amenities was a very big disappointed. Also considering the price I payed to stay there. I come to Boston often. I wouldn’t stay there again.

The room was clean and cozy. Staff were friendly. Beds were really comfortable. It wasn’t as quiet as we would have liked. We could hear people in the neighboring rooms easily, the hallways were loud, and could here what was occurring outside the window. The hotel was close to nearby attractions, which was a bonus. I would recommend avoiding the onsite restaurant. Food was mediocre and not worth the price. It was also freezing in there.

We had a lovely stay… the only downfall was we didn’t realize there were multiple building to the hotel, be 8 degrees out on the day we stayed, we had to walk outside to get to the hotel restaurant and checking in / out. Other than that, the bartender was very personable and the property beautiful- and we will certainly come back to enjoy in May and warmer weather!
During out stay we attended a Bruins game, which was in walking distance to TD garden. We enjoyed the sitting area - couch and coffee table with then nespresso pods for some quiet time in the morning- check out is noon- so nothing was rushed.

I did book through Expedia and the dates were wrong. I tried to address it immediately but Expedia has not been able to reach your hotel. All I want is the dates changed. It was June 9 and 10th not February 9 and 10th. I have sent several emails, can someone reach back to me? I need a refund or I need to reschedule the dates. It is really important that there is someone to answer the phone. They just wanted to have you confirm the date change and if not request a refund please review emails. Warm regards.

2 days into being there they finally told us we could go underground in the tunnel to go to our room instead of outside in a blizzard. Never once did front desk person offer WiFi Or anything else
Dinner, lunch & breakfast we wer literally the only customers in there
You had 28% occupancy but 20 of the guests were employees staying for the storm
How you are in business baffles us

Room was spacious, shower very roomy & modern.

Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Restaurant dining was very delicious, had mussels with garlic & tuna tarta which was super fresh.

Front desk was not friendly or helpful at check in. Room was not ready, downstairs ladies room was closed for renovating. Asked if there was another restroom. \"next door\" was the answer. Ok, next door? where?
I didn't like the double doors into the bathroom that are right next to the bed that didn't close and the barely there door to the toilet stall. It felt like using the toilet right next to the bed. Good location but I won't return. $60 a night parking as a bonus. ;)

Bathroom wall paper falling off wall. Toilet paper holder falling off wall. Hotel was under renovation and website did not mention it. They had no restaurant or bar. They had a makeshift bar and food seri e in the lobby. They still charged the resort fee and valet. We will never stay here again.

Staff was very professional. The bed was nice. The \"rainfall\" shower head was awesome. Proximity to Boston's North End was great. Valet parking was great. Hot chocolate station and hot apple cider & donuts in the lobby was a nice seasonal touch. Bartender was friendly for a nightcap. The room/bathroom configuration is a little weird, bathroom is separated from the bed by a sliding barn door, looks kind of cool but there's no privacy when using the bathroom. The mini fridge was missing from the room. Some of the outlets in the room were damaged and didn't work for our phone chargers. The hotel was experiencing flooding in some rooms due to heavy snow. The room across the hallway was being worked on for flood damage and workers & dryers were noisy. When we were packing up for checkout we realized a corner of our own room was wet from flooding, it had soaked through my luggage and my clothes were wet.

The staff was friendly and the property was nice all with a really great location in the city. We arrived and with my Hotels.com status I was eligible for a free upgrade. We were upgraded to a suite in the front building. The extra space was nice and the room had some great ammenities - iron in the room, robes, coffee machine, etc. Valet was also quick when I requested my car and extremely helpful with bags when we arrived. We did not go to the spa or gym, but I have been previously and they are great!

The atmosphere is of an old and tired hotel.
No people around. Restaurant and bar empty.
Spa is in a different building likewise the gym.
The Spa is good only for treatments and is missing a pool. Gym with outdated equipments.
There are room at the ground floor as the Motel.

I would advise the manager to look at the bathroom in the room I had (3228). Look at the walls and how bad that has been renovated. I’m a gold member at hotels.com and asked for one more hour check out time based on a late flight. This is the first time in 20 years I have been turned down on that. I would also strongly advise the manager to have a look at his tired staff in the reception, not all of them but a couple of the male staff. The bartenders was awesome and the guys in the reception should take a look at how they work with their customers.
