Loved the location for our first time to Boston! So close to many tourist spots and great eating options. The coffee house is fantastic!! We always felt safe walking in the neighborhood and the staff was so friendly. We loved the daily snacks too! There was road work being done at night that did bother our sleep and the beds could have been more comfortable. Overall we would stay here again.

Yes, yes, yes, I certainly highly recommend The Gordon for any traveller, it’s an absolute joy from arrival to departure. You’ll be greeted at the door with a smile, sometimes from two people, and the whole checkin/out process is seamless, fast and friendly!
The decor and rooms are beautifully appointed, cool lighting, boutique furniture and super quiet at night.
Then there’s the bed…bliss…most comfortable bed I’ve ever experienced in any hotel, across the world, seriously.
If you want to fully unwind, in a home away from home, then this is the place for you.
For me it was what was needed after the hectic streets of NYC - I have left beautiful Boston feeling totally refuelled.

Staff are very nice but unfortunately there were roadworks during my 1 night stay and the noise was very loud till 11.15pm and didn’t completely stopped till 1am. I think there should be prior notice and guests should be allocated to other rooms, especially those on lower floors. The location of the hotel is excellent.

Everything was wonderful however when we arrived we were waiting to check in and two people at the desk were talking to one person (not checking them in) just talking about places in Boston…etc. Answering her questions while we sat there and waited without even acknowledging our presence. Seems like a one person job. He could’ve addressed us. It wasn’t too long of a wait, 5 or so minutes, but thats bad customer service in my opinion. If he was helping the other staff, I would understand, but it was just a general conversation about things in Boston to see or how to get there. Check us in first then continue your conversation.

Centrally located to the theater district. Very nice hotel with excellent staff. We used valet parking to make the trip easier and had no issues. Room was nice but no fridge.☹️ The hotel has ice stations on each floor but provided a small ice bucket. ☹️ The coffee shop was great and the Peruvian/Japanese restaurant was fantastic. Overall, a very good hotel to stay in. We would stay again.

The room was fine. However there were two significant issues. If given the option, do NOT take a room that looks onto the street. It was quite noisy.

The more annoying issue, however, is the drapes in the room do not close completely.
This allowed so much light in the room- from the street, I had to cover my head with the pillow to block it out.

The restaurant attached to the hotel is fabulous. There is also a very nice coffee shop attached.
The staff was also accommodating and friendly.

Really, if they would fix the window coverings and you turned on white noise, this would be a great place to stay.

Very nice hotel. They did a very nice job renovating such an old building and transforming it into a very cool hotel. Snacks and water await you in your room. Hotel bar is nice. Connected to a swanky coffee shop too. Walking distance to most places in the Downtown Crossing area. Definitely recommend.

What a great experience at The Godfrey! A special shout out to HATKA and BOGDAN who really went out of their way to make us feel special, on a celebratory visit to beautiful Boston. This hotel is excellent, right in the middle of everything with an incredibly convenient location to anything you need for a great stay. Hotel beds and comfy, restaurants on the property are fantastic for dining options, we tried both and they were great. Comfy beds. Superior staff. Great rooms perks like snacks & water were also included, they really think of everything! Thank you again for a wonderful stay, we will be returning to The Godfrey. Keep up the amazing talented work you do for your visitors.

Rooms don’t have refrigerators, but that wasn’t an issue for us. Terrelle, at the bar, makes the best drinks you will have in the city!! A+
