The doorman was really nice and helpful when we arrived which we appreciated. Unfortunately the check-in experience was not great. My wife checked in with the kids while I parked the car and she was given access to a room that was already occupied, which was a little jarring. On top of that it was not the spacious suite we had originally booked and paid for. The front desk said they “upgraded” us as a result but the room we ended up in seemed to be the room we had expected and paid for in the first place.

Once we opened the sofa bed the sheets were not made and did not appear clean. When we requested new sheets something about them seemed to irritate my daughter’s skin and she had a facial allergic reaction shortly after laying on the pillows.

The amenities were pretty limited.

That said, the hotel is in a great location, the price was reasonable, and it gave us a safe place to sleep. Overall it worked for what we needed, but the room mix-up, cleanliness issue, and reaction to the bedding dampened our stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and took extra time to help us understand the public transportation system. We were worried whether the “Wicked Small Room” would be too small, but we like to cruise and it was a little bigger than a cruise cabin, and had all that we would want including a mini-fridge and coffee maker. Great location with a public transportation stop very close by. Excellent hotel for the price point and we would certainly stay here again.

The hotel is beautiful and elegant, the staff very friendly, and the location excellent. The room is spacious and pleasant; however, the carpet seems to need replacing, as it has a slight odor, and the bathroom, also very nice and spacious, has minor cleaning issues (someone else’s hair on the floor).
However, is a lovely and a beautiful place.

I spent 4 nights here with my wife and a 10 months baby.
Pro:
The hotel is very historic. Every staff I encountered was friendly. It is also in a great location, so makes it easy for us to tour around the city. Room uses solid door so it is very quiet. I didn’t hear any city noises at night.
Con:
The bathroom is very small, and you can tell this hotel is very old and needed some update. If you are traveling with baby, i recommended to get the suite.

In general the Hotel is good. The only observation: they do the cleaning of our room before we do the check out, and some elements (jacket, charger, etc) weren't in the room when we return to the room. Art the end, the people in the front desk help us to recover our things, but we ha to wait additional time waiting during the process.

Great location right near Public Transportation stops and great restaurants. Short walk away from the Boston Public Gardens. Room was clean and staff was kind. Only negative is that the bathroom in a standard room is very small and difficult to move around in. You have to shut the door to be able to get ready in front of the mirror.

The Hilton Boston Park Plaza was a really great place to stay in Boston. The location is ideal for all visitors, close to restaurants, shopping Boston Commons, Boston Public Gardens, the T-Lines. we upgraded to a larger room and it was so worth it. The staff was super nice, friendly and helpful. Rooms have a refrigerator and coffee/tea station(Keurig). I would highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Boston.

I came here to see a comedy show with my sister for the weekend (we’re in our mid-30s). It was our first time in Boston! We got out of the taxi and were so excited when we pulled up to the hotel and that excitement quickly wore off once we got to the front desk… The man who checked us in at the front desk was completely rude. We got to our “double queen superior room” and it was anything but. The walls were all scuffed up and two of the three lamps in the room had lightbulbs that didn’t work. I called and asked if we could have a different room and they obliged, but besides the lights working, it wasn’t much better. The dings on the wall and paint on the mirror were just crazy to me! I’ve stayed in numerous Hiltons over my years, and can’t believe how rundown this room was! Our experience with staff over the next two nights did not get any better… the bartender (his name began with a P) was SO RUDE! Annoyed we asked to take our picture, then proceeded to move my phone which was in front of me to grab my receipt and look at how much I tipped him. We spoke with another couple later that evening and they also expressed how rude the staff was. Beds were old and hard. If I would have had the budget, I would have went and stayed somewhere else the second night. While the location is prime, I cannot recommend this hotel and would not stay here again the next time I’m in Boston.

Great location. In walking distance to many restaurants and attractions and just a block away from the subway / T. The hotel was extensively remodeled in 2023 and shows well. The fitness room is extensive. The hotel room was clean and the elevators were very quick. The valet parking is very expensive, but there are many public parking garages around including the Boston Commons garage for $20/day on the weekends. That garage also has extensive EV charging bays.

As others have mentioned, though, if you get the standard room it's TINY. If you're on the bigger side, you won't fit into the bathroom or shower.

Can’t beat this location for central Boston city access and sites. An easy T ride from Boston Logan Airport that drops you off a block away. Near the Common and Gardens. Near Newberry Street shopping. Great gym! Starbucks in the building. Wicked Small room is not all that small but definitely a tighter squeeze! I challenge the Park Plaza to make an even smaller room available for even less $$! 😉

The location is spectacular but that’s definitely the best part of this hotel. The king bed was a cheap mattress with thin bedding. The check-in took a long time because the two people in front of us were lodging long complaints and there was only one person working. We only stayed one night.

I recently stayed at Hilton Boston Park Plaza, the historic former Park Plaza, and came away with mixed feelings—leaning strongly negative.

On the positive side, the location is excellent—steps from the Boston Public Garden and Boston Common—and the rooms have clearly been renovated. The updates give the space a more modern feel, though small details are oddly lacking (for example, no glass cups in the bathroom).

Unfortunately, the overall experience felt disingenuous. The hotel advertises a $15 daily credit for drinks or breakfast, which initially sounds like a perk. What they don’t clearly tell you is that the “continental” breakfast—plus a few basic hot items like eggs, sausage, and bacon—costs around $40. The credit barely makes a dent.

More frustrating is the mandatory “Destination Charge” of $85. It’s framed as giving access to amenities like the gym and business center, but these are standard features at most hotels—and you can’t opt out. The result is a pricing structure that feels like bait-and-switch: a small visible credit masking much larger hidden costs.

In the end, it felt like constant nickel-and-diming. For the price, there are better, more transparent options in Boston.

I won’t be returning.

Bad: walls are PAPER thin. You hear everything from other rooms to outside to hallways. Parking is $70/USD a day (when we booked three months ago they said $40 but didn’t honor that). Rooms and bathrooms are TINY and old.

Room and bathroom were spotless. Great location to everything. There was a late night emergency evacuation and everything moved seamlessly (we were on the 15th floor and made it down in no time). Hotel restaurant and bar were very nice and was a great place for late night relaxing following a day of sightseeing.

The location of the hotel is the BEST! So convenient and close to many things. The staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. Enjoyed using the Gym, very clean and great vibe. Just the staff(server and the front person) at the restaurant were not really friendly or helpful. It could be better if they at least smile and are friendly.

The location was excellent - a short distance from the Freedom Trail, and the staff is very nice and helpful. A Starbucks downstairs (that opens at 4:30am) makes breakfast on the go easy, but they also have a restaurant downstairs. Parking is a little pricy, buts that's to be expected in the center of any large major city I suppose.
