We got an upgrade at check in and they gave my husband a lovely bag of treats for his birthday! Staff at check in were fantastic! We didn’t use hotel amenities much as we were too busy enjoying the Scotland party for World Cup but hotel was very clean! Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we next visit Boston!

So appreciated the creativity in the design and layout. The bed was comfortable, the bathrooms clean, and the suggestions for lunch were great! Staff were friendly and helpful too.The coffee and tea bar were outstanding too. We took advantage of the Mexican restaurant and bar as well. Perfect place for us to stay!

We were a little nervous with the bathrooms being down the hall but this turned out to be a wonderful amenity. With multiple teens in one room, the bathroom being detached from the room was perfect. I never had to wait and it was always clean. The personal bag with slippers and a robe was such a sweet touch. The hotel is centrally located, maybe a 10min walk to the commons. We enjoyed the Revere rooftop bar right down the street, too.

The hotel is in a great location and the room had a really unique and fun set-up (with a lofted single bed above, for a 3 person stay). The rooms are small, so if you or someone you travel with brings tons of stuff, this is probably not your place. My family packs light, so it worked fine.

Clean, modern hotel in a convenient and safe location.

The triple room was exactly what we needed in Boston! The room layout makes great use of the smaller space and has everything you need. Our room had an amazing view of Boston as well. The bathrooms down the hall were always clean and fully stocked.

We arrived early in the morning after a train from Portland and were able to check in as soon as we arrived, which was a wonderful surprise! Highly recommend this hotel — I’ll definitely be back!

I went for work. Hotel is great. Rooms are very small (not a bad thing if you're a solo traveler) and the shared bathroom sounds weird at first but it's actually pretty neat of an experience. Overall, super clean, good location, well maintained, great staff. 10/10 will stay again when I go to Boston.

We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat! Clean room, cozy bed, amazing coffee shop, friendly staff, and great location. We booked a king bed room with our own bathroom and it was perfect. Highly recommend!

I had stayed before and liked the vibe. When I checked in the hotel had oversold the rooms and the front desk criticized me for using hotel.com and not Expedia or bookings. They found a room for me that wasn’t what I had reserved and that was fine. The staff told me if I wanted that room I had to make the reservation directly through hotel and I would have to deal with getting the refund from hotels.com myself. it took 45 min to Check in, and I felt like I was on trail in a courthouse.

When booking this stay, I was wary of the small room and shared bathrooms. My son and I were traveling together and got the kind with a twin room. We were very pleased with the comfort of the room and the cleanliness of the shared bathrooms. Staff were definitely on their game. I would recommend this place to anyone and would stay there again.

This place is amazing! It is super cozy. The room I was in reminded me of a cruise ship room. The amenities were great. They have a bar/club in the basement and all that. It is a one-stop shop. It is like a mini-museum. It was great.

The Revolution Hotel has a beautiful and stylish lobby with a modern vibe. However, for guests who need to work remotely, the seating arrangements are not very practical. The high chairs around the tables are quite uncomfortable for extended periods, and while the sofas are more comfortable, they are not suitable for working with a laptop.

The room itself was extremely small, and the bathroom layout was also inconvenient and uncomfortable. While the hotel has a trendy atmosphere and may appeal to younger travelers, I would not recommend it for guests in our age group. It seems much better suited for people in their twenties or early thirties who prioritize location and style over comfort and space.

Overall, the hotel has a youthful, boutique feel and an attractive common area, but for mature travelers looking for comfort, functionality, and a more spacious room, there are better options available in Boston.

The breakfast items are overpriced and they did not have most of the breakfast items available. A really loud fan outside stat started around midnight and kept me awake. I was on the second floor. I guess the hotel is ok if you are really young.

The rooms are pleasant though small. You can open the windows and still keep out the bugs. There's a lot of storage space. It was a surprise to me to find out that the bathrooms were not in the room but down the hall. In fact there were several in a room called WC and each was a complete small bathroom with sink, toilet and shower. Most of the time there was a maid who made sure the bathrooms were clean. Towels, soap and etc. were in huge leatherette shopping bags on hooks just in side the door of our room, one for each person. The showers had plenty of shampoo and conditioners. It was quiet in our room even with people next door and the WC on the other side. For the loft beds you need to be agile enough to climb up on to them but otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

I've stayed several times at The Revolution. This time was not pleasant. My room was on the mezzanine level and was extremely loud. The bar/restaurant blared music until the wee hours. Overall, the staff was not overly friendly or helpful. And granted it was raining, but the lobby was overflowing with guests waiting out the weather. Negatives: The TV didn't work, the bed was rock hard. They did check our luggage and offer free early check-in, but I would only choose this hotel again if I was staying at the lofts next door. That said, if you don't mind loud music and like the idea of having a restaurant in-house, this is a good pick for you.

Checked out the public bathroom and they were very clean as welln staff was very attentive. Both bars had good drinks. Great Location! Would absolute stay again and recommend.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was crazy hot and they offered us bottles of water while we were waiting for our room to be available. We had a 2-bed studio in the adjacent building and a member of staff walked us over and made sure we knew how to use the code to access the building. Above and beyond. The beds were doubles - barely - and were pretty tight for two slightly larger adults. Shower was roomy and had great water pressure.

Some rooms don’t have a bathroom inside of the room and you have to use the bathroom in the hallway. There’s shower toilet in individual stalls. They are constantly cleaning them. The cleanliness was top-notch.

First time I ever went to a hotel where the bathroom and shower were down the hall, not in your room. Shared bathrooms and showers. As a single woman I did not feel great about having to go the bathroom in the middle of the night,leaving my room, go down the long hall, to use facilities. The design of the hotel is a sort of Chic Industrial vibe. Everything is simple and streamlined. The floors are colored cement, and there is no decor. the bed was comfortable, the location was great and the price reasonable.

They overbooked the hotel. Gave me someone else’s room. When we walked in there was clothes and suitcases all over the place. So they cancelled our reservation to “refund” our stay.
Front desk customer service was unprofessional to the point of her hiding in the back office to avoid speaking with us. No empathy…no apology.

The hotel is in a quiet area near the common. It has funky decor. The staff are very friendly.
The shared washing facilities are kept very clean and well stocked and the hotel provides a bag with robe,slippers,towels and toiletries per guest.
There is a good place across the road for breakfast called Billy's which we used most days. The bar in the hotel is ok for a drink.
Only criticism is that the decor and furniture in the room eg. Chair needs updating and although the room is generally clean, there was a previous room user's scrunchie by the bed. It's a comfortable base but not luxurious.
All in all, a reasonable place to stay in Boston which is a very friendly city.

The restaurant connected to this place is really bad. The rooms are basically a cement box, no iron, no nothing, just a bed on a platform (don't fall out), and a shower bag full of your washing supplies. The decor in this hotel is nice, but this is not fit for a business traveler. This is a cheap (but very expensive) Boston hotel. No good food nearby either. Stay at a property with a bathroom in the room.

I was very impressed by the revolution hotel. We were able to check in early. The hotel communicates via text message and you always get a quick response. I was able to stay in a queen room with a bathroom in the room as well as a king room with a bathroom down the hall. Personally, I preferred the bathroom down the hall because it is incredibly convenient - hotel supplies you with a large tote to use with disposable slippers and robe. The shower itself is within its own lockable room with a toilet and sink and it appears the bathrooms are frequently cleaned, you can leave the sign on the door marked to “needs Cleaning“ once you’ve used it. Conversely, in the bedrooms with the bathroom inside, the bathroom is very small and there is not an actual separation between the shower and the rest of the bathroom so the floor gets very wet whenever you use the shower. This is still a good option if you really want a bathroom in your own room, but for me personally, it was much preferred to have the bathroom down the hall, as it was also very private. There’s a restaurant in a bar within the hotel, the restaurant staff is very friendly just like the hotel, the drinks are good, well priced compared to others in the city. We did not try the downstairs bar. The gym is on the bottom floor and has a peloton, for all the days I was there, no one else used the gym when I used it in the morning, which was very convenient.

Absolutely shocked to arrive and discover that for almost 400 per night there was no bathroom in the hotel room and that I had to use a common bathroom. Maybe my bad for not noticing but it would never ever occur to me that this was even a possibility. The room was literally a small area and a king mattress on a platform. Had to be maybe a 12x9 foot room. Crazy

I booked this hotel for the Boston Marathon and they had a nice simple breakfast at 5 AM for all of us. Although it was obviously overpriced for the weekend, they allowed me to come back to hotel (I already checked out) after the marathon to take a shower in one of their clean public bathrooms. Very clean and close to race!

Funky hotel, nice design. Coffee in lobby isn’t good. There can be a wait for bathrooms. My lights were flickering, the bed lamp didnt work. Hair dryer turned off every 5 seconds. For a hotel room with no bathroom I thought this was expensive but it was marathon weekend and I needed to be close to the Acela (it’s a few blocks to Back Bay Station).
