Complex check in with a number that no one answered. Had to go to AI to find a number someone would answer. Directions did not include the fact that the keyboard for the door code was black on the dark door at night.. Very confusing entry- just happened to get in bc someone was coming out. There was another couple from Spain who had not received a confirm email and were totally lost and helpless to get in. Wall’s were a little thin. Room was ok. Voice chatter from the street could be heard. Wouldn’t go back.

We arrived close to 5 pm. Code for front entrance and unit was provided. Unfortunately the code for the unit did not work. We tried many times and then searched for number and called. They were able to give us the correct code. Please was cleaned top to bottom. Looked exactly like the picture as well. They had plenty amenities and toiletries. The only bad thing I have to say is there was so much noise from tenants above us from 6:30am on a Saturday. We couldn’t sleep. Very inconsiderate. I do have one suggestion to add an extension cord by night stand. It’s easy and low cost investment for the value to guests. Location was great. We walked 25 minutes to Fenway. The area seemed very safe. I will definitely stay here again and recommend to my friends.

The room was nice, exactly as advertised. The staff members were very responsive via texts. Overall I had no major complaints. However, the maintenance/cleaning crew only took out the trash and didn’t make any effort to actually clean/arrange the room mid-stay. Overall, great stay

The smoke detector battery ran out at 3 am on Sunday night. I called every hour to get get someone to come get it to stop beeping every 30 seconds. The office is closed until 11 am. Someone finally showed up at 12:45 pm to replace the battery. I got very little sleep that night. I was not in a very good mood for my presentations the next day. I believe that Maverick Suites will refund a portion of my bill for that evening.

Room was smaller than pictured. But still great for location. Found 3 millipedes in the bathroom, counter in the kitchen area and on the floor by the bed that kinda freaked us out. Overall room served its purpose.

room 35 - bed is beyond bad, massive holes in mattress.

bathroom was good except the shower door didn’t close resulting in water on the floor. Bathmat was soaking wet for 4 days as towels are not replenished without a fee each time. 4 days of showers with a single towel is a bit much. But on the bright side our bathroom was within our unit. The folks next door had to cross the public hallway to get to their bathroom. Not ideal as they were coming back and forth from the shower and we were squeezing past them in order to leave via the same hallway. Would have been 9/10 if we had sufficient towels to clean up leaking shower. Wet towels made the room smell musty.

A/C and cleanliness 10/10

Bed 0/10.
I think it was a memory foam that should have been replaced years ago. There was a massive hole midway on one side making it hard to actually stay on the bed. I reported the problem. I received an immediate response saying thanks for letting them know. They obviously knew about it but have chosen not to replace it. There were no other available rooms at the time of our visit.

If you are assigned room 35 ask if the mattress has been replaced since Sept of 2025. If not I suggest you immediately ask for a different room or a refund.

If the bed was simply decent I would recommend this place but it’s beyond bad and wouldn’t stay here again and would warn others to avoid room 35.

Great for a short stay

The room overall was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and a sink. The bathroom was okay, had the basic plumbing. The property owners made sure that I had the access codes prior to arrival. Most of the time, the room was quiet.

There is a bus stop at Dartmouth and Appleton, with regular service. It's also not too far from Back Bay station, but the sidewalks are not exactly even.

I enjoyed my time at the Maverick Suites. It served its purpose for a short two day stay.

Pictures upon booking showed a spacious room, bay window and bathroom. This was not the room that I was given. The room was very small. I couldn’t open the closet without hitting the hanging TV and had to maneuver around the bed to open the closet. No bay window. Dirty window with in window AC with dirty filer that needed to be changed. Bathroom was across the hall and required a code that is difficult to remember if you have to go to the bathroom at 3am. I contacted management, was told that there was a disclaimer that I should have read about the bathroom situation. Was told that no other properties are available and was sent the property handbook (What???). Will never stay with this company again.

Before even arriving, there was trouble. I completed the pre-check-in form expecting to receive the room number, check in details, door code ect. The day went by with no communication from the host. Upon my reaching out, the host asked for additional photos of myself even though I’d already done that on the form. After asking multiple times when we would get our code and room number, we finally received it an hour after we were supposed to check in. Upon arriving at the property, we were very angry to find that this code was incorrect. There was another couple who arrived at the same time as we did who had exactly the same issue. Because we were travellers with no US phone number, we needed to find someone on the street to call the host to resolve this issue. Thankfully, a stranger helped us out and let us borrow her phone. A new code was given to us and the other couple and 2 hours after check-in time, we were finally in our room. Only then did we discover that our room had no bathroom. Upon asking the host, we were told that it was across the communal hallway. Ok, fine, whatever. Problem was, this code was different again, so we needed to reach out for yet another time to be able to access the bathroom. At this point, 3 hours had gone by, full of frustration and we had only just received access to everything we’d paid for. A diabolically poor check-in experience. The actual room is ok. The air conditioner is loud and very much overdue for a clean. Otherwise it is just ok.

The hotel was fine. Small but good enough for two people. no lock on bathroom door. make sure to lock your door when you’re inside and when you leave, it does not lock automatically. LIFT MAIN DOOR HANDLE UP NOT DOWN TO GET IN. we were stuck outside for 30 minutes in 100 degree weather because the property manager failed to tell us that the door didn’t work properly. someone else coming from the hotel let us in and let us know about the door- the property manager never called me back to see if i got in. Definitely not good service especially for not having a front desk. do better.

I barely slept over my three night stay. The blinds did not keep out the sun, so the room was bright starting from 5am. The building is such that you can hear and feel the vibration from anyone walking around, and there was noise late into the night. The air conditionner worked but was really loud and made an irritating sound, turning on and off all night. Not great for business travel where I just needed a quiet place to sleep.
On the plus side -- great location, seemed safe at night, the bathroom was nice, shower worked great, and the bedding was ok. Overall, the cost was too high (seemed like a renovated dorm room with cheap furniture). You definitely pay for the location.

The hotel was very cute, and very conveniently located and had everything you could need in the room. The shower stall was small and took a long time to warm up. Because the hotel did not have a desk, or customer service there it very much feels like you are on an island, and the bed was rather hard. Despite these minor problems a very pleasant stay and would consider staying again.

No heat, no help

The heat did not work. In Boston. In March. I arrived late and there is no one on the property to help, nor do they have anyone on call after hours. I spent the first night wearing all my clothes and shivering. The TV didn't work either. The next day the person on site confirmed that the central heat wasn't working and said there was no other room I could be transferred to. He left a space heater which was effective. He said he fixed the TV but that evening when I came back it still was not. The guy who answered the phone did not seem to believe me and asked me to send him pictures of the not working TV (ie a blank screen). Nothing done that evening. The next day a person on site fixed the TV. The final 2 nights of my stay were fine, (with the space heater) the room was small but comfortable and clean (although there was no trash can). I have requested a refund for the first freezing night and was told a request had been made but 5 days since I checked out I have received no confirmation and no partial refund.

My husband and I had to come up from CT for the weekend and decided to give this property a try. We found the area around the property to be absolutely lovely, nice dining options within walking distance and it was relatively quite and safe. 3 stars is more generous than I would give however due to the fact that our bathroom was across the hall with a keypad, so every time you have to use the bathroom - you need to plug in a code. Not at all convenient in the middle of the night or when you're trying to get ready for an event. Who wants to put on glasses or a robe to cross the hall in the middle of the night??? Another inconvenience is the security deposit - $$$ is being held for 5 days even after we checked out. Staff is friendly enough - but those 2 things are deal breakers for us. 3 Stars is more generous than what I originally wanted to give. We will not be coming back.

Having to have cleaning of the room as an extra charge should be noted clearly for any future occupants. The unit is not close to any restaurant or store unless you want to walk 10 minutes to get there and carry anything back. It is not convenient to anything of note. Would not stay there again. It was clean but that's the best I could say for the property.

Beds should NOT collapse!

I was okay with the place in general. Didn’t expect much for what I paid for. (Hotels are EXPENSIVE in Boston! That’s why I chose this studio.) But I liked the kitchenette part…So my bed COLLAPSED when I laid down on it. Never ever happened before. They offered me to stay at another location but I was exhausted from flying. So I slept on the floor. If the bed did not collapse, I would’ve been fine with everything.

Good value for the money

I'm giving this a five-star rating based on the value for the money, not because it is a five-star hotel. It was much less than anything else I could find and it served the purpose. It was clean, had the basic amenities (bed, shower, kitchenette, and Wifi), and is walking distance to restaurants. Given the walkability of Boston, it's not that far from anything. I had a conference at the Harvard Medical School and often walked, sometimes taking an Uber when in a rush (about 1.5 miles). Understand, this is an upscale dorm room and you'll be happy you paid a lot less than you would have for a hotel.

This is a Scam !

I literally opened and closed the door of the room. Terrible place, tight, old and dirty.

I had to book another place to stay, so my trip to Boston finally cost me more than the double.

No refunds were done for this scam !

It was the WORST accommodation ever.
Here are insanely crazy issues.

1. This video shows it is too dark to see anything in the room. I had to use my phone light for everything.
2. Other light on the bed does not work
This room does not even meet basic accommodation
3. I had to switch my accommodation on the day since I couldn’t stay there because i literally couldn’t see anything there.
4.I requested refund and employee mentioned they will refund since they admitted function does not work on the phone.
HOWEVER, they claim not to refund even though they agreed on the phone.

I have my evidence for phone records, video.
Their management, customer service is AWFUL. They will never help you, they will destroy you instead.
If you choose this, you have to be ready to have issues you will have to deal with in the future.

Hope this helps, I don’t want everyone to experience what I experienced.
