Fun atmosphere. Nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. Best location. Parking garage close by. I’ve stayed here several times. I highly recommend it. Rooms are not big, but they’re very hip and fun.

At first, I would like to give 4 stars out of 5 stars for Moxy Boston. But I took out 2 stars for reception desk services. So it is now 2 stars. The first day I checked in, I was asked to insert my credit card which I thought is was the charges of $122.28. But later I found out it was $225. So I went back to reception desk and realized that is was charges for bar expenses and hotel room damages. The reception desk should have explained it to me first. On the day I checked out, I tried to find out how much refund I would get. But the slim lady (with baseball cap and star tattoo on her neck) at reception desk failed to answer my question even though I showed her the math: $225 - 122.28 = $102.72. She kept saying that money would be credited to my credit card and didn't even try hard enough to find out the refund amount. Now I figured out that $225 was actually pending and disappeared later, only $122.28 was actually charged in my credit card. She couldn't even try to explain it to me clearly about the whole thing. I was so disappointed and dissatisfied with her unprofessional customer service.

The room was very clean. I am a real stickler for a CLEAN room. I was also impressed that they cleaned my room daily which some hotels do not do if you have a three day stay. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Room was clean, just wished there was more toilet paper. Great amenities - appreciated the mini fridge and free drink vouchers. I loved the bar - atmosphere was vibrant and bartenders were friendly as well.

Boy! Was this a find. Clean comfortable room in the middle of the theater district. Nothing fancy but the staff was helpful from check in to check out. Food and beverage folks were welcoming and attentive. My new go to place in Boston.

No refrigerator and no ice machines. Want to scam you so you have to go to the bar to have a drink. Trash can and a bag of ice from the store solved that problem. Place is horrible and expensive for a tiny room

The room was so ridiculously small. No ventilation in the bathroom. The bathroom door is barn door style so there is a one inch gap even when closed. This results in the entire room smelling like the bathroom after morning use. And it took a while for that to go away. There is no room to move around in there. Maybe if you’re alone and packed light but there were two of us with 2 backpacks and we felt really cramped in that space despite not being in the room most of the time. Not to mention the water pressure was terrible, the sink didn’t drain properly and the toilet seat was loose. Will never stay here again. So many better choices.

Amazing everything. 5 minutes to the Common. Incredible views from the upper floor rooms (we were 2110 - upgraded THX). And there is roof top area as well with plenty sofa space. Staff were delightful and happy to help with anything and everything. Super clean. Free coffee during the day. Decent breakfast choice. Great lunch choice. Dinner choice limited if you don't eat meat, but the salmon was delicious. The $35 visitor tax is offset completely by the $35 a day vouchers they give you for use at the bar/restaurant. Very fast elevators. And did I mention the staff were AMAZING?!?! I LOVE BOSTON (and The Moxy)

While our room was clean and the location is convenient, there were a few major issues.

Opening/closing times of the bar and food were inconsistent and hard to find. Options were extremely limited due to shipping issues, and the staff were very apologetic.

We needed to use the bathroom before we used our drink tickets at the bar and they were locked. We had to go all the way to the 21st floor to use our room bathroom and by the time we returned to the bar it was about 11:50 and they had already done last call, refusing to serve us.

The room layout was very cramped, even for someone that has stayed at compact hotels before. I was charged for garage parking even though they do not have parking on site. Luckily I reviewed the charge before I left the property! They were able to remove it from my charges.

For what I paid it was an extremely poor stay. I never give poor reviews, but has to this time. I will definitely not be returning.

One of the best hotel ever! If you’re a solo travel, female this is perfect for you. They have bar and breakfast options. Rooms are very clean. Very quiet. No one bothers you. We had this lady Fatima who cleaned our room. She was down to earth and very sweet. Definitely worth every penny!!

I like the hotel for the most part, but last night only one elevator was working, so it was perpetually overcrowded. When many folks like myself tried to take the stairs, there was a gate closed and locked obstructing ingress or egress past the third floor. That’s a fire hazard! Also I was running late for work this morning, and went downstairs expecting to get a quick breakfast to go. The bar attendant gave me a number and said they’d bring the food to me when it was ready. I waited as long as I could, then went to ask about the food. The attendant said “oh they didn’t bring it to you? Sometimes they put it on that other bar over there,” which wasn’t disclosed to me upfront. How was I supposed to know that!? He could’ve told me right away.

SUPER loud! Corner of Stuart and Tremont. Police and ambulance sirens all night. They aren’t joking about the noise situation. Also, do not go to the Beach St garage they recommend. It is under construction and has weird dead ends. It oversells. Went in and there were no open spots. Got trapped inside with 5 other cars and had to wait a 1/2 hour to get out after paying $18.

Very thin walls- can hear your neighbors very easily. Didnt get much sleep because of this. The cleaning person tried to get into our room twice as we were trying to catch up on sleep in the morning, then asked us when we were planning on leaving when she saw us in the hallway and hour before checkout

The staff was extremely amicable, taking the time to give me guidance on where to go and what to do in the city. They asked what my interests were and tailored it based off of that. The bartender Sovann was attentive, ensured that my drinks were always full as needed and took the time to find a drink that I would like off of their menu.

The location is great, being right next to chinatown, and right off of the orange line, which made it easy to travel throughout the city.

Overall, a ten out of ten experience.And i'm staying there again the next time I come to the city!

The service at Bar Moxy was hit or miss depending on time of day and staff. Some were super helpful and other staff were simply useless. Seems that the grab and go items were hit or miss on availability. Also the rating above mentioned free breakfast....it was not a free breakfast.

Food we received was tasty and great!

Check in and checkout were great.

Rooms were nice and clean.

Too bad rooftop bar service was not available during our stay.

Gym was very small with minimal equipment and therefore overcrowded, also some equipment was broken and seemed to be missing many cable system attachments.

In general we enjoyed our stay.

Disappointed when soiled towels were refolded on day 2 rather than replaced.

Bedside lamp was broken.
TV remote was also malfunctioning.

Enjoyed the morning coffee and candy bowl!

Food coupons were generous.
