We are repeat visitors to the Ascott Raffles Place Hotel. The rooms are spacious with lots of amenities—a small but complete kitchen with a Nespresso coffee makers, a cooktop, microwave, a washer-dryer combo, and a large refrigerator. The decor in the room is rather plain but it is clean, comfortable, and functional. The staff is excellent and always helpful. I did have some problems at times with spotty internet, and the staff was very responsive and even came up to the room to assist and get it up and running again at 10 p.m. The A/C cooled well, but the thermostats they have don’t shut it off when the room reaches the set temperature so at times it was too cold with the AC continually running. That said, it was better than the alternative as Singapore gets very hot and muggy. The location is great—literally next door to the Raffles Place metro. We could walk to many of the tourist spots from the hotel. It is in a business district, so there are not a ton of restaurants right around the hotel, and on weekends many of the places close down. Keep that in mind if you are not eating breakfast at the hotel. The breakfast was rather expensive, but we enjoyed the assortment of food offered. They had eggs to order (which unfortunately were just so-so), cereals, pastries, and toast as well as many hot dishes that were almost like lunch/dinner items—chicken, potatoes, vegetables, spring rolls, noodle dishes, salad, etc. The offerings changed daily which was great.

Singapore clean large Finlayson suite. Amazing location near marina, Pau La Sat hawker center, steps away from the Raffles MRT. You couldn't ask for a better location. Staff are friendly and helpful. Evening complimentary Singapore Slings for guests. Perfect location.

Our first time staying here and we would be back.

Room: Starting to show its age. Outlets are getting loose from others trying to stab their wrong sized plugs into it. TV is a little small for such a large room and the channels aren’t even in HD. Regardless the room was clean, bed was comfy and we enjoyed a good nights rest.

Location: Lau Pa Sat a block away, it’s our favourite spot to eat in Singapore. Raffles Place MRT station and Downtown MRT station are close which allows easy access around the city.

Staff: Super friendly and nice. We were hopping on a short cruise before our stay and asked the hotel if we can leave some luggage with them for a few days as we wouldn’t need them for the cruise and they said yes. No luggage storage fees either!

We look forward to staying again.

Staff could’ve checked all the light switches before checking in a guest. One of the light switches was wonky but was fixed the next day.
The fire alarm went off 3 times in 4 days. One time it went off at 12:30 am while I was sleeping.
Room was spacious and it had a washer which I didn’t get to use. Kitchenette was good and I liked the amenities.

They didn’t have Netflix and the like on the main bigger tv but only on the little one, so making it a little harder to watch tv in bed. Overall nice hotel and great location.

Very relaxing stay after long day flying

The only issue i could find with the room and its not really a major ticket item, there was a tile under the bath either broken or just pushed in leaving a gap. Outside of that, we were coming off a back to back 7 and a half hour flights and the minute i hit the pillow i was asleep, so that was a huge plus.
The staff were very helpful and the check in proceedure was very smooth.

Check in was a breeze. Front desk officer was warm and friendly. If they could also provide bathrobes in the room, everything for the stay would be a great.
The small kitchenette was brilliant though the carpentry a bit dated. Housekeeping didn't clean the microwave as there's a bowl left behind inside it. The stove didn't seems to work when we tried using it. Otherwise everything was good and thoughtful for a pleasant stay.
Swimming pool has a nice view and the kids enjoyed the Living room where they can chillax and play boardgames while adults can sip coffee with light snacks.
Cons about the pool though there isn't a shower room facilities where you can shower first before heading up to your room. Nonetheless I find that I still enjoy staying at this hotel and would love to stay here again.

Travelling is made so much easier with a kitchenette and washing machine, which was our main reason for booking here. Excellent choice as both were more than adequate and included dishwasher, all utensils and crockery, storage, and fridge all discretely built in. Large bathroom though the shower setup in a little side area with spa tub was a little unnecessary, with a clumsy hot cold tap system. Bed configuration and direction is a little strange, facing the window. But spacious, and everything in great condition. Lounge space with smaller tv. Wonderful pool and gym area, and Residents Lounge on floor 19 was a comfortable extra space for a coffee and rest. Staff are excellent. Metres from Raffles Place subway making it easy to get from the airport l, and within 2-4 stops of many Singapore attractions such as Marina Bay, Chinatown, Little India and Middle East. Aimed more at business travellers, and a little more expensive, but definitely great for couples who want more space and amenities, who don’t want to be in a cramped hotel room. We really liked it.

The only reason why not giving it a 5 star is the incredibly strong smell of air fresheners at the reception area, that would make us dizzy and trigger allergies and asthma. We literally had to hold our breathe every time we were entering or leaving the hotel. Thank goodness it wasn’t like that in our room. Other than that, the room was awesome, spacious, squeaky clean, and it was beautifully taken care of daily by Ryan, who did an AMAZING job with making our room extra comfy and welcoming with beautiful towel and flower arrangements 😀 The location is perfect to visit the best of Singapore walking, by metro, or biking.

Was disappointed about the maintenance of the room. For example, the walls and furniture looked old and dirty. Our outside terrace was gross, dirty and old, definitely not maintained at all.
Customer service was below avg with the exception of Kumar who was very good and helped with the laundry machine and outlet panel which fell off the wall.

A lovely property in an excellent location. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Marina bay Sands shops, as well as to the Merlion, Clarks Quay and china town. It is only a 5 minute walk to the blue and red MRT lines. The staff and facilities were wonderful. The staff was very helpful. We will stay here again when we return to Singapore.

Rooms are spacious (for the price, compared with staying in Orchard area) and had a washer-dryer which is great for longer stays. Trains station entrance just outside hotel (covered walkway) with direct train to Orchard and Bugis. Nice food nearby at Lau Pa Sat, Marina Link Mall and Basement at Hong Leong. Overall convenient location.

The good service was slow and a bit poor , I requested hot tea and was brought cold tea. There was no concierge and when ask staff questions they could help . I pre booked airport taxi but when went to the text in the morning there was no booking although was told it was booked the day before . It was a nice apartment but guess needs a bit more modernising

The location is wonderful, right outside MRT Raffles Place and can walk to The Promontory and Red Dot Design Museum. Staff is helpful, will send WhatsApp messages to see if you need anything. The building felt older but well maintained. The single beds were really single (felt small), especially compared with the huge room. Overall very nice. If location is your top priority, this is worth considering.

Altho my arrival was nice at this lovely property with friendly staff , sadly upper management had failed to provide Any info about open grocery stores or restaurants to lobby staff . I was directed to a grocery store that was closed as were all restaurants . While most of Singapore food sources were closed for days, there must have been a few stores that were open somewhere . The Absence of food services except for 7-11 & a dirty swamped hawker stand for 5 days is definitely a giant negative to me .

Convenient location, attractive property, but…

Stayed 4 days prior to a cruise. The property is attractive and in a convenient and desirable location. The apartments are nice but have a lot of oddities and annoyances, especially relayed to unfamiliar appliances like the coffeemaker and water purifier with no operating instructions available. The main switch where you needed to insert the key in order to turn on the lights was at least 10 feet down the hall from the front door and hard to find. The water faucet “handle” in the bathroom was a thin sort of joystick that was tricky to maneuver and difficult to shut off so it wouldn’t drip. The hair dryer had too short of a cord and a tiny button that you had to tightly hold constantly to maintain power. This was very difficult for my arthritic fingers to maneuver and to dry my hair when I had to keep my head close to the outlet and away from the mirror because of the short cord. The staff were generally pleasant but did not have a lot of knowledge or patience regarding how to work the idiosyncracies of the appliances and fixtures.
