Room is not big, but nice. Rose garden across the road, nice to stroll and walked to the bay area. It is about 20 minutes away from Auckland Domain and 30 minutes away from Sky tower. Free parking is a good bonus around the bay area.

Rude receptionist, We got given a different room than the room we had booked 3 separate times, “new management” means they couldn’t offer the room we had actually already paid for, instead offering only to “upgrade” us to room with a pointless second bed.

Toilet was also not flushed when we arrived (disgusting)
And the TV didn’t get any channels. Hilariously bad. Do not recommend. Location is good.

Free parking was great but hotel is very run down and the hallways feel more like a prison with how it’s designed. Room was clean though!
Do not book the balcony rooms as they’re pretty much unusable. There’s 2 big AC units in the middle of the balcony and it’s extremely dirty.

The room and en suite were fine however I felt it was more of a motel than a hotel. The pool is small and no view. There is a free car park and there are restaurants within walking distance. We went to a fab Nepalese place. The hotel facade is just not very pleasant. The receptionist was fairly indifferent and we had to lug our heavy suitcases up to the first floor up a really steep metal staircase.

(1). The room was freezing cold. Air con was complicated to operate.
(2). Room lacked black-out window coverings Room was far too light, especially with a large very strong light on all nite which was situated immediately outside the window.
(3). Room was noisy in the early hours of the morning with the sounds of people traversing the floor above.
This room is to be avoided at all cost.

Toilet door was a bit weird, was a sliding door and would slide back open if not locked. Was a mission to lock it and then to unlock it (i did get locked in there for a minute) i didnt want to bother reception about it - got it sorted in end

The only lighting in our room was 2 small bedside lights. These small lights were inadequate in the early morning when we got up. Had to leave the bathroom door open and light on so we could see. The restaurant was cold and the food disappointing. While we may stay again we will not go back to the restaurant.

As we couldn't get it first time we stayed, this is likely a systemic failure. Second problem was the lukewarm fridge temperature. Staff lady said this was normal, but not food-safe. Very poor

Having stayed here before I was disappointed on this occasion. We were given room 208 which is below the dining room - the noise of chatter went on late and could be heard over earplugs. Not ideal before an early flight!

Having checked in Auckland Rose Park Hotel at 4pm on 17/5/2025 (Saturday), we asked the young lady receptionist, Lena, for directions on where to push the trolley from our handicapped car park at Tudor Block where the hotel reception was. The entry we were trying to get into had a low door span, and the hotel trolley was to tall.

Unfortunately, Lena lack customer relation ability and appeared very inexperienced and not-interested. apart from sitting comfortably at her chair at the reception only. We asked her,” You must be very new to this job.” She answered No, I have been working here for 2 years. Say no more, on her failing ability.

It's commonly know that any staff working in the hospitality industry would already have been trained to know how to interact with customers and be hospitable, such as offering help where needed.

Refusing to help and just sitting there is definitely unacceptable behaviour.

I met the hotel manager the very next morning and I told him that I have been staying at Auckland Rose Hotel for a few times last year. I told him that I’m going to write a review on Trip Advisor, Hotels.com and Google.

Apart from the bad experience we encountered upon check in, we have noticed that the floor above us got consistent loud banging noise. Early morning appearing to be a tradesman working.

Our room was 209 and upstairs was their kitchen and restaurant. We suspected that this loud hanging noise was coming fro
